Visitors can visit as many times as they like during opening hours with the spring/summer pass. They can explore every corner of the Art gallery or find their perfect spot to re-visit again and again.

Waldemar Januszczak from The Sunday Times described the Art gallery as a place to wander, discover, and be amazed. He mentioned that it is set in a beautiful, landscaped garden laid out in the 18th century.

Visitors can stay up to date on the latest news and projects from the Art gallery. They can also help bring art from local talent and across the world to the beautiful corner of Yorkshire.

The Weston is a beautiful, light-filled space for art, dining, and shopping within the Art gallery. It houses a changing programme of temporary exhibitions and is free to enter and open Tuesday-Sunday and bank holidays.

This summer, the Art gallery will present a body of work by painter Carol Douglas, who is based in York. Douglas paints with acrylics, applying it with rollers rather than the traditional paint brush, building up layer after layer in a palette of warm greys, browns, and mustards.
