Waleswood Caravan & Camping Park: what do users think?
Witia Klimky
Witia Klimky: Fantastic site! Huge caravan pitches. Most fully serviced and electric. Good facilities, walking distance down to the lakes. Nice walks, bike ways and water sports to enjoy around the site. Nice restaurant on site and playground for children.
chris upex
chris upex: We had a really great time at this site. Reception area is integrated with cafe that serves alcohol and a selection of basic essentials at really reasonable prices. There is a seating area outside with nice views and then a kids play area as well as table tennis and fussball. The showers and toilet areas are amazing and seemed very clean even well after cleaning time in the morning. Pitches are close together, no fires are allowed, people did adhere to the no loud music after 11 rule which I thought was strict but actually appreciated. Its about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the lake, you can drive and pay parking though. Games and books in the cage to use and they will chuck your freezer blocks in freezer for you. Lots and lots of wasps, take a zapper....
Fiona Lovelace
Fiona Lovelace: Great family orientated campsite. Fabulous views of the surrounding area.Large flat pitches and modern, comfortable shower block. Pleasant licensed cafe with excellent views over the lake. A great place for families to go back to to relax in after the days activities.
Jackie Stones
Jackie Stones: Easy to book on line. Friendly welcome, immaculate facilities. Big pitches but can be expensive in high season. Perfect position for walking to County Park, Gullivers and Golf Course. Cafe/bar area with great views. Lots of cycle routes from the site.
Elizabeth Hoult
Elizabeth Hoult: Excellent campsite. Good facilities well maintained. Reasonable prices in the cafe. Beautiful walks straight from campsite. Only suggestion, in Rother Valley itself there are display boards showing the main paths. It would be great if one of these could be put up by the campsite.
jason whyte
jason whyte: Very good laid out site, they could do with a full time Gardner to cut the grass and deal with weeds as we were there for 2 weeks and they never cut it once.the reception/bar could do with more of a food selection as there is the capability for it. Cleaning at the outside dish washing area would be nice.there was a warden went about at around 21:30 but you only seen him/her when site was very quiet/not busy, when you would like them to check on the louder people. There is lots of cycling routes and it’s a short walk to the water activities from site. I was disappointed at the amount of dog owners that would walk there dogs round the site and not pick up after there dogs. I am a dog owner myself and I always take my dog on holiday with us before anyone comments. I caught one woman not picking up after her dog and her answer was I took the dog to the field so never had bags.you would still have bags with you regardless that says to me that she had no intentions of picking up after her dog.
Jacqueline Jobes
Jacqueline Jobes: Lovely caravan park, facilities 1st class, spotlessly clean. Good sized pitches. Stayed 6 nights Mon-Sun very quiet until Friday then filled up. Staff are so helpful and everyone we spoke to was very friendly and polite. Reception/ bar/cafe was great, bacon sandwiches absolutely lovely and reasonably priced. Couple of early night drinks again very reasonably priced. Fish and chips from van on Friday night were really nice, and had quite a few choices I especially liked the option of small portions.. Nice walk down to Rother Valley Country Park which we thoroughly enjoyed, bar at water park end of lake was great sat and had a drink and enjoyed watching water sports.. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone. Great stay over site 2 mins from M1
Karolyn Gamble
Karolyn Gamble: We had our first stay here in August 2022, having visited Rother Valley Country Park many times before and loving the area. This campsite is absolutely fantastic, great location, great views, clean, light, spacious facilities and brilliant staff all made for a great stay. We will definitely be back 🏕️😁
Matthew Kelley
Matthew Kelley: Just spent 4 days here and I cannot fault the site. It is really well set up with huge pitches. This site has the best toilet facilities of any site I have been to. Big family bathrooms, one even has a bath. They were spotless as well. The site has a nice coffee shop which is also licensed. There is a decent play area for the small ones. The site has excellent views of the valley and is only a 15minute walk down to the lake. The WIFI was also amazing, managed to get the chrome cast working on the tv for streaming Netflix. The site was really easy to get to, no small roads to come down and only a short distance from the M1.

Steve Niblett
Steve Niblett: Refused same day booking for 1 night when we arrived at the site with our camper van. Advised over the intercom so didn’t even gain access to speak to them face to face! Poor service for a touring site when your travelling and don’t wish to make advanced plans.
natasha eardley
natasha eardley: What an amazing site! Large pitches, fantastic shower facilities, clean bin area etc and a lovely cafe/bar with lots of outside area. Short nice walk down to Rothervalley and amazing views. The only thing that could make this site any better would be a dog shower area and a few dog bins scattered about. One of the best sites we have stopped on, re booked for July.Perfect x

Fox Hagg Farm Campsite: what do users think?
Emily Hofer
Emily Hofer: The campsite is very nice. You can easily reach it by bus, it is approximately 20 minutes away from sheffield center, and a 12 minutes walk away from the busstop. The owners are very friendly and uncomplicated. The campsite is simple but nice, clean and quiet. Toilets, showers and a small room for washing dishes are available. The only small thing we were missing was a drying room for clothes ;) We can totally recommend and would stay here again.
Jamie Maclachlan
Jamie Maclachlan: Nice and clean, very quiet, toilet facilities and nice hit showers open 24hrs,and to top it off very (very) cheap i was in my ent and was just £7 per night, cannot fault at all, will return 👍👍
Emily Hurst
Emily Hurst: In a valley so lovely views on both sides, toilet block with two showers was clean and tidy, also a pot washing area. Tap water available at various points. Easily accessible location, much closer to amenities and Sheffield city centre than the the lovely rural environment would suggest.
Rachel
Rachel: Site was fantastic, basic but perfectly adequate and very clean facilities with lovely hot showers. Beautiful setting and base to explore the Peaks. Only reason for not giving 5 * is the access to the site. We have a large twin axle caravan. The route had looked fine from Google maps but you cannot see the camber in the road. We were fortunate not to scrape the bottom of our van on the way in but the thought of leaving the site at the end out our stay did hang over us and cause stress for the rest of our holiday. With planning of angles across the road and careful packing, (thinking about weight distribution) thankfully we managed it ok. There are plenty of marks on the road from people less fortunate! Not a site we will be returning to with a large caravan but this review is not a reflection on the site itself.
Steffan Henson
Steffan Henson: The worst camping experience of my life. The type of people that stay at this campsite are the type of people to ignore the no loud music sign. Of the three nights we stayed at the campsite we were kept up until 2am, 3am and 6:30am with loud music and guest who have no respect or regard for other campers. No-one from the campsite enforced the "No Loud Music" sign and as such it was a horrendous trip. It ruined an otherwise fantastic trip to the Peak District. If you are considering staying at this campsite I would strongly advise against it and suggest you find an alternative site further away from the town.

Rother Valley Country Park: what do users think?
tse13012
tse13012: Great park with plenty of parking and a wide variety of activities for the whole family. We went there during the bank holiday Monday and rented some bikes to ride around the lake. A bit busy around the car park but as soon as you get pass it’s quite a pleasant route to cycle. After our bike ride, we returned the bikes and moved our car nearer to the lake and setup a picnic on the green next to the lake and a group of ducks swam by so we ended up feeding them. Very nice little break.
Joanne Boot
Joanne Boot: We go here regularly and really enjoy. We have a van so park on grass overlooking lake . The facilities are really good whether hiring bikes or boats or doing watersports. There is plenty to do and the walk around the lake is lovely. Also dog friendly Playground: Play area does let the park down a little as no much on it Restrooms: The toilets are basic but ok

We went after a rainy day the path was ok for a push chair. Some sections are a little "bobbly" but we had no problem. Loads of wildlife to see. Everybody was friendly plenty of dog walkers and cyclists. Very clean.
Vee Dubya
Vee Dubya: This is a pleasant spot for a nice walk. The parking is paid for by the hour and works on a registration plate scanning system so you can pay by car on the way out or at the various pay points dotted around. Nice cafe, toilets and a dog friendly place to go inside as well.
Matthew Illman
Matthew Illman: Absolutely love this place, I paddle board here at every chance I get.Simply turn up, pay, and off you go (as long as you have a PFD).Beautiful location and amazing little cafe to grab a coffee and Cornish pasties after being on the water for a few hours.

Macy Dallinson: The location is absolutely beautiful! However as soon as we arrived we were discriminated for being ‘young’. We wasn’t welcomed. In fact, the owner stated “we don’t normally accept you people”. Even though we are family , live locally and just wanted to test out our new tent before we started travelling. All weekend the owners kept asking us if we were drinking, actually he said “on piss” which I think is quite rude. Even though we don’t drink and even if we did that is allowed as we are all over the age of 18.The owners were arrogant, cocky and completely rude to us.On a whole we felt extremely uncomfortable and that’s a polite way of putting it. Unfortunately we would NEVER come here again.

Joe Martin
Joe Martin: Lovely spacious pitches with plenty of room for kids to play on large field. Good hot long (5mins) showers which cost an extra 50p each. Also charges for visitors and extra car. Beautiful walks from the campsite and nearby. Will be staying again, very convenient spot for us, to meet up with family. Looking forward to next stay.
Charles Horn
Charles Horn: This place is a little jem wardens are very friendly and helpful fantastic mobile pizza van on saterday the o nly negotiate is no laundry apart from that perfect would definitely recommend this site
RevTechno Hubby
RevTechno Hubby: Just spent an excellent fortnight back at Ingfield Farm after 8 years. We should have come back sooner. The site is excellent, water and electricity at the caravan. huge and I mean HUGE pitches - 3 caravans in the space most places would try and fit 6. Lots of space in the middle so 6ou don't feel overlooked by anybody who hasn't got binoculars and it also makes the place lovely and quiet. Even when people are being loud you're a long way away from them.Owner Robert and Warden Andrew are friendly, welcoming, caring and make sure that your stay is the best it can be!We have seen someone post negative comments about this place but that person was someone who was causing trouble and didn't like it when Andrew and Robert wouldn't be bullied and wouldn't let them get away with outrageous behaviour.Outstanding site, outstanding owner, outstanding facilities, outstanding warden, outstanding views, outstanding holiday!
Glampers Camping Club
Glampers Camping Club: Great place. Extra great owners and the site warden is additionally helpful and security conscious. Well kept site and the grass is near perfect and great to pitch on. We always have a great stay.
Pitch it Camping club
Pitch it Camping club: We love this campsite. We have been camping many years and we have 11,000 plus followers across social media this includes our Facebook camping group and our webpage. This is a well run campsite and beautifully maintained. We did a full review of this site back in 2021 and we gave it a good 4 stars then and all our recent trips have been just as good. Great, clean facilities, great staff, very helpful and security conscious, which is a big tick in our book! We take our dogs and they love it, dogs can be walked off site and there are lovely scenic walks all around. Please do not walk dogs around the camping field as this is not permitted and for good reason, who wants dog waste on their pitch? Exactly no one.Like any campsite, there are rules so please read them before booking, the rules are there to ensure a pleasant stay is had by all and the warden quite rightly enforces the rules. Anyone that cannot follow campsite rules shouldn’t be camping - simple! If you are looking for a quiet, friendly countryside break then this is the one for you. A great family campsite. And one of our favourites!Regards Darren & Paula x
Josh Bradshaw
Josh Bradshaw: Warden very rude and swore in front of kids avoid if possible been out in caravans 10 years and never had issues but here just went down hill from start left feeling I wasn't a human or worth anythigh I hope people see this and think twice about staying here
Jacki Elliott
Jacki Elliott: We like to stay here when visiting family nearby. There are lovely walks right from the site, and the pitches are huge. Gorgeous views and peace and quiet. Dogs must be on a lead, and exercised off site. This rule is enforced. I note some reviewers don’t like this, but for us it is a huge plus. We have no objection to well behaved dogs, but dogs running free and barking incessantly can ruin a holiday for us. We don’t want random dogs sniffing round our pitch, we have even had them taking food from the picnic table!
Des shaw
Des shaw: It'll do.site is spot on for a weekend away.

Louise Clarke
Louise Clarke: Very clean. Rules are enforced so its very quiet. No fires.
Owen McDonagh
Owen McDonagh: Went to visit friends there neat and tidy site friendly helpful staff will definitely give it a try
Deborah Kaye
Deborah Kaye: Site is clean. Spaces good but very restricted with what you can do. You have to leave the site to walk the dog which is fine but if they need to go late at night the gates are locked. Everything has an extra charge. They charge for visitors per person and per car including charge for children. I stayed for a month so it cost a lot for my family to visit for an hour through day. There are cameras that seem to be watching all the time. I felt very uncomfortable being there. Rules they set regarding dogs only seem to be imposed on certain people instead of everyone. I will not be staying again.
Bobbie M
Bobbie M: Lovely quiet location. Roomy pitches suitable for a car and an awning, although some pitches are on a slope. Friendly accomodating staff. We're regular visitors
Jackie
Jackie: Had a lovely weekend at Ingfield Farm. Really friendly welcome. This is close to home for us but it felt like we Really was getting away from it all here. The camp is a big field with no hard standing but we prefer that, you have electric and water on your pitch and the pitches are big, the most room we've ever had. You really feel like you're in the great outdoors here (some camps feel like a car park for caravans). Most of the pitches are around the edges of the field with a few in the centre, loads of room for the kids to play. There is a small walled of area but don't have any info for that. Lovely views too. The showers are not luxury but they are very decent and clean all the time we were there. The reception sells eggs and icecream and for the adults a Pims slushy 😁. There are a number of reservoirs close by and lots of walks, reception had a good selection of these and great info of the surrounding area.I wish I had taken more pictures but did catch a fabulous sunset. We will be back for another weekend soon!

Pippa Priestley
Pippa Priestley: Beautiful campsite, friendly helpful staff and immaculate toilet and shower facilities. New outdoor dog wash station/bath is a genius idea. Not used the laudry but the machines appear fairly new or well maintained.Only slight downside is the proximity to the main road as lorries continue to go to and from the cement works at hope all night. Easily resolved by ear plugs if your a light sleeper, but found after the first night the sound didn't bother us again.Restrooms: Immaculate new facilities, older showers and toilets are just dated but clean and tidyDog-friendliness: Super dog friendly. Has a outdoor dog bath to give the dog a rise off after a long muddy walk .
Raj Kanda
Raj Kanda: One of the best campsites going. Very Clean and well equipped. I think it’s a family run business and they are lovely people who will always help where they can
Simon Roberts
Simon Roberts: 3 night stay on a hard standing pitch, greeted by a friendly staff member and shown straight to our pitch. Lovely site well organised, facilities clean and in good condition. Plenty of walks in the area Hope village just minutes away (you can hear the Church Bells on Sunday morning). Only downside was our pitch was quite close to the main road and we did have quite a bit of noise from the road quite late into the evening, obviously not alot the site can do about this more a warning if this might be an issue for you.Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly site with facilities and a dog wash.
