One Life Funeral Planning: what do users think?

Jan Cosgrove: Adam listened carefully to what we wanted to match the plan. There was no pressure and we had time to think about it and check again st other plans. It is good value. We could ask any questions and the information was clear. Adam called as arranged and checked if we were happy with the plan. The application was easily done in a pleasant and informal way. Thank you Adam.

Sue Cox: I found the whole experience with setting up my plan very easy. I spoke with Danny Bannister. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and patient with me if there was something I was not sure of and happy to repeat anything. I would recommend this company and particularly Danny to anyone interested in a funeral plan. Regards Sue

Paul Turley: Nicola was very informative and not at all pushy she encouraged me to digest the information before. I made a decision. When I made the decision she methodically went through all the steps explaining everything fully often more than once. If the remainder of your service is half as good I will be extremely happy. I cannot fail to recommend your services. Oh and PS give Nicola a pay rise

heggers C: Dean simpson was very informative and helpful. Being a single mum I now feel confident I wont be leaving any nasty costly surprises for my children.

Rhona Smith: Been considering a pre paid funeral plan for some time now, since a serious accident left me realising how vulnerable we all are. I did not want to ever leave my family stuck with a large bill to pay for my funeral so I did some online research. This eventually led to a telephone chat with Harry Hunt at One Life. He was friendly, polite, patient with my long list of questions, and he never made me feel under any pressure to "buy". In fact he was the opposite of "hard sell", patiently explaining all the options. I purchased the plan and now have peace of mind that when the time comes my family will have one less thing to worry about. Highly recommend.
Nicola Watts: I lost my mother on 3rd January 2023. The administration team (Matthew) and the team dealing with insolvency were excellent and paid the funeral expenses within 48 hours of receiving the invoice. Excellent service under the circumstances. Thank you.
Cathryn Williams: Gone into administration still advertising call there number n getting fob off disgusting service
COLIN findlay: This company treats people with total disregard. It's in administration and refuses to accept customers queries.
gillian stroud: Hello just to say my husband has his funeral paid for . For when he dies its all paid up can u let me know if you are still in operation thanks
Julie Fuller: Not registered with FCA and should be contacting existing funeral plan holders with regards to transferring plans to a reputable company. If you have a plan with them and you haven't heard anything from them by 31st October get in touch with them
Stella Knibbs: Please do not use this service. They will make so many promises then when the time comes they are difficult to get hold off. My mother arranged her plan and so far it has been shocking. 1st off we had to make so many calls to find out when they would pick mums body up. Next we have been trying to find out about her ashes and guess what they sent the. To Sheffield we live in Hertfordshire and then they said they had the wrong number to contact us. If mum was alive she would be shocked at the stress this hS caused us and the upset for our family is beyond words. Do not use this company
Dave Peckham: Requested a will for me and partner, was told the price was £94 including any amendments, I explained it wouldn’t be straight forward, but was reassured that was the price so made an appointment. On the appointment we explained at the start it wasn’t going to be straight forward, but again was reassured everyone would be fine. An hour later, after going though everything, we were told two things that we required was an additional cost, one was £295 & the other £125, never at any point in the call when we were discussing the points, did he say these items would not be included in the initial cost given. Complete con. Stay away from this company
steven goulding: He was very helpful and talk me through the plan that I understood
K B: Cold called me for a funeral plan a few weeks after losing my dad. I’m devastated. I never asked for the call and they have no right to ring me.
Jane Hale: I have just had a call from one of your team and was told at my age (56) that I should be thinking about death !!
Tony Chance: An easy experience with all queries answered by a friendly representative , thank you Shaun . Have gone with the bronze option which I believe suits my family and I .
Duncan Muir: Excellent service Gareth explained everything made it so much easier to make the Wright decision
Keira: Worked at this company for less than 24hrs and can safely say what they are doing to make a living is unethical. I was told this is not a cold calling service, but I struggle to believe that. Even worse, the company is calling people from all generations and ages to set up a funeral plan. Bizarre business!! Additionally, the computer generates a call automatically and all you see is a name, with this you follow a script to aim to get a sale. Hard to make a sale through cold calling never mind it being a sensitive topic. I also talked to many lovely people working there of which had the same opinion as myself but stayed as they just needed employment. Staff are lovely, unfortunately I refuse to believe this will be a lifetime company once investigated. Not to say they do not sell funeral plans, but their information is sourced wrongly.
Ruby Slippers: Shocking! Got a cold call from this company today, he said that it wasn't many years away and have I thought about burial or cremation, I'm 48!!! It took me by surprise and I swore at the poor guy, apologies for that but what a shameful way to get business, I will be reporting this as suggested by another review.
Lisa Cochrane: Cold calling to ask if I wish to be buried or cremated is totally unacceptable. I have not asked for any funeral planning services, you have no idea what people are going through to call and ask so bluntly - sort yourselves out ! Terrible company
Sonja Spencer: Danny was brilliant. He explained everything so I understood exactly what I was signing up for. Nothing was any trouble. I am very happy with One Life Funeral Planning. Thank you Danny.
Carl Pearce: I found the whole experience easy from start to finish and competitive prices, all made easier with the help of George Dislins.
Ruth Williams: Just got cold called by one life, not impressed. I'm in my 40's. And to be told as if they are an official caller when asked who is it? 'Oh it's nothing to worry about Ruth' where did you get my number and name???
Lynda Wright: Mr Danny Bannister was friendly, informative, polite and professional. I would happily recommend One Life Funeral Plan to my family and friends due to Danny. Thank you.

Michael Fogg Funeral Directors: what do users think?

Danny Burkhill: What a Great service Michael and his team gave us he is so professional in everything from start to finish he gives 100% in making the day a special one i would recommend Michael Fogg to anyone he is so sympathetic he makes you at ease while going through a bad time not only on the day but after he will make sure that you and your family are ok no other funeral directors do this he will go out of his way to get extra things like for us he got Eddie Storbart to send a collectors truck to put on the coffin also managed to get a truck named after our friend that had passed has she was Eddie Storbart mad we all thank you for everything that you have done for the day and afterwards Michael Fogg is your man

Karen Roebuck: A big Thankyou to Michael Fogg and his team. Yet again he delivered a highly professional and respectful service for our mum.Much appreciatedThe Roebuck family

Angela Cross: Michael and his team looked after my dad Tommy I cannot praise them enough they were all kind considerate empathetic and professional to the last. We went to see dad at their funeral home they had dressed him immaculately he looked so smart very much dad. Their funeral home is like no other I have seen and as soon as you walk through the doors there is a feeling of calm and peace. On the day of the funeral Michael and his team did us all proud might I add nothing was to much trouble and we were never made to feel that way. Thank you so much ❤️

Jennifer Litwinenko-Jones: I cannot praise this company enough! They were specifically requested by my mother in her will and I can really see why. Michael and his team were amazing from start to finish. They came without fuss, on a Saturday, all the way to Rochdale and along our tricky farm track to collect my mother. They provided us with a stress free, caring and easy service, guiding us through what needed to be done and at a very reasonable price. They accommodated everything for us and gave us lots of advice and recommendations, which took the worry out of the situation. They were professional throughout and gave my mother a lovely send off that I know she would be proud and happy with.Thank you again all!

Hayley Jackson: Please don’t believe the poor reviews they were all put on by sad people that joined a hate campaign group. For any one looking for a funeral director to look after your loved ones please go and see Mick’s funeral care home. I’ve been round this beautiful building and it’s not 5* it’s 100*. Spot less and clean and every one treated with dignity and care. But let me give you some advise. If Mick advices you not to see your loved one then take his advice. I saw my Nan in her coffin I did her hair and make up and she just looked asleep. When my mum died unfortunately my dad used a different company. I so wish they had advices me not to see my mum. Every one decomposes differently. My mum looked horrendous and I have an awful last memory of her. I collapsed when I saw her. So please, if any funeral director is reading this review please advise your customers not to see their loved ones if they are not looking good. I managed to do my mums hair but it was bloody hard work. You will never find a better funeral director than the Foggs

Chez Daley: Took great care of my dad in 2016 I know he will have enjoyed his mars bars. Took great care of father-in-law in 2017 and yesterday he received mother-in-law. Thank you x

mandi doyle: I cannot recommend Michael Foggs enough. From start to finish they were amazing. Kelly and Michael could not do enough to make my mums funeral perfect for our family. Nothing was too much trouble even when we asked for a web link on the morning of the funeral. Lisa Livesey the celebrant was amazing and both when she came to visit and on the day of the funeral. Highly highly recommend! From the Doyle Family.
Samuel Matthews: Best funeral director in sheffield me and my family have used (foggs) for years they do the best they can to not only take care off the loved ones past but they hold great customer service skills and take extreme care for the deceased. Also very supportive through out the whole process 🙌.I thank micheal & his wife for every death witch they have supported me and my family through 5 stars from me highly recommended.
Michael Mcanespie: To the vermin what pull this top man down do us all a favour go play on m1
Caitlin Hawkes: ‼️‼️‼️‼️ Been over 2 weeks since the funeral and not got the ashes back, the person who organised the funeral told us that they are holding the ashes until the funeral has been paid off in full!! Disgraceful! ‼️‼️‼️‼️ Shocking! No compassion what so ever. Wouldn’t tell me any information about my dad when I phoned up to confirm the date and time. They wouldn’t let his own kids have any say which is wrong!! At the funeral I saw them laughing when they were carrying my dads coffin. Me and my sister went to put a rose on top of his coffin and he told us to wait until we was leaving. I just feel like they can only be bothered with the big spenders. My dad didn’t get the send off he deserved and I think that it’s down to these funeral directors, stay clear.
Karen Roebuck: A big Thankyou to Michael Fogg and his team. Yet again he delivered a highly professional and respectful service for our mum.Much appreciatedThe Roebuck family
Brett Clayton: Best funeral director around
Alan King: Micheal did a double funeral for my mum and dad , I cannot thank him enough it was beautiful nothing was to much trouble so knowledgeable, helpfull and just absolute quality.I would recommend hm to anyone he made what was a traumatic time so much easierHe's a credit to his profesion
Ian Senior: I would like to praise Michael for a professional arrangement for my wife's funeral as well as his staff,as I was in cloud cuckoo land after the death of my wife and didn't have a clue what to do,he guided me through all of it and he was very reasonable with his price, I would recommend him to anyone.Thank you Michael ,IAN.
Jon Freer: Dear Mister Fogg..Thank you so much for door you opened for me,Always indebted
CVW Shrewsbury NJ Stokes: Transparent, open and honest
cholesterol Squires: The best team did an amazing job you are all very special people thankyou
Alyssia Massey: I wish I could give no stars, this man is horrible, he lies and takes advantage of those most vulnerable. My biggest regret is using this funeral director, and it is something I'll always live with. Please do not use him.
Jennifer Litwinenko-Jones: I cannot praise this company enough! They were specifically requested by my mother in her will and I can really see why. Maisie: I had Michael to do both my mum and dad's cremation, I found him very respectful, kind and compassionate, he couldn't have been any kinder. I would not hesitate to use Michael again or recommend his company. Michael never hassles you for payment either, he is aware of how things work regarding the will and sorting out of finances, even though I told him I would pay him straight away he insisted he was happy to wait until the solicitor sorted stuff out.
Amy Lister: Michael fogg and team cared for my nan in 2016 from start to finish very professional went to see my nan very well presented can't thank you all enough
Hazel Barber: Thank you to you all you made my husband's send off calm respectfull and I was so happy with all you did and did and the help gave me

Jane Norburn: I cannot Thank Fiona and the team for the most beautiful, dignified, send off for my lovely Dad on Monday (05/08/19).... We have traditionally used Woods/Heaths for our family send-offs for over a century.... And this beautiful goodbye was no exception. Seamless and comforting. Ken, our celebrant was amazing. Fiona understood my Dad when she asked Ken to speak for my family. Love and hugs abounded. I have absolutely no hesitation in reassuring anybody who has to say goodbye to a loved one to visit these wonderful people and discuss individual requests. Nothing is too much trouble. And there are constant phone calls and checks to make sure every detail is as we requested. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ All the way. Jane Miller-Norburn.

Sarah: Warn against using this company - they booked the vicar and the chapel for different days, and worst of all buried the deceased in the wrong clothes. We specifically talked about burial in a plain shroud as is traditional, and instead they buried her in the clothes she died in. Offered no apologies when caught out, terrible.

Cheryl Balch: The staff at C Pritchard handled my mum's funeral with the greatest respect and professionalism. I felt fully supported throughout the whole process.
Paul Whitaker: It's a difficult time for anyone ,the loss of a loved one , my Dad passed away recently (April 2021),and it's a tough time to start arranging funerals. In 2018 my mum passed away and we went ahead with arrangements at, C Pritchards &sons of Swallownest not a process I have ever been involved with.We were overwhelmed with how, caring and professional the entire team was, then , so they were our natural choice for Dad. Right from the first chat with Wendy the FA, through to the FD John and his crew of bearers, we knew everything was going to be OK, no need to worry. They all were very supportive, no pressure to make speedy decisions. So respectful , to us and more importantly towards my Dad.The whole process was heartwarming and I thankyou everyone at Pritchards for that ,from me and on behalf of my family . Leaving reviews isn't something I normally do, but an experience as loving as this, in such a challenging time, deserves recognition.Thankyou All At C Pritchards &Sons for everything!.P Whitaker & Family.

I Did It My Way Funerals: what do users think?
Stephen Robinson: My lovely mum passed away recently and Trevor and his team did a magnificent job of handling all aspects of her funeral. From my first conversation with Trevor, their care, compassion and professionalism was beyond doubt and I knew I was in safe hands. Nothing was too much trouble. On the day of mum’s funeral, Sheffield was brought to a standstill by heavy snow and it was touch and go as to whether her funeral could go ahead. Trevor and his team pulled out all the stops to make sure it did and it went like clockwork and was truly beautifully done. My family and I are immensely grateful for everything they did for us.
Lyndsey Smith: Trevor was highly efficient, empathetic and informative. He ensured dad's funeral ran smoothly. I would highly recommend I did It my way to anyone.
Claire Hardy: I did it my way totally took what was a heartbreaking time for us all and made it bearable. The loss of my dad, (Baz) hit us all hard but the team at I DID IT MY WAY did a beautiful job from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. From home visit to personal touches especially for my dad. I would highly recommend to all. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tracy Kirkham: I found I did it my way by word of mouth what can I say Trevor and his team was fantastic from start to finish the care they showed for my mum was brilliant Trevor even took care of the flowers we had hiccups with the day before Mums funeral nothing was too much trouble would definitely 100% recommend this company to take care of your loved ones also a. Big thank you to Kate for the amazing service
Norman Crapper: I would like to thank Trevor & his team for giving my mum a great send off. He was so helpful and respectful. The whole day went like clockwork. I would also like to publicly thank Kate for a great service. Everyone attending said how wonderful the Eulogy was & how it was delivered. This is the first time I had to organise a funeral & Trevor helped me out all the way. Many thanks!
Tim Lockwood: Excellent service, couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you. Highly recommended.
Catherine Marshall: Beautiful service for our brother, thankyou so much to Trevor, nothing was too much trouble we could contact him out of hours if need be about anything we was unsure of, everything ran smoothly & professionally. We would also like to thank Kate too for the beautiful readings.A lovley caring funeral directors.Thankyou so much.
Louise Starbrook: Wow, what can I say ? Trevor was the ultimate professional from start to finish, from organising a candlelight vigil for our friend as so many wanted to pay their respects , to ensuring the day ran like clockwork despite the hundreds of mourners . Our family have used I did it my way several times over the years and Trevor is the most approachable , kind , empathetic, nothing too much trouble kind of guy you want to talk to on your darkest days. I have nothing but praise for him,With regards to the negative feedback from a previous client, I don’t believe this is a true reflection . In fact I feel that strongly and bemused about it that I believe it’s fake profile written by a competitor. I did it my way has really stepped up their game in the last year with the services they offer and the professionalism that every step is dealt with. They were good before but now they are outstanding. So don’t let that one person deter you , look at all the positive feedback, you won’t be disappointed.
mick Frith: I Did it my way did a beautiful service for my beloved wife would recommend 100% so helpful from the start thank you xx
Jane Newsome: I did it my way. Well what an amazing service you did for my sister in law. Would recommend you to everyone. Outstanding

He was kind, empathetic and helpful throughout the whole experience and to Kate for the lovely service. This is the second time we have used I Did It My Way and couldn’t fault them at all. Thanks again for making a difficult time that bit easier. On behalf of Paul Ford & Carole Cole
Jamie Lee: Excellent service.I did it my way recently arranged my mothers funeral and did an excellent job. I found the service throughout pitched at the right level, caring and sympathetic. The actual service ran very smoothly and the service provided was discrete and appropriate. Thanks from all at the Lee family.
Davey S: After loosing our dad which was traumatic enough, we needed to get the affairs in order...My sister visited to inquire about a cremation and was met by a cold, callous and out right rude man!She continued to ask for information and he didn't stop looking at his phone, answering calls mid conversation and hardly made any eye contact. He was constantly interrupting with things such as "EXTRA £300" And "NOPE DONT DO THAT!" and so on..Basically she told me it was more like an interragtion or business deal rather than the caring and empathetic ear someone needs after loosing a loved one.In the end she just walked out.I'm heart broken for my sister as she has gone through so much.
Michelle West: Steve, Linda and team did a fantastic job looking after my mum and gave her a wonderful send off
Tracey Elliott: Excellent service from start to finish for our dads funeral, thankyou so much steve and team .
Dean Lamb: Steve and team did a fantastic job for my Mums funeral. They were professional, understanding and caring throughout and guided and advised us all the way from the first phone call. Any questions we had were promptly answered. It's not been easy with the social distancing rules but they did the best job possible. My family are very grateful and would definitely recommend to others.
Kathryn Fawcett: A huge thank you to Linda, Steve and the team for their professional, caring funeral services for our mum on 27 March 2020. Nothing was too much trouble, even in these difficult times and we are very grateful to you all. We highly recommend the 5 star service we received. Once again thank you to you all .

W. J. HOYLAND & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS: what do users think?
Jenny Houghton: Rebecca and Warwick…and all the team,Did my mum the ultimate honour in looking after her in her time of need.Knowing..what I know now..I am glad she chose them..I would not of chosen anybody else..they looked after her like I would of done myself…for which I always be grateful for.On the day..they went beyond and above. Before the day..they guided me.answered all my questions and put my mind at rest.Warwick..on the day was outstanding in difficult circumstances..but dealt with it all brilliantlyI doubt I would of found a more compassionnate and caring team to look after my treasured mumThank you.Jen x
Millie Leary: I can’t recommend this company enough to anyone. Absolute true angels.Me, my sister and brothers lost our mum recently, not knowing where to begin. We decided to use W.J. Hoyland & Co as a recommendation from my close friend - and it was the best decision we made. They helped us with everything! Couldn’t have done enough for us. We dealt with Rebecca and Warrick all the way through, nothing was too much trouble. Such lovely people.Thank you so so much for taking such amazing care of my mum, and thank you for being wonderful.-x-
David Henry: Thank you for looking after my son from start to his final journey Rebecca who came to see us about his funeral details was very professional and understanding and went the extra mile for me and family on the day of my sons funeral Warwick just carried on the excellent service and I would recommend if you your loved ones to be looked after in a special way use wj hoyland and once again thank youxxx ❤️❤️
John Marsden: I recently lost my partner of 18 years. I initially spoke to Rebecca only a couple of days after of my partner's passing. Rebecca was wonderful and very helpful. I was unaware of the process that occurs prior to a funeral. This initially involved dealing with the hospital to providing me with advice on attending the registry office and what was required. Rebecca and Warrick provided guidance and support throughout every stage of preparation and everything was done wonderfully. The service I received from Rebecca and Warrick was very personal and I was also given a lot of support too. Nothing was too much trouble. The funeral service to celebrate my partner's life was lovely and very fitting, thanks to Rebecca and Warrick. Thank you so much for all your help and support. You made the worst time of my life, much more bearable.
Heidi Stewart: Having spoken to several local funeral directors, I chose to use W.J. Hoyland & Co because they really went the extra mile in helping me. Rebecca was warm and friendly and made the whole process stress free. On the day, Warwick was amazing, he was so supportive and professional making sure everything went smoothly. I cannot recommend W.J. Hoyland & Co enough, I am so glad that I chose this family-run business. Thank you Rebecca and Warwick!
Michael Winter: Glad we chose W J Hoyland. They were extremely professional and respectful throughout.
Gillian Monaghan: Couldn't have chosen better treat with respect and care throughout thank you for caring for my dad
Elaine Chatterley: I can't recommend Hoyland's highly enough. They took care of the funerals of my Dad and Brother 18 years ago and due to that service I didn't hesitate to use them again for my late Mum's funeral. The service they provide is both professional and compassionate. It doesn't feel like you are dealing with a company. They go out of their way to help you and with such care and tact. Rebecca and Warrick should be extremely proud of how they are maintaining the original values and standards so highly while delivering it all with such a human touch. I can't thank them enough for making such a difficult time so much easier.
Steph Kinsella: I just wanted to write a review as I have been blown away by the thoughtful and caring service we received by WJ Hoyland and Co Funeral Directors following the traumatic and unexpected death of my mother. Both Rebecca and Warrick were outstanding in every way. I have never been in the unfortunate position of arranging a funeral before and their caring and professional manner was just perfect. The experience and the service we received from start to finish was exceptional. We went from complete strangers to friends it felt like. I live in Devon, however if I could use them for every funeral of a loved one I most certainly would, without any hesitation! I highly recommend... My heartfelt thanks to Rebecca, Warrick and team xxx
Peggy Murton: Can’t explain how helpful and compassionate this family firm are they are still looking after me 19 months after we lost my husband I feel like they will always be a part of our family. I felt the need to make sure that my children don’t have the heartache of dealing with my funeral so I have sorted this out myself with the help from Rebecca at W.J.Hoylands big thank you Rebecca for your support x

Peace Funerals: what do users think?
andrew kulman: We have used Peace Funeral Service on three occasions, it is such an excellent company and we would recommend them strongly. Particular thanks on this occasion goes to Gavin, who dealt with everything in a calm, assured and kind manner, every consideration taken into account.Thank you 🙏 🙏
Joan Fields: The service we received was absolutely first class from start to finish. James, our funeral director, could not have been more kind. He was courteous, respectful and helpful in all his dealings with the family and went over and above. A first class, professional service in every way. Heartfelt thanks from all the family.
Anna Megson: If I could give minus stars I would. Despicable attitudes from multiple members of staff. Extraordinarily inconsiderate towards children's deaths. Casual gaslighting. Genuine disbelief considering other reviews, grotesque. Have an awful Christmas Jenny.
Jean Simmonite: We would like to say a huge thank you to you all for the way you looked after us during our recent sad loss. We had a prepaid funeral and everything was carried out with perfection, you made everything as easy as it can be at times like this. The funeral was conducted with perfection, always in contact with us about everything. We were introduced to Dyanne Fisher Civil Celebrant, who carried out the service for us, Dyanne was wonderful and did a perfect presentation, it was as though she actually knew Loraine and fault part of the family, so a special thank you Dyanne. We highly recommend this company in all aspects of their services.
Chris Greenwood: Liz and the team were amazing, this is the second time we have used Peace Funerals and both times we have been delighted with the service and support.
Joan Hodson: Liz was a treasure, steered is through a very difficult time and Carl Taylor was magic just the right amount of pathos and humour for a loving family. We thank all concerned.
samantha langley: Highly recomend any person dealing with the loss ov a loved 1 to let peace do there funeral they help supportedme and made thungs so easy after i losted my dad and there prices are realy good would advice any1 to go to peace
Michelle Milnes: Wonderfully caring and compassionate company
Natalie Lomas: I would like to thank James and all the team for taking great care of our dearly beloved dad Terry Lomas you went above and beyond and give me and my family much comfort ❤
Rachel Marsden: Lovely family run funeral directors. They were professional and we, we're treated with dignity and respect from the first phone call all the, way through the process of organising a lock down funeral and all the challenges it brings. The celebrant got in touch with several members of the family for memories of dad to put in his celebration of dad's life speech which was detailed and amusing in parts. We chose the green cremation option for dad with ashes interred in the South Yorkshire woodland burial ground.Dad's wicker basket coffin was lovely and just what he would have wanted. I went to the chapel of rest to say goodbye before the funeral and was pleased with the way they had dressed him with great attention to detail. The chapel of rest was very intimate. When we interred dad's ashes we were given choices about how much involvement we wanted in the actual burying of the ashes. My brother and I chose to do it between us which was a lovely experience.Thank you peace funerals for everything.
Stephen staton: What can i say about this place other than absolutely brilliant 🙏🏻. The care and being there for you from start to finish was second to none. Thank you for caring for my dad and making this very difficult time so much easier , Thanks James for your love and support 🙏🏻
Lynne Davis: Peace funerals couldn't have done anything more to help us through this difficult period. I can't praise them enough, particularly Clare who held our hand throughout.
Alison Harrop: Peace Funerals were so helpful, kind, respectful and considerate, they made the whole experience of organising my Mum’s funeral very simple and easeful. I felt completely in charge of the whole process and was never pressured into paying for something I didn’t want. I had the standard [included ] coffin and it looked lovely, as did the flowers. They found the exact recordings of the music I wanted { I was very specific] and nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond to help me and I highly recommend them. Many thanks to Stephen and everyone at Peace Funerals.
jojo neal: Have had to use this service twice now, once for my mother in law and one for my own mum, even though the services were years apart I got the same funeral director which put me at ease in such a difficult time. We could not be happier about the service. My mum got what she wanted. Peace Funerals did her proud. Unfortunately I will have to use a service like this again and I will go to Peace Funerals
Kimberley Swann: Highly highly recommend peace. They took care of my dads funeral perfectly, they took all the stress away so we could grieve. All the staff we met were all genuinely warm hearted, kind, understanding but also down to earth and professional, but a massive thanks goes to Gavin for everything he did for my mum and us he was amazing. The end result was my dad was given an amazing and beautiful send off one I know he would have been proud of and one that wasn't expensive at all. Thank you
Hazel Worrall-Jones: The people at Peace have helped me so much through a difficult time. They simply lifted all the worry off my shoulders and did everything exactly the way I wanted it for my dear Dad. He had an amazing Railway funeral and the help from Peace extended way beyond that day and I thank them so much. Wonderful staff, I cannot praise all of them enough and a special thanks to Stephen Parkin.
Anne Oliver: My Mum had lived with us for 2 years and was too ill for me to leave her to go camping with my husband and son. Sadly she passed away as they were on their way home on 3rd June 2017. Gavin at Peace Funerals was wonderful-he knew that it would be a shock to them if they walked in to find Mum 'gone' and made certain that everything was dealt with to protect them and also totally understood that I couldn't bear to watch her being taken away from me. Everything was dealt with so kindly and with compassion. Claire handled the service beautifully and Carl Taylor celebrated Mum's life with exactly the right amount of humour and thoughtfulness.Nothing was too much trouble, from me changing the orders of service to dealing with any niggles regarding problems which could arise. Expert, caring advice from a wonderful group of people, who I cannot thank enough. Both my Dad and Mum are together at the beautiful woodland site at Ulley, and I have the plot next to them earmarked for me and mine.
Hannah Miley: All the family are so happy with the way the grounds are kept. Although it's extremely still upsetting the surroundings make it calmer and it definitely has a different feeling to a church yard, it's much more natural and personal through all the choices given. I really like that everyone isn't in rows and you have the freedom to plant seeds. The children in the family don't find it scary and they give presents such as stones and leaves or whatever they find and watch how much the oak tree is growing. The other people I've met there seem happier and are complimentary on where they've chosen, I don't believe it would have the same atmosphere in a church yard setting. It was definitely the right choice and we are very grateful. Thank you.
Jess Hadfield: Cannot recommend enough. Very professional and far more affordable than other places we looked at.
Elizabeth Hughes-Docherty: My husband died at the end of August and although he'd made a lot of decisions about his funeral he hadn't actually decided or chosen a particular funeral director.Having been let down by the first funeral directors I contacted on that Saturday morning- he died on the bank holiday- the promised phone call never materialised, I was delighted by the caring yet professional manner which Liz, Stephen and his team handled everything. Nothing was too much, at their suggestion they even provided an excellent Bose sound system for the music my husband had chosen.Having cared for my husband through his all his cancer journey I wanted to do one last thing for him and that was to wash and dress him after his body had made it from St Luke's to the funeral home. With Julie my very good friend and Stephen we made what may have been a traumatic and emotional time into a very positive memory and I was able to get him looking just right in the eco and beautiful white wool coffin. The funeral and day itself were as perfect as could have been, in the circumstances and again were very caringly and well managed: exactly how both my husband and I had planned.I have nothing but praise and admiration for all at Peace Funerals. Thank you
Julie Ward: Ron Ward lived for six years with bowel cancer - a vile disease which he lived a good life with, right up to the three weeks immediately before his death on April 21st of this year. As a buddhist, he had little time for thinking about what would become of him afterwards but, luckily for my daughter Becky and I, our dearest friends, Liz and Pete, found Peace Funerals in an online search and set things in motion for us.We were so lucky to find Peace as not one part of the experience was made difficult or distressing - we ended up with a celebration of my husband's life that put into perspective all that had led up to it. In short, it was wonderful and uplifting..Stephen was our contact, and we were so lucky to get him! He treated both Becky and I with sensitivity and care; he listened to us and offered ideas which resulted in the perfect day. Who wouldhave thought that those words would be used to describe a funeral? They are absolutely apt, however - the venue for our service (Whiston Manorial Barn) was beautiful; the Burial Site was lovely in the Spring sunshine, with its Buddhist ceremony and then we all came back to the Barn to share our memories of Ron and have some food together.Clare was our celebrant and we knew from the moment we met her that not only would she 'orchestrate' events at the Barn and Burial Site with great professionalism but that she would synthesise what we had told her about Ron into a clear and coherent narrative. She has a tremendous gift there - we are so grateful to her.Becky and I truly believe that Peace could not improve any aspect of the service they offer: whoever came up with the name, got it exactly right. We all came away with such a sense of well-being and contentment. Ron was at peace and so were we. We cannot thank them enough. Perfect!

Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium: what do users think?
Rodger Price: Ground staff don't care throw your flowers on the walk way when cutting grass etc and do. Not put back which die due to no water also do not grit the paths when ice. Or snowThe flag stones are very slippery when wetFirst photo of flowers I left for my wife. Other photos when I returned flowers thrown on walk way butterfly light brokenI had 50 great years married ground staff show no respect or careThe paths are littered with dead flowersWished I had never used this place
Gillian Gardner: Difficult to find. At first got directions from family member but was ok
Dino Paggiossi: Friendly staff good parking just looks a bit dated
Gill Podoski: Sound system is terrible couldn't understand a word of the service
Tracey Machen: I think my uncle is buried or cremated there
Christopher Brown: Nice crematorium set in lovely grounds. Very quiet despite it being in a large city. Plenty of parking. Went for the funeral of a good friend who died unexpectedly.
Michelle: Poor signage and no gritting or clearing done of steep snow and ice covered driveway and paths, really dangerous and added extra stress to what was an already difficult day. This is Yorkshire, on a hill, in winter, on the third day of snow. Surely there are plans in place for allowing people to safely access the building? Apparently there is a top entrance which was slightly better but no idea of how to get round to it and no signs to help.
Phil Rodgers: Wonderful gardens of remembrance. Very well kept. I go there often and it always looks well looked after. Plenty of choice for remembering loved ones like: Benches, wall niches, kerb plaques, under trees, mushroom gardens, etc. There is a book of remembrance, and at xmas you can hang a card on a tree.Good parking and toilet facilities as well.
Lucy: Very respectful and professional during my mother in law's cremation.
Craig Cooper: I just want to say well done to the people involved @ Mrs Sylvia Cooper’s funeral. The chap(sorry I can’t remember names) did a fantastic eulogy, and you are all a credit to your profession.
Mike Naylor: Very respectful staff.A great place to remember our loved ones.
julie gillatt: Having had a cremation at hutcliffe Wood everything was done with the upmost respect and the Chapel was perfect, the staff do an excellent job and deserve recognition for the part they play thank you its very much appreciated.
David Kemp: This is a modernist building in a beautifully managed landscape, perfect for a peaceful walk or for teaching the kids to ride bikes.
Leesa Wright: Nice peaceful location staff all very respectful.
Luke Mettam: Nice place to walk and remember loved ones.
