Karen Proctor: Small wedding venue with beautiful gardens. The interior could do with some character as most of the period features have been removed. Good wedding breakfast and service.

Tom Hendry: Whirlowbrook hall was a fantastic wedding venue from start to finish. Arranging the wedding we had really great communication from Emma, Jacqueline and Lucy, with really quick responses to our many little questions. On the day itself, Emma was brilliant throughout the whole morning, the venue was set up perfectly how we asked with all the small touches being done without any fuss. In the afternoon, Tom took over as master of ceremonies and nothing was too much trouble for him, he was truly brilliant and made our day flow faultlessly. The building and gardens themselves are spectacular, and every guest commented how beautiful the surroundings were. We would both say that Whirlowbrook hall was incredible value for money, and we felt like we got a bargain for our special day.
Surrey Blade: Had a wonderful Wedding party here after a 2 year delay. Lucy White was excellent throughout the process while Emma and Tom provided great support on the day. The venue, with its glorious gardens, is gorgeous, especially when the sun shines. Highly recommended.

Thomas Brooks: We have just had our wedding at this venue,It's a stunning venue decorated with Jaqueline's help (style with style) and we had the perfect day.Lucy & Jaqueline were very helpful from start to finish, they always responded to our queries and no issue was too big or too small.On the day the full team were fantastic and went above and beyond for us, showing their knowledge and elevating our wedding.Note: we had quite an awful experience with Kenwood hall, so would recommend you check the reviews before booking with them.

Jane Axell: Attended a wedding here. So lucky to get a beautiful sunny day. I loved the red brick of the Chimney House and the interior design was subtle, stylish and well thought out. We had to climb some steep stairs to the wedding room.

I love the industrial look it has and how it offered an intimate, but relaxed feeling to our ceremony. The location is great for photos and for guests to get a quick drink beforehand. The staff are so professional and generally just lovely to interact with. I would not think twice about promoting it to others!

We let the venue organise flowers, and we matched them (from Moss and Clover Kelham), the food was amazing and the service on the day was great. Lucy was so accommodating moving our date around due to the pandemic and made everything so stress free, thank you all again so much - highly recommended!

Lee Calcutt-Scott: The Chimney House is a beautiful venue with an industrial style in lovely surroundings, it's perfect for a small wedding and we had an awesome day. The staff were brilliant and attentive. The food was fantastic and all our guests raved about it. It's not perfect however. There's no AC, so I wouldn't recommend a summer wedding. It was around 19c when we got married in September and I was wearing a 3 peice suit, it was not comfortable. Even with the windows open, all our guests, including my now wife, were commenting on it being too hot inside the venue. I was dripping with sweat by the end of the ceremony!I would have also liked the food to be hotter. While it was really fantastic food, it was tepid. It was not cooked on site, but should've been served on a bain-marie or similar, to keep it warm. The desserts though, were delicious, all our guests loved the basque cheesecake.The biggest downside was the amount of food wasted. We hoped to take the leftovers home, as there was quite a lot. Unfortunately the T&Cs state that we were not allowed to take the leftovers home. Please read the T&Cs thoroughly, as we did not, our fault. I hope all that food wasn't just thrown away, such a waste of lovely food!Overall, we did have an amazing day and I'm glad we chose The Chimney House. Don't let my negative comments put you off. I'm just giving an honest account but wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue.

Kirstin was super helpful from the outset, making the whole booking and planning process super easy and straightforward for our wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and well kept, making the perfect backdrop for any event - minimal decoration required in this stunning building. We were looked after so well on the day by Kirstin and Hannah that so many of our guests commented on the great service. We left the evening feeling so grateful that they had gone above and beyond to look after us and make the day so special for us; setting it up perfectly and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. Richard Sedgley: This was my first visit to The Chimney House and we'll be going back.We chose to have our office Christmas party here and we were not disappointed. All of the food was great; with every course the staff explained what was what. All the food was served on platters to the centre of the table. For want of a better term, it was a posh buffet but don't let that take away from how good it was.The venue asked us to supply our drinks and they chilled and served them for us. This seemed to work well & we were never wanting for service.All staff where polite & friendly. We couldn't have asked for more.We'll be going back!

Tom Barney: The Chimney House was recommended to me as a meeting place by a former colleague, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s an incredible space and benefits from an excellent location in Kelham Island. (Not just for post meeting drinks!)From making the initial enquiry, Kirstin was a joy to deal with. She made it very clear that nothing was too much work and really went the extra mile by sourcing (and personally icing) birthday cakes for two of our team. Whilst I’m on the subject, the food was excellent and the flexibility that we were allowed around timings was greatly appreciated.The team looked after us superbly, ensuring that we wanted for nothing. I look forward to the next opportunity to come to the Chimney House and will be recommending it to friends and colleagues alike.

Nadine Wynter: We had an amazing time last night celebrating our families being together: 85 people including children attended a family party at this beautiful venue. Tim and Amanda were fantastic and provided excellent customer service from the initial booking right through to the end of the party. Even though I was using my own caterers, venue decorator and DJ they supported me all the way. Their helpful suggestions about the layout of the room, seating arrangements and serving of the Caribbean buffet proved to be valuable on the night of the party. On the night of the party whilst the staff were in attendance, we hardly noticed them and when we did they were always attentive and courteous. Work with the staff and they will work with you. I would definitely recommend this venue and I will definitely be using this venue again.

Aylish Brady: We had the most perfect wedding day at The Old Rectory. Our original venue cancelled on us with less than 6 months to the wedding and I am now glad they did as Dharby at the Old Rectory was so helpful and paid such attention to detail that our wedding was even better than we expected. The venue is gorgeous and looked even more stunning in the sun. All the staff were very attentive and friendly and we just had the best day from start to finish. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced wedding venue in a private and scenic setting which can hold a large wedding party then The Old Rectory is perfect. Thank you so much for making our wedding day so memorable for all the right reasons!

From the backdrops to the table presentation to the light up love letters and the little extras for our guests to enjoy - it was beautiful from start to finish. Communication was great and she made sure we knew exactly what we were getting and what was happening. So glad that she was able to decorate our wedding reception and can’t recommend enough!!

MCEP Home: We contracted Sarah to take care of the decoration for our wedding in August 2022 at Kenwood Hall. We had little to no knowledge of what we wanted and how it would work on the day. Sarah has been very responsive to our multiple inquiries, she has made time to see us face to face to go through everything in details. The rooms were so beautifully decorated on our wedding day. Her team took care of everything (as we had 2 different rooms, were some decorations/chairs etc.. needed moving) in a very efficient manner. We can only praise those cherished moments and Sarah for the amazing work they have done pre and on our wedding day. Definitely recommend them !! Thanks Sarah, we and our guests were blown away by the beautiful decoration !

Bernadette Crabtree: Wow! Where do we even start! We booked with Sarah and the team way back in 2020 when everyone was unsure of everything going on. We knew there was a chance we would have to rearrange and Sarah assured us that she would work with us to ensure she was still available but fortunately for us, this was not the case. I emailed Sarah with exactly what I wanted and what my budget was and she came back with a price, it was a very reasonable price but slightly out of our budget but we then negotiated a payment plan which made me so relieved as the wedding was 2 years away, this was something we could commit to. Sarah was a recommended stylist with our venue, Wortley Hall and I had seen what Sarah and her team could do so I was not going anywhere else! I became a little bit of a pain adding and removing bits and bobs to our order, but Sarah was very understanding. When the big day finally started to creep round, Sarah and her team kept me well informed and went through every last detail with us. Once the day arrived, I saw Sarah on site and nothing was too much for her. She even offered to help us with our own DIY decor that we had decided to do ourselves. We had a slight issue with a stage skirt but Sarah came and rectified that the minute she was notified (I spied you walking past the dining room haha!). The venue looked outstanding, and I was more than pleased when I saw everything. The compliments we got on the lighting and the tree canopies were amazing! It makes me want to do it all again just so Sarah and her team can dress the venue again! Thank you so much for all your efforts Sarah (And the team) We could not have been happier. I will definitely recommend you and once the photos of our dressed venue have made it to us, I will add them.

Nik was hosting the day, the personal touches such as getting me a drink when I spoke to the registrar as well as ensuring the guests were happy and settled was what made our experience perfect. We had a great day the weather was amazing, the street in front was quiet and we were able to get all the pictures we needed. The beautiful addition of the plant wall was the perfect back drop on entry to the building. The communication before and after our day was perfect. The most memorable location for a perfect wedding

Jon and Nik were great, making sure we had the day we wanted and chance to sort the venue beforehand. We really liked that there was clear pricing and not lots of extras tried to be sold to us, which was important to us as we just wanted a relaxed and enjoyable day, which is what we got. My wife and I recently held our wedding party (drinks, food, live music) for ~70 guests at 99MS and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.Nik & Jon said yes to everything we - or any of our suppliers - asked of them, although the space itself is already close to perfection so not much is needed. The location, charm, design, acoustics and lighting of 99MS make it totally unique. Yet, it is the hospitality, warmth and care that oozes from the proprietors that elevate Mary to iconic status. If you're looking for a less traditional, more relaxed, personalised and vibrant space to celebrate your wedding, stop looking; you've found it.Our friends and family left gushing about the venue and the marvellous brothers that served those delicious espresso martinis. Andrew Mackay: My daughter was married at 99 Mary Street a couple of days ago. I'd not visited the venue until the day before but was immediately at ease as soon as I walked in. The place is fabulous...an industrial vibe but still intimate and welcoming. The owners were so easy to get on with a positive can do approach and they did a great job on the day itself. Expectations were exceeded in every respect so if you are looking for a Sheffield venue for whatever reason I'd urge you to have a look at this one.

Jenny Craggs: We had our civil partnership there last week, and from start to finish Nik and Jon and the venue were great! Always very helpful by email or on the phone, and felt that they were really invested in our day too! Beautiful space, with lots of options for photos, and on a lovely cobbled quiet street which was perfect for our confetti shot! The guys did a great job moving between different seating arrangements for different parts of the night and made some fabulous cocktails for us. Couldn't recommend them highly enough - in fact my mother in law asked if we could have a party there every year!

sarah finneran: On the 17 July 2021 my partner and I had the pleasure of having our wedding at 99 Mary Street.Nik was hosting the day, the personal touches such as getting me a drink when I spoke to the registrar as well as ensuring the guests were happy and settled was what made our experience perfect.We had a great day the weather was amazing, the street in front was quiet and we were able to get all the pictures we needed. The beautiful addition of the plant wall was the perfect back drop on entry to the building. The communication before and after our day was perfect. The most memorable location for a perfect wedding

Jon and Nik were great, making sure we had the day we wanted and chance to sort the venue beforehand. We really liked that there was clear pricing and not lots of extras tried to be sold to us, which was important to us as we just wanted a relaxed and enjoyable day, which is what we got. Lots of of guests commented on the venue. Thanks for helping us celebrate our day!
Jen Tidman: We had our wedding at 99 Mary Street and honestly can't imagine a better venue. Nik and Jon were so helpful and responsive to emails, were happy to accommodate us for visits and various requests, and did a fab job tending the bar on the day itself. The venue is beautiful inside, but can also be dressed to suit your own style in order to make your event personal and individual. We used 99 Mary St for the ceremony, meal and disco and it worked great for each aspect. I would highly recommend it for any kind of event!

Everything ran very smoothly, they were very relaxed and nothing was too much trouble.The venue is beautiful and we also had access to the courtyard which was great.

Stephen Marr: We held our wedding (legal ceremony, dinner and party) at 99 Mary Street in June 2019. Nik and Jon done an first class job. From booking the venue to organising what we wanted and then running the actual wedding day itself the whole experience was flawless. The venue is fantastic and has a great feel to it. The outdoor courtyard is ideal for some drinks in the summer sun too. Could not recommend highly enough.

David Houghton: Very good venue for small to medium sized events. Food and drink was good. Only problem with the venue was that the audio equipment provided wasn't great, speakers kept buzzing loud randomly which made the event very difficult.

john ball: We were at the Mowbray for a party this weekend and the space is ideal for this type of event. I purchased 2 gin and tonics with bottled tonic water and when we were served by one of the bar maids, I asked for the tonic that was left in the bottles the bar maid had to walk the length of the bar to retrieve them and did not seem very happy about it. One of the barmen with short hair was listening to the conversation and made a point of serving me thereafter and made a point of saying each time there is your bottle of tonic. He had an attitude for the rest of the evening and was trying to get a reaction from me, on the plus side I did seem to get served from him quickly and I think my photograph says it all.

Matthew Allton: Attended a work meeting here. Interesting building, but certainly not a wedding venue in my eyes....no opportunity for outdoor photos because of its location in an industrial area. Quite a bit of street parking in streets around but not sure of its safety as broken glass visible on pavements. Kitchens were quite noisy during meeting. Buffet food was quite good.
