Jessica Barton: I would recommend this place to anyone. The decor is beautiful, the service is impeccable, the staff are super friendly and the food if absolutely amazing! The do very good coffee as well, I was so impressed ❤️ They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan option that do not compromise on taste too as well as plant based milk options with no extra cost
Ian: Called in for lunch whilst shopping in the city. Found via Google. Staff were amazing very friendly and attentive. Food and drinks arrived quickly. Food was really good. Coffee was good, could have done with a bigger mug for me tho, but I do love a big coffee. We will be back again.

Steve Cooke: The avocado on toast was very tasty but it was more ‘poached eggs on toast with avocado’; the avocado being a sort of ‘spread’ on the toast. Nonetheless, it was delicious. Our waiter, Bob, was very friendly, witty and welcoming. Will definitely be going back for more.
Richard Broxton: We decided to go out and explore some coffee shops for breakfast and came across this one. Amazing croissants, we had an almond and chocolate one, along with a flare white and a latte. All really very lovely, and I’m really fussy normally. Not to expensive either, as matched to similar coffee shops. Well worth the visit and the staff are very attentive and lovely / friendly. We’d go again

Anton Hecht: . It is an anti cafe. I am told in a near empty cafe that I only have an hour!!!! I also went there with a friend with a toddler and was made to sit by door and to feel very very unwelcome. I also went there in snow when everywhere shut and once again it near empty to be told when taking out laptop ‘it not a workspace’ and they’ll need the table in an hour. I work at the hallam and I ask all hallam people do not continue to assist this anti cafe ridiculous unfriendly and inhospitable business to continue. Honestly an empty cafe when you are told you have and hour is not a cafe.

SX L: This place has great reviews so we decided to try. When we arrived we were told we have to wait for an hour as the place is full. Don’t be fazed as it’s not that long. We grabbed a coffee and was seated when the coffee arrived. We ordered scrambled tofu and chilli crab. Was not as impressed by them and we weren’t full. Added on sweet potato fries which was great! Could tell it’s fresh and not frozen. Wasn’t sure why people said the coffee is to die for, though it was too bitter.
Miss Is: YOU HAVE TO BOOK A TABLE ESPECIALLY BEFORE 2PM. I couldn't see any signs outside to say this nor on Google review. Didn't think to check the website. Otherwise wouldn't have driven from far to check this place out. Arrived and was asked if we had a booking...which we didn't.Looking through to the seating area it was very busy, gloomy dark looking with hard wooden chairs. Instead we sat on the few seats available near the cashier coffee area. The wait was going to be 25mins without a booking so we had a coffee instead which was presented nice. Slightly bitter. Wouldn't come again sadly.

Amjad A: The quality of coffee there is unreal! It’s extremely good and the variety of desserts selections and sandwiches is amazing. Overall I like the service and the atmosphere of the coffee shop. Highly recommend it.
Tom Myerscough: Top class all-round experience. Spoke to a lovely lady about the sourcing, roasting and traceability of their coffee beans and the difference between their blends on offer. She was very helpful and knew all about their products which makes a nice change from the usual, impersonal service from large coffee shop chains. Delicious drinks and cake and even bought a bag of their own beans to brew at home. Was very pleased to see that the beans are traceable to the single farm on which they were grown, especially for likeminded coffee enthusiasts! Will definitely be returning when I’m next in Sheffield. Superb!
Oliver Gilbert: Excellent coffee, their Speciality Brazilian coffee had a nice flavour and all the drinks were well presented. Cortado was excellent. Atmosphere was nice and had a good vibe.

David: Great Service, Great Coffee! Only been a couple of times. The service is one of the best in town. So welcoming and friendly and even bought my coffee to the table. It can be difficult to get a seat once you do it’s cosy enough. Prices are higher than normal you get what you pay for. With everything go up theses days. Let’s hope this chain doesn’t keep raises prices. It may put customers off.

Psy Doc: I have been a regular customer. However lately the service seems to be slipping down. I visited the shop today and ordered a cup of tea. The man on the counter clearly seems distracted and as I waited for my tea, the lady waitress arrived with a small coffee. Once I advised her of the correct order, she asked me to go to the till and pay for the tea again, which I did. I then waited for almost ten minutes for the tea but it never arrived. There were hardly any customers in the coffee shop waiting for their order. I then noticed the lady making tea gossiping with the some people on the counter and not giving any attention to my order. I had to cancel my order walk away. Absolutely dismal service!

Andrew Rudolf: Another cafe / coffee shop worth a visit in and or near the city centre of Sheffield. Definitely has an interesting vibe and some clever interior seating design. Had a cake and flat white, both nicely done, so yeah will definitely visit again
PRATEEK GOEL: I really like the atmosphere at Hygge Cafe, good coffee, and nice interior. This is a good place to study or chill with friends. The drinks and foods were all tasty but limited menu options. If you’re up for a fresh place with beautiful ambience then this is a must to visit.

Hiba Al-Bahrani: The space is huge, they’re very welcoming of people to sit and work all day. The space also looks very cute and has lots of different types of seating arrangements. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre, the coffee is awful, and the music is so loud and annoying that it gets a bit hard to focus on your work Update: Came back to give it another chance. Got a cookie that looked and smelled fresh which was exciting, but unfortunately it was half burned and not at all soft. Feels a bit unacceptable to offer customers something that they probably wouldn’t want to eat themselves… Got a ‘blueberry muffin’ but upon eating it there was actually no blueberry inside. Just a bit disappointing that this place feels like it’s cutting corners. It’s a beautiful space and good work environment, but this just is annoying to spend money on.

Our coffee is a lot stronger then a lot of other coffee shops so maybe next time ask for a recommendation from our lovely staff as we are more then happy to help you out on what you may prefer taste wise. Daniel Mortensen: It's a very pleasant space that is nice to be in. The multiple staff weren't able to make food and drinks in an acceptable amount of time. My americano took 10 minutes to arrive despite there being no one in line when I arrived. There were multiple minutes with no one making coffee. All this at 8:30 am, right in the middle of the morning rush. Others in the cafe during my time also complained of waiting too long for seemingly simple orders (coffee and sandwiches). My impression was that there was little urgency among the staff during this time of long waits.

Young staff charged me £24 in error when I asked for 3 eggs (3 orders); but manager stepped in with refund.. not the way forward for a new look internet cafe. May Alhusari: Came in today to try some coffee beans that are different from my usual. Got a Burundi and was excited to dial it in. It was impossible to get a decent espresso! Had to go down to the finest grind level and the extraction was still off. I then swapped from single walled basket to double walled basket (keeping the same settings) and voila it worked which can only mean one thing! I then checked the date of roasting - almost 4 weeks! To be sold stale beans at £12.50 per 250g bag is extremely disappointing!

Duncan Philpott: Amazing speciality coffee brewed by incredibly knowledgeable staff! From espresso right through to filter the roasts are delicious and extracted to their best. A refined and tatsy food menu of breakfast and lunch items if you fancy something to eat.

Katie: Really cozy, low-key feel. I stayed for a study session and ordered the hot chocolate ☕ The playlist was really varied which I loved. The space is small but doesn't feel cramped. It has a nice little courtyard tucked away for outdoor seating. The tables had books about Sheffield and the hot coco was Bullion which really gave it a lovely local vibe. Little hidden gem 😊

Andy Turner: I hadn't been to the grind in age's, but very pleased to get a table, for a lovely breakfast, bacon sandwich for me. The coffee was excellent, the only slight hitch was they forgot our breakfast sandwiches, but after mentioning it, they apologised, brought us more coffees and breakfast sandwiches followed. I can't wait to go again, it was just as good as I remembered.

Luke Martin: Very disappointing. This place is entirely style over substance. It thinks its cooler than it is. We waited 20 minutes to be served good microwaved from a fridge which wasn't even consistently warm through. They forgot our coffee order and we had to ask again. The menu is confusing and poorly put together. The furniture was uncomfortable. They have high chairs but nothing on the menu suitable for kids.
