Hilton Reading: what do users think?
cicione barosanu: Food & drinks: Great food, the Chef must be a winner of Master Chef tv show! And the wine list is a good complement ;-) Enjoy it!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Ian Gunn: Great Hotel. Room was spotless, huge king size bed with very useful air conditioning. Easy to find and convenient for the motorway and free parking which is most unusual. My only gripe would be the food in the restaurant is a touch expensive. Indoor swimming pool is a bonus which I didn’t get to use unfortunately. I would definitely return.
Abdulrahim Sokoto: The hotel was absolutely amazing. The service, room, pool and fitness centre were fantastic. However, the breakfast was really great as it had halal selection but could’ve benefited from a wider selection of food. The location was also difficult and expensive to get to. Local Taxi costs £15 to train station and buses are about 6-10 mins walk from the hotel. Ubers hardly accept bookings from there.
Ian Bird: I like this hotel but it isn't in the centre of reading, a 10min taxi will do the job. Friendly staff together with a modern hotel including , nice restaurant, bar and gym , pool and jacuzzi.Normally, I'm not impressed with breakfast. However, I'm happy to say the breakfast here was impressive, great selection, and very tasty 😋.
Dunky B: Great customer service, lovely suite and amazing breakfast.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
Jason Huang: Staff was very kind and helpful. The gym and the pool were unfortunately under renovation so we couldn't use them.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Natasha L: A beautiful hotel. Wonderful food and to top off a great stay, we had use of the swimming pool, steam room, and sauna! I felt so relaxed staying here and will definitely visit again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet, Great value …More
Stephen Hall: Went to a meeting only. Parking was good.Location: 4/5 …More
Habib Kant Dr.: Great experience & a very comfortable stay.Rooms: Nice spacious rooms with excellent bedding. The staff were nice cordial. Especially at the front desk, Jana was very helpful and arranged a taxi for me promptly when I needed it fast. Thanks a lot for a memorable stay. XoXo
Paul Kilner: Booked for 2 nights staying dinner bed and breakfast, my colleague and myself. On the 1st night went to dinner and asked the member of staff what our dinner booking includes or limit, we were told "no limit" this seemed a little odd but as it was late only had a desert and a soft drink. Next night checked with same sever there was no limit and this was confirmed, seemed a little hard to belive as could then say "i would like one of everything" and asked to get this confirmed by manager. He came and told us now it has a £20 limit. When asked where this figure came from he said it was on the booking documentation and if we wanted to see it we need to go to reception. So off we went and low and behold this fictious £20 was nowhere to be seen. There was no amount shown at all. We were then told that this was an issue with the booking system. The problem was that this mythical £20 limit barely covers 10% of main courses. Then upon further investigation we identified they were now going to try and charge us for the 1st nights food. This took a lot of arguing to confirm we shall not be paying for this. Only solution offered was pay for your dinner tonight and if the booking details all match after an investigation they will refund the cost. NO TIMESCALE given.Shocking service from what is supposed to be a premium chain of hotels.I do however feel the two staff members we spoke to hand their hands tied a little by the company above. The booking system clearly is not fit for purpose and is an easy excuse to use.Be careful what you book is what you get
Paul Richardson: Easy to get to. A good underground car park with (whilst I was here) lots of free bays. The rooms are basic but clean. I wish they would put power sockets next to the beds. The air conditioning makes lots of strange noises.
fakher shili: Nice visit and delicious food 👍

Hotel Novotel Reading Centre: what do users think?
Chloe Parker: Absolutely perfect for a fun hotel stay, spot of local shopping and a swim. We often take our daughter for a night stay. Just for fun ☺️Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Kid-friendly …More
Jodie Waters: Small rooms. Terrific location. Great meals. Would recommend.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Angela Bowman: In for Royal Ascot lovely haven just a short train ride away from Ascot (Direct train 30-40 mins.). Proximity to Reading station a plus for getting around to other parks of Uk and to London or Wales for the day. The restaurant was good and reasonable priced as was the bar food and drinks. The staff were warm and welcoming. I would recommend to any wanting to be a part of Royal Ascot. Direct train to Term 2,3, and 4 on new Elizabeth line. We decided on cab £80 as bit easier with bags and got to see direct things along the way. Well done Novotel see you next year.Rooms: Rooms were very clean and housekeeping did a great job each day. Seperate toilet and bathroom and No over tub shower which is a plus for older people. Seperate bath for those that need them. Bed was comfortable TV was large and plenty viewing options for our rest days.
J T: No parking (without prior reservation at an additional fee for a limited number of spaces), unwelcoming and unhelpful staff, dirty / airless room with broken bathroom fittings. I couldn't get onto the WiFi or cast anything worth watching onto the massive but useless TV. Anything positive? There's a bus stop right outside (preventing you from unloading your car) so that's great if you're traveling via that stop I suppose.
Joe Rye: Novotel is set in a great location, middle of the city. All the things you would need, good bathroom - although no sink in separate bathroom and no water except very small cups for the bathroom tap.Staff were pleasant, although made me go downstairs to collect toothbrush kit (other hotels offer to bring to the room normally) - minor point.Double Bed was like sleeping on lumpy cardboard - very uncomfortable
Emily Moyles: Arrived early this morning and asked to drop bag which was no problem at all! I then asked if possible to check in and it was available.Free of charge once you join as a member. Aleksandra at the check in desk was incredibly helpful and friendly to us.Perfect location, 5 minutes from reading train station and 5 minutes from the oracle shopping centre.Leisure centre is open until 10pm daily
Bodrul Miah: I've stayed at this hotel 20+ times for work in the last 6 months:Bad:- No air conditioning in rooms. I would highly recommend you avoid this place particularly in summer. It is unbearable. Winter is okay, spring/autumn it depends on your tolerance.- Wifi is spotty and generally poor. Some rooms have no working wifi.- Toilet and basin are in separate rooms. Really odd.- many of the irons don't work properly, so you have no steam function and could burn your clothes.Good:- location is excellent. 2 mins to city centre and train station- room space is generally good- beds are generally comfortable.Overall, for the price of £130 per night at time of writing, the lack of aircon and poor wifi is unacceptable. These are basics. I now use a competitor hotel for my weekly work travel.
Abhishek Garg: Nice locationRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Iza trini: The air conditioning was very poor, the room was hot. We woke up a couple of times in the night, sweating. The sink was clogged, and the water was very slow draining. Every time we brushed our teeth, it did not drain fast enough, so the gross water was at a stand still and took a long time to go down the drain. We will not stay there a second time.Being an asthma patient, you need proper air conditioning from spring to fall, and of course, if you told the front desk this, there wasn't anything they could do about it.
Toni Young: I would reiterate previous reviews, there were good and bad points but overall, am disappointed to have spent the money and wish we'd stayed at Premier Inn or similar. We chose Novotel because we have found them to have great restaurants and pools - this one does not.Good pointsI can only assume that the pricing structure is based on location. It is very centrally located (this can be a downside if you don't like noise, didn't bother us).View from the room over the city was great. (Some rooms overlook the awful breakfast area though, beware!).Room was nice. (Would have been very pleased with it at approx two thirds the price!!) A broken shower was dealt with by moving us.Bad pointsBreakfast was shambolic, crumbs and food everywhere, everything slightly unclean including cutlery and plates, tables slow to be cleared and food of low standard. Dark, dingy restaurant staffed by people who couldn't care less.Arrived to be told we couldn't use the restaurant as there was a party booked that night, despite it being empty when we left for dinner and also when we came back. After the breakfast experience, was glad not to use it.Swimming pool could be nice if there weren't so many old plasters and bits of rubbish around it, and if staff didn't monopolise it (and the showers).Car parking costs £18 per night, be aware of that when booking.Food & drinks: Poor quality breakfast presented badly. Restaurant needs a deep clean.Noteworthy details: Book for the location, not the hotel.
Radu Andreea: Great experience!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
P J S: Stayed at this hotel as we wanted to get out of london and we’re looking for an affordable option with a swimming pool. The hotel is dated and the rooms could massively benefit from a refurbishment. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and given the swimming pool was shut on Sunday morning for maintenance they granted us a late checkout for us to enjoy the pool in the afternoon. The biggest attributes of the hotel is the wall ability and the swimming pool.
Louise Robinson: Room was spotless, great location but this hotel is sadly let down by the food, the fish and chips were really oily, the breakfast was shocking no bread for toast I had to ask for some and it took them nearly 10 mins to get some, the fruit had run out and not replenished and the English breakfast food was very low too. Very disappointed.
Venkatesh Satrasala: Good Receptionist and concerns will quickly responded.I was in 11 floor Executive Room for 30 days period. Room cleaning and arrange back to Normal by Laura housekeeping staff.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
