J K Yoga Flow Affordable Yoga Classes: what do users think?
Yasmin Kerr: I've been going to Jackie's yoga classes over the last year or so. She is a brilliant instructor as well as a very warm and kind person. I recenly attended a gong bath facilited by Jackie and it was an amazing experience. Very soothing and relaxing. I intend on attending her gong baths now monthly and can't wait for the next! :) x
Yoga with Jane: Just returned from the weekend retreat at Lower Marsh Farm Cornwall and feel fabulous! I was a little nervous about going alone but it was a such a warm and welcoming group, Jackie and Stacey were brilliant. Beautiful location and really good balance of yoga, meditation, sound and good food - suitable for all. Highly recommend!
Richard K: What makes Jackie distinctive is her “flow”! Jackie’s practice is holistic and variant! A full mind, body and spirit work out. Excellent practice foundations with variations to keep you stimulated and engaged! Whilst Jackie is experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated; she delivers the classes with gentleness, openness and an awareness that is just awesome!
Adam Roe: What a wonderful class. Jackie was so lovely and welcoming. I enjoyed the mix of styles as well. Starting dynamic then becoming more yin at the end. Definitely recommend!
Jackie Marshall: Tuscany 2019 .. yoga retreat !Such a gorgeous venue , set in the Tuscan hills. We were made most welcome by our lovely host Christina . The food was delicious, all organically home grown , even had an opportunity to enjoy an Italian cookery class !This retreat was a lovely mixture of yoga, mindfulness and relaxation .. the classes were led by Jackie and a perfect blend for all abilities . Lovely new experiences for me too including Indian head massage from Sian and a gong bath from local visitor Barbara .. amazing 😍
Helen Hobson: Last weekend I went on Jackie's Detox Yoga and Pilates retreat in Lower Marsh Farm near Plymouth with my daughter. I didn't really know what to expect having never been on a retreat before. I attend Jackie's Pilates and yin classes at Castle royal gym. I heard about the retreat and decided to give it a go.Firstly the accommodation was gorgeous, set in the countryside near Saltash. We were very lucky with the weather and also had hot tubs. The yoga and Pilates sessions were relaxing, nourishing both mentally and physically. Also we were treated to a Gong bath which is an experience everyone should try at least once. Difficult to describe the sensations you get from this and the lasting sense of well being. The food was provided by an inventive and elegant vegetarian chef Angela. We all amazed what was produced during the weekend. Totally delicious vegan and vegetarian food.To top it all, the group were friendly, supportive and a pleasure to have got to know. I would definitely do this again.
Phillippa “Flip” Wyatt: I love the Sunday evening Yin session! No matter what kind of week I have had, it resets me and leaves me ready to embrace a new week
Camilla Drennan: I met Jackie on a yoga teachers’ retreat and she treated us to a sound bath, yin yoga class, and a chakra balancing yin yoga class with sound bowls. They were all a treat! I loved how Jackie fully explained what to expect from the sound bath and made sure that we were all comfortable and able to move if we needed to. I would definitely recommend her classes.
Fiona Law: Jackie gave us the most wonderful sound bath at a Teachers' Retreat here at Viveka Gardens. I was really impressed by her sensitive use of the gongs and other instruments, delicate timing and nuanced playing. I was able to sink into the session and experience a personal shift. Jackie also gave us a yin and chakra session with singing bowls that was rich and resonant! Recommended.
Susan O'Connell: As a newbie to pilates I was intrigued by the yogales class. Jackie is very welcoming and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. The classes are very well structured and I look forward to Tuesday evenings now.
K M: New to yoga, but not new to exercise, I decided to try the nearest, most convenient class I could find in an attempt to gain calm and meditation through movement. It was fortuitous that it was JK Yoga! I felt instantly welcomed and have, although I've only been going for a couple of weeks, I have already learned a great deal of information which I am applying day to day. I attended a myofascial release workshop where Jackie was very generous with her knowledge and intention. There is a clear passion in her yoga practice which I think enriches her students' experience during class and helps people develop a completely new notion of self nurturing from the inside out.
Justyna Robak-Gorniak: Jackie is a wonderful yoga and pilates teacher, always friendly, helpful and happy to answer any questions. Her classes and style is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you Jackie :)
Natalie Higley (FitnessbyNatalie): I recently attended one of Jackies day retreats for the first time. The day started with a gong bath, I’d never been to a gong bath before and I wasn’t sure if I’d like.. however I really enjoyed it! The vibrations completely relaxed me and it really set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. Next we enjoyed an amazing buffet and some foam rolling to work over any of our tight areas and then finished with Ying yoga. I left feeling relaxed, Centered and slept so deeply that evening. I am already looking forward to the next one. 🙏🏻 Natalie 😊
Charlotte Lister: Jackie is a wonderful teacher, very calming and knowledgeable. Teaches in a wonderful setting, thanks for such enjoyable classes 😊 look forward to coming back in the new year
Hannah More: Jackie is a fantastic yoga teacher with a wealth of experience. I have attended her classes at Watlington House and they have been above and beyond what I would expect from a yoga class. We have also used Jackie to deliver yoga sessions to our corporate office and consistently have great feedback from all who attend. You are missing out if you have not attended yoga with JK Yoga Flow.
Aspire Fitness: I attended the recent Yin Yoga with Gongbath . I really benefited from the foam rolling exercise learnt a great deal & enjoyed the experiance so much I have booked my husband & Sister for the next session 😊
Jo Griffiths: Jackie is just brilliant! Go to one of her classes and you'll be sure to return. I've never done any kind of yoga in a class environment. She made me feel at ease and I really enjoyed it! Jo. G 🙏❤️ X
hugo fonseca: Amazing teacher, do recommend! 🙏
Bethany H: I love Jackie’s classes, she is so thoughtful and helps you learn how to be kind to yourself. I attend her weekday classes but my favourite is her Yin practice on Sunday! If you suffer from a monkey mind, find it hard to switch off this is most certainly the class for you! All her classes welcome all levels, ages and flexibility so don’t be shy come join us!
Penny Kilbane: I joined Jackie's yin yoga classes on a Sunday and have thoroughly enjoyed the candlelit sessions, the lovely stretches and the overall feeling of well-being. I recently also attended a fantastic retreat day organised by Jackie. Jackie is a very knowledgeable, patient and friendly yoga teacher and I would highly recommend coming along to one of her classes.
Hélène Gautier: I love Jackie's classes. She's an amazing & knowledgeable instructor as well as a caring person. In April 2018, after some hard work from my partner to convince me to go, I did my first a yoga retreat with her in south Spain. It was fantastic: the location, the accommodation (charming little houses in an orchard of blooming orange trees), the food (so yummy vegan!), her classes. We came back re-energised ready to face the real world again. Already booked the next one, looking forward to Tuscany in 2019!

Yoginah (Yoga in Reading): what do users think?
The Wavesmith: Popped in on Saturday and met Purdy who was lovely. Had my first visit yesterday, not had a class since before lockdown. The studio is modern and comfortable. The class was lead by a substitute teacher(sorry forgot her name). It wasn’t typical of classes I’ve done before as it was more active. But I really enjoyed it and the teacher was engaging and kept an eye on the class, helping where needed. All in all, a lovely space and I’ll go back.
Vilde Gravdal: This is an incredible yoga space, classes throughout the day so there is always something that suits you. There is a variety of very experienced and friendly instructors and the overall atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. This yoga space is a community in itself, as they often arrange social activities as well as having interesting workshops at the weekends. There is always something on.
Melissa Harper: Yoginah is a not just a studio but a temple for the heart. After returning from my travels in India i was so happy to be guided to this sacred space. The energy of the shala is grounding and spacious, the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, the yoga teachers are experienced and knowledgeable, i felt revived after my class and i look forward to continuing my journey with yoginah and its very special community. After Living in London for 10 years its refreshing to find a genuine yoga studio with such simplicity and depth catering to both beginners and advanced yogic practitioners. A truly beautiful offering to the world of healing.
Laura Killick: Fantastic class with belen great all round stretch, great music ,great humour xx
Jessica Connell: A fantastic studio with a huge amount of variety. The kindest team have so much knowledge to share, its a joy to visit.
Paul Newnham: Great sesh today ✌️🤙Intense workout by Adam, but intelligently scalable. Awesome vibe, with smoothies afterwards!
Pooja Sharma: My overall experience at Yoginah is really fantastic.. Practicing Yogasanas at YOGINAH, is for everyone whether you are at beginner’s level or advance level practitioner… In love with the concept of practicing different Yoga styles under one roof along with good yoga teachers. Post every session at Yoginah I feel relaxed, energetic and centered. Every teacher at Yoginah show authenticity in their personality & have energy and a true passion for their teachings. They are empowering with a positive attitude. To teach from a place of authenticity, intellectual knowledge is supported by ongoing personal practice and exploration of yoga, whether it be the 8-limbed path or Vinyasa or Hatha tradition. Teachers at Yoginah see the individuality of each practitioner and teaches accordingly. They cater to all levels, offering alternatives, knowing how to alter the class depending on the different level of practitioners that attend on any given day. Special recommendation about Kim’s classes as she is an excellent teacher. Her classes are energising and fun. Her warmth and humour, including her willingness to make fun of herself, creates a welcoming and emotionally safe environment to try new things without fear of failing. As I have hyperextended spine which mean I can sometimes unknowingly over-extend in yoga poses. Purdy let me know how far to go in a pose, which is really helpful. She also pays individual attention to everyone in the class. She re-positioned you to help you get that extra boost from a pose and has helpfully re-positioned me when I’ve over-extended. Her directions are clear and precise . Both of them are very observant, constantly checking you’re positioning and correct you if needed. At Yoginah, all instructors bring a deep focus on technique, which has really helped me to develop a solid base of fundamentals. The venue is spacious and perfectly located with plenty of space to socialise. Overall “High Recommendation” for Yoginah!!!! 🧘‍♀️
Aya Nagai S: So glad to have this place in my neighbourhood... Good schedule with a wide variety of yoga and mindfulness aspects. Breaking a sweat, breathing deeply, connecting with people, learning new things... wholesome!
Ryan Oakey: Got a one week special offer that was an incredible deal. The studio was excellent. They had a good range of instructors with different emphases and all of the instructors we got to practice that week were excellent. I'm new to yoga, so I'm not sure how competitive their pricing is but I chose not to get a membership. It was just a bit too expensive for me, otherwise I'd definitely join the studio. If the pricing is right for you, I highly recommend this studio, you won't be disappointed.
Amelia Pange: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis is a fabulous yoga studio in the heart of reading. All the coaches are so well versed in the practices, bringing in various themes to each class! The website is so easy to navigate and book classes. Highly recommend to anyone who is interested!
Stefania Unida: I have been practicing yoga for many years and I can say Yoginah is a fantastic place where to practice. It also offers a community and a sense of participation that in the Yoga world is essential. I am enjoying very much the lessons both virtually and in presence. I highly recommend Yoginah for everyone who wants to learn and embrace the beauty of Yoga
Gloria Petroni: Lovely space and amazing teachers always a pleasure to come to one of yoginah's classes especially early morning. Would highly recommend.
Tom Smyth: I had the pleasure of attending a small number of wonderful classes at Yoginah before lockdown and they were amazing. The teachers are very insightful and there is a great sense of community buzzing around the studio. The virtual classes are equally as great and have helped me massively during Covid lockdowns. Can't wait to get back and get me one of those smoothies also!
Dulce G: A beautiful, cosy studio. An amazing team. Great classes. No judgement, only understanding and peace of mind, body and spirit. You’ll love all the classes and teachers. There are also very good workshops and courses. Also available virtually with the same high quality classes. The best yoga studio I have ever been!
Gamze Camci: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreat place to do yoga in Reading! They are teaching yoga with different styles and giving information about yoga philosophy. Also, the space is lovely, I always felt like at home.
Francisco Nieto: Purdy is a fantastic teacher with a very subtile and powerful touch, always on top of things to help and improve posturesAdam Saturday classes are so comprehensive, excellent to improve technique and smooth at the same time. I had huge fun with both attending their classes and hope to return as soon as I am back to reading. Thank you guys
Alex Tye: Awesome people, warmest welcome.
Charlotte Binks: I have actually never been to the studio itself as I only found yoginah post lockdown on the Mindbody app, but their classes have been a wonderful ritual to add into my week. Unlike other studios I tried virtually, their live classes are super clear to watch and listen to (thanks to the mics!) and I really like that the teachers can guide me and others to adjust our positions over the camera. Classes are easy to book onto and always a good balance between challenging, stretchy and familiar sequences. Thank you Purdy and team!
Paul Baker: Great studio, great teachers, great clean space. Good to see Reading has a proper yoga studio now!
Cristina Bohorquez: Can't recommend this place any more! Whether you are looking at starting with yoga or have been practicing for some time this studio will cover all your needs. The studio and community are lovely, warm and welcoming and their smoothies from another world!Great option as well to attend their virtual classes (they have this option for every class) - handy for when you're on hols, working from home or just feeling a bit lazy to get out of the house.
Will: Great space, very well organised & brilliant teachers. I have attended the 'sound bath' meditations (listening to various gongs, percussion & noises) and this sent me on a complete mindfulness journey relaxing my whole body. I felt so rejuvenated and at peace. Highly recommend! I will definitely be back to try out the other sessions!

Gently Strong Yoga: what do users think?
swati bachchan: Marie has been extremely instrumental in my pregnancy journey. Her yoga classes helped me foster strength in my mind and body. One of the many good things about her class is the format of the session. It begins with knowing about each other how one felt. Marie is beacon of knowledge when it comes to pregnancy and also practices as a doula.Through the doubts of mine plus others and answers given by Marie during the session ,lot of knowledge was build on by me. This followed by a well curated prenatal yoga 🧘‍♀️ posture & breathing practice session which ended with a delicious healthy cookie and green tea.Thank you a ton Marie for all the support, knowledge you have imparted and care. I am so glad I landed at your door😊
Cat Gould: I feel incredibly lucky that I found Marie and Gently Strong Yoga during my pregnancy. Marie has an incredible depth of knowledge about pregnancy, labour, and having a newborn. Her yoga sessions are fantastic exercise during pregnancy and prepare you for labour. The atmosphere that Marie creates is very special. With a maximum of 6 people per class she really gets to know you and your journey and it also lets you bond with the other mums and support each other. As well as building an environment to make pregnant women feel strong and supported, every few months she also holds a partner night, one of which my husband and I attended. He found the evening very useful and it made him feel more confident and equipped for the labour too.I am now attending her mum and baby yoga sessions and they are equally as valuable. I did not use her as a Doula, but have no doubt that she would make the perfect birth partner if that is what you are looking for.
Ashling O' Neill: Marie is amazing! I started attending her pregnancy yoga class when I was 15 weeks pregnant and it was honestly a huge part of why I felt so well, both physically and mentally, throughout my whole pregnancy. Marie is so kind, gentle, calming and of course knowledgeable and skilled! I have scoliosis and she expertly guided me through caring for my back throughout the pregnancy, and now postnatally. I attend her mum and baby yoga classes now with my little girl and we love it. Highly recommend!!!
Sarah Owen: Marie’s classes were a massive support through my pregnancy (all the way to week 42!) and postnatally - they gave me confidence for the journey to motherhood and what always felt like a well needed warm hug and reassurance, as well as some much-needed space to look after myself as a new mum. Thanks so much Marie, wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.
Bronte Lavine: Marie is amazing!I first went to her at 20 weeks pregnant through a recommendation of a friend. It was such an intimate class with only 5 other ladies attending and I felt immediately at ease.So much so that I booked her as my doula for the birth of my first child. I honestly could not have done it without her, her calming presence yet assertiveness and knowledge took a huge strain off my partner and me.I have since been attending her mother and baby yoga and love it just as much. A great place to meet like minded mothers and to be treated to a cooked lunch is the icing on the cake!Thank you thank you thank you!
Elizabeth Jefferies: I really enjoyed Marie's classes when I was pregnant and postnatally too. She is a supportive and knowledgeable teacher. I always found her empowering, she is an advocate of pregnant persons rights and choices. I think having a yoga teacher who is also a doula makes a huge difference to preparing you for birth (however you decide to bring your baby into the world) and repairing your body afterwards.
Lara Stavrinou: I started Marie's classes in my first pregnancy and continued postnatally. It was a real life line. I'm now back for my second pregnancy and loving the gentle pace and nurturing community. I cannot recommend these classes and Marie enough.
Penny Fletcher: Marie is so wonderful - I always feel so good after attending one of her classes. I started with the pregnancy yoga and now attend her mother and baby yoga sessions. I’ve enjoyed both hugely and Marie has helped me in so many ways. She also makes DELICIOUS healthy cakes and lunches! Amazing value and also a lovely way to meet other new mums.
Samantha Webber: Marie is a wonderfully compassionate teacher that genuinely cares about the people in her class (including the little people if you’re doing mum & baby yoga) She puts you at ease instantly and also makes the most delicious food!
Noemi Arena: Great place if you want pregnancy support not only for your body but also for your mind
kate Harvey: Marie is a fantastic teacher. She always reads the mood and steers the class to fit this perfectly. Marie has an incredibly nurturing nature so you feel fully supported throughout the class. I can’t recommend her enough.
Dani Hall: A welcoming, accessible and friendly class, perfect for all experience levels.
T I: I was always looking forward to join Marie's yoga classes after work. Once I was entering the class Marie was always having a way to make you feel relieved and calm. Her positive energy was giving me courage to move on and focus on the positive side of life. It's a shame that I won't be able to join her classes any more. I recommend her highly!
Sarah Lukazewski: Yes, it’s pregnancy yoga but not just yoga while pregnant. Marie supports her students on their motherhood journeys by providing intimate and warm classes of no more than 6 women in her cost home, fostering a community environment. Marie teaches breathing techniques, connection with the mind and body, how to move through labor as well as about labor itself. I’ve met and maintained friendships with the women in these classes as we’ve rooted each other on until labor and then we see each other again in the mum and baby classes. We’ve shared our birth stories, ups and downs. Marie provides tea / lunch with her classes really rounding out the feeding of the mind, body and soul. It’s everything I could have needed without knowing all I needed on my transition into motherhood. We also hired Marie as our Doula. She absolutely was my birth mom and took special care to understand what I and my husband needed from her and provided just that on the birthday of our daughter. She’ll always hold a very special place in our hearts.
Luba Petrekova: I came to Marie’s pregnancy yoga class expecting bit of exercise and I got so much more. Classes were great to prepare body via asanas, breath work and meditation, but Marie also creates small informal community of mums to be that support each other. By sharing her experience, knowledge and kindness she greatly helped to relax for the birth and transition into motherhood. And there is a cake at the end of each class :)
Paula Shaw: GentlyStrongYoga is more than just a provider of (pregnancy) yoga classes. It has supported me both physically and mentally. Before starting the classes with Marie, I had no idea giving birth could be a positive experience. Marie gave me the confidence needed to feel in control during labour. I’ll be her forever thankful. On top it has proven a great place to meet other mums (to be) too. Definitely recommend!
Jennie West: Marie is an excellent yoga teacher with an awareness of her students abilities and needs. She has great compassion and a lovely sense of humour. Following a diagnosis of breast cancer in 2016, I started a 1:2 class with Marie and found her support and teaching invaluable. Now I look forward to her evening class and can attest to its benefits for fitness and well-being.
Ray Sheppard: Marie is a great yoga teacher. Her classes come from a place of great wisdom and offer a true insight into the meaning of yoga practise. She has a very compassionate approach and teaches to the level of ability and understanding of her students.
sally tearse: Marie is a very experienced, knowledgeable, patient and insightful teacher. I started my yoga journey with her several years ago and she has helped me in so many ways! Would recommend her to anyone whether experienced or new to yoga, she will help bring you to you.
Jenny Reilly: I really look forward to Marie's classes each week they have been nothing short of a lifeline for me. Marie has guided me (and plenty of others) from mid pregnancy through to being a first-time Mum and has been incredibly supportive and caring in the process. In all the classes I have really benefited from the breathing and relaxation techniques, as well as the yoga stretches and chilled music. I think my little boy who is just 6 months recognises her yoga space and loves the classes too. One key point that I love about Marie's classes is we are open to ask any questions and bring up any issues we are having and know that there will be no judgements made, but lots of useful advice. We pretty much always have a giggle too, I would definitely recommend.
Holly T: I took Marie's pregnancy and mother & baby yoga classes. They became an important bit of time out for me. Marie is kind, supportive and highly knowledgeable about what works for your body through pregnancy, labour and post-birth recovery. I would highly recommend Marie's yoga classes.
