Alexandra Private Hospital: what do users think?
Sarah Slater: I was due to have surgery on the 10th March 2023. It was cancelled due to the weather, which I know can’t be helped. I was told my surgery had be cancelled over a a 35 second conversation and in that time she made me feel bad for my disappointment! I was told I would have a rescheduled date in the next week…that came and went and nothing! I emailed with no reply, so went in to the hospital to be told I’ll get the manager to call you…no phone call but and email two days later saying I’d have a date by the end of April. Yes you guessed it, still no date two weeks in! I can’t express how much their actions have affected my mental wellbeing! I was always waiting for the email with my date of surgery! Yet NOTHING!! The only correspondence was after I’d emailed. I then read their CQC report!! It’s disgraceful! I know for a fact that CQC went back into the hospital on 7/3/23 because I saw they’d signed in. There is something extremely wrong with this hospital. Please do not consider going here! After waiting for eight weeks I’d had enough and got my money back. They have turned what was an exciting time for me into nothing but stress, upset and disappointed! I wanted to stay local to support our business, but this is one business that should be shut down! Please DO NOT GO HERE! There are two other reports on her fro m other ladies, please take note They are a disaster waiting to happen…
Abbie Henderson: I enquired about breast augmentation on the 17th of march.My email was left unanswered all week, I ended up phoning as I had not heard anything to be told they would get in touch as they were “sorting their clinics” nearly a month on and no communication.I have since read CQC reports which are utterly damning and explain why the whole experience so far feels ‘shoddy’I certainly won’t be going ahead with surgery as their communication is pretty poor, especially with potential new patients. I’m glad I had the time to read CQC reports and I highly recommend any potential patients do the same, who would want to be operated on in a dirty theatre? Not me! Or turfed out after major operations with just a biscuit.This hospital needs to do far better! Won’t be surprised if it’s closed soon to be honest.
Jennah B: I was booked in for surgery in March 2023. It was cancelled the day before due to the snow which couldn’t be helped. I was reassured it would be rescheduled quickly and probably the next week or the week after. I was also told that I’d be given a new date in the next day or 2. I chased it daily to be told no. No not yet. Haven’t heard from the surgeon yet. I was getting so stressed about it all it was really affecting my mental health. I asked for a refund because I felt nervous about them having £11k of my money which I did get promptly. I said I’d rebook when they got back to me with a date. Here we are more than 5 weeks since that date and still haven’t heard a word. I emailed them about a week and a half ago saying that I find it hard to believe that 4 weeks later there’s still no date and I felt as though it was personal. I said I was appalled by how I was being treated given that I was a private patient. I didn’t even get a response. It made me question just how safe I would have been here. As the other review (Amelia Bacon) said, it was down to me to constantly chase chase chase. I felt like a pest keep phoning them but it was the only way I got an update which always ended up being no update. I feel as though something else is going on here and I personally would just have appreciated a bit of honesty and also someone contacting me to tell me there was as still no date but I’ve not been forgotten instead of me phoning and emailing. I can’t tell you how devastated I was and how much it has totally ruined the experience for me.I felt bad for the receptionist Jess who really did go out of her way for me but as for everything else - a sham. I was even going to be discharged 2-4 hours after a double operation and all I’d get was a biscuit or a bit of toast lol. I’ve now booked elsewhere and they were horrified that I was going to be discharged the same day. They’re keeping me in for 2 days and the chef cooks your meals from scratch like in a fancy restaurant. The hospital I booked at was bright and modern with coffee machines and snacks. That’s what I want when I’m handing over thousands of pounds for private treatment. Even the cleaners were really friendly. I’ve not had to chase them once and they’ve done things when they said they would and I’ve not been left not knowing or questioning things constantly because I don’t feel informed.That snow was probably the best thing that could have happened. If I could give zero stars I would!! Terrible experience.
Amelia Bacon: Shambles. Had my surgery booked for months and repeatedly chased Alexandra by phone and email to book my pre-op assessment and even pay the balance for my surgery! All things which should be organised by Alexandra and not me (the patient) chasing for. I was reassured a couple of weeks prior I would be booked in for my pre-op assessment shortly. I then received an email in the evening one week before my surgery that it had been cancelled. Not even the courtesy of a phone call. The only explanation given for this being staff shortages. After not being able to get through to the hospital by phone or email again I attended in person to find out what was happening and if there was any way my surgery could still proceed. I still have no news on any dates and at this point have zero confidence in the care I would receive from Alexandra had the surgery taken place. If you want a high standard of service and care simply don’t use this hospital.
Kirsty: I had a breast implant removal, by Davide Constantino. The Surgeon was very honest, with a lovely bedside manner and professional. The hospital staff, including the nurses and reception staff were all very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this Surgeon, and would revisit the hospital if I require any further treatments. Far better than my previous experience with Transform.
Rachael Carter: Well I had a breast enlargement 14 years ago by mr Fitzgerald people can’t tell I’ve had them done they look so natural and my daughter is now wanting breast enlargement so for her 21st birthday I will be treating her and I wouldn’t send her anywhere else but here

Slight delay going into theater of a few hours but apart from that everything was great I'm really happy with the results so far would definitely recommend 😊

Why I am saying this...wellWhen I was carry to surgery and had my branula atached to my hand instead to hear encouragment's and i will be k and things like that...i heard how tired and lack of sleep my anestesist had and story about them.Also for the amount of money paid a toast or sandw🙄🙄 really🤦‍♀️I know is a hard job and very stresfoul but guys you chose it and we are not a piece of meat we are people also and scare even if it's beauty surgery.Thanks
Jade Brown: I had a breast uplift with implants here on 26th July 2021. The procedure itself was booked with a surgeon through Enhance Medical. The hospital staff on the day were all really lovely and informative, so pleasant and reassuring. The hospital and my room was very clean. The hospital was so quiet - I didn’t see another patient all day. I couldn’t fault it. The nurses and anaesthetist on the day and the morning after were absolutely brilliant. I’m so happy I chose to have my procedure done here. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at the hospital.
vicky Spark: I had a tummy tuck on 7th December 2020. When entering the building to leaving the staff where all so lovely and kind. Made me feel so much at ease. Everything was explained to me from the nurses, healthcare assistants, anesthetic and surgeon. After the surgery I was very well looked after. The hospital was lovely and clean and definitely recommend. I would like to say a massive thank you to you all.

Paulina Jablonska: I have been coming to the clinic in leeds for over a few months now to see the surgeon Mr Mahdi, about the small lump under my breast after my operation. I didn't get any care from the clinic or Mr Mahdi. His advice is to buy a new bra because it's not his fault and he doesn't know why this lump is there. Zero professionalism and no care. In addition to all this, I have been waiting for £200 compensation for over 2 years, because two days before the operation the cleaning lady shredded all my documents and they had to reschedule my surgery. They have been saying they are already sending it but so far I have not received anything. I chose this clinic with the thought that I would receive professional care during the operation and also after the operation. Unfortunately, after the operation, I did not receive any care.
