Taste Peru Sheffield: what do users think?

Connor Downs: Went in for some food. Really tasty and some good options

Owen: Ate lomo saltado, and drunk an Inca Kola, for a small moment I felt like I was back in Peru 🇵🇪👌 que rico!!!

David Cook: Been here a few time over the holidays, good food with good flavours. Little lad keeps badgering me to keep coming back as he loves their kids special which is really good value.

Vicki Jackson: A group of us went to Orchard Square last night for food and this is the first time I’ve been here, I wanted to try something different so headed to the Taste Peru which has a fab menu, I ordered the Rumba Rice with Grilled Chicken, unfortunately my meal hadn’t arrived by 20 mins later so I went to ask, and the guy was mortified as my meal had been made but appeared someone had taken it. He asked if I would mind if he cooked another (out group we’re waiting to leave as they by this time had already eaten) I’m glad I waited, for my inconvenience they offered an appetiser which I felt bad accepting as it was not their fault my meal went missing. I chose the Yuca Fries, the meal was absolutely delicious cooked to perfection. I will definitely order from here again! Thank you

Yannie A: When I visited the sheffield plate food hall, I was captured by the atmosphere I was invited with at Taste Peru as it was very welcoming. I had the Lomo Saltado, which was very nice and filling. I really recommend visiting them and I look forward to visiting again soon :)

Robert Scanlon: Really tasty food, very reasonable prices and friendly service, highly recommended!

Benjamin Storm: Always fantastic fresh food here!
Jack Allen: Better flavour and satisfaction than a recent visit to a place that cost us £100+Delicious!
Chunky Chunky: TastePeru @ Sheffield Plate made a great change from the standard fastfood outlets on most main streets. On this visit we had the Chicken burger with side salad and Fries.Food was cooked to order and arrived hot and tasty.Situated inside the food hall alongside other street style kiosks, plenty of seating was available inside and out with a bar if you fancied a beer with your meal.Definitely coming here again, tasty food, great venue and atmosphere made this outing a very nice experience, far far better than the fast food outlets you see in every town and city across the UK.Give this review a thumbs up if you think this will be helpful for others.
Khariff: Love getting my yuca fries fix. With half /half ketchup mayo. Good combination.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
H Mc: No idea why this is rated so highly. The food is so so bland, lacks seasoning and temperature even. Disappointing.
Nick Russell: Great food, really tasty and very friendly and helpful service
María Juesas Gómez: Precio razonable, atención estupenda y comida deliciosa. Volveremos!
Stefano Tatuaggi: Food is nice but You never know when it’s open or not!Several time I tried to eat there but they always close in different timing, even if written differently on the website or google.Hard to eat there even if you want.
Abdulrahman Almalki2: Splendid
Molly Galpin: I adore this place!Wonderful food & super friendly staff.Always worth a visit when I'm at Sheffield Plate 😊
Laura Kishimoto: I ordered the Lomo Saltado bowl. Really tasty, friendly staff, great value, quick service. The sauce is especially fantastic. I'll be back!
Harry G Connor: Lomo saltado was good on Sunday

Tank: what do users think?

Dom GTSK: I don’t understand the reviews; bad security, bad sound system, bad crowd… Tank is tank and no other place will beat it, never had a bad experience. Just live a little

Mike Dorkzy: Been going to tank for quite a long time often. Travel from Manchester to go to the venue. Always great atmosphere, lovely staff. Just wish the air con was better considering they spent so much on the new lights
Billy Street-Rose: Went to see silky on 29th April. Silky didn’t turn up which admittedly isn’t the venue’s fault but no announcement was made on the night, instead just covering with resident DJs which is not what people went for. No mention of refunds now a week later, seems like they’re just trying to bury it. Other bad points are £10 minimum card spend, expensive drinks and the fact I was told to go to the toilet for tap water. Doubt I’ll visit again after this.
Hollie Jackson: ABSOLUTE SCAMdrove an hour and a half to see silky, was waiting until 3.30am and as time went on we knew he wasn’t going to be coming. nobody in the club ever mentioned this they left us still buying drinks all night listening to someone we didn’t even want to see until closing time. time wasters. AVOID
Declan Coombes: Best night club in sheffiled
Robert Dixon: Came for an event and quite impressed with the sound system and visuals. However, we had to queue for about an hour, despite paying for tickets as they only had one ID checker. Also there is a £10 minimum bar spend and the drinks are quite pricey for up north but to be expected for a rated club I guess. Also no tap water, only bottled which they want cash for.
Jess: Amazing and fast bar service. Maybe a cleaner in the toilets but still was an epic night!
Abbie Cooper: Decent music but was spoiled by the fact I was charged nearly £20 for two double rums ??
beau Monk: I had a good night in tank, but there are a few issues that you need to address1. The aircon clearly doesn’t work at all, it’s way too hot inside2. I had no prior knowledge of a £10 minimum card spend, had I known I’d of taken cash with me & because I was on my own, I had to just drink tap water all night (which you made difficult) as I wouldn’t need £10 worth of drinks a go, but because it was so hot I had to get water every 20 mins so was a bit long3. Toilet doors don’t lockPlus points I found sound system decent and overall I did like the club, it was better than I was expecting and I had no trouble with the crowd, staff or security
Sam Brown: First and last time going to tank. They charge different prices at different bars, I think they just decide what they charge depending on the person. Would’ve been an amazing night if it wasn’t for the terrible venue and service. If you want a proper underground night out I’d suggest you go somewhere proper like dryad or hope works. They also were promoting that electrikal sound system was there, which they were not. I have a better sound system at home, I should’ve booked all the talented DJs that came tonight and hosted a party at my house. Shameful
Mark Lee: Needed id to gain entry even though im 33 the event did not meention this cl3arly thaf you actually need your id to be scammed there was 3 of turned away after 2 hour drive to be told were not allowed in when we have our tickets pre booked and we must have id or no entry
Freya Glazebrook: Tank is absolutely the place to be if you like drum & bass. Great lineups and always a good night music-wise. I have found the dance floor area to be a little more spacious and less claustrophobic since the revamp.Only problem is the £10 minimum card spend at the bar which really puts people off buying drinks there. The bar can also sometimes be awkward about giving people tap water which is not great considering how hot and sweaty it can get in there. If the bar and drinks prices were more student-friendly and more air-con was installed then Tank would be perfect.
Jayden Cadle: Not offering tap water? Bar staff telling me to get it from the toilet, legally as a company you have to provide tap water. Rude toilet attendant pushing people out of the toilets and £10 minimum card spend. Only good thing about this place was the music
Leigh Skelley: Mint venue but one of the bar workers is really unnecessarily rude every time we get served by her.
Adam: Used to be very good now they charge £8 for a double. Still good music but feel like the pricing has ruined it!
Its Clarkey: Chase and status was the worst rave I’ve ever been to. The crowds are so so so bad, so much pushing in your back and no room to dance. Couldn’t even listen to the music cos I was focusing on the crowd so much. Don’t let annoying chavs in and don’t over sell tickets. Never going again . Also so expensive for drinks. £5 for a can of Red Bull. Ripping of poor students
Callum Berry: Sick line ups. But always worst crowds and terrible sound system
Amber-jane Parrott: Asked for tap water made us walk to 3 different bars as half of them couldn’t provide water. To then be told they don’t give away free tap water and you will have to buy a £2.50 bottle. Lots of fights and boucers did nothing
Dee J: Used to be a good night out, Shame it’s closing down.
iren f: my phone was stolen in this place. Horrible
Melissa Viegas: Amazing staff!
Carrissa Brammah: Amazing club , great music amazing people and friendly staff

Corporation: what do users think?

Davey Butch Butcher: Great place to see live music. Just look at the photos.

Graham Helliwell: Small place but great venue. Expected parking to be an issue but was straight forward.

Dean Fletcher: Great venue with a great selection of beers and ales. Perfect live music venue! 😎🍻👌
mark shepherd: Travelled 250 miles and couldn't have come across a better venue! The sound was amazing and the welcome from the staff was second to none
Johnny Arrow: Great club that has many great bands playing. Saw Dvne recently in one of the smaller rooms it was really intimate and there was a great overall sound and atmosphere. Dvne were amazing too of course!
Andrew Nell: The Corporation excellent live music venue. Place seems very big with an upstairs which we didn't go to. There are two rooms downstairs with stages and each has a bar. One room is small and intimate with a good stage for live acts. The other room is at least twice the size, with a good stage and a long bar for more popular bands. There is an excellent pub at the End of the Street less than 200 yards away. A great place to meet up and for pre concert drinks. It's a nice venue to see live music and the sound quality was excellent. The staff were very friendly and professional. There is also free on street parking, at night right outside the corporation.
Paul Mitchelson: 2 of the bouncers saw a friend of mine having a epileptic fit but instead of calling for an ambulance they carried her out of a back door and left her there. Total professionalism. This place needs an ICBM detonating over it
Connor Madden: Play a full song challenge failed
chrissy corbett: Coloured pints, nuff said !
Charlene Stengel: Fun place, they have a special offer on Monday where drinks are 90p, you have multiple big rooms to choose from, all with different musics. The people I have met there were all friendly!
Rick Clarkey: Reyt good venue 💯
Anish Chatterjee: Amazing ambience. They've got different rooms in the ground floor and first floor with different genres of music. Tickets are a bit costly as compared to other nightclubs. But this is so worth it. Must visit.
Joshua Douglass: Still given 5 because corp is in my heart, blood and veins. But you seriously need to sort your bouncers out.Last night I saw a group of lads who they stopped dancing when they were doing nothing more than holding hands and basically doing ring a ring a rosie. Not even going fast or causing a nuance to anyone else.We used to have full blown mosh pits on a club night and now you can't even dance.Really sad to see corp going downhill and was properly dead on a Friday. Needs to find a way back to what it use to be.
Chris Mac: Great club, great music, lots of space to wiggle
Juste Ziulpaite: Remixed baby shark
Romany Evans: Abusive bouncers, treat people 'in the trade' e.g. working at other clubs or bars with visibly more respect whereas treating everyone else like dirt, laughing and making disgusting remarks acting as if they are all ganging up in you, even saying to me " haha no you don't get this kind of treatment" when letting someone in and not having to be searched.this is not behaviour I have experienced one time this is continuous and always makes me anxoius about even going to corp it puts me off as you never know if they are actually going to let you in or not as you can tell the 'rules' they have are very much only applied to specific people as and when they choose. I am going to stop even giving them the time of day as their behaviour seems to just be getting more extreme, which is a shame as once through the doors and bouncer'sit tends to be an quite an enjoyable experience.
Ed: Pint and a single £6.90 short measure 'double' of the same £9 served by the person who claimed to be bar supervisor. Nice venue but drink before you go
jamie bond: Stay away from this club! I have been a very loyal customer of this place. Here I detail how a white man assaults an ethnic minority member of the LGBT community and in response the club bans the victim from coming in again.I always order my tickets online and can prove I’ve bought over 300 in recent years. On revolution night on Saturday 5th- Sunday 6th November I went into the Revolution room. This guy gave me a load of verbal abuse- he does it every time I go in. A very kind hearted individual- a crossdresser- took him away. Then a few minutes later he came back and gave me more abuse. Then he did a roundhouse kick on me. There was no bouncer in the room- in fact the security in that place has gone downhill. ~Now I am very used to taking such hits given my day job. However, had I not been so used to it I could have been very hurt. I then walked away and went to the security guards outside. I asked if people are allowed to do that. The security guard said they are not meant to. This security guard came in and removed the offender.I also informed the police because I knew this guy’s name. The police officer rang the assailant and I understand a warning was given.I then had a period of illness due to covid. A month later I went in on revolution night and this female security guard had told me that senior management had told the bouncers not to let me in. This is how they treat their loyal customers! A few years ago, a young woman died on the way home from this club. Lots of people went on social media saying they weren’t coming in and I replied saying it was very safe. The same happened after a knifing there. So, consider this. A white man who comes in once a month assaults an ethnic minority member of the LGBT community who comes in at least twice a month. The same member who went online to to reassure those who were worried about safety. In response to an assault they ban the victim!I also have details of other cases. I am now seeing a solicitor about legal action against this place.
Chloe Fitzgerald: Disgusting bouncers!! Lost my phone which had my bank card in the case had no way home or contact to anyone I got laughed at and told to leave forcefully, the women bouncer was disgusting and joked about autism and made fun out of my friend for it she also proceeded to laugh when having a panic attack on the floor as I was stranded and scared, may be cheap but isn’t worth it
Dave: I've been here 3 times now and I've really enjoyed it. The bands were great and the sound was good. Staff etc were spot on.
fats: First time there last night. Totally wicked time! The drinks were super cheap and delicious. Four flours of total variety. Acid rock, 80s punk , 90s jams and a lil drum and base right up my alley! I'll be back for sure .
Matt P: Some of the bouncers are unprofessional and plain rude. One even swore to my face unprovoked. Worst in Sheffield. This is my first ever google review, I felt it necessary to express this.

Lyndsey and the rest of the security team literally went above and beyond to try and find some for her (which they did, thank you again!) which made my night as we were celebrating my birthday. Thank you thank you lovely humans!!!

Cubana Tapas Bar: what do users think?

Amelia C: Amazing food and cocktails! Very fun atmosphere with the restaurant upstairs and a dance floor on the ground floor

E Andrews: Had some lovely tapas accompanied by some amazing cocktails! Lovely independent tapas restaurant, would highly recommends! Staff friendly chatty & attentive and the tapas tasted divine, freshly prepared and authentic 👌

Jon Parker Lee: Don’t be put off by the chain restaurant decor - this place is absolutely brilliant. The food is very good and the portions are generous for a British tapas restaurant. But the best thing is the wonderful atmosphere…a place where the staff are clearly very happy, smiley and enjoying working there. This is so rare nowadays, and is a much underrated characteristic in enjoying dining…maybe it’s because they’re not working for accountants running a chain diner by numbers. Will be back soon. Thank you.

TIM SCHOFIELD: We were a group of 6. Booked table for 9pm and shown directly to table. All the staff were polite and friendly and also gave great service. Great selection of drinks...cocktails very nice. Atmosphere was lively and the saxophone player added to the evening. The food was top quality especially the prawns and chicken skewers. All very tasty. We were there for 3 hours and the time flew by. Highly recommended as a great meal out if you like your tapas.

Giles de la Cruz: Really good tapas restaurant with very good prices and very generous portions. Really recommend the croquettes. There was also some live music when we went, with v friendly staff (and good dancers - Latino too which made it feel so much more authentic) and served food until 10ish (we arrived by 9 and left by 11). Drinks were reasonably priced and music downstairs in the club was funky

Taste Peru: what do users think?
Dean Betteridge: What a little find in South Yorkshire, an array of South American food & drink. The choice of Jarritos (Mexican Soda) plus Peruvian dishes to accompany is great.Service on top is great - Truly looking forward to returning to try the rest of the menu. Easily recommend to the adventurous as I'm aware often people shy from spice/flavour but shouldn't here as it truly enhances the pallet.
Molly Needham1: Received the wrong item which i told her i was allergic to and didn’t even consider changing it and then told me i ordered that which i didn’t , bad customer service don’t go here
Maura Montgomery: Excellent meal prepared quickly , gorgeous beef cooked beautifully, tender and gently spiced, served with great rice and vegetables ,I declined to include the chips but still a good healthy serving £12 . My friend had the beef with noodles and vegetables and she thoroughly enjoyed her meal . Friendly staff who were happy to chat and made recommendations we also tried 4 different flavours in the Inka drinks, lime, strawberry, gauva, melon all are refreshing and not too sweet . £3.60 per bottle
Nicholas Leeks: Interesting they don't just serve Peruvian food, but also Brazilian, Chilean, Argentinian, and Uruguayan. Plus a special private dining of Uruguayan food/culture apparently.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Benjamin Andres Acevedo: Best Peruvian food in Doncaster. Absolutely delicious. Can't go wrong with the Lomo saltado. Gracias!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Osama Madlom: Fantastic service and lovely authentic South American cuisine….in South Yorkshire!
Victor Lee: Superb food great service
Gordon d'Andilly: Tried it on a whim.Really personal service, I think from the bloke who ran it. Top notch for Gluten Free food in Doncaster. Prices were good, food was really nice.Chatting to the bloke behind the counter they are looking to expand their range or drinks to have more gluten free drinksAlso it was really busy which you can see from the photo which is always a good sign. Will definitely return
Leigh: Best food in Doncaster by far can not to head back there just for this place
Tony Nichols: Came to Doncaster today had heard about the wool market food court we decided on Taste Peru and wasn’t disappointed I ordered Lomo Saltado and my wife ordered chicken Rumba Skewers both delicious
Dave: Rubbery beef, very little veg, bland, only flavour I could taste was soy sauce. Really disappointing
Flowster1000: Wow! Incredible food and well worth the trip to get there!Highly recommended.
Dr Chris Eames: Just beautiful. I hope it stays there for a few years. Everything I've tried from there has been delicious and my co eaters have always responded positively. What a gem!
Andrew Scaife: Delicious. Had a vegetarian Rumba Quesadilla (spicey). Absolutely wonderful.

A wide range of food available.I use a lightweight foldable mobility scooter and it just fits in the lift. I believe a wheel chair would be fine but I am not sure if a standard mobility scooter would manage. Our room was so cold. We switched the heating system on and followed the instructions but it just blew out cold air. When we went for our evening meal in the hotel's restaurant it was also cold in there. I didn't like that at all.Nearby activities: The National Video Game museum

Casa77 Setenta y siete: Ridiculous prices. Has gone 200% up in recent years.
James Bates: Friendly staff a little bit quirky reminded me of Fawlty towers for a moment possibly cause I was in holiday mode.No bad thing.Very good spacious rooms clean bathroom and bedroom. Quite sufficient sofa bed decent sturdy mattress not a home fold out as we had guessed.Good options at breakfast buffet all can eat, could do with a few alterations.Fresher cakes and rolls. Pour over yoghurt for people who like lots of plain yoghurt with cereal and fruit. The self service toaster was awful and slow. The car park that was suggested was a bit to long of a walk, best to check Google maps before you arrive, although there was a very good discounted parking offer through premier Inn
Ann Jones: We have stayed in this hotel for the last few years when we've been to the Snooker We find its a great location . Bedrooms etc are excellent. Breakfasts are really good . Definitely recommendRooms: Clean / good size / comfortable
