Sheffield Register Office: what do users think?

Tra N: Great! Extremely Smooth Short Process and very kind Lady who made the process easier for my child and I.
Survive The Wild: I'd give this service no stars if it was possible. After waiting for a telephone appointment that never happened I received a vague email telling me something I've already done. Then spent 45 minutes waiting to get through on the phone which was no help whatsoever. Why do you make is so different to get a death certificate at the worst time for people. Completely inadequate and not fit for purpose. And then the council has the cheek to rise tax.
Peter Mara: Went to get details for a Proof of Living certificate. Very efficient and friendly service. Knew exactly what I wanted. No unnecessary bureaucracy. Also very good service from First Point who pointed "no pun intended" in the right direction.
Katie Newcombe: Recently used Sheffield registry office. The staff were unbelievably helpful and polite. Thank you!
nicole pickford: Wow the only stressful thing about getting married is haveing to deal with sheffield register office. They think they can treat you like a child because you have nowhere else togo to get a licence.
Joel Braganza-Mendes: Really disappointed by the service offered here. For our wedding we used their online forms to try and book an appointment, this did not work and left us close to missing the required deadlines to be married. The process involves a telephone interview and then a face-to-face meeting the following day which is annoying if you have job that can't be interrupted whenever they feel like calling. We're now trying to register a birth for which I booked a phone call for 1 hour and 15 minutes ago, still haven't heard from them. Still a two meeting process.
Predica2salva HD: The service is horrible, they don't wanna help you. I have got my baby's birth certificate when he was 3 months so if you can pick a diferent place don't think twice about it.
Nichole Cawthorn: Sheffield council is so infuriating!
Emily Greenwood: Absolutely laughable. Sent off for marriage certificates 10 weeks ago, they have only just arrived. Office that processes them doesn't have a phone. They don't respond to emails. My husband finally managed to speak to someone, to be told they hadn't got our payment and that we needed to pay again. 10 mins later emailed him to say we had paid. Don't know their arse from their elbow, phoned them today and the lady I spoke to said she had no recollection of speaking to my husband, despite telling him a few days ago our certificates were marked as urgent! They "speak to a lot of people" apparently, avoid like the plague.
James Erswell: What do we pay council tax for? Because we cannot even get the basic services we pay for! Have they got staff to answer a phone?? Been waiting 1hour 20 minutes to find out where my childs birth certificate is 6 weeks after it was signed for! Cannot go into the office without an appointment, so what do we do?? Get your services sorted out!
Dayah: Trying to speak to a human in this department, is like getting blood out of a stone. Impossible...
Ahssad: Terrible. How in this day and age does it take 5 days to get back to someone via email. A very outdated booking system. Having more ceremonies in the register office is the solution, and one way to fix their backlog, but the team is too slow to react.
Alice Buck: After pointing out my dob was incorrect at my meeting to give notice of marriage, correcting the dat myself and initialling the date, they still uploaded the wrong date of birth onto the system. Resulting in the wrong date of birth on my marriage certificate and now saying it’s my responsibility and have to pay to correct.Actually scary that their job is to check your prescribed evidence for a legal document, which they don’t, then when pointed out information is incorrect they still don’t rectify it.
Jean Docherty: I ordered a certificate weeks ago and not received so I Tried to get into contact with the office for a death certificate without success then I had the idea of messaging them on messanger and got a reply. Either contact them through messanger or you can order one through the general register office, they was very helpful and my certificate is on its way. hope this helps :-)
Rebecca Pagdin: Does not even deserve a 1 star for the service they provide!Booked a registrar really easily in 2020 for a wedding in 2021 via the online system. Then had to postpone due to covid restrictions and our venue choosing not to hold any weddings. Trying to get hold of the registry office is near enough impossible and trying to make contact with an actual human being does not exist. Finally managed to change our date and got married 19.03.22 after weeks/months of emails but then no further confirmation or further instruction about what would happen at the ceremony etc. I hadn’t been married before so had no idea what to expect and it was only speaking to work colleagues I knew what to expect and what I should be receiving. After weeks of emails and a call that finally went through to someone to be told you will decide 15 minutes before you get married what is going to happen is disgusting and very destressing. There was a lot of unnecessary stress caused on the run up to wedding and now there has been a typing error on our marriage certificate and I cannot contact anyone. Sent email after email and finally spoke to someone from the council (not registry office) to be told it’s only via email. What a joke!Really quick to take your money but offer a disappointing service. Would not recommend at all using Sheffield city council.
Haleema Hussain: Applied for my wedding months ago online. Not heard anything with less than a month to go. Can't get through! Was on hold for nearly 1 hour and guess what.. They hung up on me!! Absolutely ridiculous.
Legendary Craft: perfect
Kelly: HORRIFIC!!!! an absolute joke. Been trying to call for 4 days - one of those days came to a total of 4hours on hold. UNREAL!! What sort of staff are employed here? the ringing noise does actually mean someone is on the other end of the phone! Paid a deposit for a registrar with no confirmation or anything. I've emailed twice - no response. Never been married before so I have no idea what steps are next.As I am typing this review (that doesn't deserve a 1 star) I have currently been on hold 2hours 15mins, lets see if I actually get through today!! (Get real, right?!)Sheffield Council - HIRE STAFF THAT KNOW HOW TO PICK UP THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!If only I read these reviews before booking a venue in Sheffield, i really wouldn't have bothered!!
Geraldine Mellor: Not even worth a one star but it won’t let you post unless you do.Been trying get the death certificate for my mum who sadly passed away 28th dec 2021. Rang. Emailed numerous times sat for 30-40 mins on phone each time to either get a snotty little nobody who has no consideration to the fact that I’ve lost my mum Or they cut you offThis is just not good enough. Not sure what the hell is going off in our so call Sheff councilAll I require is a certificate so we can move n sort out my mums estate there are very quick to say we owe them some oap pension back
Zoe Mumba: Very unresponsive.
sara smith: Registered my dad's death - the promised emails never arrived. Chased this after three working days, confirmed the correct email address and was assured that they would be resent. They have not. The register office are now single handedly responsible for holding up our ability to make arrangements.

Sheffield Wedding Celebrant: what do users think?

Trisha Laycock: Absolutely amazing celebrant! So many things had to be changed last minute and she took it all in her stride. She kept me calm in the days before the wedding and we were so relaxed throughout the ceremony and had so many compliments from our guests. Her script was personal, relaxed, funny and I cannot think of anything else Becky could have improved on for our wedding. Highly recommend.

Cara Jones: Becky was fab right from our first meeting, we felt relaxed and at ease. She helped us create our day how we wanted it. The script was personal and had funny moments, again just how we wanted it! Highly recommend.

Maureen Beirne: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueThankyou so much Rebecca from Michelangelo and Maureen and our family for making our day so special. Its was very memorable occasion for us all xx Highly recommended

Wortley Hall: what do users think?

William Holgate: We stayed at the small caravan site in the grounds of Wortley Hall. There are only 5 pitches, all well serviced and maintained. The facilities are the best I have encountered with excellent showers. The grounds are beautiful and the bar does good food, including gluten free options. Highly recommended

Yvonne Bamforth: I attended my daughters wedding reception yesterday 13th August, and I can honestly say it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were so welcoming and hard working. The venue is second to none and the meal was faultless. It was so tasty and cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone.

Colleen Pollard: Had afternoon today and it was really enjoyable. The young waitress was pleasant and helpful, freshly made sandwiches and scones and the selection of cakes were all tasty. Shall definitely return

glenis barwick: My family have been going all our lives. Our Grandparents were involved with Wortley. We are never disappointed. The South Yorkshire show was brilliant. Thank you everyone for always going over and above for us.

Ian Lines: Have had numerous afternoon teas over the years at a variety of establishments. Most have had one thing in common, they all seemed to have overloaded on the cake selection. Wortley Hall, in my opinion had it about right. Left feeling full but not bloated. Sat in a nice warm but airy, sunlit wood panelled room. There was about 7/8 tables in the room and only 1 other was occupied. Nice quiet and relaxing.
Lucy Mackie: We had our wedding here in April and the grounds, hall and staff are excellent! We had great communication with the venue before and during the wedding...everything went perfectly (shout out to Chloe and Claire!) We are so glad we got married here...the rooms are stunning and so full of character and history. Also...the food served during the wedding and the morning after were excellent. Loads of guests commented on how great the food was. Can't recommend enough!
Chris Coward: We rented one of the cottages. Lovely place, great history and very relaxingHotel highlights Great view, Quiet …More
Elaine Rawson: Had a lovely Sunday roast sat in roomy elegant surroundings. Followed by coffee on the lawn. Then a nice stroll around the grounds in beautiful sunny weather. just perfect.Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet, Great value …More
jerry adsett: Beautiful Country House set in a fantastic location, excellent service and the ABBA night was an absolute pleasure.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
COLIN BARKLEY: Lovely big stately home but it is in need of restoration some areas are very shabby and falling apartRooms: Our room had a large area of damp and needed decorating but it was a very large room with a 4 poster bed
David Roy: Room old and run down
candace Clarke: Spent the night following a birthday hike in the Peak District. They were kind enough to upgrade our room as they had two wedding parties on site site the time. We were put in the atic room. It was absolutely gorgeous. Beautifully clean. The beams were gorgeous. The bathroom was clean and modern with a huge tub. It felt like we were in a quite little place of our own. We didnt hear the wedding going on at all. The dinner was beautiful and breakfast was quite a spread. Hotel staff were attentive enough without being irritating. Thank you so much for helping me celebrate a birthday with style.
Adrien Galle: Amazing place! The manson is wonderful, it's a very old building full of history and a beautiful garden. The new rooms are awesome! Thanks to the staff for giving us the chance to stay in one of them. Can't wait to see the place fully redecorated! The Breakfast was also pretty decent.PS : We had the 55 which was absolutely incredible but couldn't find a way to turn the corridor's lights off during the night. It would be great to turn them off after a certain hour or arrange the door to avoid light to come in.
Sharron Hill: I visit Wortley Hall regularly and love it. A relaxing place to enjoy Sunday lunch, a cream tea or simply a drink in the gorgeous gardens.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Carole Shaw/Sandground: Iconic old stately home, turned Union venue, now catering for weddings, conferences etc. In beautiful surroundings near SheffieldHotel highlights Great view, Romantic, Quiet …More
Dan Price: Superb setting. Beautiful place.
PETER DILLINGHAM: Lovely Afternoon Tea.Would highly recommend.
jan kubic: Będąc tam miło
jocelyn russell: Set in beautiful surroundings we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Couldn’t fault the friendly service. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The only reason for my 4 star for the room was that the mattress was too firm for me and that’s just my personal preference. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Very well set out, great choices including fresh fruit instead of the often seen frozen or tinned fruit. The cooked breakfast was also super. Highly recommend this place.Food & drinks: They have a nice restaurant and there is a nice pub up the road.

The Chimney House: what do users think?

Jane Axell: Attended a wedding here. So lucky to get a beautiful sunny day. I loved the red brick of the Chimney House and the interior design was subtle, stylish and well thought out. We had to climb some steep stairs to the wedding room.

Dave Smithers: Lovely venue for a wedding in the grounds of the kelham island museum , close to the famous fat cat pub , staff are very attentive and the old industrial feel of the building only lends itself to the ambience of this space ,

Emily Kay: From the minute I saw photos of the Chimney House, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. I love the industrial look it has and how it offered an intimate, but relaxed feeling to our ceremony. The location is great for photos and for guests to get a quick drink beforehand. The staff are so professional and generally just lovely to interact with. I would not think twice about promoting it to others!

clare plant: Fabulous venue, we had our Christmas party here in December 2022. A great experience from start to finish, welcome cocktails, a delicious meal, friendly attentive but not overbearing staff. Only neutral feedback was to get a few more roast potatoes but only because they were so tasty! We will be back

Paul Joseph Photography: We have not had the chance to say how amazing The Chimney House Venue is. We shot a gorgeous wedding back in 2017. The venue looked amazing, the staff and the food were also fantastic. We do hope we can return again one day soon.

Joseph Tomkins: We couldn’t have picked a better venue. Cosy and intimate, perfect for a smaller ceremony with close friends and family. We let the venue organise flowers, and we matched them (from Moss and Clover Kelham), the food was amazing and the service on the day was great. Lucy was so accommodating moving our date around due to the pandemic and made everything so stress free, thank you all again so much - highly recommended!

Chloe McMackin: Had a fantastic event here for my 30th birthday. The staff were really helpful and organised in the run up, and on the night. The food was delicious and everyone commented on what a lovely and unique setting it was. It was definitely a memorable evening!
Lee Calcutt-Scott: The Chimney House is a beautiful venue with an industrial style in lovely surroundings, it's perfect for a small wedding and we had an awesome day. The staff were brilliant and attentive. The food was fantastic and all our guests raved about it. It's not perfect however. There's no AC, so I wouldn't recommend a summer wedding. It was around 19c when we got married in September and I was wearing a 3 peice suit, it was not comfortable. Even with the windows open, all our guests, including my now wife, were commenting on it being too hot inside the venue. I was dripping with sweat by the end of the ceremony!I would have also liked the food to be hotter. While it was really fantastic food, it was tepid. It was not cooked on site, but should've been served on a bain-marie or similar, to keep it warm. The desserts though, were delicious, all our guests loved the basque cheesecake. The biggest downside was the amount of food wasted. We hoped to take the leftovers home, as there was quite a lot. Unfortunately the T&Cs state that we were not allowed to take the leftovers home. Please read the T&Cs thoroughly, as we did not, our fault. I hope all that food wasn't just thrown away, such a waste of lovely food!Overall, we did have an amazing day and I'm glad we chose The Chimney House. Don't let my negative comments put you off. I'm just giving an honest account but wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue.
Tania Umoh: Beautiful venue, with very delicious food!
Elaine Balfry: Amazing food, attentive service, beautifully decorated venue to suit the occasion.
Dave Smithers: Lovely venue for a wedding in the grounds of the kelham island museum , close to the famous fat cat pub , staff are very attentive and the old industrial feel of the building only lends itself to the ambience of this space ,
Joseph Tomkins: We couldn’t have picked a better venue. Daniel Jackson: Great place for a meeting. Location is spot on if you wanted a pint after. Unfortunately due to covid that was not possible 😭
ben ashton: This is an amazing venue for a wedding Ceremony. Me and my wife cannot thank the staff enough for making it a memorable day! every guest loved the venue. Thank you for great memories!!!
Grace Thomas: A wonderful evening, food amazing, service brilliant and ambience just right.
Philip Bradley: amazing space. very well thought out
Jordan Gor: I can't speak highly enough of this venue and the wonderful staff that run it! Kirstin was super helpful from the outset, making the whole booking and planning process super easy and straightforward for our wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and well kept, making the perfect backdrop for any event - minimal decoration required in this stunning building. We were looked after so well on the day by Kirstin and Hannah that so many of our guests commented on the great service. We left the evening feeling so grateful that they had gone above and beyond to look after us and make the day so special for us; setting it up perfectly and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. Thank you, The Chimney House, for such a wonderful day!
Caroline Thorpe: HiThankyou for a lovely evening at your venue where we were celebrating our niece's wedding.Your staff Kirsten and Hannah were excellent and went above and beyond to make sure we well looked after. We are not from Sheffield but if we were we would certainly recommend you to our friends and familyThank you againKind regardsCaroline Thorpe
Richard Sedgley: This was my first visit to The Chimney House and we'll be going back.We chose to have our office Christmas party here and we were not disappointed. All of the food was great; with every course the staff explained what was what. All the food was served on platters to the centre of the table. For want of a better term, it was a posh buffet but don't let that take away from how good it was.The venue asked us to supply our drinks and they chilled and served them for us. This seemed to work well & we were never wanting for service. All staff where polite & friendly. We couldn't have asked for more. We'll be going back!
Ian&Lisa: The venue is fit for purpose but nothing special, plus it has no parking, hence 3 stars.
Tom Barney: The Chimney House was recommended to me as a meeting place by a former colleague, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s an incredible space and benefits from an excellent location in Kelham Island. (Not just for post meeting drinks!)From making the initial enquiry, Kirstin was a joy to deal with. She made it very clear that nothing was too much work and really went the extra mile by sourcing (and personally icing) birthday cakes for two of our team. Whilst I’m on the subject, the food was excellent and the flexibility that we were allowed around timings was greatly appreciated. The team looked after us superbly, ensuring that we wanted for nothing. I look forward to the next opportunity to come to the Chimney House and will be recommending it to friends and colleagues alike.
Fiona Cooper: Gorgeous venue, in a beautiful setting with the most friendly staff. Would recommend this place a hundred times over!
J C: Last Sunday (26th May 2013) our family and friends shared a brilliant afternoon celebrating with us our 50th wedding anniversary at The Chimney House. We have nothing but praise for the venue as everything; the ambiance, the food, the staff, were excellent. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, a day to remember.A very big thank you to ALL the staff.

gary thomas: Gorgeous venue for our daughter's wedding 2022.
John Foster: Lovely wedding venue
matthew justice: Amazing
Alison Keeton: Didn't like itWedding venue hunting with my daughterDated and even though set in beautiful grounds does need a bit of TLC
Jack Hill: Very nice venue for a small intimate wedding. Wheelchair acsessible but a struggle to get around when full
Andreea Crucianu: Magical place to have a wedding in Sheffield
Ibby Khan: Beautiful place for a walk with lovely scenery
Teresa Powell: Stunning hotel and venue. Shame the driveway wasn’t cleared by owners as some of the planned activities weren’t able to get up it.
Margaret Blank: Our daughter gets married there this Summer. The beauty of the place speaks for itself but I can't speak highly enough of the staff and the service they offer. Very happy with everything so far.
Sharon Trees Photography: Amazing wedding venue! Beautiful building, gorgeous grounds and fantastic staff. One of the best wedding venues in Sheffield.
Firas Sharefy: Wonderful place, nice gentle walk, nice view.
River Xavier: Beautiful, stately wedding venue!
Jill Evans: Beautiful building, had a work do there, sadly due to the nature of this beautiful building it was freezing cold. If you visit wrap up
So So: Nice place for ceremonies especially in winter
Steve E: Lovely wedding venue, beautiful grounds, staff were excellent.
Andrew Rapinet: Nice setting, but food was only okay
Lottie: From start to finish, the team at Whirlow were responsive, friendly and organised. Any issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently. We can’t imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. Thank you massively to all the team who made our big day so special ❤️ The gardens are beautiful for photos and the cocktail hour outside was perfect
Thomas Brooks: We have just had our wedding at this venue,It's a stunning venue decorated with Jaqueline's help (style with style) and we had the perfect day.Lucy & Jaqueline were very helpful from start to finish, they always responded to our queries and no issue was too big or too small. On the day the full team were fantastic and went above and beyond for us, showing their knowledge and elevating our wedding.Note: we had quite an awful experience with Kenwood hall, so would recommend you check the reviews before booking with them.
Colin Wilson: Great place for a wedding 😊
Judith Wardell: Had a wonderful meal well cooked and well presented and the staff were excellent. The only downside was the price of the drinks at the bar, realise businesses need to make a profit but 2 pints of beer and a glass of wine cost me almost £19 for 3 drinks I couldn't help but feel I had been ripped off , I was not alone in thinking that the drinks were way overpriced .

Acorn 2 Oak Ceremonies: what do users think?
Hannah F-L: We initially stopped on David’s profile as he came across down to earth, friendly and clearly someone who loves his job. That’s exactly how David came across in person too! He’s warm, professional and made such a beautiful bespoke ceremony for us. We felt he really “got us” straight away. David is engaging, relaxed and brought everything we were looking for in a celebrant.Thank you David Xx
Rob Kirk: From the first meeting to the big day, David was excellent. He asked questions to get to know us and our story, and crafted a wonderful service for us, even playing the music we requested and cueing them up perfectly. We couldn't be more happy with David, and had many comments from our wedding guests as to what a wonderful service it was. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
Chelsea Tilbury: We chose David as our wedding celebrant because on first meeting, he was very friendly, professional and thorough. What's so lovely about David's celebrant service, is that he really cares about every detail of your love story, and begins your marriage ceremony by telling this story to your guests. He also offers advice and help with writing your personalised wedding vows. He also provides you with a beautiful printed booklet of the content of your marriage service after your wedding (this is lovely to look through afterwards). I would definitely recommend David to couples who need a wedding celebrant because I know they'd be in good hands - he leaves no stone unturned in planning your perfect ceremony.
Emma Tyler: We didn't know much about celebrant led weddings until we found David, it was a really interesting coincidence when I came across his website as I recognised his face and realised that he was one of my teachers from secondary school several years ago! I saw this as a sign and decided he had to be the one to marry us! David was great right from the first contact, we had a meeting at our venue (my Mum's farm) and he was extremely informative (just like I remember) and everything sounded great so we booked in. A few months before the wedding we had a zoom meeting to go through our love story so that David could write a bespoke ceremony for us, which on our wedding day did not disappoint! We were completely blown away with the amount of thought that went into the beautiful words. We had many compliments throughout the day about how touching and special it was.He is fantastic at what he does and spends so much time getting to know you as a couple in order to provide a personal experience. We chose the hand fasting ritual to be performed with our daughter which was such a lovely touch. Thank you so much David x
Amma Milburn: We had a great feeling about David from the first conversation we had with him. David was very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and responsive in the lead up to our wedding. On top of all that, he offered a very fair and competitive price for his services. David personalised our ceremony to exactly what we wanted. He was also able to guide us and inform us whenever we had questions or were unsure about what options to choose for our ceremony. Many of our guests commented on how unique, engaging and beautiful our ceremony was. We would highly recommend David to anyone for their special day.
Cris CCha: We would like to thank David for being our Celebrant on our Wedding, which was on August 2022. It was really lovely to work with him, and he got every detail that we wanted on our big day. One detail that amazed all of our guests, was that he spoke our languages and we all feel included. We would really recommend David as a Celebrant to anyone, and surely we would request his services again if we have another event.
Jack Parker: We’re back from our mini-moon and unfortunately settled back into working life now!I just wanted to reach out and say a massive thank you for being the celebrant on our wedding day.I cannot tell you the amount of people who said it was the best ceremony they’d witnessed – it was so personal, fun and a bit different which is exactly what we wanted. Our guests said they loved the story of how we met, how I ‘bombed’ the ring and the way that we had described each other to you. Some of our guests weren’t aware of our full story so felt they had learned more about us during the ceremony. You specifically were amazing, you really put everyone including me and Jack at ease and we genuinely both had a really great time during the ceremony. You were a really confident and friendly speaker and had great control of the room. The ceremony was really fun and light, and didn’t feel stuffy which often legal ceremonies can feel like. It really set the tone for the rest of the day which was great. We loved every second and are disappointed we can’t do it every year! We absolutely feel like the ceremony you did for us was our ‘real’ wedding and our legal ceremony last year was just a formality. The hand-tying was our favourite bit which is interesting considering I was a bit sceptical at first. It really made our ceremony stand out as different and special. Two of our guests are engaged and have now said they want to do a hand-tying as well because they’re non-religious and absolutely loved the symbolism of it. I have said I will pass on your details to them when they get round to setting a date 🙂Thank you so much again, it genuinely was the best day of our lives and your work as a celebrant definitely contributed hugely towards that. We loved the whole process and it was nice feeling like we already knew you well once it came to the day as we’d had spoken at length in the weeks beforehand. When we got legally married last year, we met the registrar about five minutes before the ceremony started so it wasn’t anywhere near as personal or special.
The Beenans: We could not recommend David enough! He enabled us to have the most perfect day with our service being held by the river. We spoke to David a couple of months before the event for him to get to know us better so that the service was tailored to us and on the day everything was just perfect. It was exactly what we wanted, a laid back and personal service that was fun and relaxed! If we could give more than 5 stars we would!
Natalie Mcewan: David performed our ceremony just under two weeks ago now and we would highly recommend. Lovely service, we originally wanted a very traditional wedding but opted for an added hand fasting ritual, that personally none of us had ever heard of. David suggested including our children in this and it was the most beautiful touch and couldn’t have been more perfect. Communication was great, he made sure every tiny detail was accounted for and was very reassuring just before the ceremony to calm our nerves. We also received a lovely handmade script just under a week later that was the perfect end to our wedding bubble. Thank you so much David
Ciara Yosef: We can’t say enough good things about David and the amazing job he did as our celebrant. With such short notice he worked wonders! We had several video calls and phone calls for him to get to know us as a couple and all of that meant the world to us. He put together a beautiful ceremony that was tasteful, elegant and even had unique traditions, that we wanted, wound within it. We had so many friends and family compliment us on the ceremony. We even got a printed copy of our ceremony delivered all the way to us in the U.S.! David knows how to make your day very special. He is fabulous! Highly, highly recommend.
Bethany: David performed our wedding ceremony at the end of November 2021 and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other couples. He was very professional during every step of the process, and in the chaos of wedding planning, we knew that the ceremony side of things was completely under control. We had wonderful correspondence over Zoom which resulted in a really personal and heartfelt ceremony. On the day, David dug his car out of the snow to make it to us during Storm Arwen! He talks to all your guests before and after the ceremony whilst you and your partner are busy with other bits and our family and friends had wonderful things to say about him.
Jessica Breedt: David was absolutely fantastic from the moment we had our first introductory call all the way to our big day! Numerous guests at our wedding commented that it was the most personal and beautiful wedding they had ever been to. The ceremony was everything we had dreamed of and more. David is extremely knowledgeable and helped us to create a truly personal and special ceremony. Our love story that David wrote was beautiful and heartfelt, gathered from our calls over zoom and showed the amount of time and dedication David puts into not only getting our day right, but getting to know us and understanding our past and what makes us who we are as people. We opted to have sand-blending, hand-fasting and candle lighting. The way that the ceremony flowed and tied together was wonderful. He helped to make our special day even more perfect than we could have ever imagined and went over and above for us which was just fantastic. The oak sapling was just the cherry on the cake and such a special gift from David on our day. If you are considering using David for any service, I would highly recommend him… you will not find a more likable and personable person to deliver exactly what it is you are after, even if you are not quite sure exactly what you want yet! Truly, the perfect celebrant, always professional and has a true passion for what he does which shines through! Thank you once again David. You made our day truly unforgettable!
Jason Golden: David truly went above and beyond for our ceremony! He met with us via video chat to discuss ourselves and story, which allowed him to create a unique story to be told to our Guests at the wedding. We felt comfortable with him and really made our small wedding feel unique and special, which is exactly what we wanted. Part of our story involved "love trees", which is a way to describe two different trees growing so close to each other, they become entwined. As a present, he gave us a couple of small trees in the same pot to be planted with the hopes that they become entwined as well. It was completely unexpected and we loved it so much. Without a doubt, David provided us with 5-star treatment and we recommend him so very highly to anyone looking for a celebrant. We hired him as a wedding celebrant, but he does so many other celebrations. Thank you, David! J&G
Matt Inman: We’re so glad we picked David as our wedding celebrant! From start to finish he made the process of writing vows really simple and easy. He did a fantastic job of retelling our love story and gave us an incredibly personalised, special wedding ceremony.Would highly recommend David if you want a personalised ceremony.Becca and Matt
Fred De Bois: David acted as our celebrant in Cheshire in August. We are so pleased to have chosen David, as his exceptional and personal ceremony blew us and our guests away. It really set the perfect tone for the day and we had multiple compliments from family and friends at how excellent the ceremony was. Being married by a celebrant ended up being an excellent choice as David performed a ceremony that was really personal to us, and it also helped when the bride arrived 20 minutes late as we knew he didn’t need to run off. David was extremely professional in the lead up to the wedding and also stayed around after the ceremony to chat to guests. Definitely 5/5 and would highly recommend David if he is available for your event.
J Stone: David was brilliant, and we owe our perfect day to him. We have been told by numerous guests that it was the most personal and beautiful wedding they had ever been to. The ceremony was everything we had dreamed of and more. Unfortunately, due to covid, we could not meet up in person prior to our ceremony and instead communicated through zoom calls. David is extremely knowledgeable and helped us to create a truly personal and special ceremony with his experience and understanding, whilst also letting us take control wherever we wanted. We wanted our 3 children involved and David made sure that they were included throughout the whole ceremony while also telling our individual love story. Even when our 2 year old decided to do his own thing, David tied this into the ceremony and made sure that our guests felt fully involved as we had wished. Our love story, written by David and a complete surprise to my wife was beautiful, gathered from our calls over zoom and showed the amount of time and dedication David put into not only getting our day right, but understanding our past and what makes us who we are as people. We opted to have sand-blending, hand-fasting and tree-planting and David's idea to have tags for the guests to write notes and wishes for our future to hang on the tree was brilliant. We now have many notes that will last us a lifetime and can be looked back on to remember our day. The way that the ceremony flowed and tied together was wonderful, and is testament to the knowledge that David has surrounding the history of marriage and the many rituals from various cultures in the bringing together of two people in matrimony. He helped to make what should be a perfect day even more perfect than we could have ever imagined. If you are considering using David for any service, I would urge you to do so... you will not find a more likeable and personable person to deliver exactly what it is you are after, even if you are not quite sure exactly what you want yet! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would, and that sentiment is echoed by all of our guests. Truly, the perfect celebrant.
Chantelle D: I cannot describe how amazing our ceremony was, David made it so unique and personal to us and our beautiful children, they were involved every step of the way which made it so special. Nothing was to much trouble for David and he was always at the end of the phone if you needed him. I highly recommend David as a celebrant, it is such a 1 of a kind experience and a day everyone will remember. So thank you David for everything..Mrs Stone :)
Natalie Lynch: David performed our wedding ceremony on Saturday and I honestly can't speak highly enough of how perfect it was! The words he chose for us are an accurate representation of our relationship and our love. All of our guests laughed and cried at it and we had so many comments saying it was the best and most personal wedding ceremony they had ever been to. If you're looking for a celebrant, David is the guy for you. Thank you so much 💓
Raven Healey: David was absolutely wonderful to work with for my wedding! Nothing was too much trouble and he could not have been more helpful and flexible in the run up to the day. It was such a reassurance to know everything was in hand with David. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, with all our guests commenting on how lovely it was! I couldn't recommend David enough!
Roy Sayles: I am very happy to recommend David as a professional Celebrant. We used him for my brother's funeral in September 2020 and I am very pleased we did. We had a pre-funeral meeting to discuss the details, he was sensitive, professional and knowledgeable about the options and choices we could make. He communicated well prior to the funeral regarding music choices and readings and delivered the funeral service with great dignity and clarity. He clearly has strong public speaking skills and I have no doubts that he could deliver any service with great professionalism. I don't feel that I could have made a better choice of celebrant.
S L BEKO: Having never organised a funeral before ,it was very fortunate that David was at hand to help me .I cannot think of enough superlatives to describe how professional, patient and empathetic David was.Grief and decision making don't always compliment each other but David helped me navigate what would have been a very difficult path.Steve , London
