Hotel Mercure Sheffield Kenwood Hall & Spa: what do users think?

Dan Mansell: Ignore the negative reviews!Right from arriving Alice on reception was amazing, had a lovely relaxing afternoon in the sauna and pool.Nipped out in the evening to the stags head a 5 mins stroll away. Then a really good night's sleep on a very comfy bed.Breakfast was great, lots on offer whether you just wanted a bowl of cereal or full English, and all of a decent quality, couldn't fault it at all.Would recommend to anyone for a night or 3 away. Thanks Jen for getting our room ready

SarahW: A useful base for visiting family and generally good, however the breakfast experience could be improvedNoteworthy details: When the weather is fit a beautiful setting

Dan Davies: Lovely stop off whilst travelling from down south for a family wedding.Accidentally booked a half board stay but this was a blessing as we had a very tasty evening meal upon arrival. Before leaving we had a beautiful cooked full english buffet breakfast, a quick gym session and a stroll round the lake the back of the hotel what more could you want?

bob steve: Had a lovely experience at the Kenwood, felt right at home! Rosie was a considerate and warm host on the bar. Will be back!Food & drinks: Lovely drinks served by lovely people!

Jane Lasonder: i shouted at these rude people. The staff handled it amazing and i was impressed. id 100% recommend a stay at this lovely hotel.

DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield Park: what do users think?

Annie: Great hotel and facilities, amazing serviceWe came by train and therefore did have to get multiple taxis into centre as hotel isn’t within walking distanceThe pool was great however hottub/jacuzzi was out of use during our visit and we wasn’t made aware of this when booking it in which caused an inconvenience as was one of the reasons we picked this hotel

Howard Jones: Typical Double tree. Bedroom decor looking a little tired but the rest of hotel better.Don't like paying a fiver to swim which I was looking forward to after working a full day.Location is okay but not an awful lot close by.Food very expensive so didn't try, the breakfast in the morning was very good and compared well compared to others I have stayed at.WiFi is good & free parking. Overall very good but due to the above comments a 4.5 does it for me.

Phillip Stafford: Been numerous times to the doubletree staff amazing always so helpful hotel is our goto place for relaxation and friendly faces not being biace to one member of staff but have to say nick on reception is such an exceptional person in every way nothing to much trouble all ways a smile makes our stay fantastic our very own award goes to nick amazing human being thank youRooms: Beds good added bonus having fridge in roomsFood & drinks: Good

Kevin Gay: But it off town huge but quietLocation: 4/5 …

Casa Hotel: what do users think?

Gabi PB: We spent one night in the Casa Hotel while passing through. The rooms corresponded to the category booked. It was very annoying that the doors could only be closed by loudly slamming them. So it was very restless for half the night. Even though the hotel is located on a busy street, there is hardly any traffic noise. The staff at reception and in the restaurant are very friendly. Special requests were also fulfilled in the restaurant and the dinner was excellent. The breakfast left nothing to be desired.

Markus Pesch: The hotel is fine for transit. The rooms could be a little cleaner. Since the room doors close automatically and this is associated with a loud slamming of the lock, it is quite loud in the hallways. There is a large, private parking lot directly in front of the hotel. The breakfast is very good and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is highly recommended for dinner.

winston pyke: Very comfortable rooms, great service and amazing, friendly staff

Janet Miller: Beautiful place definitely worth a visit. The food is amazing can't rate it high enough.Rooms: Rooms are really nice will definitely come back again.Food & drinks: The food is out of this world you only need to look at the photo's above.

James Bristow: Just enjoyed a v nice two nights with our 1yr old baby. All of the staff could not have been more accommodating - heating up food, preparing breakfast etc. And the whole place felt very relaxed. Tasty food and nice location. Thank you very much. We went to the Cavendish Arms also for a drink and had the same friendly welcome bringing our baby in. Based on these two experiences we really appreciate the hospitality of the Devonshire Group and will look up the other locations.

Alice-E22: Fantastic place. Staff are excellent and really attentive with allergies too. We got looked after mainly by Tom who was friendly, helpful and professional. We will definitely return. Highly recommend the partridge starter and Venison main!Noteworthy details: Excellent for adapting food for gluten free. Also a good selection of quality game food.

WaiTak Chao: we arrived 12:50pm on friday. this pub was reopened yesterday after refurbished for 4 weeks by new owner. the place was almost empty. they have sandwich menu and main menu. the prices of sandwich menu are reasonable. the prices of main menu are a bit dear and no traditional classic dishes. however, they do special lunch, 2 courses meal for£19 and 3 courses meal for £24 from Monday to Thursday. it is worth to go for the them. the meals we ordered were tasty but we had to wait over a hour even not many customers.

Helen Pearson: Great value for money and lovely friendly hosts. We can't wait to return!

V Hanlon: Stopped in one morning during a storm to warm up by the fire. Good coffee and soup, and it's a real local hangout with reasonable prices. Lovely visit.

Ian Bradford: Called in at lunchtime, for a bite to eat.Had a sandwich, salad and soup.Very tasty and satisfying. Excellent value.Cozy atmosphere, too warm today for the log stove to be on, but it's there for when it's needed.Would come back again. Thanks

Claire Nicholas: The coffee and cake were just right. Would like to go back for a meal if possible.

Cowclose Barn: what do users think?

Pieter Kemp: Stayed Here in 2010 and it was the best time we had in England. The grounds were beautiful and the cows all had different and funny personalities. I was born in chesterfield but my family moved to America, it was my first time back and I really lived the town and the people. I can't wait to go back!!!

Richard Nevard: Very comfortable and great for access to the peak district

Tom Crow: Lovely well equipped cottage, beautiful walks from the door and friendly hosts!

Vanessa Harvey: Beautiful location. Cosy, comfortable cottage. Very clean and well maintained. Everything we needed for a week stay. Barbara and Allen were lovely hosts. Very welcoming and friendly. Gorgeous gardens and scenery and lots of walks right from the front door. Great holiday! Perfectly situated for exploring the Peak District. Will definitely return and would certainly recommend.

Rab Allan: Had a good holiday here. Stayed in the robins cottage for a week. Good starting point as your not too far from everywhere. Got lots of walking and sight seeing done. A week wasn't long enough though.

Benjamin william Evans: Nice little air bnb great views

Kaiden Garland: It is a beautiful area with lots of amazing walks.

Anna Augustin: are really delicious

Jack Carvey: Very nice, clean and tidy, couldn't complain, Barbara, had made some nice tarts as well for our stay, would come back again!

Carol Milner: Had a really lovely overnight stay here in the bed and breakfast after attending a local wedding! We were given tea and cake upon our arrival, which was homemade by Barbara! The room had lovely views out of both windows and the largest king size bed I have ever seen. It was so comfy we both had a great nights sleep. Home cooked breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious and Barbara and her husband Allan couldn’t have been more welcoming - would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay as a base for walking or just relaxing in the countryside. There’s a great little pub just over the road too which serves really good food so all in all a very well situated place to stay!

Steven Baxby: LOVED It! Only a two day stay, but it was fabulous. Warm cosy and a warm welcome with cake! Would recommend to anyone! And they are dog friendly people.... Need more time of work to take advantage of the Robins, cottage. Thank you for everything.

Chris Pirdue: Beautiful views

Rex M: Lovely location, great views, clean and comfortable. Very dog friendly.

PHILIP ROSSELL: Love this cottage a real second home.

Peak Edge Hotel: what do users think?

Mark Harris: Here for our anniversary and what a lovely evening we've had. The meal at the restaurant was superb and a minor issue we had was resolved expediently and without any fuss. Lovely little touches such as a card on our table congratulating us was great. I'd love to recommend a course but all 5 we had were delicious. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Paul Wilson: Luxury hotel and restaurant in a great location, the food is expensive but superb and the bar is intimate and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.Rooms: We upgraded to a suite, luxury.

Claire Guyver: We went to the Red Lion restaurant for a belated Mother’s Day Sunday lunch. Both the food and staff were excellent but particular credit goes to front of house who were exceptional. Will definitely return as soon as possible and would recommend to others without hesitation. Thank you!

Pat Jackson: Wedding Invitation lovely location evening buffet good catered well for gluten free. Drinks very expensive.Location: 5/5 …

Simon Myers: Peak Edge Hotel and Red Lion Restaurant, Darley Road, Chesterfield, United Kingdom, S45 0LW⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We decided to celebrate my wife's birthday at the Red Lion Restaurant and what a delightful experience it was! Right from the get-go, the staff were nothing short of wonderful, providing attentive and helpful service throughout our visit. They even went the extra mile to write a birthday card for my wife, which was a lovely touch. The starters were absolutely delicious, setting the stage for an exciting meal. However, when it came to the mains, we encountered a slight hiccup as the restaurant had run out of potatoes for mash. But, not to worry, the staff were quick to offer some tasty alternatives, ensuring our dining experience remained uninterrupted.Admittedly, we found the food a tad too salty for our liking, but overall, it was still very enjoyable. The view from the restaurant added to the charm of our evening, making it even more special. In summary, despite a few minor issues, the outstanding service and the beautiful setting of the Red Lion Restaurant made my wife's birthday celebration memorable. We wholeheartedly give it 5 stars and look forward to returning in the future.

Clare Murray: We've had these provided in the past at dog friendly hotels. But we did thoroughly enjoy our stay and would very much like to return.Rooms: Cosy, comfy, clean - overall very nice! Lovely bed.Food & drinks: Excellent food. We did pass on our praise to the chef. Absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection.

Agnes Fairholm: Absolutely stunning place. We have attended a wedding and were extremely delighted from start to finish.Hotel was stunning, food was superb, just few comments to make this place 5 out of 5The rooms were dusty, the housekeeping is lacking an eye for detail.Service varied, absolutely excellent from the most experienced staff to quite poor to the ones that quite possibly were still in training.Nevertheless, would love to come back for a break away and will definitely recommend.Food & drinks: Possibly the best breakfast I’ve ever had!

Adam Carter: , to Tim and Beth who ran the day from start to finish. You played such a huge part in the start of our lives together and we will truly never be able to thank you enough. We’ll be back every year.

Sharron Penn: Beautiful hotel, relaxed elegance. Fantastic food and service, definitely visiting again.Rooms: Huge bed and a nespresso machine- perfect 👌
