Decathlon Sheffield: what do users think?

Reynald Serneo: Wasn’t planning to buy a bike and I was only looking around. So I approached this gentleman working on the bike services “Olivier” - he was really helpful going through with me what I should have looked for in a bike to use to commute to work via train. Whilst he was servicing the bike his another colleague - “Joseph” was going through with me with the paperwork and registering my bike. I was really pleased and happy that I have purchased this bike with the guidance and assistance of these guys at the bike service station.

Madeleine Davis: Decathlon is a lovely place to buy any and all sporting products, they have an extensive range of gear at competitive prices. The staff are very helpful, and the customer services department is well-managed and very helpful with returns and exchanges. Highly recommend!

Mel S: Went over the weekend for a new paddle board and kayak, Andrew was very helpful in answering all our questions. Also got a fishing start up kit for our little girl. We went over the 1 hour car park limit but the staff sorted this too when we mentioned it. Thanks guys!

Adrian Evans: Mixed feelings about this shop. I have been to bigger and better stores in Europe. The shop only offers a fraction of the goods Decathlon sells. Their own branded goods are great value for money, and well up to the job. Sizing is a little bizarre,I tried on 4 different styles of trousers in the store. There was huge variations in the stated size. So be careful when ordering online.

Mary Kinsella: Visited Decathlon today with my husband. We needed advice on waterproof clothing for our daughter. We were assisted by Connor who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We were able to pass on the information to our daughter overseas and subsequently purchase the most appropriate clothing for the trip she is planning which included jacket, trousers and gaiters

Yanya Wang: I have bought lots of things for my ice land trip. And Connor really offered some thoughtful advice for choosing appropriate clothes, sun glasses and so on. He is patient and nice. I really appreciate him.

lyndsey kiernan: Rang and spoke to Connor to confirm the stock availability. When I arrived I then asked for Connor who spent a significant amount of time with me helping me to understand the options and products. He was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable about the products. Excellent service. Thanks.

Steve Ward: Decathlon caters for all the popular sports & leisure activities. The majority of products are reasonably priced. The staff in the Sheffield store are always helpful & have a good knowledge of their products. 1 hour free parking while shopping in store is a bonus!
Claire S: Really helpful customer service (including Emre organising a return). Happy with products and find that the store is regularly the best place to buy kids' outdoor clothing and equipment.
Adam ATC: Can't complain
Georgi Serafimov: Fast
lanaa lutfi: Free parking for 0-1 hr. Very convenient.
Jackie Banks: Very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend for people who aren't quite sure what they want.
Mike Gee: Not bad layout but the place was like a crèche with several groups of kids running about playing basketball / archery etc, I was just looking for some camping stuff!
Praise Symon: Good Experience
Iza N: Nice staff but small selection of products
Scott Muldoon: Bought a bike from here a few months ago and had a problem with the chain dropping, the mechanics tried to fix it but it didn't work so in they end they did a full upgrade on the chainset free of charge (which would have cost nearly £200). Okay the bike shouldn't have had the problem in the first place but i really can't fault the customer service from the Sheffield store. It's actually the 4th bike we've bought from here and I would definitely go back again 👍
Jon Matthews: Massive selection of products covering lots of sports. There is something for everyone at Decathlon. One of my favourite shops.
Sandeep Govind Uttamchandani: Tyler and Connor provided excellent service. Apologies for the delayed feedback. Infact, everytime I have gone in there, I have had excellent customer service and staff really know the products.
Sophie Middleton: Tyler is an asset to the business at Sheffield. Her customer care was exceptional, she was efficient and friendly. She made our visit to store a happy one, i hope she gets the recognition she deserves as customer service these days is lacking in so many businesses. Thanks again Sophie & Issy.
Damien Brown: Great store and friendly staff! Products seem great quality at a reasonable price.Had everything from bikes to tents, clothes to helmets etc. The store was spotless and well organised!
EBW&NCWA: Large, well stocked shop.
Luke Burras: Great and very helpful staff
Riley Robinson: Staff are really rude and unreasonable
Steven Feeney: They seem to have reduced their line of nutritional products. I can not buy what I need
Vincent Maroney: Vety good
Alessandro Tuorto: Very bad customer service.I have bought some towels and I wanted to pay with klarna as i couldn't afford all the payment in one time .I asked for assistance how to do it and they made me twice payment one with klarna and one taking all the payment through my bank account. They told me don't worry you will get the refund and klarna will take your payment splitted.but nothing .So at the end they closed klarna payment end took the money from my account and now I'm in overdraft.Happy day .Very bad experience.
simon bridges: Always love it, wish there was a store closer to me HD4 🤷
Zoe Burns-Shore: It was great. The person helping was really knowledgeable and helpful.

Puck Stop: what do users think?

Richard Slater: Puckstop is an amazing shop with really friendly staff who can offer lots of advice and information about all things hockey! As a novice it was really valuable to have some insight into the different brands and ranges of equipment, with no pushy up-selling. My sales assistant Tobie was really knowledgeable and simply offered information on key features and general size guidelines, and left me to the decision making. Additionally this shop has the biggest selection of stock I’ve seen in the UK which is key, as you really need to try things on in person to ensure you get the correct fit. When at the till, without prompting, Tobie threw in a couple of freebies including a water bottle and a few rolls of tape. And on top of everything else he gave me a discount on the final bill as I spent a fair amount. Would definitely recommend 👍

Alexei Krasnov: Refund was swiftly processed - I was not aware as no notification came from PayPal. Please re-invoice me for 2 jerseys though - I don’t expect anything for free. Thank you for getting back to me

rjherrick22: Exceptional customer service both in store and online. I have used this company over a number of years and the products and service this company provides is outstanding.

Airztrike J: Lenny was a hero with my 3yr old!!! Patient and making my son feel comfortable on his first ever experience in a hockey shop!! Really grateful and appreciative of the help!! Great service and always a pleasure to come to the shop...thank you so much guys!!!

Tim Brogan-Shaw (TB-S): So after 15 years out of the game, I decided to buy a full goalie set. Christine helped me out with the sizing, she was very knowledgeable and friendly. I needed to get a full kit within one hour and also within my budget. We took just under the hour and came in on the budget with change! I felt like a kid in a candy store, they really have everything! This has to be the best hockey shop in the UK, the whole experience is great and there is so much choice of gear. They have some great things on sale also. I am very happy with all my gear, can’t wait to get back in the goal! Thanks puck stop and thanks especially to Christine! Awesome! Highly recommend!

Michael Brewin: Ordered Thursday at 9pm delivered Sat at 7am...Good service no issues what so ever.
T Smith: This place is going down hill.Went in today with the aim of spending a lot of money. It’s clear the staff here don’t know their shop or the game of hockey. Most depressingly, they seem totally content with that.As I walked in; usual hello how are you etc. I then said yes firstly I need new steel for my skates (which I had with me). This was met by confusion and a question of “why” and “what’s wrong with those ones”. When I said my current steel was chipped and old and wanted them replaced and to be kept as spare, I was met with confused looks all round.Next, required a new visit. I asked to see 2 different models from out of the glass cabinet. They finally arrived with the question of “which one do you like any to look at?” - obviously both. That’s why I asked for them.Next, no Bauer P29 sticks, I asked if there were any more “round the back”. After some faffing with the computer, and a clear inability to actually find the answer to this question I was offered “I think probably they are all we have”. What does that even mean.Eventually the bloke came to help and kindly helped me find a CCM stick of equivalent properties.Lastly, I asked for my new steel to be sharpened and inserted into my skates. Eventually the skates turned up with the old steel still in. I then replaced them with the new steel, which I’m not convinced had even been sharpened.Compare this hockey shop to what you get in N. America and it’s chalk and cheese.
Rubin Howdle: Fantastic support. My son's stick snapped and the team couldn't do enough to help with replacing it. Many thanks
Shelby Birkby: Super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommend Puckstop.I've recently got back into playing ice hockey after 8 years away from it and found my skates were fitting a bit small. Went to Puckstop and explained the issues with my skates, Morgan (staff) measured me up to find my skate size (really easy process) turns out I was the same size as my current skates. So I popped home (don't live far from shop) and brought in my current skates, Morgan took the time to see how my skates fitted, listened to the issues I'd got and then went about helping correct the fit and after trying a few things and different insoles and laces she'd help get my skates fitting perfect again so I didn't have to buy new ones. She also cut down and fitted the insoles into the skates for me and helped me chose socks, laces and blades gaurds. Cannot thank her enough for her help, advise and patience. Also a big thank you for the details on a women's ice team and their training sessions.Whilst I was there I was also able to find my current glove size, type of stick needed and helmet size. It was busy in the shop (youth ice hockey team had come in), however the staff were more than happy to help and advise me on fittings and let me try things on. All the staff today have been really helpful, patient and professional. I cannot thank them enough, highly recommend a visit regardless of whether you need new ice hockey kit or just some advise.
beckie walker: Great service and friendly staff :)Went to purchase a full kit for our son, we were helped by a lady called Charlotte she was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient - she definitely needs a raise :) Thank you so much for your help and answering all our questions :) xx
Lisa Beech: Excellent service
Ape Asylum: Customer service is super quick and very helpful. My stick had a manufacturing fault, they contacted the manufacturer on my behalf and walked me through the steps on how to get the part of the stick they needed back to them with a paid for postage label. It was a less than ideal situation they handled outstandingly. When i purchase anything like sticks they always get here next day and is free postage.Puckstop is by far the best ice hockey shop in the UK hands down. Keep up the good work!
Ainsley Taylor: Amazing service as always, very knowledgeable about the products and able to advise you on what will work best for you. The staff are friendly and happy to help out. Much better to go in store and be able to select products that you can actually get a feel for with the expert advice alongside it. I’ve never felt that I’ve been oversold products here - it’s always been what works best for me individually and within my budget. Have bought a number of items in the past. Today I’ve ordered some custom skates. Highly recommend and can’t wait to pick up my new skates soon! Thank you!
david terry: This is the second time we have been to puck stop. As usual there wasn't anything they didn't have. Even my huge 306 runners. The staff are the friendliest and really helpful. Cant recommend this shop enough. Wish there was a shop like this in Essex so I didn't have to travel so far for decent customer service and such a large selection of stock.
Gavin Gilmour: Recently purchased my first pair of skates from puckstop for abit of leisure skating with the kids, staff were extremely insightful and non forceful over which boots to get. The gent had my feet scanned, showed me how to bed them in and lace them up and couldn’t give enough knowledge despite me going at 6:30pm on a Friday night right before closing. I was expecting to be rushed out so people could get home but you sense they took pride in getting you the right stuff and leaving happy. The only thing we ran out of time for was the blade sharpening but the chap ensured it would be done first thing ready for collection, when I went I was approached by the same man telling me the skates were ready and got them out for me.I’m unsure even if the pricing is high or low there but I’d sure return because of the service.
old account: Top Top service!Items ordered for 3 GB U18 players, Puckstop went out of their way to dispatch a large number of items extremely fast! Easily the best Hockey shop in UK.Was kept up to date via email.Highly recommend.
Josh Brown: Drove 1.5 hours to get my skates punched out as they were causing significant pain. Amazing customer service, even on a busy Saturday, and within an hour I was wearing skates that no longer hurt!
benjamin mccallum: Staff really friendly & helpful. A bit of a pain to find parking if you don't know where you are going, would recommend parking at the Ice rink & walk across
Samuel Cresswell: best of the best products and staff who are willing to spend their time to help until your happy
Matthew Campbell: Absolutely fantastic shop. I Payed for my hockey equipment yesterday at 12:30 and received my equipment at 11:45 this morning. Everything fits perfect. The advice I got before purchasing over the phone was spot on the staff are very helpful polite, This is my second purchase from Pick Stop and I'm over the moon. I won't shop elsewhere
Melissa Matthews: Great advice.and service.
Andrew Cahill: Excellent service. Delivery is so fast
Meg: My partner and I went ice skating for the first time in a few decades a few weeks ago and remembered how much we enjoyed it as a children. What we did forget was how uncomfortable the hire skates are so decided to invest in our own. Puck Stop had great reviews and we liked that they do fittings. We popped in this morning and found that they were busy, but were happy to wait. The lady at the till was really helpful and got someone to serve us. Lenny was amazing, we were very much out of our depth but he made us feel super comfortable. We got our feet measured, boots fitted and it was a super easy process. Lenny was really great at explaining what I'm sure is basic stuff but really beneficial. We bought our skates, got them sharpened (included in the price) and our soft and hard blade covers. The lady asked if we wanted our hard covers cutting to size (we had no idea what this meant at the time but agreed) and Lenny sorted that out. We popped across to the ice arena for a skate and my god the skates were amazingly comfy. I can say happy feet, happy skaters! Definitely worth the trip (as we are not local). 5* from us and a massive thank you!

Thrybergh Country Park: what do users think?

Michelle Royds: Loved walking round Thrybergh Country Park and really enjoyed the start of Hope Fields in April. Remembered 2 close family members and hung a message on the newly planted trees. A lovely place to remember those lost to Covid.

Richard Andrews: Really nice walk to be had round here. Great reservoir lots of bird life. Cafe was nice if a tad expensive for the size of the coffee. Car park is not the best, a whole bay currently take up with building materials. There is n EV charger however that could not be accessed due to inconsiderate petrol cars parking in the spot. Will definitely visit again.

Peter Cooper: A beautiful if a bit rough and ready country park with excellent views of the surrounding farmlands and an abundance of nature. This place is nostalgic for me, however from an unbiased view these are my thoughts. An area for improvement would be the Hope Fields as although it is open to visitors, there is still much work to be done on it to get it really up to how it could be. The 2 cafes in front of the parking provide different facilities the one on the left is more aimed at young families, a bit more budget and the one on the right a bit more upmarket, offering hot meals and table service. I would recommend the park to all, especially as we move further through the spring.

Karen O'Connor: We had a walk round and went into the cafe ordered tea,sat outside on a bench and watched the birds which was a lovely morning, the cafe was clean with friendly staff, the toilets are clean with plenty of toilet paper and hand dryers. Dogs are allowed on leads.

Caroleanne Holden: Absolutely lovely place for family, solo or dog walks. The new extended area walk in the country park is wonderful.

Gavin Barr: Beautiful walk. Also a decent cafe for drinks and light meals. Well worth a visit.

David Limb: Perfect place for a steady 3k walk. Nice cafe with lovely staff.
Jenny Taylor: Fabulous place my little grandson loves it nice cafe too xxx
Steven Wilkinson: Can't even answer a phone in two days major simpletons
Amsam Deveaux: A great place for dog walkers. Yet dogs not allowed in the cafe. Outdoor 4 picnic tables poor. £2.50 for car park. There's more to explore than the lake so it's worth another visit
Elaine Rawson: Lovely circular walk around the res. Then a nice cuppa or an ice cream to finish off. Just perfect.
D Mc: Nice walk around the water, nice for a picnic, parking can get busy and have to pay and display. Cafe, and ice-cream shop.
Terry Harrowell: Lovely place. Very tranquil. Lot's of birds. A nice little cafe serving hot and cold food.Restrooms: Toilets.
Chris Allen: Low price parking. Good facilities. The walk around the lake isn't too long and the path is reasonably level. It would be nice is every dog walker picked up their mess.
Shana J: good place for swimming/paddle boarding. Great cafe and can pay for parking via contactless
Glyn Bassindale: Good place to walk
Stephen Roberts: Excellent locational views. Good paths, food available and toilets.Restrooms: Free and cleanDog-friendliness: Dogs under close controlPicnic area: Plenty of picnic benches
Annette Walker: Lovely walk around the lake. Delicious coffee and cakes at the cafe or maybe a bacon sandwich.Playground: Small children's playgroundDog-friendliness: I saw people walking dogs on leadsPicnic area: Table and benches by the lake, close to car park so you don't have far to carry your picnic. Or buy your food at the cafe .
Jasmine Bowers: Lovely place to walk round and has a cafe. Will be back again, especially in summer.Restrooms: Restrooms in cafe.
Barbara Etherington: Very good walk round the lake, grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed it, climbing trees, watching ducks and swans, and playing in the park, nice cafeRestrooms: Clean and tidyDog-friendliness: Very dog friendly, don't have a dog but met a few on the way round
Deborah Archibald: A bit muddy in places
Alan Radcliffe: Went with my sister9 in law to walk her dog. Having mobility problems, I wasn't sure how I would be. Really enjoyed the walk as the ground underfoot was good and the terrain flat. In addition, there were a number of benches to sit on if it got too much. Enjoyed a cup of tea and a piece of cake to finish the morning.Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed, and most were on leads, although some people let them run free.Picnic area: There are plenty of benches around the reservoir and tables with seats outside the cafe.
john Wick: Love this place. It's beautiful no matter what time of year. It is a great relaxing walk . With plenty of seats dotted around the lake
Darren Barker: Great for dog walking but not if you like your dog off lead.Cafe reasonable but dogs not allowed inside.
nicola hill: Would have given 5 stars, but today I decided to have a walk round with my new puppy. Its been a while since my last visit and I was disgusted at the amount of dog poo all around the res.I can't understand why people would do this to such a great place.Never seen it so bad for dog mess. It was horrible to see the park like this.
Lucas M: Lovely place for a walk, some interesting places around the reservoir as well. There is a place to eat near car park area and public toilets. Great spot for bird feeding and fishing if you're into it.
Daniel Cooper: Really nice walk and coffee shop onsite plus toilets that are in good condition.Ground uneven in points but we manage to cope easily with a push chair. Although they have tarmacked parts of the path.Duck's to feedVery pleasant walk.Plus the parking machines are quite cheap.£ 1.90 all day can use card too
Jean Docherty: Another fantastic place

Sheffield Theatres: what do users think?

angus heeley: Working at the Crucible! Very professional people!! Just a little Sad Boris Johnson has done a Uturn and Spoiled it for the Snooker supporters that have already paid for Sessions!!

Tracey Rossington: Great seats, circle row B. Sound and lighting very good.

Rob Hart: Visited the Play House. Brilliant venue for the play we whent to see (Death of an Anarchist).

Brianbarbara Beighton: First visit to the Studio. Good intimate little theatre but seats not very comfy and I had backache before the play started. The play, Love n Stuff was very good though. 2 actors playing a number of characters. Very clever and funny.

Thomas Atkin: Lovely Staff, nice food in the Cafe

eugene ward: 2021 empty. But great seats

Kathryn Ellins: Had a great session at the snooker yesterday (sunday 25th april). Was really well organised. Entry into the place was great and very clearly explained as you approached. Ive never been before and was surprised at how small it was. Amazed by how well they do it esp with all the cameras etc in there. Loads of leg room and seat room. Was really comfortable sat there watching the snooker. Will defo be applying for tickets again
Dominic Ridler: My favourite theatre! I visit regularly for shows as well as attending the snooker every year. Well looked after with helpful, friendly staff. An excellent theatre.

Geoff Morton: Great place to visit, lovely staff and really clean
Jill Beckett: Love this place ❤️
Paula Turner: Always something to choose, with plays and shows for all tastes in the three theatres - The Crucible, Playhouse and Lyceum.
Thomas-Paul Davage: Three different performance spaces in two adjacent buildings - traditional proscenium arch in one, contemporary thrust and intimate surround studio in the other - for differing productions.Bars, cafe and relaxation areas.Highly recommended.
Gavin Hodge: All three venues, The Crucible, The Lyceum and The Studio are excellent. I have seen some superb shows here such as Our Friends In The North, Oliver and And Anyone Else Who Knows Me a play Oir Crucilbe In Education group devised and acted in at the Studio.
Ger H: Love visiting Sheffield theatres lots going on. I do wish they wouldn’t open the fire doors in the Lyceum during interval in the winter though it a hell of a draft for us wheelchair users.
Kirk Hopkinson: Lovely venue
Craig whittaker: Always a fun experience. Can be pricey mind!!!
Pam Robinson: Loved production! Excellent time

Barnsley Metrodome: what do users think?

eamonn omalley: took the littleone here today for a swim ....pretty good and was cheap and not overly crowded ...would definately come again

Explore With Son & Me: Visited for the first time in about a decade, and this time with our one year old. It’s good on a midweek morning when it’s around £15 for two adults and a child. But I would say it needs a really good clean. There also a slide down since I last visited.

ian charity: Great venue for the Supershow, well organised venue.

leeder1987: We always have a great time at swimming here, we miss-placed my daughter’s goggles at home but in no time at all the metrodome had responded this morning on Facebook chat to let us know they sold goggles on site. Great service! Thank you again

Graham Larby: Went for swimming slightly busy good selection of food, bowling later Im actually better than I thought we loved it all will be returning
Chris Holden: It's a very good place to take the kids....water slides and wave machine. My big gripe with this place is the amount of tickets they sell per session......far too many people in the pools!! Would be much more enjoyable with a few less
John Chandler: Good for younget and older kids, slides are pretty good although wave machine was activated once
Mark Prince: Looking tired, ready for a refurb. I understand budgets won't allow at present but it does detract from the experience. Also coloured slides should be open in little fins sessions in my opinion.
Ingrida Zideleviciute: today we were here, it's a wonderful place, the water is perfect, the staff is nice, everything is perfect. the children really liked the wonderful place, the day was well spent, we will definitely come back together again.
SYMX: Same good place to take kids
Jonny Brandwood: Fantastic staff
Joanne Vaines: Great place...ideal to entertain and wear out young kids
David Waddington: Really good pool and very clean only downside was you had to pre-book which was because of COVID, and I can only say that we have got past that now so I can't understand why you can't pay on the door.
Stephanie Barber: My kids love being taught by Nick and are doing really well here
Ovidiu murgu: The perfect place with water for playing kids….and also adults
Gareth Sefton: A great day out for the kids. Had a great session in the swimming pool.
Stephen Smith: Fantastic modern complex very clean and well run. Would have been five stars but the only issue is the approach roads are horrendous, pot holes everywhere. Come on Barnsley get it sorted.
Dr Chris Eames: The pool was warm and lots of different pool areas are available. There is a large family/wave pool, a deeper 25 m pool and a diving pool, plus a good variety of water slides. It is easy to get to by both public transport and car and there is ample parking. Top tip: drive right to the bottom of the car park and across the roundabout and you will almost always get parked close to the entrance. Everyone seeem to bail out before. The changing rooms are great. There are loads of lockers and cubicles of various sizes and, in many visits, we have never had to wait. The showers are also nice and warm and there are plenty of them. There is a cafe which my wife has used on occasion without complaint, but we have never had food as it expensive. You can drop down into barnsley town centre for some amazing cafes to be honest.Top tip: I would recommend buying tickets in advance. This speeds things up at the counter and guarantees you a place. If you can't make it, then you can switch days.
Andrea Pascu: Always fun for kids at Metrodome. With friendly staff members, place to eat and have nice coffee.Very colourful swimming pool with perfect temperature for each age.Has bowling with some arcade area and gym too if you want join them with a membership.Parking usually crowded near the entrance but at the back of it usually easy to find a space.Suitable access to disabled people.
Jenny Cook: Great place. Took our 3 children aged 8,7 and 1 and all had a great time. 👍
Nicholas Light: Great venue
Jordan Wilson: I went today and it was very busy and pool staff was amazing how they did their job when the pool alarm went off twice
Fee: Good for the kids but the pools are cold and the lifeguards could be better instead of blowing their whistle every 2 seconds then not doing anything
Emma clancy: Good day out
Lindsay Ruczenczyn: Really good day out showers were freezing g cold whe using them at the end .
James Naylor: Gym pool conference every good plus parking
