Ferndale Garden Centre Sheffield: what do users think?

Chris Wells: Large and well established garden centre on the outskirts of Sheffield Ferndale garden centre has been open for years. Plenty of parking spaces and a fairly large cafe inside. Well stocked with a large selection of bedding plants, shrubs, trees, bulbs and open seven days a week. Well worth a visit.

artificialtwenty784: Very good range of plants, outdoor furniture, books and also a cafe with a good selection of foods including a few gluten free options. Friendly staff who are happy to help you find the right plant for your garden.

Sam Vines: Visited with my parents a few weeks ago. Very nice garden centre full of interesting plants and other products. Had a bacon roll and cup of tea in the cafe; the roll was absolutely massive, very tasty, and served quickly. It was, however, fairly expensive. The place has a nice feel and the cafe is spacious, clean, and decorated with interesting local art. The only downside was the closure of one of the toilets.

Amy Spencer: Lovely garden centre with lots of plants, gifts and other items for sale. They also host a lovely cafe that makes homemade food and cakes. The plants are on the pricey side, but the quality is very good.

Ali Fenton: Lovely Christmas display and lots of choice of plants etc, but the cafe is the star. The food is fantastic and the staff are brilliant. Another plus is that everything is wheelchair friendly. Really worth a visit.

Amy Naylor: Bought a Christmas tree. The range of trees and decorations were small compared to other garden centres I have visited. Very lovely staff and the rest of the centre offers well kept plants

Kevin Brice: Great choice of plants etc at reasonable prices. Cafe is dog friendly which is great, food tasty and friendly helpful staff.

Peter Cross: We visited Wentworth Garden Centre on Sunday. It was a glorious day & we had a lovely walk around the gardens. It is really quite stunning to see all the colours of the plants & the trees. We also saw the deer up close. We had breakfast in The Bothy which was delicious, salmon & scrambled egg & a pot of Yorkshire tea. A walk around the shop is always good too, such a varied range of products in there & then we had a latte & some cake in the restaurant. All on all a lovely day, it really is a wonderful place to visit & spend several hours there. The staff in all departments are really quite attentive & knowledgeable & really friendly. It really is a place to recommend highly.
John Walker: Very nice Sunday dinner
Catherine Morley: It's just a great place for middle aged folk with disposable income to buy plants and, beautiful over-priced tat. I was there two weeks ago and everything is still alive!
janos kuzmos: Was good, but expensive and very busy
Wayne Hanson: Used to be unique. Just as easy to by things from other shops at a fraction of the cost. Went in for a breakfast menu, but queued that long it was dinner menu by the time we got served

Mikey Stuart: Very nice feeling from this place, its well stocked and loads of great things to look at, it's very expensive but I like to go to look around.
