Richard Howard: They make lovely coffee and the best scones in yorkshire. The also do nice meals and snacks, with a breakfast and lunch menu. They also do special evenings with entertainment that are worth looking out for. The place is dog friendly and has both indoor and outdoor seating. It is part of a concern that also has clothes, household items, lots of garden items and has a garden centre. Worth a visit, especially as it is so handy just off the A57 by Todwick.

They are also licensed to sell alcohol. There is a ladies clothes shop adjacent with some very fashionable items and also a garden centre.there is a big car park but sometimes it can get very busy. Definitely be calling in again.
Lucy Martin
Lucy Martin: It wasn't the lack of cream for my scone that was disappointing it was the loud thumping music coming out of the speaker.Looking around at the other customers at 1pm on a Wednesday lunchtime the average age must have been 60 plus. Now it is named a Bistro instead of a cafe must we endure loud music with our lunch?? Should I be in the area again I will sit outside and enjoy my delicious scone.

The Grind Cafe: what do users think?
emily sackville-bryant
emily sackville-bryant: fresh good quality food,, nice chilled out atmosphere. took about 45 minutes from ordering to receive food but was well worth it. in a regeneration area with a hipster vibe note: only need one coffee since they are very strong,, also come early cos by 10am all tables are full :)
Simon Myers
Simon Myers: Really nice location for coffee, cakes and food. My 2nd visit but first time eating in. The location is next to a large carpark so its easy to park and visit. The cafe makes great coffee. I ordered the Turkish breakfast and the black pudding and both were excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and found us a table. The while location has a nice vibe and seems like it would be a nice place to call into for a coffee blast.
Faz
Faz: Had a lovely breakfast at the grind would recommend, the staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Sasha Smith
Sasha Smith: Wow!! What a brilliant hidden gem near Kelham Island. The vibe inside is chilled out and rustic, the staff are friendly and attentive. The food, is amazing! I went for the vegan breakfast and is was probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had! The avocado is full of flavour and zesty. The beans are smoky and rich, the vegetarian sausages are delicious! Definitely recommend. 10/10.
Kat O
Kat O: Such a lovley find. The guy who served us, (i didn’t get his name), was so genuine and friendly. The food was lovely and so was the coffee. Thanks a lot !
Elle Lewing
Elle Lewing: Had eggs Benedict, which was tasty but they were very stingy on the sauces, no butter on the bagels and the eggs over cooked! these things combined made the meal incredibly dry. Would give it another chance though not in any rush as it’s quite pricey for an average meal, which is disappointing as we’d talked about eating there for a long time. Staff were pleasant and service was quick, though water glasses were dirty. Nice coffee at a good temperature (not too hot to drink, but hot enough) :)
James Rickett
James Rickett: Best Breakfast I have had in Sheffield. Quality, fresh cooked and lots of it. The homemade beans are amazing!

Cameron Clark: Fantastic coffee, nice crockery, nice atmosphere and decor - would recommend
Brad Hancock
Brad Hancock: We had the full english breakfast here and for the price it is really not worth it. £21 for a breakfast and a latte in Sheffield is already overpriced as I've paid less in central London. But, the hash browns are not hash browns, the portion size is small, and the overall taste is underwhelming. However, the coffee here is good and they offer milk alternatives as well as syrups.

Emma Tackie: Really impressed with Grind Cafe. The atmosphere is very nice, I absolutely love the decor, it's really cute. The staff are lovely, and the cafe is really clean too. Just wish the cups were a little bigger because the drinks are so yummy!
Carl Sherratt
Carl Sherratt: Great cafe relaxing atmosphere with restaurant quality food which gets 10/10. Had a lovely time enjoying a meal planned for my son's birthday, highly recommended.

Andy Turner: I hadn't been to the grind in age's, but very pleased to get a table, for a lovely breakfast, bacon sandwich for me. The coffee was excellent, the only slight hitch was they forgot our breakfast sandwiches, but after mentioning it, they apologised, brought us more coffees and breakfast sandwiches followed. I can't wait to go again, it was just as good as I remembered.
Jason Garner
Jason Garner: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Keith Ellis
Keith Ellis: Lovely coffee and friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere (and our dog loved it too!)
Luke Martin
Luke Martin: Very disappointing. This place is entirely style over substance. It thinks its cooler than it is. We waited 20 minutes to be served good microwaved from a fridge which wasn't even consistently warm through. They forgot our coffee order and we had to ask again. The menu is confusing and poorly put together. The furniture was uncomfortable. They have high chairs but nothing on the menu suitable for kids.

Danny Faulkner: Im sorry but £5 for a chicken wrap that was mainly salad is not value for money. You can’t fault the friendly staff, however the prices have increased and quality and quantity of the food has significantly declined!
Sarang Dalne
Sarang Dalne: Went here for lunch on a work day. Definitely recommend getting there before 12.15, it got pretty crowded soon after. Ordered cornish pastry with potatoes and peas and a flat white. Food was crying out for some seasonings. Flat white was good but not good enough to overcome for the lack luster food. Definitely felt like a place where everyone had to go because there were no other options. Cheers!

As soon as we walked in we got a warm welcome from a Lady who normally works at the Bradway Cafe, shown to a table in a beautiful, relaxing room. The atmosphere, food and service is excellent......11 out of 10, perfect.
tommtwemm
tommtwemm: Amazing café with equally as amazing food and friendly service. We came on a Sunday and there were a few tables occupied but not bustling luckily. Very friendly greeting upon entry and we were shown to our table. From the easy to read and well varied menu we got poached egg on sourdough with smashed avocado & one off the specials board - garlic mushroom and halloumi burger which came w chips. Waiting time for these was great, didn’t take long to come out at all, the dishes tasted just as good as they looked. The poached eggs were lovely & runny, smashed avocado was the perfect balance of chunky and smooth. The burger was phenomenal, garlic mushrooms done without fault, halloumi was super tasty and the chips that accompanied the burger were superb with the spicy salt seasoning. After we finished we couldn’t leave without getting a couple baked goods from their mouthwatering selection. A coffee & walnut cake and biscoff brownie to have later on. Well worth a visit.

Kelvin Lu
Kelvin Lu: I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming coffee shop in the heart of the city, and I can honestly say that it was one of the best coffee shop experiences I've ever had. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor was tasteful and inviting, with plenty of comfortable seating options to choose from. The service was outstanding - the baristas were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their craft. They took the time to answer my questions and make recommendations based on my preferences, and they were always happy to chat and make me feel at home. And let's talk about the coffee itself - it was simply delicious! The beans were clearly of the highest quality, and the baristas' skill in preparing the drinks was evident in every sip. I tried a few different drinks during my visit, and each one was expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. But what really sets this coffee shop apart is the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Despite being located in the bustling city center, it somehow manages to feel like a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle outside. I could have happily spent hours there, sipping my coffee and enjoying the ambiance.Overall, I would highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and delicious coffee experience in the heart of the city. It truly deserves five stars!

The man on the counter clearly seems distracted and as I waited for my tea, the lady waitress arrived with a small coffee. Once I advised her of the correct order, she asked me to go to the till and pay for the tea again, which I did. I then waited for almost ten minutes for the tea but it never arrived. There were hardly any customers in the coffee shop waiting for their order. I then noticed the lady making tea gossiping with the some people on the counter and not giving any attention to my order. I had to cancel my order walk away. Absolutely dismal service!

Lacey Mason
Lacey Mason: Good place for a coffee and cake, although it’s more of a young persons place as was loud (is close to the Uni so that’s a clue!) Had a nice cup of tea, but late in the day on a Thursday there wasn’t many cake options left. Annoyingly there was a meeting being held at 5.30pm which was closing time, but I was asked to move from my table at 5pm so they could set up and then a lady repeatedly came round telling us we would need to leave at 5.30pm.

chr: It’s a nicely designed Café, with a good location in the SU. Sometimes it’s really packed and slightly disorganised, but it still gives me a special sense of comfort whenever I pass by when I am in the SU. I love the Pain au Chocolat (2.50£) Definitely my go-to order. The iced Americano (2.65£) is ok. I think most of the menu items are just ok hence my imperfect rating. It’s a decent place to chill and hang out. And definitely one of the highlights in the SU.

Dr. H.: A nice cafe located inside the Student's union building. Ordered latte. It was good. The taste could be improved slightly though.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Holly Cooper
Holly Cooper: I come here quite often to get work done in the morning with the motivation of the nice coffee and tea they serve! All my experiences so far with the staff were great however I went in to get a coffee this morning and was served by a staff member who was very off handed with me! I went order from the place I usually order from, the staff member that served me, advised me to order from the non-takeaway section, after I ordered a pot of tea. This was done with no empathy towards me, as I was just a little confused as I always had no problem ordering drinks to stay in there. So I made my way over to the correct stay in section, were the same staff member served me. I tried to smile whilst I attempted to re-order to lighten the mood between us but to no avail. Throughout this, I just felt that I was unwelcome there and just in the way. I don’t expect staff to be overly nice to me but I do want to be treated as a person who makes mistakes sometimes!
fatma bucklain
fatma bucklain: Very good service, good coffee.
Andy Barker
Andy Barker: Nice location and coffee. Asked for a cappuccino and they charged me for the most expensive largest one without asking which one I wanted. So happy but on principle will not be coming back.
Sebastiano Zuddas
Sebastiano Zuddas: Fav coffee
Tom H
Tom H: Kind of wish they would call a spade a spade because if you are unfamiliar with the menu your drink order if tea may come out as mint tea but its a relaxed place not too expensive. Does get busy around lunch though
Peter Hardie
Peter Hardie: Nice cup of tea and cakes. Good place if you're on the uni campus.
Beatrice Greenfield
Beatrice Greenfield: Lovely and lively
Antonis Maronikolakis
Antonis Maronikolakis: Love the place, even though it can be hard to find a place to sit. The desserts are to kill for, and ridiculously cheap. For real, they are much bigger than expected, you are going to need two people to finish them!
Wahhab Hassan
Wahhab Hassan: A bit cramped and overpriced.

Tamper Sellers Wheel: what do users think?
Kirsten Howard
Kirsten Howard: The food was decent, if massively overpriced, but no sweetener in a coffee place? Come on lol
Anton Hecht
Anton Hecht: . It is an anti cafe. I am told in a near empty cafe that I only have an hour!!!! I also went there with a friend with a toddler and was made to sit by door and to feel very very unwelcome. I also went there in snow when everywhere shut and once again it near empty to be told when taking out laptop ‘it not a workspace’ and they’ll need the table in an hour. I work at the hallam and I ask all hallam people do not continue to assist this anti cafe ridiculous unfriendly and inhospitable business to continue. Honestly an empty cafe when you are told you have and hour is not a cafe.

SX L: This place has great reviews so we decided to try. When we arrived we were told we have to wait for an hour as the place is full. Don’t be fazed as it’s not that long. We grabbed a coffee and was seated when the coffee arrived. We ordered scrambled tofu and chilli crab. Was not as impressed by them and we weren’t full. Added on sweet potato fries which was great! Could tell it’s fresh and not frozen. Wasn’t sure why people said the coffee is to die for, though it was too bitter.
Miss Is
Miss Is: YOU HAVE TO BOOK A TABLE ESPECIALLY BEFORE 2PM. I couldn't see any signs outside to say this nor on Google review. Didn't think to check the website. Otherwise wouldn't have driven from far to check this place out. Arrived and was asked if we had a booking...which we didn't.Looking through to the seating area it was very busy, gloomy dark looking with hard wooden chairs. Instead we sat on the few seats available near the cashier coffee area. The wait was going to be 25mins without a booking so we had a coffee instead which was presented nice. Slightly bitter. Wouldn't come again sadly.
