pokemaster2331: Very large selection both of comics and manga. It seems to be that they have only a few volumes of a series in order to have more series, as the shop itself is rather small. Nonetheless, they will order in ones that are not in the shop, which is a useful service. Also worth keeping an eye on their clearance section. Furthermore, they have a decent selection of merchandise and a wide range of CDs. It is a little cramped though, so try to avoid busy times, or else looking at the items may be difficult. Could also do with some reorganization

It was a few years since my last visit, but was glad to return during the New Year to see they were still trading. Of course, they don't just cater to those who enjoy anime and manga, and have an excellent selection of comics, books and some choice items of memorabilia, both near the counter and at the back of the store.If you're looking for something in particular that they don't have in stock, be sure to chat with the friendly staff. More often than not, they may be able to source what you're looking for.

Craig Hadden: Robin's nest is a lovely shop full of all things nerdy, geeky, and LGBTQIA+ supportive. Robin is lovely and always serves with a smile.The range of dice sets and dnd merchandise is brilliant, with a spinning rack of unpainted minis, bookshelves of books and other TTRPGS, and a great selection of other useful DM tools like play mats and spell cards.The other things available range from cute anime inspired stationary, to anime figurines, and plushies.All in all a great little shop for nerds and geeks that want a place to pick up useful and cute paraphernalia for their games and collections.

Claude Frankish: Robin's Nest Comics is a humble little shop for all your geeky needs! As well as comics for sale they have manga, collectible figurines/figures, plushies, pride flags and badges, pins, Warhammer figures, paint for the figures, posters, t-shirts and lots more! Plus the person running the shop is an absolute sweetheart and they're always happy to chat or answer any questions. Definitely a hidden gem for any geeky person out there

Blue Eyed Genie: Went with my 12 year old. It's not a shop I'd expect to ever see myself in, but you do what makes your child happy. My child and the shop assistant seemed to be speaking in a different language. (I don't understand all this anime stuff)Anyhoo according to said child, it was a 10/10 amazing experience. Apparently no need for Amazon or eBay anymore.One thing though my child would have liked it if they had more anime related figures. Not sure if that's something in the pipeline, as I am aware the shop has only recently opened.All in all a very pleasurable experience and the shop assistant was friendly, helpful and from what I could gather he knew his stuff.
MEAT RagetEch: Went in to buy manga books as I saw the place online and they had a lot of old ones from the early 2000s however a lot of the books where quite damaged yet they were still charging £6.99 upwards per book which in my opinion is a lot for a second hand book let alone a damaged one.

Anthony Roberts: Placed an order in excess of £130 last Saturday (8th) early AM with next day delivery. It is now the 22nd and items still not arrived.Store emailed stating one item in order was out of stock (set of markers) though I'm sure it wasn't at point of order. Email received on the Tuesday (11th). I then replied to that email, but it was none replyable. I then qttempted to call the company via their supplied number. Finally got through the next day (wed12th) at 15:30 after 10 attempts through the the 2 days. Staffer that answered the call couldn't help and referred to email them.So emailed straight away requesting item out of stock be removed and other items dispatched.Received reply next morning 09:09 (thurs13th) requesting confirmation. Replied at 09:52 stating that is what I wanted. Was informed the order was recified and items would be dispatched with a matter of urgency at 10:24 on Thurs 13th. I was also informed in the mail the shop team would be able to assist should I require it.I received mail from DPD on the 14th at 11:26 stating shipping details had been created and they would update when collected.DPD tracking still shows uncollected.Contacted store today.Manager insists its dispatched.Spoke to 'owner' insists dispatched.Told exuses, and only options are to return when eventually arrive.Items purchased for an event tomorrow and left with no time to seek alternative models.

He was very rude and being unwelcoming. I walked straight back out as I'm not buying from a shop with employees like that. Only because I'm a teenager doesn't mean I'm going to mess around like some of them. I wasn't intimidating or causing any harm but when you walk into a shop you don't expect to get shouted at by staff.

Genine Thompson: I bought a Safety 1st baby gate from Smyths at Drakehouse, it was so complicated to assemble and it transpired 2 vital nuts were missing. Returning the product to the store I was informed that because it was a child safely product it was Smyths policy not to give a refund! I am therefore expected to use a child SAFETY gate that is unsafe.

Leanne Whitmore: Went to store today to purchase the Joie i-spin 360. Was approached by Millie who asked if me and my partner needed help. She guided us through the specification of the seat and explained the differences between this and the joie spin 360. We got to try our son in the seat which was helpful, as he is a big 4 month old. Millie had a friendly and playful attitude towards my son which made the experience more chilled. Millie didn't put no pressure on us and gave information on other models I asked about to compare and I asked her professional opinion. After purchasing, she offered to come out and help us install the car seat. She went over the saftey features whilst checking them during installation. Overall a super experience with a fantastic member of staff that has great product knowledge, very helpful and friendly.

He was vague and couldn’t be bothered and was anti social in helping, no smile or politeness. ABUZAR ZAHID: As a new parent I order £300 pram and received order but it wasnt what I ordered, went back to store and I was appalled and disgusted by the way they dealt with the matter. I haven't seen worse customer experience in my entire career of 10 years sales. Staff blatantly just refused to help and didnt give me exchange or refund. Just disgusted with the service. Wouldn't recommend to ruin anyones their once in a lifetime experience by going here.

Cenk Turkoglu: If you are looking for a great selection of DVDs and Blu-rays, as well as a good enough number of figures, it is a great place.

Mickey Moran: My band KissKissKill (@xxkofficial on insta) performed here on Saturday 22nd. This is a regular thing on Saturdays and a great way to discover new music right on your doorstep. The layout of the store was great! the collection of vinyl and merch/tshirts was cool too. The staff were wonderful, helpful and informative.

Symon Payne: As HMV have diversified over the years there is less and less choice. Popular chart stuff only. Too many toys, record players and tee shirts these days. Not enough music anymore. Got everything I wanted from Amazon in the end. The HighbStreet will only survive if the High Street has the products the people want. Why waste so much space on record players. Its not an item people buy very often and I wouldn't buy one from HMV anyway. I would go to somewhere like Richer Sounds, their staff know about the products they sell. The HMV staff were clueless when asked a simple techie question about record players!.

Patch Sandy: Great but some of the new stuff not in. Sometimes things are not brand new and are scratched especially the older things. The food things are very expensive cereal £19.99 or pop £3.99 lol. Sales are good for new things. Records can be brought cheaper at our local shop and ordered.
