Andrew Brown: Went there for father's day lunch. Good value 3 course lunch menu.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Simon Birkbeck: Nice hotel, comfortable but hot rooms during the hot UK summer 'week'..! Decoration nice, pleasant surroundings. Breakfast pleasant. Car parking available but best to prearrange that before your stay.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Ann Attwell: Really enjoyed our stay. Parking is a bit of a pain due to the road layout but reception staff could not have been more helpful. In fact every staff member we met was polite, friendly and helpful.Rooms: We had a lovely quiet room overlooking the park. Very comfortable bed and excellent shower and bathroom. Robes are also provided.Food & drinks: My dinner was delicious. I thought about kidnapping the chef. Really beautiful meal. Only drawback was that the wine we ordered was not of the vintage displayed on the menu and was not as nice as it might have been had it been a bit older. However we were given a discount when we said we would accept it since it had been opened.

Ana remolacha: Customer service and attention to detail should be highlighted.Perfect location in the center of the city. 5 minute walk from the train station. The food is beautifully presented and of a high quality. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious with a luxurious layout and a very comfortable bed.Highly recommended.

Bharath Varadharajan: Booked in for my wife's birthday, restaurant is class, staff are fantastic. Decor and style is the same. Top tier facilities. Reading is a small town outside London, with most of the same conveniences and pleasures.
Ashley Topham: My husband and I stayed at the Roseate Reading townhouse for a night this past March. We stayed in the Roseate Suite and had an incredible stay. The staff was extremely friendly and nice upon arrival and during our entire stay. The Roseate Suite itself is a beautiful suite with a private living room, a Nespresso machine, a soaking tub, a steam shower, and a fireplace. It was incredibly spacious and beautifully designed. For dinner, we dined at The Reading Room which was a delicious fine dining experience. I chose the Velouté as my starter which had various textures from the curry sponge to the parmesan foam that balanced perfectly with the white onion velouté. As my main course, I chose the black truffle linguini which was incredibly rich and decadent, one of my favorite meals that I've ever had. For dessert, I had the Bavarian which consisted of a raspberry coconut Bavarian, a berry rose sorbet, and an almond sponge. It was the perfect amount of sweet and tart flavors that made an enjoyable ending to our meal. Overall, the Roseate Reading is a beautiful luxury townhouse hotel with an exquisite dining establishment that everyone should experience!
Isa Jo: Our room was located on the top floor in a corner. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet, giving us the perfect restful night before the half marathon. Also the breakfast was delicious. Everyone in the hotel was welcoming and friendly. If I wanted to improve something, it would be the lightning. The overall hotel is a bit dark and even in the room there is no option for proper lighting.

sade finn: It’s such a beautiful hotel, very good prices and very nice location! The room was so lovely and the staff were so sweet
Fotokunst RheinMain: Keine warme Dusche!
Stuart Beamish: One of the best hotels in the centre of Reading. 2 minute walk from the station. Trendy inside, bags of style. The rooms are large with large bathrooms, some with outside terraces. Coffee machine with pods, bottled water and soaps provided in the room. The food was excellent but a bit pricey £33 for ribeye steak chips and salad, but it was hard to fault. No parking, but there are car parks from £11/day nearby.Rooms: Large rooms with large bathrooms, some with terraces. Luxurious inside.Food & drinks: The food is as good as any top end restaurant.
Phil Wheeler: Second time we have stayed here, ideal if you are arriving or departing Reading via train or the RailAir coach service. Friendly staff in reception. We arrived early and wanted to just drop our bags off, which isn't an issue, however our room was ready so we checked in early. Previous stay we had a club room and this is the standard, but as you can see still very nice. Ideal for our overnight stay before early departure for the Eurostar in the morning. Has a bar and room service is from 3pm until 10pm.
The Knightstrider: Wouldn’t stay again. Unfortunately despite being in a great loction, our stay was ruined by no hot water for 4 days as the boiler had broken down. No real apology other than a letter on our bed full of excuses as to why it couldnt be fixed due to bank holidays. We complained to the front desk multiple times and we were offered just £100 back of our £550 total bill. This just about covered our £5 showers at the train stations. Handled very poorly, not even an offer of a breakfast or drink for the inconvenience of not having a basic necessity for our stay (hot water). Room and hotel were fine but the poor management of the situation let us down. Regular maintenance checks of the boiler system would have avoided a major breakdown that punishes your guests!
James Murray: I've often stopped by the hotel bar but this was my first time in the hotel. Rooms were lovely and staff were nice, but there was no hot water in our room. I'd hope this was a one off but I have to rate based on my experience.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Graham Clifford: We booked a package which included a junior suite plus 3 course meal, with a bottle of champagne, and breakfasts the following day. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, especially Yvette and Matt in the restaurant. The Flying Scotsman suite was a very good size, with a decent sofa seating area and large bathroom. The food in the restaurant, both in the evening and during the morning breakfast, was fabulous - we both commented that it was some of the best restaurant food we’d had for a long time. A great stay with no complaints.
Claire Woods: I needed a place for a last minute business lunch near the station and decided to try Malmaison in Reading. We went to the bar and were served by a very welcoming employee called Yvette. Yvette went out of her way to look after us, our drinks and food were absolutely spot on and the service was the best I have had for a very long time!Next time I need to go somewhere in Reading for a business lunch I will most certainly go back to Malmaison!Noteworthy details: Yvette is an absolute star!!!!
Carol Adkins: We ate last night in the brasserie and had an excellent meal. Each course as well presented, we tried the crispy calamari, burgers and steak with half a bottle of house red and white. Yvette our waitress was friendly and helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable eveningService: 5/5 …More
damon grégory: We spent one night before leaving to Heathraw. The crew was very kind and helpful with our 6 big baggages plus our cat. Thanks for helping us carrying them to the train station.Sorry for having left in the rush.
Mo: This place is a gem out of London.1 min walk from the station. The staff is absolutely amazing and the junior suite (orient express)? Ooooooo we did not want to leave!!!! Thank you guys! :)Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Chris Giles: The rooms were not very good. Getting a bit old and rough around the edges. The shower head needed descaling. Bathrooms had nowhere to hang the hand towels or anywhere to hang near the shower. The USB charging points did not work next to the bed, the desk lamp did not work and worst of all the WiFi is completely insecure. No passwords needed to access at all!! Also the cleaners were very noisy in the early morning by repeatedly slamming adjoining room doors. Won't be staying again unless they give the rooms a refresh. The staff were great and dud go above and beyond. The breakfasts were good as well, although the portion sizes were different each morning. That meant the value for money was diminished without explanation
Tracey: I would like to thank the staff and especially Nick for providing me with the things I requested for my partner’s birthday. They let me send parcels over to the hotel so I didn’t have to bring it all back with me. I appreciate the set up for the table and the extra drinks and snacks you added to the room, we could not thank you enough. I’ve stayed in Mal Maison Reading for a few times now their rooms are clean, the restaurant food is so good and everything else is up to good standard. I recommended to family and friends, this hotel does not dissapoint. Highly recommend. See you soon!🙂

Kiran Mudher: We are a family of four , two under 10 and this hotel is brilliant! The food is amazing , good selection at breakfast and lunch a la carte menu that caters for children too.Hotel is very clean and has an overall good vibe to it. What especially stood out for us is the staff. The receptionists Muhammad and Adel are the best people we have come across through our stays in different hotels across England. Exceptional service and are so helpful. They are absolute gems and an asset to the hotel. Receptionists give the first impression at any hotel and they what a warm welcome. We’ve had a seamless stay. The staff in the bar are also very good and friendly. Gutted I couldn’t get all their names but we are so grateful. If star rating was based on staff alone, this would be a 5 star hotel or beyond. Thanking the staff at the gym/ pool area too, our kids really liked them. The only downside I would say is there is no play area for children and updating / modernizing pool facilities could be looked into.Overall , we had a brilliant weekend and will definitely be returning soon.

Dean Harvey: Stayed here on route to Legoland Windsor. The hotel is attached to Reading FCs stadium. We had a good deal on a family room using some vouchers we had. The room we had was a bit disappointing though. It was the accessible room. Very basic but 2 large beds and a squeaky sofa bed. Low bath etc. Plenty of room for the kids and they didn’t mind. It Felt a little like we were just thrown in the last room available ahead of a wedding party that was in the hotel. No window outside either only onto an area with a roof light and some empty planters. The pool area and changing rooms were also disappointing and a bit untidy. Breakfast in the morning was good though with a wide range of choice. Staff were friendly especially the main desk. Good place to stop over on the way to other attractions.
Daniel Dixon: Wow what an amazing place. Comfy and welcoming. Bars, restaurants, cafe, gym and swimming pool. Really nice place to stay and the food was lovely too

I have had such positive experiences here that I don't see a reason to stay anywhere else. Faf: No aircon, just a weak fan, a broken bed frame and an old mattress (you could feel the individual springs poking you)......was allowed to swop it myself with another room's bed, although no help offered or given. This after I changed rooms because the connecting door to next door's room couldn't lock and they had no key for it.......I walked in on an old man lying on the bed in his pants when I checked that door. Shower curtain so close it just keeps clinging to you when you try have a shower. Bit pricey for what you get, but if there's nothing else available, it'll do.
Emily Jenkins: Awful, avoid, bed bugs!! We stayed here after having the most wonderful day at Royal Ascot only to find we weren't the only guests in our room.... it was invested with bed bugs!!! We ended up leaving at 1am, the night porter said that he has reported the bed bugs on numerous occasions to the manager!! AVOID! Even the sheets were stained as photo below shows! We were kindly offered a refund!
Jackie Wilcox: When we arrived their was 2 of us but there was only one cup and no spoons and the milk was off so I had to go and get milk from the reception and we stayed at the lawns hotel not the Parkside international. Alfa_Driver: The staff were friendly and helpful. The King size bed, made up with 2 single duvets... was weird. The room was clean and tidy. The foyer had a good atmosphere.Irons must be requested, and very frustratingly they couldn't find me a working one. Tried 2 and both wouldn't switch on (they are safety irons, but neither worked). Annoying when preparing for a meeting. In review, I will likely stay here again, but expect next time to be supplied a working iron!

The room was clean, bed was comfy, and the bathroom (which was very modern) was small but clean and everything worked. |We had a kettle, mugs, coffee, tea and milk provided. The staff were very nice and I could leave my car there all weekend knowing it was safe. The only thing I found which was an issue was there was only one plug socket available. But other than that, it was good! Would definitely stay again for Reading Festival weekend.

Ryan Evans: The Crescent Hotel, Where do I start this place is apasolutely hanging and falling apart. When we arrived the guy in reception told us there was some painting being done in the hallway and to expect a little mess. Which is fine but as we got further onto our room it was more coming to light this place is just filthy and has mould and damp problems. All the walls are crumbling and falling apart with leaks in ceilings etc. our room was discustingly dirty smelt of damp all of the doors and floors are so thin the person staying above us you could literally hear him using the toilet and stomping around all night so we didn’t get much sleep. It says on there website they offer daily cleaning but when u ask about this the lazy person in reception wants more money for this which it doesn’t state in website not to mention it’s not been cleaned properly before. There’s no breakfast either and the excuse is covid what a surprise. The shower is apasolutely awful and dirty along with the floor in the bathroom I felt cleaner before I had a shower. I would not recommend this place to anyone Wouldn’t be surprised if they have a animal infestation either.
