Niall Finn: We had a really lovely meal here early evening on a Monday night. It was the first time we visited and the staff were very friendly and the food.. delicious! I had the stir fried pork with fungus and cucumber also with egg fried rice. For the veggie other half, stir fried vegetables with egg noodles. Absolutely lovely!

Jia May Lim: Most disappointing and not authentic Mee Goreng ever. The description clearly state that it is yellow noodle but turned out to be something totally different. Yet the waitress insisted that this is how Malaysian Yellow Noodle should be and they have always serve it like this. In that case maybe you should change the photo in your menu because it was clearly the right kind of Malaysian Yellow Noodle. Shocking service 🤯🤯

Neville Taylor: I was invited to eat at the Wong Ting. The food was simply divine. We ordered from the buffet menu. It was amazing unlimited ordering! We tried the duck, beef, squid & pork ribs. ALL the food was freshly cooked.. Definitely going back⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Oghenegare Uduophori: We came here for a birthday dinner after our first choice was delayed. It was one of the best decisions we made that night. The food was lovely, the all you can eat menu style was perfect for sharing our meals together. Please note this was not inclusive of drinks. I wish I could list out the specifics but it was a full table and no one ordered the same thing too. If you are in Sheffield and are craving some authentic Chinese at a decent price, this is definitely the place to be!! Special shout out to the team who were kind with their service! Also for attending to our lovely Malibu and coke drinks requests which were perfectly mixed!!
Safie sellu: I would advice everyone to go there! I came from London to visit my best friend who had just moved to the area doing her masters and we were not sure where to eat. Between here and other stores like cosmos. We asked around and everyone around advised we eat at Wong ting and I kid you not I do not want to egret it! I went there every other day during my stay there. The environment is clean. The food is amazing and cooked well with good season! It test really authentic and I am more than satisfied. I really would pick this place over cosmos and every other food area. I cannot wait to go back there when I go to Sheffield again. The staffs are polite and the price for the food you get is amazing it is very filling and would urge anyone to go there! The food comes in good time too!

Sasha N-Lee: Have been craving dim sum lately and coming to this restaurant was just meant to be. Besides boasting a wide variety of dishes, the food was extremely fresh and tasty. We ordered a serving of Crispy Milk and was wonderfully surprised, a definite must try! The XO fried radish cake is up there for me, alongside the hargao (steamed prawn dumplings) and fish congee. A lovely place for family and friends, will be returning soon!

My only grievance is that after reading reviews before my visit I was fully under the impression that my face would be stroked by Lance or that he would at the very least sit and dine with us. I may be nitpicking slightly but I’d be shying away from the truth if I was to say I wasn’t disappointed about this. Good access to the boom boom room afterwards too.
The Sassyharley: Went here with my partner and enjoyed lunch. I wanted to try out this restaurant as I've seen all the bad reviews. Food was decent, I've had better. Alot of the food was cold which was a down side but the flavour was decent. Alot of stares at me and my partner as he is chinese and I am white/arab. Which isn't out of the normal. Happens all the time. Staff was okay. I do feel that some of the dishes are slightly expensive but overall it was an okay lunch we had. I would recommend going here.I'm curious to see how I would be treated if I wasn't with my chinese partner. I will visit again and update my review.

Ben Higgins: Stay away with kids - nice food but left feeling cheated.Visited on the 14th April.Having a father and daughter day and my 12 year old daughter and she wanted to go to an all-you-can eat Chinese as she likes a like a small selection so decided on wongting.Initial impressions were good. The person who greeted us related well and asked her how old she was and said she was tall for her age (as he compared his height to hers).He asked if we wanted all you can eat. I said yes - I saw a menu on the wall that said adults are £22.50 and children are £10, I didn't notice there was a height restriction.At the end of the meal I asked for the bill and thought there must have been a mistake as they had charged for 2 adults. When I queried it I was told it was based on height and anyone over 1.4m is an adult. I was shown a different menu and it said height restriction applies although it doesn't say the actual height.My daughter is only just over 1.4m and she probably only just eats £10 worth of food.My feedback to the owners would be if you are going to have a height restriction that means most kids over 10 can't have a kids menu make sure everyone is aware of this when you are measuring them on entry.Message to any adult who is under 1.4 - go to wongting you will get a great meal for only £10 😊 !!This should have been a great lunch out with my daughter, but I left feeling the restaurant underhanded.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly

And, some meet was processed, like pieces of salami rather than proper meat.They claimed to have just ran out Chinese beer, so we had to settle with Cobra.Vegetarian options: Very nice vegetarian dish, not typical Chinese food.
Leo: I decided to give this place a try and I was extremely disappointed. The girl who serves seems stressed and in a rush and doesn’t seem to know what each dish contains. Food was oily and too much MSG with high price. What is more, it screams tax evasion which causes lots of inconvenience and Yes you got it right, they accept cash only. Or they will cost you extra for using contactless.Not recommended at all, and the search for a decent Chinese restaurant in Sheffield continues!
Joseph Green: Where do I even start. Extremely oily food and too much MSG. Unfriendly staff, Noisy environment, and different price on the bill than the menu ( charge us extra). The food description of the dish on the menu is misleading, for people who have any food allergies should be aware of this. Most people were asked to pay with cash as you will getting a price rise for paying with card.We were also asked to leave early as it was a busy Saturday. In all, an unpleasant experience. Would not recommend.
Steve Dalai: Updating my review after visiting last night, this used to be great but now not so much.The price has gone up to £30 each with no tiers. The meat quality was quite bad, particularly the lamb and the beef, definitely not as good as it used to be and had a bit of an odd taste.You now get unlimited drinks, which I guess justifys the price hike, but with the quality of the meat going down we were disappointed.Also note there is no kids price, its £30 each regardless

Vitaliy K: The service was outstanding. Very friendly and attentive. We were even moved to a more desirable table upon arrival. We loved the food. The soft shell crab starter was amazing. The sweet and sour chicken main was very crispy, filling and delicious. Their portion sizes won’t leave you hungry. Some starters are a little pricey however, such as the beetroot dumplings (£9 for 3 small dumplings) but the price range of the menu is a little above average, so it is expected. There’s also the added option to take your leftovers home with you, with no additional charge. We reserved a table last minute on 29th of August (Bank Holiday). The booking process is very easy and takes no time at all via their website.

Ling: Food was 5* but the loose leaf green tea was terrible - see pics. Pale and watery, old leaves used, never darkened in colour like fresh leaves in boiling hot water should. Issue with our drinks too, they didn't come and we were left without any beverages for about 15 mins and only came when we asked again with food. Really a shame as the food was so good!

My wife had egg fried rice, with beef and garlic sprouts(even though they look like green beans on the photo) my wife loved it, also I tried her dish and it was excellent. This meal, and 3 drinks between us was just over £55. Two very satisfied customers. We will return when we are next in Sheffield. Lots of choices, highly recommend. Thank you china red!

Arthur: I went here in my first month at uni. As a uni student, the prices are a little dear, but I can accept that when I'm met with fast and delightful service, high quality of food and authentic cuisine. I ordered Szechuan village-style pork belly with a side of fried rice. There was plenty of food for my cousin and I, with even enough left to take home in a takeaway box. As I said, the staff were friendly and the restaurant was a pleasant environment in a good location. Will definitely be going back again sometime. :)
