Debra Roberts: So small ...2 of us in double room but the room was very small ... the bed was pushed against the wall on one side ... no room to stand up at the bottom of the bed as it was a tiny space .... sockets and charging points on one side.No room to put a case so had to use the toilet ... no hanging space just one metal hanger, no drinks facilities in the room, they are available at an extra cost in receptionBathroom a decent size for the room ... obviously only a showerLimited parking first come basis at a cost of £10 ... Анастасия Попова: По телефону нам сказали, что мы можем заселиться ночью, а когда мы пришли, нам отказали и мы остались без ночлега, не рекомендую
Beatriz Maia Lima Miranda: O hotel é ótimo! Bem aconchegante e organizado.
Okolie Chinonye: This is my first time ever dropping a review but I have to. When I came the room I booked was small with no windows so I upgraded. The staffs were so nice and accommodating as I just came straight from the Airport, even earlier than my check in time. It’s worth the money I must say! Decent, neat! And the staffs are wayy attentive and nice. I have to give it to Frank and Angelica! One of the best customer service I have ever gotten. Will definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay!!!!

Abdelmalek Ak: Very nice hotel 👍
A Fearn: It's a decent budget hotel, there are a few things you need to know. The rooms are tiny (I have a tent with more space) so you'll want to be on your own or with someone you know really well. The bathroom is kinda part of the bedroom. There's a door but it's glass - again you'd best be solo or with a really good buddy/partner.The stairs are steep and I don't think there's a lift. Some rooms have no windows and although my room was double, the bed was pushed up against the wall. I had to sit in the bed to do my hair and makeup because the mirror is right next to it. There are no flat surfaces apart from a tiny shelf next to the bed and no chair. But it was clean, the bed comfy and the staff lovely. I was only in town for a night so it was perfect really. I didn't need any more.

The Bath Hotel: what do users think?
Sagar Sansare: Staying here for a long time. Comfortable stay
Molly Coppard: The Bath Hotel2 Night Stay in a Deluxe Studio - nothing deluxe about it!Paid £300, plus £30 parking (for 2 days) plus a £50 deposit which is yet to be refunded. Total of £380.The room was absolutely disugting! There was not a surface without a stain. The white bedsheets, the floors, the cupboard doors, all stained. We went out and purchased our own blankets and slept on top of the bedding. As well as slippers so we didn’t have to touch the floor with our bare feet.We went out and purchased our own cleaning materials to clean the room and the bathroom extensively. After getting the courage and attempting to shower, the water ran bright orange for minutes and took 10-15 minutes to even warm up.There was a spider nest in the bathroom, dirt on each tile and in the grout, and heavy mould.Aside from the lack of cleanliness, the room layout was unsafe. There was a bedside cabinet behind the entrance door, so it would only just about open enough to get in with our suitcase - not exactly fire safe?!In terms of appliances we had a tv and a fridge. A fridge that was so disgusting we wouldn’t put anything in. At a minimum we hoped there would have been a kettle so we could have gone out and purchased tea and coffee supplies but no.I could not stress enough to anyone thinking of booking here, DO NOT DO IT! We were absolutely desperate otherwise we would have had to sleep in our car.The Bath Hotel really need to review their cleanliness and fire safety standards, and maybe go and do some research about what a ‘Deluxe Studio’ should be like!!
Dino Domenico Tarantini: Rapporto qualità prezzo molto buono, ottima accoglienza, per quanto riguarda le camere a volte sono stato molto fortunato, altre un pò meno, ma nel complesso tutto ok.
Angela Bell: HOTEL NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED
Stewart Walker: Ok hotel bit basic but not bad
Kevin Wagstaffe: Comfortable room and bed. Breakfast cooked individually so no hot.plate rubber eggs.
Kamil Rutkowski: Super
Sam Williams: Arrived checked in all staff friendly, went to bed at 11 woken at 12.30 by slamming doors and chaos in corridors from a very verbal roudy group continuing till 6am awaiting manager to contact me. More to follow.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Tom Knowles: Used for work. Very clean and functional. Stayed at the front if the building and had windows open as warm; traffic can be loud and people leaving early can wake you up.
Wendy Peters: Ideal for overnight clean rooms cheap good breakfast nothing high class
Amanda Noble: Very clean , nice breakfast
Trevor Freeman: Lovely
Andy Primmer: Not good stayed many years ago and was lovely but has obviously changed hands and is now not worth the money. There used to be a lounge bar (still afvertised) great for a drink after a 20 minutes walk from town, this is now two more rooms. Would not recommend this hotel.
Robert Ebo Hinson: Clean and affordable
RoGer: Adequate, cheap!?, Closet to event attending. Breakfast too expensive.

Em ma: 5 min walk from Prospect park. Great for a gig. Rooms are basic but everything you need. Service was amazing, the manager went out of his way to keep us happy, breakfast included and was tasty!Walkability: 5 mins walk from Prospect park

Nigel Stanway: Was not impressed from the start rooms very basic the was clean but you had to move furniture to access plug sockets also I had some rubbish I needed throwing away asked in the reception for bin I was made to go out the hotel walk to the rear side for the bins we also had an issue with another guest after we tolerated his drunken behaviour for so long we asked him politely to leave us alone he carried on there was no staff intervention they aĺowed it to carry on
Petecunningham Cunningham: Staff friendly, beds, pillows and TV dreadful, breakfast was microwaved in my opinion with a fresh egg, there was even cling film on the bottom of the plate.... for the price it was ok, workman's hotel for sure, ok for 1 nightRooms: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Tina Arbuckle: Disgusting pit of a place. Upon arriving to book in, we were 'greeted' by this surly, miserable old goat, that remained in the same mood until we left. Filthy sink and toilet. No power shower - and the water was barely lukewarm. Towels stank of damp and cigarette smoke. Doors banging very loudly at all times of the day. WIFI stopped working and the staff couldn't care less about repairing it. Not worth £55 per night in the slightest! Since leaving, we have spoken to other people who don't rate the hovel at all. Avoid at all costs folks!!
Raj Jilka: Staff are very good and caring Great but odour of cigarette smoking is a put offRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Ifeatu Nnachetta: It did what I needed it to do from a location perspectiveRooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Ron Carter: Was good value for money, was a bit ofMisunderstanding as I thought the priceIncluded breakfast. So had to pay for the breakfast. It is a pity they have not gotA bedside cabinet at the side of the bed.
Dj Marcdamohawk: Seriously needs a revamp
Jessica Wilson: Staff seemed friendly but I left my fitbit there by accident. I sent a self addressed envelope with a letter asking for proof of posting so that I knew they had posted it as promised. A month later, the fitbit hasn't arrived. They have told me to be patient as there are postal strikes but I don't think stuff is taking a month to arrive. They didn't get proof of posting so they're unable to prove that they posted it. It also means that the post office won't compensate me. As far as I am aware, they are now liable for the cost of the fitbit because, if they did post it, the poster remains responsible until the package arrives. They have not offered me any compensation! For a cheap hotel, with a lumpy bed, it ended up costing me a lot of money.
Huw David Wright: Excellent place to stay staff are amazing go out of their way to help you out if you need anything highly recommend.Stayed here from 28th October 2922 til 8th November 2022 after being discharged from Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The Great Expectations: what do users think?
Emily Wills: Calico Bar and Restaurant - Fantastic! The food menu is a blend of Indian food/flavours and other dishes from around the world and with the traditional burger/pizza menus too. For me personally the food was stunning. The Chat I ordered from the small plates menu was the best I have had in a long while. All my friends also agreed the food was great. The cocktails we had were also stunning and well made and not the usual cheap sugary cocktails you can find elsewhere. We had great, attentive and friendly service too. Although just to note they don't take cash as payment. I know these days people don't tend to carry cash on them but I did that evening. Didn't stay in the hotel.
Ella Staunton: I came here with friends for lunch and the food was amazing, Lianna, our waitress, was incredibly accommodating. One thing I have to critique is the bar staff. One of the bartenders did not take well to me saying there was something wrong with my drink, and rolled her eyes. The rest of the bar team did not pull her up on this and I felt quite judged when I went up to the bar to order further drinks.Food & drinks: Good
Klaudya Khimina: Very goodFood & drinks: Very good!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Sinead Gibson: We went for my birthday for a meal, and not only was the food delicious but we were served with a smile. Nothing was too much to do for us. We loved the decor and vibe and will definitely visit again soonService: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
H sk: Just visited the Calico Bar Restaurant here. Great choice of cocktails and good selection of Indian and English food. With good fast service. Being an Indian, the Mixed grill is very very mediocre unfortunately. Upon arriving into the building and inside the restaurant, seems to be fruit flies just hovering around, which was quite off putting. I came on fathers day and was told my first drink was on the house, but then to find it still on the bill at the end. Toilets were very clean, which is always a big plus for me.
Jane francis: Dangerous stairs down to toilet, spiral staircase with rail on wrong side by narrow part of stairs. Noisy with none discript service and food.Service: 2/5|Location: 2/5 …More
Isaiah Fapuro: Stayed over the weekend and overall I had a really pleasant stay, the staff were incredibly professional and helpful during the stay. The room I stayed in was HUGE and spacious, loads of natural light, comfortable 4 poster bed and refreshments, including water and tea/coffee/biscuits. The bathroom was clean and also sizeable, with a great bathtub/shower. In the morning I had the best hotel breakfast (full English) I've had in a very long time.Check-in was a bit of a let down as my name was spelt incorrectly on the key envelope and I wasn't verified straight away. The room was clean but had about 6 flies zooming around and took an hour to get out of the room. The room also overlooked the main road which was noisy; you can close the windows to minimise this but one to think about during the summer when undoubtably the room will get hot without ventilation. Also worth noting that this is a hotel/bar, the music of which permeated quite well through the walls, so if you are an early sleeper, this may not be for you.
Gemma Pearce: Fantastic service by Emma excellent food and the drinks were fantastic!Bottomless brunch was amazing, such an amazing variety of food and cocktails. Would definitely be booking again and also exciting to hear they are bringing in a themed bottomless brunch too soonService: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jade Chalmers: Bottomless brunch was amazing! Emma was incredible and their service is 5* the cocktails are properly made and all made with quality ingredient! Can’t recommend this enough for a boozy brunch afternoon!Food & drinks: Amazing!!

Heidi “Heidz”: Went to the Calico Eatery for a birthday party. There were 18 of us and we had pre ordered our food several days before, the restaurant was not even half full. The atmosphere and decor are lovely however the two staff that were working that night treated us like dirt. Upon arrival I ordered my drinks which took nearly an hour to be served. I had cocktails which were basically ice very little taste and no hint of alcohol. 3 others in our party had the same cocktails in larger volume glasses, when I queried why mine was smaller I was told that all those glasses had run out (all 3?) when I asked if it had alcohol she just said yes it does with a disgruntled attitude. The food also took over 45 minutes to be served at which point I ordered a glass of coke that I had to ask again for after my desert 45 minutes later as that also didn't arrive. I was told they would bring it over in a minute. 20 minutes after that we were leaving so I told them not to bother. The desert Eaton mess which 4 of us ordered had strawberries in. At first I thought it was my tastebuds playing up but the other members of the party said the same unprompted that the strawberries had a strong taste of garlic. When I explained very politely almost in a curious manner that the strawberries tasted of garlic he basically and sarcastically accused us of lying. There was no apology or offer to exchange the desert and he walked off saying a sarcastic comment across the room. I took him to the side and told him politely in hindsight way too politely that although the decor was lovely his customer service was not as I had waited over an hour for a glass of coke. He proceeded to talk to another diner whilst I was saying this and when I said you aren't even listening to me and that I would just write a review instead he put his hand on my shoulder and sarcastically said you do that we would love to hear from you. Honestly we were all in shock at this point and could only compare the customer service to Karen's diner. Such a shame as we had all bee saying yep we are going to come here often but I wouldn't go back there for a free meal after they way we were treated.
Sarah Willmott: I stay quite regularly, hotel and the staff are lovely, Emma goes above and beyond, it's always a pleasure to stay here, room 17 is my favourite, highly recommended.Rooms: The supiour double is do worth the money, comfortable bed, large baths, atouch of luxuryNearby activities: On the Orale shopping centres door step, so close to all of the town but in a quiet location.Food & drinks: Great service, varied menu, so tasty
Daniel Faulder: Food & drinks: Terrible door staff. Was judgemental and bullish with the serving staff in the bar. If this place intends to market itself to a higher standard then it needs to sort this outRooms: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More
millie hulland: We do not recommend a stay here, more like a cheap motel, bar downstairs looks nice but full so guests can't use it unless pre booked. Rooms basic but clean. No chance of getting any sleep noise from bar below vibrates the room until past 2 am then drunk guests stumble through corridors. Breakfast took an hour to be served, no check in, this place would run better without rooms as guests do not feel welcome or well catered for. Really disappointed. Won't return
roshani singh: First of all great shoutout to the whole interior design and overall decor made with flowers and such nice, gorgeous vibe💗I had my birthday lunch with my family and it was such a nice experience.Food was 10/10Vibe was 10/10There were so many photography places where we could click and get amazing pictures 😍Really recommend this place if you are in Reading one of the best places to relax and enjoy the food with your loved ones

Ben Krawiec: Awful, just awful. Avoid it. Even the Pentra opposite is better and that’s saying something.Dirty bathroom (extractor clogged with dirt and dirty shower curtain). Shower was scalding or freezing. Overly hot room with no aircon and windows that don’t open enough to ventilate it.
Srinivas Sarma: The affordable hotel is close to the city center and the train station is only 5 to 8 minutes walk away.Nearby activities: A little noisy due to the highway and mainroad close by.. else good stay

READING HOTEL: what do users think?
Scott Allaway: These positive reviews must be fake. This is not up to the standards of a 1 star hotel.I’ve been placed here by the council and been here for 6 weeks. The room has not been cleaned once since I’ve been here, in fact I had to ask to borrow the hoover. There are flies in the room everyday. The bedding on the single camper bed is disgusting. It is so old that is has definitely got to be below safety standards.I requested my bedding to be changed and had to argue as they only send the sheets once every 2 weeks and apparently are only allowed to send 6 sets for 12 rooms. Why write this review? Because the council are flooding this place with homeless people whilst helping them on yet the owners seem to be quite unaware of the impact of the council stopped this endless conveyer belt of over payment. What a waste of public money and a disgrace of a hotel. If there was a rating for below zero then I’d provide that. Now you’ve seen how people see your hotel. Perhaps you could take emotion out and look at this as a business ? The next review is to a board of standards with photographic and video evidence !As for continental breakfast. You have a loaf of bread in the fridge, you do not open the kitchen daily at a sensible time either.
Maria Scullion: My goodness what a safe, warm clean hotel room for a good price per night. The staff member that booked me into my room was so accommodating and offered to help me with my suitcases, one of which was broken and he provided me with bags to put my clothes into. My Chaudhry was so welcoming and saw I was going through a though time. He asked his staff member to make me a cup of tea and toast in the morning of checking out. I had a lovely conversation with both him and his staff member about my experience of living on the streets so much so I forgot about the awful experience through laughter and chat about every day life. Highly recommend staying here, a most comfortable bed and nights sleep, clean shower and toilet. I can't understand any of the bad reviews I have read, I wonder were some made up for the sake of it.

Joe Smith: I went in to the hotel to be greeted by a rude man with no neck , it was awful. The place looked dodgy but we thought nothing of it until we got to our room and found a bird poo on our bed! It was huge.
