David Ingle: I’ve been having issues with my central heating system and hot water which are both generated through the same boiler, for the last 5 months. Other contracted providers have failed to resolve the problem despite 5 previous visits. Yesterday all that changed. Mark attended, helpful, informative and highly professional. He took time to read and listen to the passed failed repairs! After two hours of nonstop work he finally resolved the issues. Toby Mallinson: It's the response when things go wrong that counts and Smart flow really got it right We called them to repair a leaky toilet soil pipe and the work was done very professionally. However, the work created a slow leak from the cistern seal not noticeable immediately. They returned on the same day I told them about this and it was sorted free of further charges. The hourly rate (£99) is high but we'll worth it given the service. He was on site well over an hour for the first call out but they only charged for the hour. Took payment over the phone before he left. They also want a deposit up front which is fair enough. Tbh their payment system helped make things very efficient.

He informed us he was on the way and estimated arrival time which immediately put our minds at rest. So it was a bit daunting to know which plumber to call when I discovered an issue with my old stop tap that wouldn’t budge. I called Renald and he was so helpful and friendly, he managed to visit just a couple of days later and within the hour he had resolved the problem. Nuke Hutchison: If they approach plumbing like they do driving I would avoid.Branded van this morning overtook a whole lane of right turning traffic by driving down the wrong side of the carriageway forcing on coming traffic to stop, before cutting in to the queue at the last minute. Then tail gated a car transporter onto the roundabout again forcing on coming traffic to stop. Completely disrespectful of other road users and dangerous. If this is the character of the staff I wouldn't trust them in my house.

Jacqueline Brabham: Having been let down several times by our usual engineer, I asked for recommendations locally for a gas engineer; the obvious choice seemed to be Youle and Son. Paul Kearns: Could only do a part service (not his fault) on the boiler because of the way it was installed. This was not an issue of course but he removed a plinth from the top of the kitchen cupboard and a piece of boarding and, not only did he not put it back as it was but left the bits of plaster etc on the floor before rushing off. The boarding was on the sink and the plinth was just loose on the cupboard with the screws not put back in when I came back from work. Not a great situation for my wife and 1 year old to be left in!I know ‘kitchen fitting’ (as he quite abruptly put to my wife) is not his job and I do appreciate that but never known a professional tradesman to not at least tidy up after themselves. Sophie Shaw: Had a gas fire removed, my gas boiler serviced, 2 small parts fitted and 4 of my radiators filled after they had been taken off the walls for decorating. Work was done over 2 visits and both engineers were courteous, friendly and respectful of my home. Office staff were informed and helpful. However, I was really not happy with the pricing structure. I was quoted a price for the work which was reasonable compared to other companies I had contacted but after the jobs had commenced I was told I needed to pay by the hour for the work. The boiler needed 2 small, cheap (£15 total) parts which the engineer didn’t have so I had to pay for another 2 hours of labour for this and a recheck of everything the first engineer did. When the radiators were checked (another hour of labour) the engineer found there was small, cheap part missing from 1 radiator (he told me it should cost £1) however again he didn’t have the part on him so to resolve this problem I would have to have a third visit and pay for at least another hour of labour (£50 minimum). I can’t afford this so I’m going to try myself but it was very disappointing when you were quoted a fair price originally and ended up spending considerably more than this in the end. Work and customer service good but be prepared to pay much more than you’re quoted.

john gaughan: Worst company ever more like last call gas all they want to do is sell you new boiler as covered the heat exchanger buy when it went they said too much for them to repair so get a new boiler but over years British Gas replaced heat exchanger twice even when they came out when water was over flowing outside he just drained excess water which I said would happen when you refill which it did but they tried saying can’t get heat exchanger for vokera boiler so I checked on line and saw loads for sale all they wanted was for a boiler sale so went with boxt cheaper and great workmanship.would not recommend

Keith Senior: Our gas boiler wouldn't work last night, first time we turned it on this year. The pressure gauge was reading just over 3 on the dial which indicated there was a fault and to call a service engineer asap. Having seen other reviews of satisfied customers I called 1st Call and an engineer was at my home within the hour which was excellent service. £70 was quoted on the phone which turned out to be £84 with VAT which wasnt mentioned at the time of booking. The engineer drained some water out and was here 10mins. The heating is working now, but £84 is abit OTT
