Rafters Restaurant: what do users think?

KryptiK Knowledge: Decadent plating, amazing tastes and combinations of flavours, atmosphere that was peak fine dining. Great selection of wine, home brew beer and local vodka. Truly an amazing spectacle of an evening. Deserving of a Michelin star.

L LC: Always a fantastic experience here. The staff are friendly, warm and knowledgeable, the food is delicious and the place itself is cosy with a good atmosphere. Will go as many times as I can afford!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Celine Day: Had the best evening. Absolutely amazing food and drinks. Customer service was superb. The overall experience was unforgettable. Thanks

Francesc López Muñoz: Really attentive and looking after the customers.Food was really tasty, specially the cauliflower

Jas Sidhu: A wonderful culinary experience! I had the three course taster menu, which comes with an accompanying starter platter and a pallette cleanser before dessert. A wonderful array of food with flavours on each dish working together! Would have loved larger portion sizes of course, but it is fine dining! I feel the waiters could have been more engaging. However, overall excellent place! Well worth a visit.

Prince Of Wales Sheffield: what do users think?

Sarah: We went to the Prince of Wales for brunch on Sunday and it was lovely. The staff are really friendly, attentive and didn’t rush us even though it was getting a bit busy towards the end of our meal. There is a really good choice on the menu and they were really accommodating to some swaps on some of the dishes. Also a really decent price! Would recommend for brunch.

Nick Roberts: Popped up on Sunday morning to sample the new brunch menu and wasn’t disappointed.Traditional Full English. Spot on.Great value and a great start to the day.

Sharley Kingsley: Brought my parents to this pub today for Saturday lunch and it was brilliant. I had been here many times for drinks and cocktails but never for food. We had a small dog, so had to sit in the bar area, but it was extremely satisfactory. Great vibe and the service is what you would expect. I really don’t write reviews that much but I went out of my way to post this here this evening. If you visit, you will have an amazing time. Many thanks The Price of Wales Pub Sheffield.

Skye Martin: I went with a small group for Sunday lunch not so long ago. Billy on the bar was very friendly and approachable, great knowledge of the wine list. I didn’t manage to get the name of the food server but it was 10/10 all around, food quality, value and service. Looking forward to visit again soon. Parking: Large space for parking

Maddie: I had a wonderful time when I visited for food and drinks with a few friends. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We had a range of starters which were incredible and the chateaubriand sharing steak was cooked perfectly. There was also an excellent selection of wines and cocktails. We will definitely visit again soon.

Brocco Kitchen: what do users think?

Jo Marshall: What a wonderful meal we had. Probably the best Sunday lunch we have had for a very long time. Great food and great service.

Mary Hawes: Brocco pulled out all the stops and with 8 days notice sorted a sit down wedding reception for my niece. The food was varied and delicious and the staff welcoming and helpful.

Richard Moore: we had a very lovely meal, small plates every ine of which was a delight. My top tip is to order two or three then order another couple, take your time here, the food is great. The staff are really good and k ow their stuff. We ate outside which was fine, they had blankets and small fires . the only sour note was i was chaaeged full price for a half measure of brandy ( they ran out) but you know what we had a great meal and a good time . they are deserving of their michlan mentions

Daniel Ghirtoi: Service was excellent and staff is great, cool to chat and joke with , Laurie make our day playing around with our jokes. Food is ok too.Not a big fan of Sunday roast but is a good one.

rob stokes: Lovely south facing terrace that gets the sun in the morning & the sound of the porter brook. Brunch and coffee very nice.

Mattie Winder: Absolutely lovely! Food was great (we had goats cheese salad and Parma salad - both very generous portions and tasted amazing), staff were excellent and surroundings impressive. Looking forward to going again.
mariam eustathiou: Just an elegant place to dine, with some familiar menu options. Quiet and tasteful dining. Will be coming back!Parking: Make sure you arrive a little earlier as you may be circling round on the side streets for parking if the small parking area at the boutique hotel is full.
Michael Friedrich: Went there on a recommendation by friends. Had my birthday lunch there. Turned out to be fabulous. Portions are small but we did not leave hungry by any means. Would have wished that the service had been more attentive with regard to the accompanying drinks. Still the whole party enjoyed the lunch. Joshua Wren: We had an absolutely lovely meal here the other night! All the dishes were exceptional and beautifully flavoured! Service was immaculate and I personally enjoyed being able to watch the kitchen staff at work. Highly recommend this restaurant! (Only managed to get a photo of the amazing crumble as everything else was rapidly eaten!)
Sophie Rogers: Unfortunately totally underwhelmed. The staff were great and very accepting of us as a family, with disabilities and complexities, but the food was middle of the road at best.Leeks with cheese foam was leeks in a heavy, dense cheese sauce, the sea bass was two overcooked, cold inch square pieces of fish, the venison was tasty but again cold, cheese board was sub-par and just boring - bright spots were the scallops and the truffle popcorn, but really bemused by the recent Michelin write up I'm afraid - had better food on Sharrow Vale :-(
Wagstaff Watches: JUST SUPERB!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ben Cooper: Oh dear! So dreadfully disappointed. From poorly mixed cocktails so crammed full of ice cubes that the cheap cardboard disintegrating straws can't drink them, through to some food that tasted on a par with what you could buy in a supermarket (avoid the pigs in blankets). The service was good. We had an efficient, courteous & attentive waitress but the 'small plates' concept of mixing, sharing food works only if it comes out in a way you can genuinely share. Also, interpretation of classics is to be expected/desired but some options were just pretentious vanity dishes (the crumble is an insult to the dessert)There is clearly skill in the kitchen but for a place of Michellin quality, there was no wow-factor and our whole party was underwhelmed.
Lynda Gray: Just dropped in and really enjoyed our visit, it wasn't what we was expecting but on viewing the menu it was a little confusing but the waitress was very knowledgeable and described the food to perfection. This is a different kind of dining as it is not the quantity that everyone is accustomed to but the quality and taste is absolutely out of this world along with the presentation. We had the four Hunters collection and two sides and that was more than enough for two. The wines are of a good quality with a good selection and the cocktails being of a high standard. Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon.
Gary Kirwan: Good food,friendly and attentive service.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Ryan Jamieson: The staff were brilliant and the food delicious. It was worth the visit. We will be back.
James Booth: Friendly staff, good service and great food. I would definitely recommend Brocco at the Park
George Kiu: 環境很舒服,有多種食物選擇,早餐下午茶都有。
Stephanie Allison: Amazing service and food
O Ozmeister: A very enjoyable meal with family in a lovely environment and good service. It is a little confused though as it doesn't seem to know whether it's tapas or fine dining! It's therefore stuck in the middle and not as good as it could be for either. The food was lovely (especially the (bits of) fillet steak), but the portions too small for a main course, and too un-tapas-like to share. For me, it's quite overpriced as you need 2 mains + sides to make up a decent meal, but a nice experience nonetheless.Kid-friendliness: Not really tailored to children, but a lovely experience for them if they're well behavedParking: All parking in the local area is residents only, Mon to Sat, until 1830
Maddy Rahim-Rasool: Went for the afternoon tea for a colleagues retirement.. the layout was great.. one big table for us all.. a kind of private room.. but the food and drinks were average... Great staff!!
Jamie Roche: A bad Sunday lunch. The food was bland and overall disappointing given the expectation of good reviews and a Michelin recommendation. The roast potatoes were better described as boiled with no crunch whatsoever, the roast pork was dry and overcooked which is shocking given the fat was completely raw and unrendered and as a result no crackling, the stuffing was anaemic with no texture, and finally the gravy had little flavour and weak colour. Overall very disappointing, basic cafeteria food advertised as high end dining. Wouldn’t go again or recommend. Lazy cooking, needs a serious overhaul.

Silversmiths: what do users think?

Ivan: The food is decent for the price and the service was amazing. I found the flavor of curry powder in the chicken terrine a bit overwhelming and the Yorkshire pudding was too greasy to eat with the roast beef.

Christopher Blackburn: Hidden on a stunning little back street in the centre of Sheffield you’ll find that the service and ambiance at Silversmiths’s is absolutely fantastic. The food is equally as impressive and whilst I’d suggest some of the dishes are a tad confused and potentially dictated by a chef who likes to utilise fancy gadgets, the actual component parts of the meal are exceptional. The highlight for me was dessert. A stunningly well crafted and well thought out dish! Certainly worth a visit! Recommended.

Simon Taylor: Had the beef Sunday lunch with a cured salmon starter as a last minute walk in. Couldn’t fault anything apart from the Yorkshire pudding that was truly rock hard. Home cooked but left too long. I didn’t find it expensive and all prices clearly shown. If they were to cook their yorkshires whilst getting the starter ready that wouldn’t be a problem.
Yichen HE: This is an experience in 2019, hope the restaurant gets better. We had lunch at Silversmiths, and we ordered the fish and chips and pastas. However, we waited more than 30 mins for the food, and the pasta was quite salty. Not very pleaseant

Garry Levin: This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. From the quality of the food which was superb, to the staff who were knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, to the ambience which was buzzy and lively.I cannot fault this restaurant and would commend it to anyone from, or visiting Sheffield.Dietary restrictions: We chose a gluten free option. Not only were they available but the staff were hugely knowledgeable and helpful.
Debra Haythorne: Good bottomless brunch. Quality of drinks was excellent, service was quick. Food slightly delayed despite being pre-ordered and a bit cold. However, overall a great experience and we would return/recommend.
Jess Hamilton: We had very nice evening spent here, the food is beautiful, the atmosphere friendly and relaxed.Recommended
H Chalmers: It was a nice meal. A few things let the food down. The main one being the sloppy crumble. ☹ But the staff were great and it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Phil Cooke: Here’s some feedbackStartersCod cheeks, served in a small bowl, so contents are squished in together. That might be a personal preference however it made to hard to enjoy the elements of the dishes properly. Tartare sauce contained silver skin onions, which took away from the dish.Baked onion, under cooked, crunchy, didn’t deliver the slow cooked umami that was expected.MainsCod. Cod was good. Leeks hard and undercooked. Five pieces of artichoke that overwhelmed the dishFillet steak. Two small medallions, lacking enough seasoning for my taste. The bordelaise sauce was shallot heavy. The potato croquette was missing and there was 2 large onion rings, that weren’t expected or mentioned on the menu and really didn’t add anything to the dish. The onion rings, with the smoked onion, with the onion sauce, onion is the dominate flavour. The croquette, when it arrived, had a strong smokey spicey note, maybe chorizo, and was again too strong to compliment the fillet. A glass of wine was offered as compensation for the missing croquette. An attempt was made to feedback the end of the meal, as the person waiting on us noticed the remaining food, however the engagement was cut short.Nice setting and comfortable inside but a restaurant not quite hitting the mark.
Jason Francis: Excellent food and excellent staff. It was quiet when we went, probably because everyone is low on money after Christmas. I had belly pork as a starter which came with a nicely spiced sauce. Lamb for main which was breast plus a chop. The vegetables that came alongside were outstanding.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Michael Jenkinson: Very interesting experience. The food is exquisitely fresh and flavoursome. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about the quality of the food and the drinks. The issue we had was the staff and their dangerously low understanding of the menu. A couple of comments from the staff were questionable e.g. 'You can get fish and chips anywhere'. Even the responses to our questions regarding dietary requirements were unprofessional e.g. 'I think all of the ice-cream is vegan' - as a note, none of the icecream mentioned on the menu was vegan. (When you consider that a 3 course meal and bottle of wine for two people could surpass £100 - this is something I would expect the staff to know).Other than the management needing to train their staff on the complexities of their excellent menu, we cannot fault our experience and would recommend if you are in the area.

Browns Sheffield: what do users think?

Marie Gremaud: We had a lovely evening at Browns in Sheffield! The restaurant is big, with a lot of seating area and a bar. It’s located in the middle of the city centre, so it’s very easy to access. The staff were all helpful and nice and we got offered water as soon as we reached the table. Claudia was our main server and she was very friendly. We then ordered drinks; we went for cocktails and the salted caramel martini was one of the best drinks I’ve had in a while! The food was so nice as well; the scallops were soft and melting in the mouth, and my fish main was delicious.

Louis Hardcastle: Wait staff were very good, diligent, couldnt do enough for you. Asked for two burgers medium rare with some extras, wasnt charged for the extras but was denied the cooking preference and had to eat a well done burger (later found out this was due to cooking standards) . Decor is awesome, art deco style with a grand piano center peice. Good date spot.

Nathan Burroughs: Enjoyed an evening meal here recently. It has a nice romantic atmosphere, the staff are friendly and professional and the food is tasty. My only criticism is that the menu is a little too limited, fussy eaters will probably not do well here.

Heather Chapman: Fabulous place to eat, drink and relax. Attended the party here. The access is excellent with a nice gentle ramp. Toilets are superb! Paper towels for those that need them, toiletries and sanitation for those that forgot them, and a shelf for your bag while you transfer. Both side and front transfers are clear of clutter. I hear they are sourcing a no touch bin, but the one they have is easy to use for now, even if foot operated, it's lid lifts. Highly recommended to visit.
Kate: We meet every other Tuesday for MeNoPause group. Great sessions of dancing and chatting.
Persefoni Tzanaki: Fantastic place, great food and lovely staff. Everyone was so kind and polite and we had an amazing time! Coffee and food were awesome, full of flavour and a great variety! Barbara Leivang: Lovely food served by warm and friendly staff. Pleasant ambience. Highly recommend it :).
Laura Marsden: I did a street food workshop here with a group. It was such an enjoyable experience and excellent value - I would highly recommend booking one for a group activity with a bit of a difference.Chris was so friendly and patient delivering the workshop and he talked passionately about the cause. The food was delicious too. We made chicken or tofu satay skewers and Thai fried rice and we were then given chocolate brownie or orange and almond cake for dessert (which was an unexpected bonus!) We will definitely be back soon to sample the main menu. The setting is lovely, open and relaxed and would be perfect for families.
Mark P: We had a great Saturday night. I had a vegan pastilla which was really tasty. Between six of us we covered most of the menu (veggie and meat) and really enjoyed everything! Finished with a perfect affogato. Relaxed environment. Reasonable prices. A place that’s doing good too. What’s not to like? Keep up the great work!

The Silver Plate: what do users think?
Sarah Latif: Wow! We loved visiting today for Lunch, the food is just delicious, the fresh bread was such a nice touch and we loved the whole service- Our waiter Harley was so patient and professional, can’t recommend this experience enough! The value for money is amazing, proper top restaurant setting and food, can’t wait to be back!
Lball playz: The silver plate is a great place to go for a high standard meal. The staff are very polite and friendly. Open to answer any questions about the food and are very approachable. great experience overall.
Sean Stanley: No idea I'd been there must have been amazing. Thanks Google
Andy Mace: Very nice experience with good staff. The food however is nowhere near as good as 3 years ago. Christmas lunch was a disappointment, particularly the main course when no roast potatoes or boiled potatoes served. Went home hungry.
Theresa Fearnley: Thankyou so much for the lovely meal we had today, service, food everything was superb, very well reccommended
Kevin Allbones: Excellent food and great value for money!
Michael Barnes: Never even realised it is run by students as it is so professional
Paul Stead: Always great food and service
Betty Suttie: We attended the Acadamy Dinner last night and must say the food was absolutely amazing. The students did a exquisite meal and our lovely waiter Will was very pleasant, efficient and professional.
Rob Marston: Excellent cooking and staff
Erica Broadhurst: A wonderful meal by amazing staff who take care of every need. As it is run by college students, going there is also beneficial for them as it serves as work experience.
Guy Hudson: A excellent experience with wonderful food, well prepared and presented. Great customer service by the students and watched over by the tutors. The staff were especially outstanding and friendly, a real indictment for the teaching model of restaurant. Really good value with 3 courses for lunch being only 11 pounds a head. We brought our baby with us and found the restaurant to be baby friendly as well as breast feeding positive. The toilets were clean and well maintained and the whole of the restaurant is wheelchair accessible and friendly. It is a requirement to book and arrive as close to 12 midday as possible for the lunch but even with a rotating set silver service menu, I would heartily recommend the Silver Platter.
Lyuba Herbert: Excellent quality food. Most of the dishes are very inventive and a treat to the taste buds. The hospitality students who serve the tables are ever so nice and trying to achieve their best. The atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. Add to this the very competitive pricing. A visit to The Silver Plate is always a treat.
Jane Eaton: Beautiful meal last night thank you, guinea fowl, trout + chocolate torte, all for £22.50 bargain!
Heidi Lucas: Great food. Quality you’d expect from an expensive resultant but without that kind of price tag. Would recommend.

The Botanist Bar & Restaurant Sheffield: what do users think?
Alexandra KOHN: I would describe "The Botanist" as a hidden gem, literally. You first need to go up like 3 flights of stairs before entering the cute little restaurant that will only then reveal its magic. Right upon entry, warm and cozy lights welcome you just to lead you into a high ceiling room with lots of plants and trees. In the middle of the hall there is a pavilion that looks like those you could find in a movie. Overall, it's very homely and cozy. There is a nice selection of drinks and food, all very affordable. The food is tasty and the service fast and kind.Perfect place to meet up with friends or family if you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes there is also live entertainment, when I was there, they had someone singing and it made it all more magical.I truly recommend this place!!

Carlos Fiel: Had an absolutely wonderful time here while I was in Sheffield. My company visited from Canada and were looking for a fun place to either start our night or enjoy brunch, and this place filled every function. We celebrated team dinners here and also took our business partners here and it was lovely. Our server Summer was also an angel with a well versed knowledge of the menu and excellent service to make our experience memorable. We know we will have to return to Sheffield for business, but we'll be returning here next time we are in town too!
Elisa Donati: Such a beautiful place! The restaurant is an old school, completely renew with a botanic flavor (even the toilet ia beautiful). Will Aldred: Went out for a meal last night and the service was atrocious. We sat down at 8:30 and didn’t get asked for drinks for a good 40 minutes. 3 out of the 4 of us decided to have fish and chips and by the time the waitress came to us she told us they had none when she could have said when we sat down so it took another 30 min for a waitress to come back and ask for food. When the food came we didn’t have cutlery on the table. We asked for ketchup and got a little tub with two squirts in. No waitress asked how our meal was. We had to hunt down staff when we finished our meals for deserts as we didn’t get asked when our meals finished, also took about 20 mins for them to bring card machine. All in all the staff spend most of their shift in a corner chatting to eachover instead of servicing tables and very slow and lazy.
Jenny Dillon: Food and drinks were lovely, and we even got 2 free beers. We had 2 hanging kebabs and the portions weren’t huge, but were very nice. Interior is pretty, recommend for date nightRecommended dishes Hanging Kebabs …More
d a l t on: Came down from Liverpool and had a great evening, Summer was fantastic and extremely attentive with our service. Food was great also. Will be back againVegetarian options: Cauliflower wings and sweet potato hummus
Aaron Owen: The vegan selection board was nice, decent selection of items with a tasty salad and humus. Unfortunately the vegan burger was cremated, and the bread dense and stodgy. The vegan meatball kebab was well presentedbut lacked flavour and was essentially just meatballs and chips. Good service, nice drinks and atmosphere compensated well for what is poor food for the price.
Spangle McQueen: Such a gorgeous environment...and accessible :)Lovely food and great service.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

The Garrison Hotel, Guardhouse Bar and Restaurant: what do users think?
Cathy Barabas: I stayed here in April 2022 while on a solo holiday. The owners did a great job keeping the historical feel of the building. Staff were kind, courteous, and welcoming. Although some small updates could be made to it, the room was well kept and the bed was comfortable. The grounds were beautifully kept, making the courtyard a lovely oasis even though the A61 is just over 70 metres away, as the crow flies.I would definitely stay here again.
Thomas “LordTikTokUKOfficial” Lorimer: During my recent stay at The Garrison Hotel Sheffield, I had the opportunity to experience the hotel's amenities, including their food offerings and accommodations. While the hotel boasted some standout features, such as the remarkable food, there were areas that left something to be desired, particularly in terms of the dated room decor. Here is my honest review as a paying guest at The Garrison Hotel Sheffield.Food and Dining:One of the standout aspects of The Garrison Hotel was undoubtedly the food. The on-site restaurant offered a delectable array of dishes that exceeded my expectations. From breakfast to dinner, the menu showcased a variety of flavors, using locally sourced ingredients and presenting them with creativity and finesse. The quality and taste of the food were exceptional, and the attentive service from the staff further enhanced the dining experience. Whether it was the hearty breakfast options or the delectable evening meals, the food at The Garrison Hotel was a true highlight.Accommodations and Room Decor:While the food was a standout, I found the accommodations at The Garrison Hotel to be somewhat disappointing. The room I stayed in had a dated decor and furnishings that could benefit from a refresh. The overall ambiance lacked a modern touch, and the furniture showed signs of wear and tear. Although the room was clean and adequately equipped with essential amenities, the outdated aesthetic detracted from the overall experience. It would be wonderful to see The Garrison Hotel invest in refurbishing the rooms to match the quality of their food and dining experience.Staff and Service:The staff at The Garrison Hotel Sheffield were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. From the reception desk to the restaurant, the employees demonstrated professionalism and a willingness to assist with any requests or inquiries. They were knowledgeable about the local area, providing helpful recommendations for exploring Sheffield. The staff's attentiveness and warm demeanor contributed positively to the overall guest experience, and their efforts should be commended.Location:The Garrison Hotel's location in Sheffield was convenient, offering easy access to nearby attractions and transportation options. Situated in a historic building, the hotel exuded a unique charm, and the surrounding area provided a glimpse into Sheffield's rich heritage. Whether exploring the city's cultural landmarks or enjoying the nearby parks and gardens, guests would find plenty to see and do in the vicinity of The Garrison Hotel. Conclusion:In conclusion, The Garrison Hotel Sheffield offers a mixed experience for paying guests. While the food and dining experience were exceptional, with delectable dishes and attentive service, the dated room decor left much to be desired. The staff's professionalism and the hotel's convenient location were additional positives. I would recommend The Garrison Hotel to food enthusiasts who appreciate a remarkable dining experience, but for those seeking modern and updated accommodations, it may be worth considering other options in Sheffield.

Daniel Parkin: Our first time stay at The Garrison Hotel was great. The team where super friendly, the room clean and did on the whole what we wanted, breakfast was lovely and there was a nice bar area. (Only minor point was the room walls seemed super thin, as we could hear everything from next door through the night)Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Sian Hopkins-Smith: Be aware only first room has b&b but £8 was over priced for the options.Handy mcds next door.Morrisons store with garage oppositeComfy beds. Nice showerFree parkingBar has limited beer selectionSteep steps from bar to rooms (issue for 70 year old Father with mobility issues) was easier to walk down the hill into front lobby.Great location 2 mins walk to bus stop (no 86 gets you to Cruicible fyi) tram stop little further.Would stay again but the booking error didn't help from the start.
Kishor Kumar: Very nice location next to Morrison and McDonald's restaurant. Set in a lovely Victorian courtyard, the building is steeped in over 160 years of history, furthermore the original features have been restored and are a beacon for the era particularly with the turrets and ramparts within the grounds.Nearby activities: Morrison Supermarket and McDonald's restaurant next door.
GILLIAN Goldstraw: Lovely food in the restaurant, quick service and very friendly staff
Michael Friedrich: Room okayish although it could do with a makeover. (Who needs a bathtub anyway?) The bathroom taps are traditionally English outdated. The bed was small and uncomfy.Biggest disgrace was the breakfast. Got into the breakfast room at 9:05 and asked for some croissants to be restocked in the poor buffet. Answer was: 'No, we are closing.' Excuse me, there were still a good 50 minutes to go and croissants could not be restocked? Luckily, there were some slices of toast left and we got them before the next guests arrived (and had to wait long before it was restocked). Could have had 4 breakfasts there, but decided not to use this feature anymore after our first attempt.Parking is a nuisance as well. Only few parking spaces, so guests have to resort semi-legal parking.Cheers to the cleaners. They did a great job every day.Nearby activities: You can walk to the Hillsborough Stadium (about 15 mins).
