Marie A: Had an old debt which I was paying DMS for - was on a payment plan and paying it , then all of a sudden , without me being told by DMS, my debt was sold by them to Intrum Justitia (a terrible debt collector- their legal department is horrendous to deal with). Absolutely fuming about this. Only found out it was sold when I received a letter from Intrum yesterday. Contacted DMS to find out why and got a snotty reply saying “you need to contact Intrum directly”. Disgusting.
Response: Your comments are noted, MA, and I’m sorry that you are unhappy that your account has been sold by us. When DMSL acquired your account, within the terms and conditions of the agreement was confirmation that at any time if DMSL deemed it necessary, they could sell the account to a third-party company, which is the action that we have taken on this occasion. Please rest assured that this transition will not affect the administration of your account moving forward and should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to Intrum directly as they are now responsible for your account. Paigeypops xo: If you are a victim of fraud this company will: waste two years of your life, ask you for multiple personal documents that they never need, spend the better part of a year screwing around. They will eventually take your police reference number and assure you all has been dealt with. They will tell you that it will change from settled to be removed as fraud. And then 8 months later you will still be contacting the credit agencies, providing them with your police reference numbers and BETTER YET the letters from debt managers stating they confirm it’s fraud. What a joke. When you highlight their idiocy they will launch multiple internal investigations that you never asked for and don’t care about. They will pass you around and waste your time. After confronting them for STILL being on my credit file as ‘satisfied’ the same person who asked for my personal letters two years ago has now asked for screen shots of my credit file. I don’t need assistance in locating you on my credit file, I can see you loud and clear. I want proof that you contacted the credit agencies informing them of the fraud. And then I am going to seek legal action, so that you can’t do this to anyone else again.

Yolandi Locke: Horrible company. I have been making regular payments but needed to reset the password on my account. I am unable to make payments until I have access. I have requested several password resets through the account as well as email the company myself with no response. My next step is to contact to FCA and FSA should this affect my credit score in any way.

Over ten months with no response to me proving their account under my name was fraud, only to be met with “oh V12 (who they purchased the debt from) apologised for not responding”. Explained am currently unable to process a mortgage because of them - still, no care or responsibility taken. On top of this am met with an accusing tone every time I initiate a call.

V _: Process is flawed. I keep getting calls from them regarding a debt.However once I confirm my address, the call cannot go further as the address they have on their database is incorrect. Despite letting them know,i keep getting random calls which repeats the same process. I was told there would be correspondence sent to my address which will have my password on it. However I wont receive this if the address is not correct. I cannot pay online as I have no password for my account.(sent via post) How am i supposed to pay when I am not allowed to via phone or online? The process is truly flawed. At this rate, this debt will never get paid due to the security questions on my account,which defeats the purpose.

Fearing the worst I contacted Mitchells hoping that someone might at least be able to offer some advice so close to self assessment deadline. Within minutes Liz contacted me. The first words she said were “don’t panic” within a few emails we had arranged a meeting the next day and after a relaxed, welcoming , understanding and invaluable meeting, Liz had not only answered all my questions that had been bugging me for years, but she had also taken my sea of paperwork and agreed to be my accountant. In no time at all my tax return was ready, I had signed it off and the stress that I felt year after year had gone. Years later Liz is still my accountant and long may it continue. Nothing is to much trouble, every question is answered quickly and in a manner that is easy to understand , support is always at hand and how lucky is it when a meeting with your accountant is actually fun? A thousand thank you’s for such a wonderful highly recommend service.

Ben Goulson: I came into contact with Mitchells after I first met Andrew McDaid at an informal meeting in a restaurant in Sheffield after a strong recommendation from a family member. Upon meeting him I instantly felt relaxed and was comfortable to explain to him the situation which had led to me wishing to close my business. The business was profitable, and everything was good, I simply had a change of personal position which meant I wished to close it down. Andrew said he had a few ideas in mind of how we could do this but wanted a little time to finalise his thoughts on which he felt would be the most efficient way. Shortly after, Andrew called me directly and explained a couple of ideas but recommended a certain route which would be without a doubt the best path to follow. He gave a very clear explanation as to how this would proceed and, feeling entirely comfortable with his opinion I gave him the go ahead. Once the process was in motion I was introduced to Abigail Chadburn who ran the ‘project’ through. It should be noted at this point that Andrew was always just a phone call away and was always at hand should he be needed. He was never too busy to take a call. Abi finalised the cessation accounts and subsequently passed them on to the liquidators to go through a Members Voluntary Liquidation. The liquidators then liaised with Abi, Andrew and myself until the transaction was complete which took only a matter of days. Mitchells continued support throughout the entire process made my life easier. I cannot praise Mitchells enough. They are professional, friendly and always on hand at an instant to be there for any requirements one may have. I will certainly be passing on the recommendation which I got from my family member, onto anyone wishing for an accountant, adviser, or even a just a friendly conversation in the future.

Manager Northhill Care Home: Mitchell's have been an absolute life saver - As complex as the care home sector is when it comes to acquisitions and takeovers, we came to learn that paying minimal for an accountant not having the right expertise simply resulted in an amalgamation of misstated profits in the P&L and overstated figures within the Balance Sheets, we were pulling our hair out as the numbers were just not making sense to not only the business owners but to the banks too. We desperately needed help.We then approached Mitchell's, who listened and spent valuable time to understand the accounts, we had put Mitchell's in touch with the previous accountants to takeover and re-do everything so that we can start fresh and get to grips with what's what. Obviously it was at a fee, but cannot recommend Mitchell's expertise enough.Given the little time frame we had and the deadlines that we needed to achieve, it was quite remarkable how Andrew in particular pulled through and delivered. Ben Goulson: I came into contact with Mitchells after I first met Andrew McDaid at an informal meeting in a restaurant in Sheffield after a strong recommendation from a family member. Upon meeting him I instantly felt relaxed and was comfortable to explain to him the situation which had led to me wishing to close my business. The business was profitable, and everything was good, I simply had a change of personal position which meant I wished to close it down. Andrew said he had a few ideas in mind of how we could do this but wanted a little time to finalise his thoughts on which he felt would be the most efficient way.Shortly after, Andrew called me directly and explained a couple of ideas but recommended a certain route which would be without a doubt the best path to follow. He gave a very clear explanation as to how this would proceed and, feeling entirely comfortable with his opinion I gave him the go ahead.Once the process was in motion I was introduced to Abigail Chadburn who ran the ‘project’ through. It should be noted at this point that Andrew was always just a phone call away and was always at hand should he be needed. He was never too busy to take a call. Abi finalised the cessation accounts and subsequently passed them on to the liquidators to go through a Members Voluntary Liquidation.The liquidators then liaised with Abi, Andrew and myself until the transaction was complete which took only a matter of days.Mitchells continued support throughout the entire process made my life easier.I cannot praise Mitchells enough. They are professional, friendly and always on hand at an instant to be there for any requirements one may have.I will certainly be passing on the recommendation which I got from my family member, onto anyone wishing for an accountant, adviser, or even a just a friendly conversation in the future.

Freddy Potts: Completely useless and actively unhelpful. Just use the phone instead - you'll need to hold but you might actually get your issue solved there. The council have been harassing us with (by their own admission) inaccurate bills for months. Firstpoint itself was useless but I got it fixed in 10 minutes on the phone by a lovely helpful woman there.

robbie brown: Got a parking ticket from Sheffield City Council scroungers got nothing better to do than walk around centre ticketing working people. They wonder why the city centre dead all shops boarded up when council makes everywhere bus gates and one way systems. Sheffield council won't stop till they've shut all the shops and start complaining no one's entering. It's just full of beggers, drunks and druggies everyone else goes elsewhere to meadowhall or parkgate for free parking.

That was 7 weeks ago now.I can’t find an email contact address for direct contact. This is absolutely disgusting. If you don’t pay they are on you straight away but clearly they don’t want to hand your money back.

In October the FULL amount was withdrawn from my account. when i called to say that i have not received any ipad, they told me that their dispatch centre has on file that the Ipad was delivered and received. It took weeks for me to get my money back. They were a nightmare to deal with and not pleasant! i reported them to my bank for fraudulent activity (as this was).

Credit card accepted, order acknowledged, then later that day they rejected my order because "we have been unable verify your details through our confidential order screening security process" and despite having a successful credit card transaction they were asking for a bank transfer. Called them up and they refused to tell me why my ten year old company couldn't be verified by them, because, "confidentiality", and that if I wanted to buy anything they'd need to have bank transfer first. Appalling service, sounded very dodgy, will now definitely avoid.
