The Gym Group Reading Central: what do users think?
chinta hareesh: Nice and hygiene.
Bindu Gopakumar: Great place
beah: TLDR: No longer 24hrs, stressful atmosphere ever since change in working hours, always cramped due to change in working hours. also NO HIP THRUST MACHINE?????? IN 2023?????? it has already been proven that doing hip thrusts without the assistance of a machine can be extremely dangerous for women due to the pressure it puts on our reproductive organs.used to be decent for the membership price (£20), however it is no longer 24hrs and the membership no longer seems worth it. the gym now closes at 10pm, however, it becomes impossible to workout after around 7pm, as staff starts rushing to clean the space which creates a very messy, stressful atmosphere, as you’re trying to workout, there’s someone vacuuming next to you.
Vishnu Somadula: Hello Sir, I really enjoy training in this gym, environment is friendly and machine are very good conditions. However I have only one request to members of staff to please switch On all the light specially in rush time in evening, due lack of brightness the gym ambience looks bit dull.I have been to other branches such as Wembley Park, Feltham and Kingston as well but they don’t that. After talking to one of the member stuff in gym he suggest me to write email to gym about the situation.Thank you
nikki pillai: The most disgusting gym i’ve ever been to for various reasons. Used to come here a couple of years ago and despite being small, the layout was good and not overcrowded. Went back last night after years and firstly it stank of BO in the most vile way possible. Never ever seen such sweaty, smelly people in my life to no fault of their own. The AC was definitely not working, or no ventilation. People were dripping and I could barely breathe in there from the humidity and smell. Also the layout is so overcrowded with equipment so close to each other with no space between people. It’s now no longer open 24/7 either and really ridiculous to close at 10pm. Sort the AC or ventilation, the layout, and the timings please because this membership is so not worth it otherwise. Disgusting!!!
dennis bazitov: The only gym from this company which is not 24hrs, also despite it saying it closes at 10pm the last 2-3 weeks it has just been closing randomly during the day. Very Poor management.Would not recommend
Nevin Li: No longer 24 hours
N Jaz: Clean, friendly staff and great gym.
Rahul Goswami: This is the best place to get toned and ripped.
Sibashish Mohapatro: Great place to workout. Superb space, equipments & trainers. Its been 4 years plus now. I live 40 mins away by bus, but still come to the same gym.Shabaz been very helpful in attending small stuffs. Plus all others - Gian, Owen, etc.Cherios.
Ruxandra Gheorghiu: always the best experience. amazing location and everyone is so friendly! can't recommend the gym reading central enough!
Ghazala Fasal: Amazing gym and amazing welcoming and helpful staffThank you guys
Megan Davidson: Myself and my partner come to The Gym Reading Central consistently! The PT’s and GM are always super friendly and welcoming, and are always on hand if you need any help. The equipment is brilliant, and it has a brilliant atmosphere in general!
Alana Samuel: clean, good staff
Brendan Arndt: I joined The Gym when my Anytime Fitness went bankrupt. I was hesitant to as The Gym Central is much bigger and a lot more people. But I never feel intimidated here. Lots of mat space and free weights. I have done lots of the classes and the staff are super friendly too 👌
Anne marie Pejcic: Lovely staff and place to work out
nick bowcock: Since joining a few months ago, I’m glad to report that the staff on the floor are always helpful and smiling and the general feel of the whole gym is accepting while some gyms can feel intimidating.Always clean and tidy with good equipment!
Em jai: Fab gym and amazing friendly staff!
Ready2 Spray: Wild in less than a month you slash opening times from 24hr to closing at 10pm - and now you're raising membership fee!!Hope you go bust
hettyu 347: Amazing gym with great staff such as Shabaz and chad, deffo recommend.
Jeet Doshi: Great gym with all equipments. Best part of this gym are the classes that takes place everyday. Staff if good and friendly in nature.

The Gym Group Reading West: what do users think?
Lynn Carter: Just had the best circuit class ever Emily was brilliant, she needs to be paid to lots more.
tamás boros: Yenga drink machine doesn't work.
Ethan Coffey: Good, clean, spacious, staff are friendly. Great gym and great weight section
Mathias Lundberg: Great gym with full range of equipment for exercising. Always nice and clean, including changing rooms and showers. Personal trainers are friendly and very approachable.
Jarek Stefaniak: Great value for money; very friendly staff and a lot of equipment.
Haider Sheikh: Parking available free
Lovely Jane Tominez: Very busy gym. Clean and tidy and loads of machines to use. What I really love with this gym is it is open 24hrs 7/7.
Dads Tab2: I've looked at the majority of reviews and wonder if they were written by staff. The spin bike saddles slip so you have to keep adjusting it mid cycle. I told the deputy manager over a year ago. A lack of cleaning equipment and 99% of users do not bring a towel or clean machines after use. The manager spends his time in the office. The equipment is looking very tired. I suppose you get what you pay for! On the plus side it is spacious with loads of parking. I made these points on the regular surveys I get sent but nothing changes. Looking forward to seeing what has changed as they've just reopened after three days following a 'refresh'.
renata nantes: I have been a member of your gym for nearly 2 years. Although I would like to continue as a member of your gym, I feel compelled to share my concerns regarding the management of the facility.Firstly, the gym is always dirty everywhere you look, also weights everywhere, which makes it very difficult for members to work out efficiently. I have noticed that many gym-goers do not put their weights away after use, and it seems like the management does not take action to address this issue. In comparison to other gyms in Bracknell and city centre, the difference is huge.Secondly, the cleaners at this gym seem more concerned with their phones and seat at the ladies room all day long rather than maintaining cleanliness in the facility. The toilets are frequently filthy, making it difficult to use them.Overall, I am disappointed with the management of this gym. I understand that managing a gym can be challenging, but cleanliness and safety should always be a priority for everyone.Positive the personal trainers are super nice!
Deborah Guest: Basic gym, there's plenty of equipment so I haven't had to wait to use anything. The classes aren't great and the cleanliness is OK.
SIMMZY: Nice gym
Jake Bentley: Clean and friendly
Daniel Corvo: Best gym I’ve been a member of!
Pham Long: Good gym
Oliver Delacruz: Great layout Aaron was especially helpful and informative
Deborah Ward: Friendly gym. Great staff and great place to workout
Afzaal Ahmed: I'm very happy the gym and staff
Bojan Salej: Great place with lot's of equipment
Kimberley Arscott: Love this gym! Great facilities and team always willing to help you!
Craig Hicks: Great atmosphere, manager is cool 😎
Adrian Santos: West is the best! Highly recommend the gym, clean facility, g good class time table. No gym matches it in the area and I’ve been to a couple!!Both Aaron’s have a great set up. Already looking forward to my next session 🙌🏽

PureGym Reading Caversham Road: what do users think?
Rory Cantellow: PureGym Caversham. First trip here as Basingstoke Road closed for refurb. Impressed. Like the layout. Interesting clientele - different to the Basingstoke OG gang for sure. Equipment and machines well placed. Functional area small and tight. Lots of equipment. Changing rooms a treck upstairs around the houses - bit like being in IKEA. Yeah. Like it. Bonus factor - a lot of posturing and questionable clothing. Hey, it’s the upper class part of Reading right? Good gym. Good atmosphere. Recommended. Ample parking out the back.
ferry shah: Positive:QualityAre the reviews answered by the manager of the gym or by someone superior. ?
Dirthouse: 10x better than the Basingstoke Road branch. However… as with all PureGyms, the spray bottles are always empty. And having minimal staff/automated services really does not work.
Anca D: Value for money. And if you go at the right times of the day, not crowded
Abdul Sheikh: I lost my AirPods case in the gym around 22:00 pm 19th May it was a case in one of the treadmills and has 1 right AirPod if anyone has found it could they please contact me
Ibi Naeem: Great place and great people
Matt Evans: So many machines out of order. Seated hamstring curl has been like it for months.
Michael Page: I like the puregym brand. This particular venue could really do with better ventilation though
David May: If Caversham Road one entrance almost inaccessible to pedestrians. Hence didn't join.
John Chalcroft: Great love it easy parking 👍
Tom LEE: Good place for people to do the gym and physical exercise. There have sufficient parking spaces. Also, you can reach city centre and railway station with throwing stone distance.
David Jurca: This gym has too many memberships ... the space is very small ... every time you have to wait to be able to use something... 👎
David Ahern: Best one of their gyms I’ve been to. Clean and tidy. Plenty of equipment. Staff very friendly. Loads of parking space. Doesn’t smell like a lot of the other ones
julien menu: Simple and efficient, good prize
Ayman Awan: If u wanna get suffocated to death, this is the place. Too many wana be Arnie’s at this place..Cleanliness is below Zero.
Kyle Hobbs: Very clean tired upto date place love working out there only problem is with the people who manage the car park
Damian Damisn: Worst gym i have ever seen. Poor condition of equipment, low quality training machines. Impossible to train properly as the gym is always busy. I don't recommend this place.
Niecey: Massage chairs never worked. Spray bottles always empty. Ceiling always leaking. Had to walk through a pitch black alley way to get to the gym. Didn't feel safe. Cancelled membership.
Simon Maloney: By far the best for quality of equipment/space and service level!
Jenny K: Good gym with lots of equipment and friendly staff. There is a lack of floor space to stretch and it can be busy in Jan and certain evenings throughout the year but if you are flexible in your workout then I have never had trouble getting on equipment. Very reasonably priced and classes included.
Kelly UK: Clean, well equipped gym. Good value for money

PureGym Reading Basingstoke Road: what do users think?
Tamuka Muvevi: Affordable prices and a variety of gym equipment though they neglect the basics like sanity in the toilets. Overally it's a good gym but I'd rather go to PureGym Caversham
Nathan Holland: Not as clean as it could be!!
Amy Puddephatt: Usually like it here. Main complaint previously is the festival sound levels some trainers do during classes which, as someone generally using the gym, means I need to have my headphones on the highest volume (not good for the ears) to hear my own music or podcasts.I understand the gym is under renovation but we were misled to believe we could still work out there.I mean, you can if you go super early morning & don’t mind waiting for the one rowing machine, but that’s a stretch.I would’ve been nice to have been offered free access to another PureGym nearby while renovations are going on as the gym on Basingstoke road is, frankly, unusable right now. We’ve now had to pay for the Plus membership, out our own pocket, to actually be able to work out in another PureGym.Terrible on the PureGym management to do this & not provide adequate compensation to customers.
Kenneth Critcher: Undergoing renovation works!
Fran Mullany: Usually good, but due to the refurbishment half the machines aren't plugged in. There's no signs on them telling you this though - seems like a lack of planning and communication from the staff.
Yukesh Gurung: Great place to workout with lots of equipments easily accessible and lots of parking spaces.
christopher neil: Update, June 23Many machines simply turned off, won't operate. No soap in the bathroomsRenovation ongoing in the gym. Fine, but a lot of equipment and space not available, so why charge people this month? The gym itself is fine, but the BASICS are neglected. No soap in the bathroom, one working water fountain. Infuriating.Lots of rules on the wall, not enforced. Bags and coats all over the floor. When there is a class on (almost all the time) the music is so loud you can't hear your own music even at max volume. There is no dividing wall. The crowd you get at a gym depends on the environment you create. If you have to step over bags and coats all the time why bother at all.
Rafal Maka: very good place to get rid of calories
Dirthouse: Due for a major upgrade. Overly busy and the weights never get put away in the correct place - it’s a dying art. Also; need a pre-workout? Need a protein shake? Well the vending machines never work.
F Clarke: The staff are basically window dressing and there's not really anyone keeping any sort of order but its a gym
Vish B: Very crowded and not so well maintained.
liviu mihaita: Very unhappy incident,my friend’s car along with my personal belongings has been broken and lost every item left inside of it. It happened 1 hour ago. Please do something with car park in terms of surveillance !
Shilton Angwabu: I'm dropping my rating for a few reasons;Firstly, there has been an alarming number of car break ins. I'm a victim. I complained to staff last year when it happened and advised for a security light/camera to be installed by the side parking. Nothing has been done and same thing keeps happening.Secondly, the water fountain upstairs has been blocked for more than a week now and instead to stop people from using it or sorting it out, it's still filled with filthy water. This is unacceptable to say the least.Management should please do something.
Mya Sialwiindi: Always clean, the times I go mean I don't always have to wait to use the machines or they are always available. A wife choice of equipment. Only reason why it's not 5* is because there is no pool and sauna. Great otherwise
S D: Great gym. Spend 5/6 times a week there. Well kept, good selection of machines
Kurt Boyd: Good gym. Only downside is alot of people don't re-rack their weights. Could also use a boxing bag.
Umar Khan: Free parking, convenient location and can do grocery shopping from the Lidl outside.Update: have changed it from 5 stars to 2 stars! Like others have mentioned, the standards are going down! The downstairs water fountain has been out of order for months now which is ridiculous! Should be a 5 mins plumber job! Some of the machines are out of order and it's been like this for some time now!If it continues like this, will have to consider terminating the membership!
J D: Updated with some new machines and bench press equipments and very well organised and have listened to the customers feedbacks and feels good to join back again.
Paula: I used to love this gym but lately it has truly been going down the hill. The equipment is old, not maintained well, not great selection either and most importantly only one tap with drinking water works. One has been broken for months and pipes stink. Sorry had to be done as I know people complain but nothing is done about it
Harpreet Singh: 24 hr gym. Equipment is good. Only bad park is lack of plates and how people can't put the weights back on the back properly. But that's to do with the user's I guess. More direction should be make from staff to users
David Keeling: Plenty of equipment, always clean and tidy

Rivermead Leisure Complex and Gym: what do users think?
Majdi Houseini: Very disappointed as booked female only session only to find out at reception desk that the life guard is a male and whats upsetting that they never mentioned at the time of booking so disrespectful!!
PM357994: Excellent
Tel Bane: 👍new gym opens 16th July
Mark Irving: Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I present Exhibit 'A' as evidence of the decline of our public amenities to the level of a banana republic.
Bishwajit Aich: Good for exercise, swimming and relaxing
Surbhi Kapadia: Had gone for the Holi event. Very spacious and neat and clean place.
Wang Nort: Cancelled my membership. Bizarrely, they allow young teenagers/children in the gym unsupervised, so you get to spend your time surrounded by large groups of school kids (literally - some of them are still in their uniform) who are mostly just messing around and yelling at each other whilst hogging all the machines they're not even using properly. It's like trying to work out in the middle of a school playground.
Chris B: Nice place
Dunx: Old but very clean and well run 👍🏻👍🏻
martin butler: Good
The Pro: Good but old
Sandie Hardy: Pool feels clean and showers work well. Changing rooms are very cold though.
Reza Rajabpour: 🌹🌹🌹🌹
mash shady: Bring on the new building. I very much hope that it has dumbbells up to 50kg please 🙏
Angus M: Convenient gym for those not in the centre of Reading, however the gym itself is fairly filthy with most gym equipment looking like a relics of the 1980’s.The gym really could do with a good clean, most the equipment has a thick layer of dust/grime on top. Strange brown leather machines when you first enter that are never used and take up space where more benches/racks could be. Of which, there is only one barbell bench and one squat rack - equipment is limited and the dumbbells are all heavily damaged.Strange layout with a lot of excess treadmills etc that appear to never be used.Place is desperate need of a revamp.
Launcelot Raven: Nothing available for teens under 16 at all in the leisure pool.
Richard Dale: Thinking of going back
Vix Anderson-Cross: Squash courts are usually available and reasonably priced but they drastically need repairs doing as all the netting between courts is broken to the point balls get easily lost. The swimming pool is a decent size and not over crowded and surprisingly not as cold as some public pools.Staff on the front desk are generally helpful and polite
Mas Hassan: A well organised sports and leisure facilities that are running under the difficult situation as the new building is under construction. We have to put up with limited parking and huge potholes in the car park area that are flooded, deep and dangerous during the rainy days. Large potholes should immediately be temporarily filled up with concern to health and safety. Very damaging to the cars going over them. The hand drier in the male toilets is out of order for weeks and in spite of reporting to the reception no action has been taken. Another pointer for Health & Safety Executive?
Neil Brook: Coffee machine failed!! Half the squash court lights not working so quite dangerous to play on. We complained to the receptionist but he just shrugged and said ‘they’ve not worked for months’ I’m very unhappy about the response and won’t be going back.
duncan coleman: Great gym and fantastic new pool represents really good value

Nuffield Health Reading Fitness & Wellbeing Gym: what do users think?
Angelika Rymaszewska: Without any notice to members they decided not to open or close like at 5PM today - bank holiday Monday. This place is becoming a bad joke, staff more and more unpleasant and cant even get the service I paid for. I will be cancelling my direct debit today!
Paul F: Receptionist was not very pleasant. Being a full fee paying member, I was sent away with my little one and told I need to book in advance just to use a swimming pool??It was never the case previously. The general atmosphere in the Reading centre is not very welcoming at all since I re-joined a few months ago.
Helen Hollock: Pool constantly cold and not nice to swim in - the heating element keeps on breaking down. Lockers / most don’t work. The security gate doesn’t always work. New Womens showers are nice.
C&G T: Average gym at best.Equipment is average; 4-5 cardio machines always out of action, today I counted 7 in total… they have 4 tv’s in the main gym, only 2 are ever on, they advertise tv and entertainment through the cardio machines, it never works!Staff are ok but doesn’t have the most welcoming feel…There is only one full set of weights for the whole gym… oh and even the main gym clock had stopped!Surely it’s just the basic things?!
Ollie Payne: Great place to go if you are looking for unwarranted parenting advice. If you’re looking for a gym with friendly staff probably worth looking elsewhere.
Jorden Teunissen: I was hesitant to visit this fitness center due to the negative reviews I had seen online, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and I never encountered a single rude member of staff. The equipment was clean and in good working condition, and the changing rooms were also kept clean. I was surprised to read reviews complaining of dirt, as every time I visited there were at least two cleaners walking around. The group lessons were led by passionate and knowledgeable staff, and there was always at least one member of staff available to give advice and guidance in the gym. Additionally, I received a free training schedule after consulting with an instructor. Overall, I had a great experience at this fitness center and would recommend it to others
teng junjun: Great Gym, great team! Also friendly, kind and professional! I highly recommended this gym to my firends and family. I was so lucky to meet my PT Marek Kaczmarczyk. He is amazing and always cares you and provides professional advices to help your image . Big thank you to you and Nuffield Health Reading!
Loraine Chan: Joined Nuffield since December 2022 and happy with my experience so far. Personal Trainer Marek is very friendly, checks in on clients and patiently explains how various equipments work as I do not have much knowledge. Makes me feel positive about a persistent and effective workout routine indeed!
Jon Appleton: Great Gym. Personal Training is great, my PT Marek has been awesome!
wadi hassani: This my favourite go to gym in Reading. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The steam room and sauna are always a good way to chill after a hard workout session with Marek Kaczmarczyk who is a professional PT from who you can expect progress via a personalised workout plan along 1-1 sessions to have a clear understanding on what area each exercise is targeting. The staff at reception are also great and always smiling. The gym can be quite busy during peak hours but there’s enough space for everyone to get on with their workout and a dedicated PT is always the way if you’re looking to achieve long term results.
Mjohanns Mjohanns: I have been a member at Nuffield Reading for many years and am generally happy with the facilities and equipment in there. However, I rarely use the swimming pool (which, as other people have commented, is rather too small) and tend to shower at home. I have hardly been using the gym equipment in recent years, but only done classes (body pump being a favourite).Late last year I felt I was not pushing myself enough and decided to book some Personal Training back in November '22. I have had a few sessions with Marek Kaczmarczyk since and have found them to be very beneficial. He has a vast knowledge on anything ranging from correct exercise execution for maximum personal benefit, injury prevention, nutrition to supplementation. It helps that he is a very likeable, extremely positive and approachable person, who it is fun to work out with.I am going to continue after the initial 3 months I paid for, as working out with Marek has given me a new lift and desire to get fitter and healthier this year. I know he can take me there!
Andy McDonald: I signed up recently to address my poor fitness and overall wellness. Found the gym and pool to be in good condition/availability considering the price range for membership but what has really impressed me is the people that work there. From front desk to membership to coffee shop to gym to members, everyone is so friendly! I want to put a specific shout out to my new personal trainer and employee of the month Marek. Dedicated, professional, driven, passionate about what he does. In just a few weeks I feel more healthy and like I have a path forward to a much better future with my personalised training and diet plan & 1:1 sessions. Let’s go!
Nikki Martin: Absolutely love this place. What friendly, welcoming staff, always clean and where nothing is too much trouble from the gym staff and personal trainers.I have had great support from personal trainers , especially Mareks enthusiasm with training, diet and patience that i can do this and Ethans positive push to achieve....well done Nuffield team
farzana a: Marek understood my personal circumstances and designed my plan to cater for it. My goal was to gain muscle and gain weight. marek has not only catered our sessions to suit my goal but also checks up to see I am on plan with my meals. Since training with Marek I have put on weight and am able to push myself to lift heavier. He is also very good at incorporating feedback and my overall goals into my plan. Highly recommended - tremendous amount of value for the service he provides
Candice Robinson: I am a super fan, I think the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful - always a smile and greeting. The gym has everything I need, classes seem good ( I’ve never attended) pool looks inviting (again never used it myself) and locker room is always clean!I have the best personal trainer Marek, who has got me addicted to training and eating clean! Not only has he helped me feel more confident with the equipment, and weight training (which I was completely new to), he understands my needs and tailored a training & diet plan to hit my goals.
Ben Travers: Very friendly staff, good equipment and new showers just fitted.I have PT sessions with Marek, he's awesome. Very positive, encouraging and knowledgeable. I couldn't recommend him enough to anyone of any level of fitness with any goal in mind.
Paula Kastrouni: No idea why ratings are so low. Staff are so friendly and helpful. My PT Harry is amazing. I never intended on doing so many sessions initially but he makes the gym so fun, I've seen a huge difference mentally and physically in myself. He provides me with advice in and out of the sessions. The facilities are not usually overcrowded. Clean and nice gym
Future Is Here: Friendly staff, easy access & great location.*****
Lucy Jane: I dont know how this place is getting such bad ratings.I've been to I think 3 or 4 different gyms and this is by far the best gym I've been to.The lockers are great, the swimming pool is lovely and warm, everyone is so lovely - including staff. They have 24/7 cleaners in the changing rooms so it never gets dirty. The showers are 10/10.The gym equipment is super clean, they also provide you with cleaners WHICH YOU CAN USE AT YOUR OWN ACCORD - so all these reviews saying "its dirty" well, its not, and even if it was you have the option to clean it - the bad reviews are obviously competing gyms as they aren't accurate at all to what the gym is like.I have to say, the only flaw I can pick out is that its not a 24/7 gym.The membership is fairly priced, when you first join you have a free session with a Personal trainer, and you get access to all classes, and pool, steam room, sauna etc. Honestly whats not to love.
Sagr 3gab: This is the worst gym and staff I have ever seen in my entire life.I wish I listened to the other customers reviews before deciding to visit this gym.I cancelled my membership in few days from signing up.Here is my experience at this appalling gym:Gym Workers quality and behavior: very low quality personality, extremely rude, unprofessional, no communication skills, no customer service facing skills.A guy called andrew pond and a girl called vanessa are the rudest and the most unprofessional workers I have ever seen throughout my entire life in 12 countries that I have lived in. They shout at customers and call them names!!!Gym facilities: very old rusty equipments, very small and limited equipment, bad odor, smelly facility, filthy swimming pool, toilets, etc.The lockers are obsolete and very old, who on earth still is using keys to lock lockers!!!
A.Gökhan Çelebi: Yesterday and around 1550 Local Time I have attended a tour to better understand the place and options. Unfortunately, the gentleman accompanying us was not friendly and he was in a deterring position. His words were not appropriate. Although I liked the place when I was searching for it, I decided not to become a member due to the team member's behaviour. You can easily find who the person and warn him accordingly. The center has a very low chance ot acquiring new customers with that personnel I am afraid.

Buzz Gym Reading: what do users think?
Anthony: Its nice enough, they have basically all the machines you need, it's open 24/7. The instructors are nice. It doesn't seem to have parking though that's my only issue.
Kelly Archer: I've been going to Buzz for several years now. I love the staff, the classes are great (and included in the membership) and the changing rooms are clean with plenty of lockers. Really can't fault it 3
Rakesh Athukattu: Really nice gym, big part of my fitness journey. Gets busy at times but people are always willing to share equipments and walk away with a fist bump😁
فُآيزْ آلُِمطُيرٍي: صالة جدا جميلة بس بعض المدربين نفسيتهم مو تمام
Tracey Fraser-Peters: I have been a loyal member at buzz gym, ive recommended an unnoticeable amount of people over the years, now all the OG staff have gone. The new staff are rude,Offer all these friend recommendation awards and not one has been awardedI recommended a new member recently and their experience was embarrassment! Had ask for help multiple times, left waiting so long that we decided to go to another gym!On a few occasions i have been accepted on to a class last min which barely gives you any lee way to get there on time! The one time i did and was 1min late! I was rejected and lilly had started class earlier than the scheduled timeWe pay £23 and rising and cleanliness of the studio floors in particular are filthy and the flooring literally falling apart£23 per month for pure rudeness and disrespect - where in the T&C did i agree to such abuse*******************************************I appreciate the response below but not being called a liar! If you are on a waiting list for a class , you should give more notice! Staff members such as Lily should not be staring classes before scheduled time! PERIOD! I have recommended over 10 members NOT ONCE been honouredAs for my friend we was waiting for tiiimee!! I came in separately, to dispute friend pass and and called help buzzer! Noo response!! This is all on your CCTV before you call me and my friend a liar!
Thanasis Nikolaou: Lily is an exceptional personal trainer at Buzz gym who surpasses all expectations. Her knowledge, dedication, and passion for fitness are unmatched. She designs personalized workouts that challenge and motivate, while paying close attention to form and technique. Lily's expertise extends to nutrition, offering practical advice for a balanced diet. Her positive energy and effective communication make every session enjoyable and rewarding. I cannot recommend Lily highly enough. She is the ultimate choice for anyone seeking a top-notch personal trainer. Thank you, Lily, for helping me achieve my fitness goals!
Paul C: Variety of well maintained, organised and sufficient equipments to complete your schedule of workout, spacious, centralised location and basic hygiene and cleanliness - Buzz gym scores satisfactorily high in all these areas. A quiet gym is a heavenly playground but great places are always crowded and full of hustle so no complaints.Coach Ati(Atabak) is helping me with online training since few months. He is extremely knowledgeable and shared result driven workout routine and meal plans. He is himself very fit with perfect condition and I see my dream physique in him.I am very motivated to see excellent results under his expert guidance and look forward to a better version of myself every day. Thank you coach Ati and Buzz gym.
Abdul Rahman: "Respect people's time and upgrade your system"I joined two months ago. last month suddenly my access stopped working. that wasted my whole session to set it up. Yesterday, again same issue. Ended up wasting whole training time.. Staff failed to help. trainers are rude. only reason to join this gym was the distance from my house.
Basit Khan: “Pathetic gym”. Very compact in space. Change room and washroom always stinks. Uncertified and rude staff. Gym equipments are not branded. You might have injuries training on them.
Hanzla Waseem: I recently left a negative review about the air conditioning and the occasional messiness of the gym during. Although some days it appears that the air conditioning is fixed, other days it is still not enough to combat the humidity of the downstairs free weights area. Also recently the music has been overwhelmingly loud, even with the new airpods and noise cancellation I can still hear it with my volume all the way up.
Lord Jonny: I have been coming to Buzz gym since 2013 and genuinely look forward to every training session , the team are so friendly, engaging and helpful- you are really made to feel like one of the family. The facilities are just fab for all levels of fitness, whatever your journey , I strongly recommend getting in touch .Thank you so much Gabriella and team - if I could give more stars I would so here you go ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Darius U Mihail: Highly recommended 👌🏽👊🏽
Gary Williams: Very helpful team! Always go above and beyond to give a great experience!
Leyton Duffy: What a great gym.Wide variety of equipment cardio and weights. Gym has awesome staff that are really friendly helpful. Great place to train for whatever you’re goals are. Definitely recommend this gym for anyone.
Oliver Hamilton: Really nice gym, great sense of community! PTs are always ready and willing to help with any questions and queries, they love for you to get involved with challenges which are really fun and really enable you to feel passionate about what you doing. Couldn't recommend it more!
Aleksandra Paslawska: Probably the best gym in Reading! 💪🏻
Gary Small: I’ve been a member of a few local gyms, since joining BUZZ READING, these guys are on another level, the input, guidance & assistance I see them giving to well seasoned athlete's as well as new comers, I’m home now, Gabriela, Beatriz, Pippa & Harry keep doing what you’re doing, thank you
Ollie Leat: Really convenient gym and has plenty of machines to use. It’s never too busy and it’s always clean and tidy.
Gia Chao: This is the best gym i have been!!!! The facility here is the best and stuff here are really lovely!
Akisha's world: 😍
anusuya bhan: I have had an amazing trainer and coach- Gabby since past 2 +years and I can without a blink say buzz reading is one of the best gyms in town... The only workout place you should visit.. all updated machines , lit atmosphere, spacious and clean with a kickass music to get in the groove of burning calories....

LivingWell Health Club Reading: what do users think?
andii doode: This is a place which I don't recommend if you're black, you're made to feel unwelcome, like you snuck into the place. Very condescending, and complaints will get you nowhere, must be the company's policy. Every time I've been there I've hated it.
Chris B: Nice and clean
cody leung: 會所同健身設施完美
Mirjana Damjanovic: Gym is nothing special, one smith machine, treadmills - touchscreen was not working properly disrupting the run. There are enough barbells but not racks. The sauna and steam room are really good though. You need a £1 coin to use the lockers!
Paolo Rossi: Great swimming pool, and amazing splash pod for kids! Perfect for families, with family changing rooms too! Just lovely!
Mili Anderson: Little Cosy place, love it
Cazza 112: Used the facilities whilst staying at the Hilton, small pool, sauna, steam showers. Just remember your £1 for the locker. It was clean, easy to use and wasn't busy.
xmodulox: Personally I am happy with my choice. There is everything what I need there including sauna and the swimming pool.I must unfortunately express my disspoinymet as during the proces of transfering my account from one livingwell to another I was not advised by staff my account will be downgraded and in top of it it is going to cost me 10 quid more per month! With the downgraded account I wont be given towel and use all of the extrass. So when I proposed solution to the manager of the Reading branch - I don't need extras jus a towel as I thought it would be nice to compensate for the mistake I was refused and asked to put an extra 10 quid on top of the 10 I have already paid.So at the end I am disappointed with such aproach and instead win-win situation it is lose-lose. Bravo manager 👏
Postcard 24r: Best pool in Reading ever. Changing room and toilettte and bathroom are clean and shower is really good hot and strong water. Calm pool and you can use steamer and sauna as well including the price. Staff are really kind.
Kate N.: Nice little club, swimming pool is only 12.5m but it's enough for a quick swim. I have osteoarthritis and swimming is my only exercise option, plus sauna/steam room are great for my joints. Staff are lovely and polite, gym is small but well equipped. Loving every moment I go there.
Alistair Shek: Nice gym and swimming pool and won't be too crowded due to great online booking system which works well, keep up good work... 👍👍👍
Peter Green: Not bad for a hotel gym
Melanie Lockett: Lovely clean gym and pool.Very pleasant, helpful and well-informed staff.
Chaudhry Rajinder Nijjhar Jatt: I have been to different Gyms in Reading and this is superb. Very clean and helpful staff. I will highly recommend it.
Kinga Markiewicz: Loving the place! Nice and friendly staff. Good selection of equipment and classes. Great pool as no need to to check time just turn up anytime you wish.
Allan bahati: Great service from the Hilton spa staff. Gifty in particular was great at her work. Would highly recommend. Would like to purchase the products from their online store as was high quality, and all very professional

SportsPark: what do users think?
Stephen Nottage: Used for squash. Courts in good condition
Varun Dhanwani: Pocket friendly place. Just 1.05 pounds entry fee
James Cooper-Lloyd: A fairly good gym close to the centre of campus, however as others have said, it gets very cramped once past 4-5PM. The music is also extremely loud and bass heavy which is a distractions. For some reason the treadmills limit the amount of time you can spend on them so I often have to rush to get the miles in which has led to almost constant foot injuries. In summary, it’s an ok gym for casual goers or short cardio sessions and 1st years with not much better to do, but for anyone else will be a stuffy, hot and loud experience.
Roopal S.: I love the pilâtes, yoga and Zumba classes. Great community.
Penguin: Tea was good and the nice man let me have a free biscuit
Leila Davis: Lovely clean and modern facilities
Ali Shihab: Lovely place, two floors in the gym, nice spacious locker room and locker options. Prices are also good and they are opened 8-10 and 8-9 on weekends. Haven't explored everything but there is no swimming pool is what I know. Workers are lovely, cooperate, and nice to talk to.
Ollie Leat: A really good gym with a decent variety of machines and lots of classes available. However, it does feel like it lacks some space when it gets busy particularly in the evening. I’d recommend going earlier in the day if you want an uninterrupted workout.
Max Tingay-Holt: The gym is way too small for a UNIVERSITY gym. It either needs changing to have more equipment or needs to be open for longer because once you hit 4/5 o’clock, there’s not much point in going until 9 but because it closes at 10, you’re workout has to be rushed a little. Only reason it gets 2 stars is due to its ease of access, especially for a first year student
Amarachi Udechi: I love what am seeing
Amy H: Nice sports centre but i think the facilities (i.e toilets and changing rooms) are very basic compared to other gyms. Hence only 3 stars.
Rodolph Warot: Great sport facilities & a warm welcome.
Tom LEE: Staff are friendly and helpful. Sufficient parking spaces are provided for users. Cafe is located near the entrance to indoor sports hall.
Dan Amoah: Great sports centre. Good service
Danny Pitcher Enterprises: I'm sorry but the university gym ain't even it. It's too small, the lights are too dim, it's not fully equipped, it appears to be in a constant state of disarray with plates and bars all over the place. Not even worth the price I paid for. Management tried to upsell me at first and they refused to let me cancel until after 2 months.
Razvan Alin Chiuzbaian: This is just great, only play 6-a side footy there but it’s always great and now they have resurfaced the pitches which is so much better. It’s clean like no other pitch in Reading and staff is respectful as well.
S: Have VO2 Max membership and played on the tennis court the most, I have to say very bad tennis court management
Chaitanya Appana: Amazing Sports and Leisure center in the middle of the town!👏Their VO2 Max membership allows to book all indoor Badminton, Squash and Table Tennis courts to be booked Free!! Hardly any other center allows Free these days!Lot of Gym/Fitness classes to explore and lots of Parking 🅿️ around the Campus..
C G: Great little gym
Elli: Gym rooms are great

Progressive Fitness Unit: what do users think?
Allahditta Ali: This is the best place to train
Clare Clarke: Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere
Ian Emmett: If you want a good work out with an awesome bunch of people then this is the place to be.
Leigh Leigh: 6 weeks ago I decided to change my life and get healthy. On my way to work I saw an ad on Facebook about `The Unit'. It advertised a different way to exercise. A non conventional gym with group training.  I joined the 6 week programme, met James Parker the Head coach and learned about what Progressive Fitness Unit could do for me. He took my measurements and that very day I attended my first training session with Lee, another of the trainers. It was tough but with the support of Lee and the other group members I made it through and was back the next day!! Me the Exercise Hater became a regular and enthusiastic member. 6 weeks are completed and I am happy to say, I have lost 3kg in weight, almost 10% body fat, and 15 inches from around my body!!! This is just the start of my journey!
Arhamis Lazaro Medina: Great atmosphere
Lee Carnaby LCSC: Awesome! Especially the coaches. 👊🏼
