DIGS The Pinnacles: what do users think?

Elle-Louise B: I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Pinnacles so far. I arrived here in September of 2022 and I’ve already rebooked for next year and will likely book for my third and final year. The events held by the accommodation are great and the attitude staff have is great. Everyone is rather welcoming and I’ve always felt safe and secure. All maintenance issues I’ve had have been sorted quickly and anything that requires a longer assessment time has been notified. The accommodation is close to campus and I’ve heard some nightmare stories from other students in other accommodation, but everyone at Pinnacles seem to have a unanimous agreement that it’s a great place to stay!

SHELDON LOBO: The Pinnacles, has been a great student accommodation. As an International student, one would look for benefits and comfort that they can get from a student accommodation. After living here for a year, it has been a great experience. They have a common room with a pool table and table tennis, gym, a common study room and a common kitchen with multiple events held every week. I have made a lot of memorable moments and will love to be a student all over again just to live in The Pinnacles.
naomi: affordable accommodation with great social events
Liv Allen: Rebooked 3 times
Eugene Gonsalves: Living in Pinnacles has been an amazing experience, the staff are friendly and helpful , it makes staying away from home very comforting.
Raphael “Rafayizle” Onwe: This is the best students accommodation around Sheffield. It is also one of the most affordable in town. They've got everything to help a student balance school and social life-gym, laundry room, cinema, PS5 and arcade games, table tennis boards, pool table, outdoor barbecue place and lots more. Lots of activities to keep occupants engaged particularly the trips helping students create unforgettable memories. Also not forgetting the ever ready and efficient management team. They promote diversity and make everyone feel at home. As an international student, I've really enjoyed my stay and I'm glad I chose The Pinnacles. I must also commend their efforts and concerns for people with mental health needs. It's a good value for money. You won't find a better deal in Sheffield. I recommend The Pinnacles for students irrespective of backgrounds or nationalities.
Jesus Youaretheone: One of the best student accommodation to live. All issues raised by ticket will be solved at the earliest.
Jake Crow: I have been a tenant at the pinnacles for a couple years now and I can say it really is a mixed bag of good/bad. The majority of reception staff, cleaning staff and a couple maintenance workers are lovely and brilliant people to have looking after you while you stay .however some maintenance workers seem like they would use a leaf blower to Hoover the house… normally here from after hours I honestly don’t know what they do other then stare at a screen hoping no work or emergencies occur.Recently a new fire alarm system was put in place and it has zero concern for the residents living there . I completely understand that a fire alarm system is made for our safety however a couple things regarding it are ridiculous. The volume of these alarms are way beyond what is needed of a regular fire alarm. I can feel my ear ringing every time they go off and genuinely believe they are impacting my hearing . The obnoxious volume level paired with the fact these alarms will go off every single Wednesday makes it unbearable . They either need switching out or reducing the drill frequencies. The room inspections are a waste of time .only done for the landlords benefit not the resident . For example I had a room inspection a few months ago stating some things needed sorting out and replaced . The room inspector wrote this down and that’s about as far as it went….. never got replaced or contacted myself regarding this issue.Overall some staff are great and friendly others are clearly incompetent when it comes to doing their job. The events ran at the pinnacles id say are really good , plenty of stuff to do and can see that management put time and effort into this . The rooms and facilities are pretty good, Wifi is great, few issues here and there but that is to be expected . So really is a mixed bag here overall .
Keeley Watkinson: Full enjoyed staying here for the 2022/2023 academic year, I’ve booked over the summer and also rebooked next year. Great facilities and nice community within the iron gates, reception are really friendly and are a great help. I highly recommend on staying here the prices are fairly good as well, and great activities to get involved with every month. :)
ben evans: Great place and the honestly such a good deal for student accom for what you are getting here
Julie Nicholas: Not the best. Felt a bit like entering a war zone
Mèo Trangg: Great!! Lots of events to connect ppl 🏻
girish chakravarthy: Best place to live in Sheffield, rebooked again. The staff and events are the best.
Ghayas Rashid: Pinnacles is a great place to live. The staff is really helpful and takes care of the needs of their tenants.
Amy Crellin: Pretty good student accommodation with loads of activities and really nice events. It's a little far away from shops but it's close to town!
Shaik Ameen Shadab: Wonderful place to live for Students. Well Recommended.
Hamidreza Kbz: It is so nice
Drunken_Lizard_Wizard: nice place, easy to get around, short walk to the main campus and to city centre, very affordable for what you get, good quality kitchen and equipment, however heating is a bit iffy, been told it would be fixed by the time i get back form break, so we'll see about that.friendly and helpful staff
Gayming Wolfy: After new management took over in 2021 the place has been great, staff are sound and I've had 0 problems. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for good quality cheap accomodation.
Shrestha Bhowmik: A great place to live with your friends and get acquainted with new people.
t g: Accident waiting to happen

Best Behaviour K9 Training Academy Ltd: what do users think?

Sophie Email: We recently had a 1 to 1 session with Neil for Bruce my Irish water spaniel! Neil was absolutely amazing, and carefully advised me how to correct the issues! First one was loose lead walking and all it took was a slip lead which Bruce responded to really well! Neil was super knowledgeable and extremely professional! We will be booking in for our follow up session in March 👍🏽

Theresa McDermott: Booked four 121 lessons for myself and Nelle my daughters lovely cockerpoo. Pia was amazing. I can honestly say I learned loads. Nelle is doing so well with the hints and tips we were given. We just loved our morning sessions with Pia. Thank you so much. We are looking forward to joining a group session. Theresa and Nelle

Nancy Declerck: Did an introductory Scent work training. Despite the 3 hour drive to get there it was well worth it. The expectations have been met and look forward to the next step... Further two day training being carried out and fully enjoying the course. Parking is not ideal but worth it anyhow.

Lyn Lockwood: Beginners scent training course was excellent. Our dog loved it and we learnt so much. Really recommend.

Richard Bott: Neil really helped us understand our dog Freddy’s reactive behaviour. And on the day gave us good building blocks for his further training. The online catalogue has also been an extremely useful tool.
Christopher Dexter: Excellent training.
Dawn Williams: In January we had a home visit from Neil, for our dog Ted. This was to address his anxious behaviour towards visitors both family and strangers. It is proving to have been worth it. Thanks to Neil and his training plan, things are improving and we feel so much more in control. We even had our grandson sleepover and us and Ted did well in managing his behaviour and anxiety
barry dealey: I have 4 year old Malamute from a dog rescue. He came to me with some problems. I was told by Cookes pet store about Best Behaviour K9 Training. I have an assessment with Neil and then 2 more 121 sessions. With alot of time following the advice given by Neil between the sessions saw a great improvement in the way he was with other dogs and with more advice we both started to move forward. We have both grown in confidence. The time and effort that Neil and the rest of the staff put in with your dog and with yourself to understand what you are doing with your dog and the way to put things right to move forward together. I cant say enough about the help and support you get from everyone at the training centre.Barry & Tikaani
Lynda Jackson: I cannot recommend Neil highly enough. The difference he makes to the way you 'read' you dog is amazing in just a couple of short hours. We have had 1-2-1 lessons with Riley, due to his terrible pulling issues when on a short lead recently and although it is going to take a lot of work on my part, the difference in just 2 weeks is incredible. We also go to scent work classes which R absolutely loves and can't get enough off. 5 stars all around. You will not find better
Naomi Sutton: Knowledgable and sensible advice which is tailored to the specific needs of the dog and owners. Highly recommended 👌
Malgorzata Barrett: Very professional trainers Wouldn't manage without Neil.
Megan: I came to Neil due to his invaluable experience with our breed of dog, being a GSD. Our first session however was with Pia, where Pia introduced us to the foundations to put in place before we then had a session with Neil. On our most recent session we had a home visit from Neil which was a game changer. We learned how to be calm around the home and how to deal with behaviours we didn't want which has also changed how we are outside of the home. There is so much to learn from any session but if you are willing to put the work in then you should get results out as through my own experience, it's more so the humans that need to learn how to be with the dog to be better together!
Amy Fearnehough: After finishing the rookie course in February the trainers said it would be beneficial to do 1-1 classes because of how my dog acts around other dogs. After I did the 1-1 she gave us an amazing training plan to get Odie to start listening and so far it is working, its just going a little bit slow! He's still struggling to walk nicely and not pull and he's still struggling around other dogs and people but it's going to take time to get him out of old habits! On a bonus he has almost stopped crying for attention.I'm looking forward to hopefully coming and doing the next training courses in a couple of months.
Dale Barrett: Very helpful dog trainer
Cameron McAllister: Staff and brilliant, friendly and informative. The location is easy to get to and the café is great especially when the sun's out!
James Marsden: Only been once but seems to know his stuff
Vicky Otley: Perfect start to realising it's humans who need the tools to train our pups 🐶 😀
Keiri Melia: Brilliant place :) we've really learnt a lot and we plan to continue to do as much as we can.
Katie Adgie: We had a behavioural visit from Neil. Even with little things he showed us, I could see a difference. We practiced walking and it was the best walking experience I've had with our dog.We got our training report to work through and we are seeing huge differences in the dogs behaviour. Also, with what we need to do too as our actions were heightening the behaviour issues we had.
Ella Rae: Absolutely amazing place. I’ve had plenty dogs in my life but got a new breed, a huntaway, from a chicken coop. I’ve had plenty working dogs too but knew having a huntaway would be a whole new chaos as they’re bred to do the jobs collies cannot. So we invested in training.Laura our trainer adores all the dogs in our class like they’re her own. So professional and the training works! Even if he did listen to her more than us at times haha. They’re so knowledgable and if you have a question about anything then it will be answered with advice and numerous options for you to work on with your dog. She even recognised our little lads aversion to work and confirmed what everyone knew , that he wouldn’t have made it in the working world.I highly recommend. We opted for group classes with our pup being a large breed so he could get used to working around other pups and people and keep him well socialised. This is only enforced by the controlled socialisation they teach you. We cannot wait to start deputy dog classes when a spot comes up!
Laura Hinchliffe: I attended the Puppy Classes in Barnsley and it was a great thing to look forward to every week. Super helpful in understanding the life skills a puppy should have. Feel like I’ve come away knowing both me and my puppy learned a lot.The teacher is really friendly and super helpful.Would 100% recommend!
matthew jarvis: My two Spanish Water Dogs got really excited whenever we arrived in new places in the car, they would bark until they got out of the car and once on the lead they would pull constantly with excitement making it very difficult to walk them calmly in new places. I had a one to one training session with Neil which was fab! It has only been 4 days since the one to one session and I can already see a remarkable difference, with the training strategies that Neil showed me they are working a treat..The difference with walking with the leads is amazing, to be honest the very next day after the training it was as if they knew what I wanted from them, what a difference it has already made to our daily walks. If your furbabies are testing those boundaries just give them a call I would highly recommend this training school to anyone. Thanks again Neil you are a star!!Sharon, Stanley and Pinto

The Dog Training Company Sheffield: what do users think?

Rebecca Doherty: We have loved being part of the Sheffield’s Yorkshire Dog Training family over the last few months! We couldn’t recommend Adam enough. The level of education for ourselves and our girl has been outstanding and all of our friends and family have noticed such a difference in Coco. We have gained so much more confidence in her! Forever grateful for Adam’s help.

Jo Rowland: Enzo and I will be forever grateful to the Yorkshire Dog Training Company, your team have definitely changed our lives for the better. Enzo has continued his boost training at the new Sheffield site and we were extremely impressed. The facilities were fabulous and the team were amazing. They have given me the confidence to take what I have learnt in the training centre out into our everyday lives. I honestly cannot stop recommending you guys to anyone and everyone that needs help with their pooches. Thank you so much

Megan coakley: Couldn’t recommend YDTC enough, we took our 9M old Rottie for training on our relationship with her and implementing that we are the leader of the pack as she had slipped into thinking that she was in charge. Adam was amazing and talked us through how Ruby’s brain works, we opted for 5 x sessions and 1 boost session - we saw a good improvement in Ruby’s relationship with us when it comes listening to us, she massively improved on heal work, generic walking and her recall is well on the way. We will definitely continue with everything we’ve learnt and if you are Yorkshire based I would highly recommend this company! Massive thanks to Adam.

Rebecca Rusby: AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING I Worked with Adam at Sheffield to get my golden retriever (Loki) confident around other dogs. He is fearful and reactive at times when dogs, approach, and the way Adam and the team, break down the problem into really useful references makes it easy to understand why Loki is behaving a certain way and how I can adapt my guidance to ensure we build a better relationship. If driving to the Sheffield branch the best place to park is in the Tinsley Park golf course car park (you will go under yellow metal gates to get into the car park)

Graham Harrison: Cannot recommend enough - Adam and team have made such an impact on our high-maintenance doberman through bespoke and smart techniques. You build results over time and the training adjusts as you go along. A+++
Valerie Birks: We were recommended the Dog Training Company by a friend after going through a lot of issues with our dog including reactivity, house etiquette, general obedience and aggression. We desperately needed help as it had all got too much and all I can say is Adam has changed our lives. We had 2 boost days and 3 hours of individual sessions and saw a massive change in our dog after the first boost day. Adam has taught us so much about the best way to communicate with our dog with non-treat based training and he is much more well rounded and relaxed these days. I can’t recommend working with Adam enough!
janek tusiek: Hi thanks im start trening why Adam Coco can sitting down she can coming back wen im tell her she run aut for my not 1 time where im start trening im start see rezultaty very fast now im can pas people pas dogs and her is close too my not runn now come back when im need call her im really like and is good because excellent too my sometimes need ask a question not problem evtime send massage back 1000% good very frendly thanks you so much for whot we done together
Ben Wothers: We had a 2 year old miniature dachshund, she couldn’t be left alone for more than a few seconds. She was incredibly nervous around people & other dogs. Leaving the house was incredibly stressful for us & her. We’d tried 2 dog trainers previously, whose advice was essentially to bribe her with treats. Which meant her behaviour was tied directly to us feeding her and just didn’t work for us.We contacted Yorkshire Dog Training & met Adam who provided a thorough assessment & offered us multiple plans. From the off, Adam was honest around the time we would need to invest in training & the incredible level of support he could offer in addition to the pre-booked sessions. We noticed an immediate difference in our dog following the first full day. Adam provided relatable & articulate explanations as to each action we needed to practice between sessions & implored patience to provide the best experience for us & our dog. Trusting Adam with our training experience has lead to a more confident dog, who can freely walk without barking. She is patient & much safer around roads, no longer pulling on the lead. 95% of the time, she is silent when in a public setting & Adam provided us with advice on dealing with the 5% of times she’s a little unruly. Lastly, we’ve had our social lives returned due to us being able to leave the dog at home without worrying. We can’t thank Adam & Yorkshire Dog Training enough for the time & effort contributed to help us truly change our dogs life & ours.
Megan Slack: We can’t thank Adam at the Sheffield Centre enough. We have a very energetic 3 year old GSP and he is like a different dog to when we started the course. We are now able to fully enjoy our adventures. If anyone is considering using this company, i would definitely recommend! The past three months have definitely been challenging however we are now reaping the rewards. Thank you so much
zhu coulson: Adam is professional and patient through the course. He always find the details we looking for, definitely recommend to anyone need professional dog training since this is not treat reward based and it helps a lot to fully understand your dog and how to make them comfortable with our social life. Five stars for sure
Joseph Welch: Amazing service. We took a course for our Springer Spaniel and the progress was amazing. I'd never owned a dog before and the course was great for teaching me how to properly train my dog. Adam ran out course and I will be forever grateful for how much he helped or dog and us.
Damian Smith: Fantastic work with our Labrador who before going was a nightmare on the lead, she took us for a walk and it was never an enjoyable experience. She is now much better enabling us to have 'fun' walks without a constant battle with her. We most definitely recommend this company and Adam who we worked with at the Sheffield centre.
Jo Rowland: Enzo and I will be forever grateful to the Yorkshire Dog Training Company, your team have definitely changed our lives for the better.Enzo has continued his boost training at the new Sheffield site and we were extremely impressed. The facilities were fabulous and the team were amazing. They have given me the confidence to take what I have learnt in the training centre out into our everyday lives. I honestly cannot stop recommending you guys to anyone and everyone that needs help with their pooches. Thank you so much
Aiden Hodge: Can't thank adam and rihannon enough for their help with our cocker spaniel border collie crossWe was really at an impass with him and struggling to walk him let alone train him. They showed us what we needed to do and how to do It and the training started to stick. We slowly started to see our dog turn into the wonderful well behaved dog that we could enjoy at home and at the park we can't thank them enough for there help and advice.
Rebecca Rusby: AMAZING AMAZING AMAZINGI Worked with Adam at Sheffield to get my golden retriever (Loki) confident around other dogs. Cliffe Kennels & Rescue: what do users think?

Ami Scott: Cannot recommend Roz enough. We have adopted two dogs from her now and she is always at the other end of the phone to give support and advice.

Richard Amos: Extremely impressed with Jackie who looks after the rescues. We adopted a rescue from here solely on the back of meeting Jackie and seeing how knowledgable and caring she was about the dogs here. It’s a commercial kennels and has all the usual challenges of a day to day business, but there is no doubt the dogs here are well cared for and needs taken seriously. Our little Rue is very happy and clearly had been given a good bit of love before we took her.

Mike Redmond: Great experience, adopted a mixed breed Romanian rescue. I am so impressed at the obvious care and attention that must have been given to this beautiful dog. She has settled into the family so quickly and easily, she is fun and happy. Thank you Ros, Jackie

David McDonnell: Very friendly and helpful we got Malky a beautiful cross breed lovely dog

Garry Picken: Our first time and for Buddy (the dog) and it will not be the last. Thanks a lot.Glenda & Garry Picken

Gill Clarke: We collected our Romanian rescue dog from this Kennel and it was a lovely experience. Someone came out to greet us at the car and sent us to the correct building. Roz guided us through the information we needed to know and brought our little dog out to us. She was really lovely and she carried our dog out to the car and fastened her in. Roz had been so helpful during the whole adoption process I would definitely feel comfortable using this kennel if I wanted to board an animal

Claudia King: Roz & the team are fabulous. Such a lovely kennels. Clean & tidy. So thankful that "Duke" could come home with us today. My mum is over the moon.
ruth oxtaby: Always got all our rescues from cliffe kennels, wouldnt go anywhere else. We have recentley adopted a staffy called Rico and he's the best, lovely around people and other dogs. Thank you Cliffe kennel you have made one family happy again.
Giles Davies: Been there many times. Drop cat off and pick up cat later. Tick.
Emily Walland: Our two german shepherds come here regularly. Wouldn't use anywhere else, our boys are always looked after and come home happy.
simon horlock: Lovely freindly people who really love the dogs there
Tami Jade: WOMAN AT RECEPTION THREATENS PEOPLE WHO RING TO QUERY WHY THEY HAVE ALLOWED A DANGEROUS DOG TO BE HOMED WITH ME AND MY FOSTER CHILDREN.
Gracie Dyson: Avoid at all costs. Our dog was taken to Cliffe Kennels by the dog warden after she had managed to escape the back garden. When we picked her up (thankfully she had only been there a couple of hours) she was absolutely covered in cobwebs and VERY mucky! She also developed kennel cough within the same week!
Martha Collins: They take good care of my Roomie, always use them.
Tracy Kemp: Lovely team very caring thanksAnimal Ark Pet Transportation
Vicky Tindle: Excellent.
Rosemarie Lee: They didn't have any dogs that were suitable for me
Caz Hurst: I got my 🐕 from here, best £250 I'd spent in a decade 💕❤💛💜💓💚💞
Barry Conolly: Went to meet our forever dog and he will be coming home with us soon, great set up nice easy process and very reasonable fees, they do a fantastic job and would recommend more people come and give some more dog's loving homes
paola davies: Great place. Taken good care of 4 various cats for us over the past 20 years.
Jeff Whetton: We have adopted Labradors from cliff kennels 4 times over the years
Thomas Conroy: Looked after my dog whilst I Was ill and dog seemed happy there... Thanks
swirl world: Critical:ProfessionalismI found the lady ( I believe to be manager) extremely impolite, unwelcoming, patronising and very unprofessional. I have had contact with rescue centres for many years and I would definitely not recommend this one. Shame for the animals.
Diane Demers: Do you remember Ivy from 4 years ago

Blue Cross rehoming and advice unit, Sheffield: what do users think?

Will: Appreciate what they do, but not a fan of them calling door to door for a "chat" when people may be working from home.

Lisa Cook: My son and girlfriend adopted a guinea pig from here and were delighted with the care and time taken with the adoption ,, the Guinea pig (keith) arrived with food insurance and information necessary to integrate him in with there other 2 Guinea pigs . These guys do fabulous job and the care these animals receive is second to none. Thank you to blue cross Sheffield .

Pauline Mclean: Really lovely staff.my granddaughter adopted a Guinea pig he is really loved and spoiled thank you X

Zoe Burton: Great run charity, have lots of fostering options, do not put a healthy dog down unless extreme behaviour that cannot be rectified. They try so hard. They offer flexible fostering options which is great. You can drop the foster dog off before work and pick it up again after work and also can borrow foster dogs for the weekend etc, not all the time but fantastic idea if the dogs get stressed out in kennels.

Phyliss Anita Cole: Made me feel I was doing the right thing via my pets didnt judge me one bit was very understanding of my circumstances rehomed 2 cats and in process of rehoming our 3rd cat with them I love how u keep them with you up until a home is found for them they dont point finger if you havent kept up vaccinations of ur pet they sort all that out making the whole process easier.

Bethany Rigby: Really non judgemental and felt really reassured that my cats were going to be well looked after whilst they were rehomed. Thank you blue Cross 💙

Jemma Richards: This place really helped me a lot, rehoming my cat 🙀 they were very helpful, understanding and sympathetic, they find a home that suits the animal.

Julie Taylor: Fantastic staff and brilliant aftercare after rescuing our beautiful spaniel from Blue Cross 🐾🐾

Diane Davies: Super fantastic helpful they took an homeless cat off the street

Sheffield Dog School: what do users think?
Donna-Marie Robinson: Thank you so much to Steve for coming and helping us get our 8 month old GSD under control on the lead. I’m so shocked at how different Smokey was on the lead and I’m excited to be able to continue taking Smokey out again with the things Steve taught me and guidance I was given. 5 stars and highly recommend! Once again thank you so much!
Emma Tagg: What an amazing experience and outcome from Sheffield Dog School. Our 2 and a half year old greyhound, Robin, was struggling a little on the lead, after stopping mid-walk it was impossible to move him, as well as only going where he wanted to go. After a couple of hours with "cheesy" Steve, he was a different pup walking. We now all enjoy our walks together, without us getting frustrated or sad. Steve was knowledgeable, calm, understanding, friendly and within half an hour got our nervous dog eating out the palm of his hand. Thank you so much, you have no idea how much you have helped us all. Emma and Lee
Danielle Whiteley: Steve came to us and worked with our 10 month Terrier Cross, Teddy. Prior to this we were at our wits end, and didn’t know where to turn, after throwing good money after bad on training classes I did a more thorough search on the internet and came across Steve @ Sheffield Dog School.Teddy was unhappy walking near other dogs & people constantly barking, growling & lunging. Nothing worked with him.Steve spent a few hours with us, within 10 minutes Teddy was 100% better (no exaggeration). It turned out to be a fantastic afternoon & experience, I can not recommend Steve enough, he is straight talking, easy going, great to get along with guy. His love & affection towards dogs definitely shows. An outstanding trainer, who knows his stuff! After Steve left we took Teddy for his late afternoon walk, he was a totally different dog, he encountered 3 dogs at different sizes with no issues at all. The result have been instant.Thank you for all your help Steve, we really appreciate it.Danielle, Dennis & Leum
Denise Willetts: Steve came to help us with ruby our mini schnauzer who was barking and lunging at strangers and cars ! Within 15 minutes we had stopped the barking with Steve’s advice. It would appear it was fear and we were not showing enough leadership. Believe me we could not expect such an instant response that if it wasn’t for being there I would have doubted it could be done. We now walk Ruby without any barking 99.9% of the time, she’s still only 6 months so not yet 100% with everyone but we keep on with Steve’s advice. We can not recommend Steve high enough, he’s a magician. Thanks again Steve
Stacey Lea: Appointment was available at short notice. Very friendly, understands my dog really well. Gave me the tools to be able to improve Lincoln’s teenage attitude. Overall really happy with the service today.
Tracy Wilcock: Steve came to help with the issues of lead pulling and lunging that my six month old German Shepherd Lexi has. Within five minutes of Steve entering the house, he had her literally eating out of his hand. He is patient, so unbelievably knowledgeable and down to earth when explaining what to do. Within about an hour going on a walk , her lead pulling was non existent and she was so much more relaxed around people. I myself got quite emotional as it was a pleasure to take her out and such a relief. Thanks Steve.
michael fletcher: Steve came to us and worked with our Springer on anxiety issues. Breck was unhappy walking near other dogs. We had an outstanding time, Steve is a great guy, clear and practical. Totally clear as to what to do and he showed how to do it. He loves dogs and shows affection. The result has been instant. Breck by the next day is meeting other dogs, walking by them and the reaction has stopped. We are very happy because it was causing us a great deal of worry. Our thanks to Steve, an outstanding job, he is a great dog trainer. Mike and Pam.
Sharon Ward: Steve came out to help with our 2 year old rotti, he was pulling on lead and lunging at dogs and people. He rectified the issue immediately and within 24 hours we were enjoying walks again. I no longer feel anxious and dreading taking him out. I can’t thank him enough for helping us.Thank you Thank you Thank you !
Adam Fox: Highly recommend! We contacted Sheffield dog school to help stop our 14 month old Labrador from pulling on the lead. We also struggled to get him to settle, he would always be eager to play regardless of the level of daily exercise. Steve visited us and spent time to determine some practical methods that would prevent these behaviours. Just a few days after the visit we had a holiday to Devon. Due to Steves training we were able to have a pleasant break with much better walks and visited many pubs and restaurants with our well behaved pup!
Trevor McDonald: Steve came this morning to see our Cockapoo Stan who is 10 months old. On initial meeting him Stan was frightened of him and wouldn't interact with him at all. Within an hour he had him walking to heel. Responding to recall & curbed his jumping up at people. Along with ignoring other dogs & distractions. By the time he left they were best buddies. He talked us through how to keep the training up & we're now looking forward to having an obedient & happier dog. Can't recommend him enough.
Melanie Hickinbottom: We went to Sheffield Dog School as our 9 month old Cockapoo Daisy was struggling to contain her excitement with other people, dogs and children causing her to jump up at everyone, as well as pulling on the lead. Steve came round and within an hour showed us superb techniques to learn Daisy proper manners and socialisation skills while providing the reassurance that our fur baby would still love us! He was patient, Daisy loved him and we feel we have the knowledge now to make our and Daisy's lives easier!
Dionne Stoddart: Steve came to my house to help with my dog Baxter as he wasn't very good with recall and my confidence wasn't too good either and I was getting frustrated when he wouldn't listen. With in a few minutes Steve got him coming back to me and showing me how to get him to come to me. After today I have already noticed a huge difference with Baxter and I feel that Steve gave me great advice and guidance leaving me more confident and having more knowledge of where I was going wrong. I felt very relaxed and comfortable and knowing he is only a message away if I feel I need more support. Steve also did a fab little d.i.y job to my gate to stop Baxter escaping ( fab job btw Baxter did have a try at it and soon gave up). I would highly recommend, I'm sure Baxter would too. Thank you so much.
Spartacus: I called on Friday and Steve was out the following week. Our Cockapoo Daisy was pulling really bad on the lead and jumping up at every person she met - we tried YouTube and reading online but nothing worked, in one session, Steve stopped the jumping, pulling and gave us the tools & knowledge to continue the walking training. Steve has a practical approach to training which we loved and our Daisy didn’t want him to leave! Would recommend to anyone. Our problems were fairly mild compared to others I see on here but no problem is too small - thanks Steve!
Fran McNab: Steve trained our ten month old Scottish terrier puppy Chapi. He was very aggressive towards other dogs, couldn't even walk past a dog across the road without him showing aggression, after one session Steve was able to help us resolve his issues. He was super friendly, explained things so well and was so good with Chapi, he even gave him a toy. We feel much more confident with our lil pooch now. Thanks so much Steve. Definitely recommend!!!
Fran: Steve came out to help us with our rescue dog as she’s been reacting to other dogs. Just after a couple hours we learnt how to correct her and minimise the reaction. We also covered recall and walking nicer on the lead. With the right equipment and new knowledge we will continue to use Steve’s advise and can already see big improvements! Thank you so much
Chris Taylor: We invited Steve to help us continue training our 6-month-old Goldador as we'd not been making as much progress with her recently. He immediately developed a great rapport with her as he listened carefully to our issues and desires. He made suggestions without being forceful and corrected mistakes without making us feel like idiots! Then he demonstrated his training techniques with our dog, in particular lead walking without pulling, learning to ignore footballs, and stopping jumping up at tables. Results were immediate and we feel much more confident to continue her training.
Emma Stokes: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueBrilliant trainer got a totally different dog very highley recommended
Diane Marquand: Steve came to see us with his dog for a few hours .. Bert was extremely reactive to dogs on his lead .. after 2 behaviourist and no change in Berts behaviour I was apprehensive but thought I would try a trainer . I was amazed how the change happened so quickly and I have to say after 3 days practicing Steve’s technique Bert is already much quiter on his walks and less reactive even the neighbourhood have noticed a difference so no more early screams from Bert .. this is only day 3 and I am looking forward to taking Bert now on long walks with me …amazing , not fully there yet but 50% improvements in such a short time .. Thankyou
Jayne Leonard: Steve came to see our border collie Betsy and have seen genuine improvements since his visit. Would highly recommend!
Laura Booth: Steve came today to help with our Patterdale Terrier Pepsi. Pepsi, while very loving, has problems with pulling on the lead, barking and jumping, and screaming when someone knocks at the door, post comes through the letter box or even just walking past other dogs. Steve was great, super friendly and explained the process of how to deal with each of the issues we are facing and made recommendations for the equipment we need to support Pepsi’s learning. Watching Pepsi with Steve was like watching a different dog all together and I am finally hopeful we are on the right track with him ! Thank you !
Naomi Sutton: We got Beau as a rescue about 4 months ago and have been struggling with a number of issues including controlling his over excitement at wanting to chase EVERYTHING and pulling on his lead. He is also fear reactive and lunging at other dogs which was, all in all, making for some stressful walks.Steve has been twice now and has advised on different collars showing me how to walk him to heel. He has also gently encouraged me to be more dominant with Beau so that he feels safe and less reactive with dogs.Steve is very patient and funny and definitely understands dogs! Beau had respect for him very quickly, demonstrating how well he could behave when shown.Highly recommended 👌

Paws and Play Gundog: what do users think?
Kevin McLean: Lindsay and Sophie are excellent trainers. Just completed a course and my dog's heelwork and recall have improved dramatically, all while having fun!
James Curbishley: Cannot recommend Lindsay enough. Frankie and I have a 1 year old Golden Irish (Golden Retriever x Irish Setter), Red. As first-time dog owners of an energetic large dog, we want him to be well behaved. We went on the Pet Gundog Course after completing intermediate puppy training with another provider. The improvement we have seen in Red whilst attending and after completing the course has been nothing short of remarkable. The main behaviour we wanted to get from the course was recall. We got that (hope I don’t jinx that!), and then some! Heel work, whistle cues, retrieval and steadiness (to name a few). Frankie now has the confidence to have Red off-lead, which is invaluable. Red now really engages with both of us and is far more attentive than he was previously. The setter in him does pose challenges, but from Lindsay’s teachings, these are now seen as learning opportunities. Lindsay is very knowledgeable, friendly and an excellent handler. We look forward to working with Lindsay again in the future. Thank you Lindsay.
Sinead: We have completed two of Lindsay’s courses - the Online Puppy Course and the Pet Gundog Foundations Course and I could not recommend them enough!Lindsay is exceptionally patient and understanding, her knowledge and expertise is second to none. I dread to think where we would be without her!Lindsay’s method of teaching makes the courses fun and engaging for both dog and owner(s) and she is always available for any help or guidance! We have both thoroughly enjoyed the courses we’ve completed so far, so much so that we have signed up for Grade 1!I can’t wait to see how my pup matures, and it’s all thanks to Lindsay! 🐾
Hannah S: We've done puppy class, foundation, grades 1, 2 and 3 with Lindsay (she should probably give a warning at the start that you're going to get hooked!) Lindsay is the most patient, caring person and really wants to see you succeed. Highly recommend joining her classes.
jason chambers: As an absolute inexperienced first time dog owner, with a working lab from an amazing lineage, Lindsay has been a complete rock. Started Mac at 10 weeks, and at 15 months, I'm starting to believe he'll go all the way to competition. Had so much fun (and a few meltdowns (sorry Lindsay)) and I'm not sure she'll ever get rid of us. Lindsay is personable, knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about what she does. Can't recommend her enough.
Gill Parkes: We've completed two courses so far with our labrador puppy, Willow and have learned so much from the experience. Lynsey's style of teaching is clear and concise and the sessions are always very well structured. I always felt puppy classes needed to be as much about what we learned as puppy owners as what our puppy learned and this certainly proved to be the case. Lynsey is very approachable and I felt able to put all my 'daft' questions to her. The whole group were very supportive of each other. We're having a little break now to consolidate on what we've learned but will be back in the Spring.
Jennie Marshall: Vesper & I have just completed level 1 gun dog training with Lindsey and it’s been great. Lindsey has shown us how to get the best out of our dogs while having fun & the right way to go about training, while encouraging us as well. Its been a new experience for me even though Vesper is my 4th dog, a Labrador & my aim was to have a well behaved, good mannered, sociable dog and she is well on her way at 10 months old. We start level 2 today and I really can’t recommend Lindsey enough, in fact I’m thinking of going further with Vespers training, I’m enjoying it so much.
Dom O'C: Lindsay is a first class dog trainer that we wish we'd found sooner. She's extremely knowledgable and more importantly patient with both you and your dog. Despite the difficulties of training over Zoom video calls, her demonstrations and clear instructions were very useful and we would highly recommend her services, especially now that classes are allowed in person.
Liz Edwards: Great tuition & feedback on progress. Easy to follow programme and positive rewards. Fern & I making progress thanks to Lindsay. Thank you Liz & Fern
Jamie Nicholson: Would highly recommend the puppy course - Lindsay is so knowledgeable and her training methods have been really easy to follow...and they work! The Zoom calls have worked really well as you're all training together - the dogs are calmer and there's no standing around waiting for each person to have their turn. Lindsay also offers really useful follow up videos/notes and she's also been very helpful if we have any questions following the sessions. Overall, it's been simple, really fun and effective - looking forward to starting the next course. Thank you 😊
Andrew Phipps: Fantastic dog training!!
JO MCNAMARA: Lyndsey has been an amazing support to us with our puppy Teddy. As soon as we joined the training we were inundated with support via Zoom, WhatsApp and face to face after lockdown down. Getting a puppy can be over whelming at times and having someone as knowledgable as Lyndsey has been a huge help. The training is set in the most beautiful spot and we thoroughly enjoy the sessions. The training classes are relaxed and stimulating and although it’s not easy, you know you can say ‘I’ve no idea what I’m doing!’ and receive support to get it right. You even get homework each week which keeps you engaged and motivated.
Julia Clarke: I have just completed the puppy life skills class with my WCS. We have both thoroughly enjoyed the training with Lindsay who is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful too! My puppy has grown so much more confident, she wouldn't go near Lindsay at the start of the course and often held her tail between her legs, but now she pulls to get to classes and loves Lindsay! Looking forward to starting our advanced classes in a couple of weeks.
Ruth Tunnicliffe: Lindsay it a patient and calm teacher. She has excellent tips for any problems you face and makes sure you’ve thoroughly gripped any content before moving on. Homework is typed up and sent out to avoid any people forgetting. I can not recommend enough and have already booked onto the next course for my Labrador puppy!
Dave Fletcher: I have used Lindsay previously with my first dog and thought her ways of training were great. When we bought our Springer spaniel and found Lindsay did a gundog training we signed her up for the introduction training. The training sessions were fun, helped us remember our basic training skills to pass onto Luna.We have signed up for the next class and are excited to see what else we can teach Luna.Very good classes with a great trainer.
Laura Nicholls: Great classes. I feel like me and my sprocker have learnt a huge amount from the intro classes. We've signed up to grade 1 already and hope to take it even further in the future. I have already and will continue to recommend to anyone with a gun dog breed. 5 stars
Richard Griffiths: We have loved training with Lindsay. Our Sprocker puppy has made great strides since we started working the gundog side of her brain. We have completed the beginner course and have recently started the grade 1 and can't wait to see how she continues to develop under Lindsay's excellent and helpful training sessions. Recommend her 100%
Adrian Doyle: Thoroughly enjoyed Grade 1 and 2 gundog classes. Thank you!!
Andrew Bell: Just done 6 months training under Lindsay guidance passing grade 1 & 2.Lindsay is a great trainer, very knowlegable & paitent. Training is always fun & enjoyable, ive learnt loads off Lindsay since starting back in Jan, with loads more to learn.
Haley Clarkson: Excellent dog trainer, friendly atmosphere recommend 100%
jo belton: Lindsay was fantastic with Bosco from the day we brought him home. First with her one to one training and then in the group classes. He loves her - need I say more
