Cottage Team: what do users think?
Nick Mangham
Nick Mangham: The Cottage Team have been managing my property for a few years now. Cannot fault them. Reviews from guests are great, they are always fast to respond and incredibly helpful. When the cottage does run into problems, they are always there to help make the it right. Couldn’t ask for more.
Charlotte Hobbs
Charlotte Hobbs: the most toxic work place imaginable disgusting management, toxic workplace and no sense of how to run a business. Not worth any amount of money to be put through what you are. Stay away!! So many people left during my employment because of how badly they were treated by the owners. small business that does not deserve to be up and running. Disrespectful owners with anger issues and no sense of empathy or emotion towards their workers.
Bryony Atkin
Bryony Atkin: Painfully unprofessional and toxic. Management bully their staff, speaking down to them constantly, showing no respect or care, they do not deserve their staff or customers. My list is endless for why you should avoid this business, if you can call it that. If I could give this 0 stars I would. There are companies out there who care about what they do, how it is done, and their employees, this is not one of those! Avoid this place at all costs.

Mary Wastie
Mary Wastie: My family of 6 stayed here the week of my wedding, it was beautifully decorated and very well furnished. Great view out the lounge window too. We comfortably lived here for the few days and even had my (low key!) hen party in the lounge. The only thing I would say is parking was on a fairly busy road and the staircase was very steep but this is Sheffield! We'd highly recommend a stay in Simon's cottage, you won't be disappointed.

Weavers Cottage Ltd: what do users think?
Jacquie Crosby
Jacquie Crosby: Weavers Cottage was a great place to get the family together for Christmas. It was spotlessly clean, very well furnished and equipped and had a beautiful, real Christmas tree. Lots of wonderful walks from the door, a good pub nearby, and a hot tub to enjoy on Boxing day!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
croweater87
croweater87: We stayed for two weeks and wish it didn't have to end. Absolutely beautiful cottage that's very well presented. Close to walking trails and a short drive into Penistone.Hopefully we'll get the opportunity to visit one of the other Cottages one day.A big thank you to the owners.
Chris Robinson
Chris Robinson: Weavers cottage is an amazing place to stay. We were a group of 20 staying here and at the adjacent Leapings cottage. The cottages have everything you could possible ask for and the location is awesome too with fabulous countryside right on the doorstep. Both cottages are also perfectly set up for dogs.Communications from the point of booking to departure were spot on and the owners were only too happy to provide necessary extras such as a high chair & travel cot for the youngest member of our group and crates for the dogs for quiet(er) night times. All of our group would jump at the chance to return.
Heather Blyth
Heather Blyth: What can i say , weavers cottage is amazing . Our holiday was perfect . Every need was catered for . The house is so beautiful and in amazing surroundings , we even had our own sheep , which the grandchildren loved . The owners have gone over and above with facilities , we was especially impressed by the stair gates . The hot tub was cleaned every day for added hygiene . Would highly recommend this cottage . Amazing memories made .

Sam Kilpatrick
Sam Kilpatrick: A clean, well - equipped and luxurious property. Situated at the end of a quiet lane, Weaver's Cottage is a beautifully restored property. Seconds from the Trans Pennine Way, you can take a short walk into Penistone where you will find shops, cafes and supermarkets. The well maintained hot tub is a welcome addition after a days walking and the games room is an added bonus, particularly if you have teenagers to entertain. We had a lovely family holiday and would recommend a stay at Weaver's Cottage. Thank you!

Ron Hagan
Ron Hagan: You have to see the photo book to appreciate how much work has gone into transforming this cottage from a black hole into the amazing modern and comfortable cottage it is today. Add to that the beautiful village, the adjacent Damflask reservoir plus the wonderful Plough pub just across the road and you will realise that it’s a totally wonderful place to stay. The visitors book comments nearly all finish with “we’ll be back”. So will I.

Jon Hoffmann
Jon Hoffmann: Another perfect stay. Alex and Rachel are extraordinary hosts and have perfected the blend of providing wonderful care and service, whilst allowing guests the freedom and space to enjoy the spectacular walks and views which surround their beautiful farm. This time, we stayed to attend our daughter’s wedding, in a church and venue nearby. We took over all the accommodation and it was quite simply fantastic.Honestly can’t recommend Bank View Farm highly enough.
Alan Pinnegar
Alan Pinnegar: Great location, comfortable, modern and well-equipped rooms.
Hugh Ritchie
Hugh Ritchie: A fabulous B&B! Alex and Rachel have put a lot of thought and effort into all the little touches around the property. Detailed info on walks in the area; farm visits possible to see the animals; home-grown flowers and vegetables. Lovely breakfasts! Must go back, though we live about 200 miles away!Rooms: Our room (the Hayloft) had a spacious bathroom, bedroom and separate living room.
Christine Ritchie
Christine Ritchie: Lovely, friendly hosts offer an excellent breakfast with good choices, spacious clean rooms in a quiet rural area that is nevertheless close to other amenities. We would certainly recommend a stay here.Rooms: Clean and spacious. Well equipped with all you need.Walkability: Plenty of walks in the area. Written guides in the rooms to help.Food & drinks: Lovely breakfast. Fresh and well cooked/served.
Kawaii Kitten
Kawaii Kitten: We had a beautiful stay in Hayloft the superbly comfortable bed was very big with quality linen. The room was spacious it has everything you need attention to detail has been truly considered here even down to the fresh hand picked home grown flowers. The home made cakes waiting in our room were divine. The breakfast by Alex was delicious and we enjoyed a lovely morning chat with Rachel about chickens. My only disappointment was that I had requested champagne on arrival for my husbands birthday only to find this was overlooked. If you do request this maybe give Alex or Rachel a polite reminder before arrival so as not to be disappointed. The honesty bar was very well stocked this included an ice machine which is fantastic. We had a very peaceful stay here and would definitely recommend staying here. Next time we look forward to hopefully booking the cottage. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The accommodation is spacious and high quality. I had a lounge area and bedroom with shower room. All the creature comforts I needed. There are plenty of animals to interact with, I particularly enjoyed playing ball with Moss each afternoon.Breakfast every morning was excellent and they have a lot of home produce too.Alex and Rachel are really nice and friendly and very helpful.I really recommend staying here and would love to visit again.

We will definitely visit bank view farm in near future. Best place we have stayed for a long time. Thank you Alex and Raichel for making our stay very comfortable.
Firewood Film Photography & Filmmaking
Firewood Film Photography & Filmmaking: So much to say about Bank View Farm, we approached them through Air BnB and asked if they held weddings on their beautiful farm, and to our shock, they said they would be happy too!We had many meetings with them leading up to our day and also one postponement due to covid, they made everything so easy and seamless. They made sure the farm was ready for the big day, the lawns were freshly mowed, the flowers were blooming and Alex helped set up the tipi. Everything looked stunning! My family stayed within the Airbnb, they were blown away by the gorgeous rooms and views. The breakfasts were also stunning, nothing was too much fuss for them. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day, all of our guests were blown away by the gardens. - Our tipi was perfect for the setting. We just can't thank them both enough for making sure our day was perfect, from start to finish. We will treasure our wedding day forever and it's a massive thanks to Alex + Rachel!Heidi + Robert x
Ed James
Ed James: Excellent from start to finish. The hosts couldn't do enough for us, the breakfast and drinks were fresh and delicious and the accommodation was spacious, clean, comfortable and everything we wanted. Best B&B we've stayed at and we'll certainly be back.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Rachel Connor
Rachel Connor: Just wow! What an amazing stay at Bank View Farm for my 30th birthday. Rachel and Alex are faultless and do everything possible to make your stay as welcoming and comfortable. It's set in an idyllic location and is just so tranquil, but minutes down the road to the nearest town for amenities. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the breakfast to the cleanliness. A bonus was that you could play with their dogs, give them some love + feed the chickens and interact with all the animals on the farm. I can't fault this place!! Hopefully, we will return in the near future.

Gail Smallman: We enjoyed our weekend here in mid DecemberWe had 2 of the cottages booked outThe pool was great and kitchens were very well equippedThe hill was a bit iffy to drive up but we did have cold icy weather at the timeOnly downside was the lack of any Christmas decorations which we were expecting
Daz Martins
Daz Martins: We had a lovely stay here in the shepherds hut. It’s tiny but contains everything you could possibly need. perfect for couples, it has its own kitchen with hob, sink, fridge,Separate toilet and shower room.It was freezing cold outside but toasty warm inside. The bed pulls down over the sofa area and was comfortable. There’s tv with a Bluetooth sound bar to play music off your phone.Everything was clean, and easy to clean before we left.Tea coffee and biscuits were left as a welcome gift.Outside area had a table/chairs plus a bbq!Your not over looked and the view is beautiful. If you like walking you’ll be in your element.

David Smallman
David Smallman: We went for a pre Christmas family get-together. The cottages were comfortable, although with only one bathroom between all guests, it was a little limited. Having gone over Christmas we expected decorations, howeve, there wasn't any. The cottages are accessed via a farm track up a steep hill. While not an issue, the ground froze and getting out led to using my car as a toboggan. There is a grit bin on site but no evidence of salt being spread. More of an issue was the are immediately around the cottages became very slippy when wet and lethal when frozen. Accessing the onsite pool was "interesting" when frozen.Rooms: Clean and basic. Lots of squeaky floorboards given the age of the property.Safety: Ground around the property and access road become very slippy when frozen with no salt spreading when we visited.Food & drinks: Several pubs and shops within 10 minutes drive of the apartment. However, pubs can get full quick so advise booking ahead of time to ensure space.

Tom Brant
Tom Brant: Disappointed in the lack of clarity when booking and even these pictures are more than a little deceiving. Six of us booked here, 3 couples and brought a new rescue dog. It wasn't until after we booked that we found out that the lovely garden is shared with the house next door. 'Luckily' the family in the next house didnt have another dog but we couldn't let the dog run free because of their children. The house is also lovely but only if you know your friends well as there isn't a lot of space and the second 'bathroom' (shower cubicle and toilet stall) is outside the house. The living space only has sofas for 6 but the seating area would work as a squeeze for 8. We also didn't find out that the pool was shared until after booking, thankfully because of covid we had sole access albeit in shifts. That being said the house is nice, and the pool was great but the sharing arrangements should be obvious on booking, you can't trust the pictures!

Oaker Farm Holidays - Cottages and Shepherd's Hut: what do users think?
Barry Delve
Barry Delve: Starting with the positive, the hut itself was really well appointed with everything you could need and very spacious. The location and views were amazing and it’s very secluded and private. However, the whole experience was really disappointing and let down by the poor sleeping experience we had. The mattress was unbelievably hard and we had no sleep at all and were left exhausted, in pain and with sore and aching shoulders and back. It was such a shame when everything else was so good. We went to recharge and rest up … we ended up coming home more exhausted. It just wasn’t comfortable not even the chairs.
Elizabeth Allen
Elizabeth Allen: Beautifully kept accommodation in a stunning location, couldn't fault it
Steve Steele
Steve Steele: Stunning and relaxing location and the most comfortable and quality accommodation. We stayed in Haddy's Hut which is a gem of place to stay.We were met by Julie who explained everything and when we walked in to the hut we're met with the most bright and clean accomodation and an amazing home made cake 😃.A bright and cosy accomodation with all you need for a stay. All facilities here are spotless and top quality. We enjoyed 2 evenings sat outside with fire pit and marshmallows and enjoyed the peace and stars.Great place to base for walks and visits to local attractions. There is a railway station 30 mins walk away, if required. We visited the Cheshire Cheese pub 20 mins walk away and had great food and service.Overall, amazing hosts, amazi g accomodation in the most relaxing and peaceful location. Laura Johnson: Stunning and relaxing location and the most comfortable and quality accommodation. Will definately visit here again.
Helen Clark
Helen Clark: An ideal location to stay for exploring The Peak District. We stayed in The Dairy which has all the facilities you need for a self catering break. The cottage was very comfortable, great after a day walking, and has great views from the upstairs living room. Good over bath shower and cosy bed. Julie was friendly and the lemon drizzle cake, on arrival, went down very well :) Would certainly recommend staying at Oaker Farm and we hope to return in the future.
Sarah McCartney (Scenthusiasm)
Sarah McCartney (Scenthusiasm): It's a beautiful place. Tidy, comfortable well equipped, wonderfully situated fir walking or just sitting about. The only one tiny thing I could think of changing is that with matching towels for all four of us, it's quite hard to keep track of which are whose. The views are wonderful, the cottage itself and outside courtyards are restful and perfectly maintained. The birdboxes and feeders are lovely, we watched swallows, wrens, robins and a woodpecker visiting.
Jane Gilbert
Jane Gilbert: An absolutely gorgeous cottage at the end of a lane off the main Hope Valley Road. Superb in every way. You won't need for anything in terms of comfort, cleanliness and peace. You can walk directly from the cottage in the hills. However, just 30-45 minutes drive and you are at Chatsworth House (just Wow!), Buxton, Victorian Spa Town or Cromford Mill of Arkwright fame. We will certainly book again when in the area.
Sofia Bruns
Sofia Bruns: We had great days on Oaker Farm, which is located in the heart of the Peak District and a great spot for hiking. The cottage was absolutely clean, well equiped, and nicely decorated. Also, the whole farm is very lovely and in a great condition. We can highly recommend this place!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Julie was a wonderful host & made us very welcome going the extra mile to add a birthday banner for our celebration - Thank You.The Hope Valley area has some excellent walks, many are right on the doorstep, and we had a fun day in Buxton & at the Derwent Reservoir. We will be coming back & keep our fingers crossed that we are once again blessed with good weather.

Jill Yeo
Jill Yeo: Our stay in the Old Dairy at Oaker Farm was everything that we'd hoped for. It was a lovely, cosy cottage with everything that we needed and was peaceful and surrounded by dramatic countryside. We chose this spot so that we could go on a few walks and were delighted to find a couple outside the door. In the evenings the village of Hope offered a choice of eateries. The Cheshire Cheese has lovely food or the Curry house on the main road offers equally good meals. In one week we've barely experienced all that the Dark Peak area has to offer and look forward to returning.
Samantha Bush

Adrian Greaves
Adrian Greaves: Oaker Farm is situated in a superb location at the end of a quiet country lane but within easy and accessible reach of amenities. Wonderful scenery from every window and numerous walks direct from the doorstep. Having now stayed in all cottages and Haddy's Hut we can honestly say the high standard of accommodation, attention to detail and level of cleanliness is apparent throughout. Stephen and Julie are always friendly and welcoming and work hard to achieve such wonderful holiday accommodation.
Ranmal Vanderpoorten
Ranmal Vanderpoorten: The place was cosy, welcoming, comfortable and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The location was lovely as it was at the end of a valley with fine views of the ridge in front. The only reason for not giving 5/5 was the fact that we had an elderly person who had issues with bathtub. No grab rails so he couldn't get in to it. Definitely recommend the place for non elderly!
