Amy Jolliffe: Went today to see the selection and I was really impressed. I bought two different patterns (a blue floral and a pink floral) to make some wrap skirts and the woman on the stall was really helpful and friendly. One of the fabrics I recently got a top in the same pattern from New Look so they are very up to date with current trends, and also at a great price. I'll be back!

Samantha Walker: By far the best fabric shop around. They have a wide range of fabric and sewing accessories at great prices. The staff are always helpful and very friendly. Always guaranteed a good bargain.
Gulshan Yaqub: My mum used to go to this shop for years. Only reason I go the owner Richard was a lovely man, think he’s retired. The women who normally work here are lovely polite helpful. Went in earlier this week young man was rude awful attitude, the fat lady was shocking. I’m surprised they’re employed. Going to stick to John Lewis or the lovely ladies on Attercliffe Rd sewing shop.

Mharry Catterall: Love this shop! Loads of fabrics from liberty to kimberley kight, with a super range of blenders and plains. The team helped me select some fabric and quilting cottons. Highly recommend this outfit and will be going back for sure.

Bethany Wilshaw: I will not be returning to this place. I went in this morning feeling cheery only to be met with utter rudeness.I went in to enquire about a dress fix. Immediately the staff member had a face like thunder, before even looking at the dress she cut across me abruptly saying it wouldnt be done by Christmas. To which I replied it was fine, I didn't need it by then, it would be more of a new year thing. Instead of kindly explaining that she was super busy, she cut across me again saying "No, no, no. There's no way it would be ready by then." in a really rude tone.It was my first experience in the shop, and I certainly won't be returning. I get we all have bad days but there's no need to be so rude to someone who just came in with a question, zero demand or expectation. I don't get it. It's left me feeling upset.

C: Such a great fabric shop for dressmaking fabrics and an extensive range of haberdashery products in many colours. I was really impressed at their range of fabrics, colours and patterns suitable for making your own clothes and at reasonable prices. The staff were also very knowledgeable and helpful with advising what would work for different projects. I have been searching for somewhere to buy quality, fashionable dressmaking fabrics and will definitely be back for more!

Jodie Booth: Wow! Aladdin's cave cross with the Tardis with the best customer service. You can also buy exact amounts if many fabrics rather than buying by the half or full metre! The selection is immense and such a pleasant atmosphere. I spotted lots of sewing accessories and haberdashery too. What a wonderful independent retailer.

Adam Landshoft: This might be my new favourite fabric store - wide range of products at reasonable prices, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Came in to get materials to make a backpack. I've never made one before and wasn't sure what I would need, but Lindsey took the time to talk through my project with me, help me select fabrics and also gave me practical advice on how to make it. Cannot recommend this place enough, will definitely be back in future.

They also run sewing workshops if you're a beginner or if you just want to try and make something new. The only problem with this shop is you might end up spending a small fortune as you'll want to buy everything - the fabrics are just too dreamy 😍.
