Cupola Gallery (Cupola Contemporary Art): what do users think?

Diana Terry: Excellent gallery showing first class contemporary work from artists. It’s an engaging and lively place with exciting exhibitions

Viv Owen: Fantastic gallery with art to suit all budgets. Showing over 300 artists. Original paintings, prints, ceramics, sculptures, jewellery and cards. Member of the Own Art scheme. A local institution established over 30 years

Scott Owens: Thoroughly enjoyed looking around the annual Under the Bed sale - some fantastic finds! Staff/owners were also incredibly knowledgeable about the art and eager to chat. Look forward to returning soon.

Samantha Samantha: Beautiful hand made jewellery, vases, ornaments, wall hangings, paintings... Great framing service who really go out of their way to help you find the right thing. He even advised me which frame sizes I would be better off buying ready made elsewhere. Limited on street parking.

Dan Sumption: A lovely little (actually, surprisingly big) gallery selling fine arts and crafts including jewellery, ceramics, books and more. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and will always offer you tea or coffee (and sometimes cake!) while you look around. There is always a wide range of work from a variety of artists: local, national and international.

R C: Staff are friendly and the range of art is exceptional. The jewellery is priced accessibly as is a fair amount of the work on display, (think kids pocket money and a savings club). The OwnArt Fund is also an option. The outside garden space is really lovely, a hidden gem in the city. Thank you for Hillsfest and thus bringing Tramlines 2018 to Hillsborough Park.

Nick Underwood Thompson: Wonderful mix of creative works at a great range of affordable prices. The welcome could not have been more effusive without being in anyway a barrier or distraction. A really brilliant place to discover.

Lin Cheung: Fantastic friendly gallery with a really interesting collection of art, ceramics and jewellery. Definitely worth a visit.
Judy Kilner: Excellent quality exhibits. Opportunity to buy. Friendly. Easy access via the tram.
Paula Thomas: It's a really super gallery. Staff very friendly. Went with my art group. They knew we were coming and were happy to make coffee for us. The "back yard" is a lovely space as well - plants plus all manner of outdoor art objects. The main exhibition was fascinating.
Ken Mullen: Amazing gallery. Thousands of paintings for sale in the Under the Bed sale.
myfanwy williams: A wonderful gallery!
Anthony Bennett: Just top 👌
Christine Harrison: Always something exciting to see. A warm welcome from Karen. A true gallery experience.

Graves Gallery: what do users think?
Purp P: Great little place. Interesting exhibitions. Shame the council is letting such a beautiful building rot though
Mohamed Ahmed: Visiting over a weekend, I was disappointed to see limited opening hours at Sheffield Museums. Not opening at all on a Sunday is an example of a disinterest in public service. The efficiency of closing at 4pm instead of 5pm, as would be expected, saves pennies but no doubt catches people like myself out. Being closed entirely on Sundays only adds insult to injury.
Mark Richards: The Graves Art Gallery is a wonderful arts space in the heart of Sheffield, close to the Crucible and Lyceum theatres, and the Winter Garden. It's on the 3rd floor of the library building. There's an impressive arts collection, with changing exhibitions on a variety of topics. It's well worth a visit.
John Tait: Lacking in exhibited artworks and investment.
Thomas Müthing (theviolinproject.de): Graves Gallery is the smallish municipal art museum in Sheffield, housed on the 3rd floor of the imposing building that is the city's Central Library. About 5 minutes from Sheffield Station. Entry is free, and photography is allowed. Unfortunately, some of the galleries are closed at the moment for refurbishing, so we're temporarily left with some contemporary art (permanent) and an interesting temporary exhibit on the works of Sheffield sculptor George Fullard. His works and the fact that the nearby Millennium Gallery is also an interesting art venue make Graves Gallery worth a visit despite the momentary limitations.
countzorg: A really beautiful building and gallery.I come here every visit to Sheffield. The building alone is a work of art.
Marcin Ostrowski: A place can be interesting and boring at the same time
Polly Thomas: Great gallery, relaxed and plenty of artwork to see. A Grayson Perry tapestry, a Damien Hurst and even a Lowry.
Ruurd Edens: nice, small collection
Martin Barrott: The library is okay and you can borrow books and use the computer's plus you can visit the art gallery when they are open
Divyen Shah: It's located on 3rd floor of Central Library at City centre
Judith Haslam: It's a quiet contemplative gallery wirh a good collection of Modern Art and Contemporary exhibitions.
Ani: Plenty of interesting art to get up close to, in a lovely setting. And you need only to give a donation to go round. Nice little gift shop. Friendly staff.
G C: Fantastic free gallery with a big variety of art and exhibitions. Well worth a visit when you're in Sheffield.
Christopher Freeman: Beautifully presented little art gallery on the edge of the city centre. Friendly and knowledgable staff and comfortable surroundings make this place a welcome oasis - as others have said - in a sometimes bleak and modern landscape.
L Cc: Out of all the free museums in the city centre this one located on the top floor of the library is definitely the most interesting
Esme James: So glad to be able to visit again - a lovely place for quiet contemplation!
Rik McRik: Always make sure I stop by to see the gallery. Beautiful building too.
David Dodd: Lovely place to visit
melanie bryan: Not bad
Richard Hill: Love this place, everyone should visit, donate and buy from the shop for the upkeep of this lovely building it's library and art collection.

Richard Dering: Very interesting, I enjoyed looking around.
Matty James: Great space, lots to see
Hillary Guzik-Jung: Only a couple of small galleries open but worth it for the donation only price. They were interesting. The garden was small but cute.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
Angela Blanchard: Lovely friendly café and always intriguing exhibitions. I've visited the display of Sheffield's stainless steel heritage several times now and always find something new to marvel at!
Madeleine Pearce: The Ruskin collection is only a fraction of what should be displayed. Very little of interest or towards his original mission. A terrible shame. The cutlery bit of the museum is stunning, extremely interactive, and has an excellent historiography. The gift shop is a treasure trove if you want to support the museums and find unique gifts. The whole place is very disabled accessible, had little trouble with my wheels or knocking into things.
Jean-Luc Mallet: Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended YesMore
Eddefe Jose Dalisay: It's good to look around.
David Rippon: Always something new to see.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
John Belton: Good and interesting.
Kamla Piano: Every few years I go here to see my favourites and new exhibits. You can see from my photos that I love the enormous Scissors and the Turtle Tureen. All in pristine glass cases with a detailed history of each piece. There's a gift shop outside for all things Sheffield including all the Hendersons Relishes - all the same product with different labels - Original orange, Blue & White stripes for The Owls and Red & White stripes for The Blades. There's also the coffee shop downstairs with escalator access and a view of Arundal Gate. Keep your eyes peeled walking around for locally made thought provoking exhibits.
Frank Aslin: Excellent gallery, particularly liked the work of one of your local artists, he has a painting in the Walker gallery, Liverpool..
Steven Feeney: Not a lot to see to be honest very small
Ylly ato: Розкішне поєднання ботанічного саду і творів мистецтва, картин. Експозиція змінна, картини вражаючи велетенських розмірів, поряд кафе з смачною випічкою та кавою
Andrew Webb: Excellent gallery, often visit when in Sheffield.
Nike Ei. Imggrphy: Absolute spit for everyone to visit
ian beange: Only passed through but looks worth a visit when there's time.
Anthony Newall: Always interesting exhibitions. Shop great for gifts, lovely cafe and more choice and a nice place to sit in the Winter Gardens.
Lara-Michelle Short: Love it
Fahd Alshemasli: I visited the Stories from the Pandemic exhibition at the Millennium Galley today. I really enjoyed the exhibition about Covid especially as I was in the exhibition - my photograph was there! I enjoyed learning about other people's experiences of the pandemic and also enjoyed writing poetry in the workshop. I also liked the other exhibitions particularly the fossil collection.
Karim Hassan: I visited the Millennium Gallery to see ' Stories from the Pandemic' - I enjoyed it. We went to a workshop where we wrote poetry and had fun. I also visited the other exhibitions where I was amazed by everything particularly the geology section where I saw rocks including obsidian, crystals and gems . Obsidian is a really hard volcanic rock.I was pleased by all the exhibitions. It was a great experience , having a tour of everything.

Alcyone Dreams Spiritual Artwork by Tracy (#AlcyoneDreamsArt): Fab. Love it. Parking can be a ballache, but we saw the Daily Sketch gallery, which was great. Brilliant brightly coloured observational Yorkshire art.
Ann Gleadhill: Fabulous
Richard Beech: Called for 2 more prints after looking online . Good selection for anyone loving Sheffield or northern culture
william riley: Bought two prints. Seems like a nice area. Also online.
Robin Davidson: Love this shop, the staff are really friendly and informative. It's goes without saying the artwork is amazing. Such a reasonable price too. If you have something print you have to wait about 20 minutes but the shops nearby are so great you should definitely have a look round while you wait. Parking isn't easy but it's close to the city, parking is never easy close to the city.
Robert Tingle: Amazing service. Purchased a framed print 5 years ago. Managed to badly hang it in a new room. It came off (my fault) the wall and smashed the glass, damaged the frame and slightly marked the print. They replaced the print, new mount, frame glazed AND print. All fine for a seriously nominal amount. They really went above and beyond.
Mark Hopewell: Picked a couple of football t-shirt up
Scott Reynolds: Absolutely love his material, so many memories in his art work.

Fred Aldous: what do users think?
Dimasha Fernando: Loads of art and craft supplies. The store itself is designed nicely as well which is nice
Nick Ward: I could browse for hours in here. Loads of ideas for creative folk and the staff are knowledgeable and very friendly!
Anna Annushka: Love this place !
Phoenix Foster: This shop is amazing & has a nice variety of arts and crafts supplies with very reasonable prices. This is my go to shop for my cross stitch supplies & my mums' crafting clay. From a neurodivergent perspective; It is quite as there is no music playing and the wooden floors means you can hear people's footsteps and noise can echo a little. The lighting is quite warm, and is far less harsh than standard shops. The smell is of wood and paper.Best experienced during the quiter periods as the shelving height (1/2 size) can make the space seem more populated than it is.
Godfrey Payne: First experience was a good one. Comprehensive selection of art and craft items.
Clint Edwards: There all friendly helpful kind people there can sort bulk order out and so kind on my work as im getting into mural graffiti art
Carol Horsfield: A very good range of craft products especially the paint range, but some items were a little expensive for me
Jacob Palmer: Lovely and "cosy" shop. Wide range of products from oil, acrylic and watercolor paints, sculpting, miniature painting, drawing and others
Ben Willis: There's a large range of crafting materials for all sorts of Hobby's from pottering to model making which makes it useful being in the city center. However, it can be quite costly for materials and tools even with if you have a student card discount. The staff are great and really helpful!
Andrew Robinson: So glad this came to Sheffield, great selection of materials 🙌
Tom H: Decent place to go, especially if you like doing art
Tinsley Prototype 97001: First of to start with an excellent bunch of staff who went of of there way to help my grandma when she had a fall in the store and looked after her till the ambulance came thanks Ben gino and Oscar for all the help
Shane Cutts: I would like to thank the staff for the prompt action and care they showed to my mum who fell upstairs, you even went to ponds forge to get a wheelchair, you have gone above and beyond in my mind, Mum has broken her hip and is comfortable in hospital as I write this..
Lewis Pontremoli: A wonderful selection of all the arts and crafts products you could ever need. Many of the boxes/packaging of the items I wanted to buy was dirty/broken though, so was unable to purchase certain bits I needed as a gift.
Lynda Whiteley: I found everything I needed here, a great variety of items for lots of crafts.
Lydia A: Good but not many standard craft items. Couldn't find a pack of 30/50 blank cards with envelopes to make my own cards. Hobbycraft beats it by far. Couldn't also find Popsicle sticks, or festive crafts like card toppers etc.
Alice Gale: Nice shop, has every kind of paint, craft materials, tools etc that you could ever need.
B: Wow!! What a place. I wish there was a shop like this in my hometown. It's so well stocked and just extremely cool. Brilliant.
David Pilko: Brilliant nice pub
Ian Parkes (Top cat): Loads of stock helpful staff
yavuz ayas: Resimle ilgilenenler için iyi bir mağaza
