Mohammed Asif: Shopfloor assistant was very helpful and got me what I needed but both cashiers felt it's was more important to talk amongst themselves rather than paying any attention to who is around them
Paree K: Shockingly terrible customer service - I was ignored for 10 minutes standing alone at the collection/returns point, even though at least three members of staff kept making eye contact and then proceeded to ignore me without even so much as an acknowledgement or an "I'll be with you as soon as I can". Eventually I approached someone to ask to be served and they asked another member of staff to help me, who then walked away; again, without a word of explanation. I felt invisible and disrespected and it has put me off using Currys again. The only saving grace was Aamar, who came straight to help me when he had finished helping another customer outside. Thank you so much for being so helpful and attentive, Aamar!
Shannon Garner: Quite honestly, the worst customer service I have ever delt with. For starters, they pretended the store was closed (it was 7pm, the store doesn’t close till 8pm) the store assistant just stood there staring into thin air, hoping the customers at the door would go. When they eventually opened the door, I needed assistance with purchasing a freezer, I went to the till for help and got told there was nothing they could do for me - even though they had the freezer in stock (I checked online) I asked them if they could call the Bracknell store to check stock and got told there is no point - the managers exact words were “that store is useless - we don’t do phones, it’s not our thing to answer incoming calls” furthermore, the employees were rude and the manager did not want to help anybody, he had his children running wild in a store, telling customers to go away as they entered the store.I’m not even sure how this shop is still open, but save yourself the journey and just go to the Bracknell branch because the Reading Gate one is not worth your time travelling to. If I could give this store 0 stars, I would.

Jakob was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Overall Really good service. Reminded me of old school retail where customer was king and Manu really looked after us. Well done guys.

Gideon Ferber: Terrible service. No way to get anyone on the phone. No replies and no communication. Stay away.
Jefferson: STAY AWAY. This is very much a company in decline who can not be trusted with your money. No one is ever working in the Carphone Warehouse section during their stated business hours, and the phone number just puts you on hold and then hangs up on you. Buy directly from a carrier or on Amazon, you will have a much better experience. Also, the £150 trade in is a lie check their Trustpilot reviews they always seem to find a way to weasel out of it or steal your phone and not reply to you. CAN NOT BE TRUSTED

Presumably because Carphone Warehouse use less-than-GDPR-compliant methods to scrape numbers. This is not the first call I’ve had from them either.I never have shopped or enquired with this company.
Cátia Antunes: Went there to get some equipment that was advertised on Curry's online shop at a cheaper price but upon arrival was double the price. Staff then informed me that prices change on a daily basis. Very upset and feel like their strategy is very sketchy.

Reevsie57: CEX was the place to go for my son's birthday as he wanted a PSP, which is not made anymore so you go here and buy a reconditioned one. I was dubious about buying second hand goods like this but I needn't have worried. The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and are really very nice young people (oh I'm getting so old!). Everything is tested, obviously different levels of appearance and quality, but all in good working order. It's a great place to buy older models and even trade in things that you no longer want.

He said, "No".He was absolutely clueless.Then he said "Check them online", AFTER telling me he can't order one for me.As I already knew O2 in Maidenhead has them (I've already seen it in their shop) , I am going to sign up for it, today.well I won't be returning to O2 in Reading, never.

Wojciech Kowalczyk: Been the customer with Three for 10 years+, went to the shop on Sunday to discuss phone upgrade as I do prefer dealing F2F. What I have experience is shocking!. Have seen the deal ( in front of the shop on a stand ) and I said that I would like to go for it. Eimaan person I have been dealing with. She said that I can have this deal as an existing customer, so I said let's go for it. Then she said to me that they are doing further checks and back up the deal from me.....saying that I can't have it!!! and that she has never told me / offered me this deal!!! This is what you are experiencing even when you dealing with them F2F. Unbelievable....then a manager came out - Angelo - who told me that they will check with Three if they can offer me the same deal......Guess what, it is Wednesday and I still haven't heard back from them!! Stay Away from them and go elsewhere....been offered a deal with Vodafone £9 up front cost for the IPhone 14, 24m contract for £42 a month!!!!! Never again to deal with this unprofessional staff at Reading Branch. Safe yourself the trouble and use a professional company and people to deal with.I am really unhappy with their service.

Marc Knight: Stopped off here on the 5th April to discuss completing an early upgrade. Half the staff clearly didn’t want to be there, the other half were just sat around in the back playing around.When I arrived I was taken to a table at the back by a small woman. When we sat down the guys joking around started to talk to her and distract her. I let her know what phone I was after and how much data I needed. She then quoted me a higher monthly cost than I expected (I had already researched on the Three website) and only told me that included the protection bundle after I had decided to leave it.The complete lack of customer service, the unwelcoming atmosphere and the fraudulent way of including bundles without telling the customer was discussing. I fully planned to do my upgrade that day but this experience has fully put me off and I’m now considering swapping networks.Hopefully anyone else that comes here double checks exactly what they’re being quoted for!!

After having called customer service and saying that I wanted to cancel my contract he said I'd have to pay a cancellation fee so I called Reading branch as it's where I set the contract and the man on the phone hung up on me because he said it had nothing to do with them and that I'd have to call customer service again... shockingly bad service and horrendous company to go with

J C: Do not go near for a Samsung Repair, Z Flip 3 with peeling screen protector known issue refused the warranty repair for scratches on the back glass no other damage on the phone just wear and tear from 18months of use.Avoid Avoid Avoid
Jerome Maily: Avoid if you need to get your Samsung phone under warranty to be repaired. The staff looked at the phone, confirmed good condition in writing.4hrs later, I received a call to confirm my phone couldn't be repair under warranty due to 2 damages on the phone so I would have to pay.1- next to the fingerprint sensor (this is in fact the shiny plastic that is wearing off)2- damage on the hinge which I struggle to see.The phone is working fine beside a small 2mm diameter black spot starting to appear on the crease.Probably they will respond strict guideline etc... Save your time and get it collected for repair.I got mine repaired by Samsung, returned within 7 days.In the picture the small spots are residue from the tape of the phone cover.I would not trust that shop for any deals if this is the way they do business.

I called the store to check if the service was available (as it would be a significant journey) only to be told that they would have no idea unless I went there and the phone booked into their system. I replied saying that it was too significant a journey to leave it to chance, I was told 'ok' and that ended the conversation!

Iain Marshall: Wait time 1 hour. Staff incredibly unhelpful when they didn't understand their own systems. It was really unclear of what the function was of the shop itself beyond helping customers understand how their phone worked. They weren't able to process.offers on their own website, as a business model it was very odd. One person could have been employed to fiddle with technical problems and one person hand out store deliveries because beyond that the staff were unable to function. No idea if EE do any QA on their own assets but I have no idea how anyone believes that adds anything to the brand. The young man who had just started was very polite but wasn't allowed to perform any useful functions, felt unfair to use him as a stop gap before someone else could help.

Even though I decided to stay on my currant plan she couldn’t have helped me more if she tried! Lovely girl! :)

Ehsan Poures-hagh: as a person who work in customer service for more than 25 years, my experience in EE shop was unbeleibly bad, i took my google mobile to fix, it says minimum 2 hours to check. they called me back and said they found the problem cost is £170 and part needs to be changed, my first question was do you have spare part ready? or you want to order it?their answer was shoking, we dont know what the problem is, and as result we dont know what part we need, and technician doest talk to us (customer service team) without receiving money!!! you should pay or we hang off phone!!! after few question i asked ok please start fixing i can pay over phone, they said : NO we wont start till you come to shop and do payment in person!!! which i found out they could start fixing by me saying YES over phone and pay before collecting my mobile.how engineer knows the cost of fixing withouit knowing the issue? if he knows the issue and cost of it how he doest know if the required part is availabe or not?very rude team, bellow zero customer service, and they mentioned this customer service is EE policy and they cant change it!!!!, if you can avoid the EE shop in Reading town , DO IT.
