Queen Alexandra Hospital: what do users think?
Gurphylock: The Emergency Care Centre team have been amazing today. Thank you to everyone for taking such good care of my partner.Friendly, calm and professional 😇
Chris Law: I had a fall a couple of weeks ago (Fri May 26th) and went to A&E about 6pm with a suspected broken wrist. The Emergency Care Department staff were absolutely wonderful. Despite being very very busy and run off their feet,  everyone who looked after me - from reception to nurses to doctors and x-ray staff - all were absolutely fantastic.  A special shout out goes to nurses Kerry, Angie and Stacey. Although they were coming to the end of a very busy day, you wouldn't have known as each patient was treated in the same kind, caring, and professional way. They were a credit to our wonderful  NHS. Thank you to them and each and every one of their wonderful team.............I’ve now been referred to the Fracture Clinic and I've met some more fantastic staff who also deserve a shout-out.Firstly, there's there's Jan from the Plaster Room who took my my call just as the department was closing one evening but stayed on to listen to my concerns about my back plaster and gave me lots of very much appreciated reassurance which totally alleviated my worries. Then when I went for my first Fracture Clinic appointment, I met Karen in the Plaster Room who was doing a great job dealing with an already very, very heavy workload of patients. I don't know how she did it, but Karen managed to keep her sense of humour and calm approach even though several of the patients were unnecessarily rude to her and her team because they'd had a wait.Karen was ably assisted by a very competent, encouraging and smiley Emma to replace my back plaster with a full cast.A HUGE thank you goes to all of them. As a patient, it's so reassuring to be looked after by such capable, professional and friendly staff.
Alan Morgan: Its a large hospital.
Jessica DeLude: Not great-- no real following of practice rules for cleanliness for nurses, no one person washed their hands when examining me, only two wore gloves, no wipe down of shared equipment before/after my use, a cleaner used the same paper towel and sink water to wash down common areas. When I dislocated my knee I was made to walk to another area of the hospital alone with no support or aid at all, and evidently emergencies after 9pm were deemed not urgent and the lack of care was shocking. When I was brought in via ambulance and couldn't walk, a doctor made me walk to an exam room and questioned why I couldn't, and dismissed my explanation. Pain management equated to 3 ibuprofen under the guise of observation for effect, but no further interactions were made with me regarding it.The CQC lists this hospital as Green, but the things I've seen should place it well lower than that. The attitudes of most staff were pleasant, but this can't be pinned on understaffing of NHS, it's just a lack of care for basic practices of health and safety for patients.
zeenat jearally: Hi someone can help to fine a home in Queen alexandra hill road please...... thanks is my what's app number ok 👌 +23059092146
Paul Ellis: Some signage to certain wards confusing
Dee Alexis: Appalling A AND E DEPARTMENT. No training in mental health atall. A friend attempted suicide a few days ago, major over dose ambulance rushed her to the hostipal. Toxic overdose, she was in 7 hours no blood tests no treatment . Just seen by a doctor that said suicide is silly and told her to go home. Nurse was very rude to her also, she wasn’t checked upon and let to go home. My friend left and tried sucide straight away . You don’t even want to know the outcome now ! Absolutely disgusted the staff that dealt with her should be ashamed and sickened . She shouldn’t of left that hostipal , without seeing a mental health team. You deserve blood on your hands
Tara Bruno: Looked after my baby on nicu for 53 days and have been amazing! Can’t thank them all!
Brad Hughes: Absolutely appalling level of care, completely unorganised, staff levels are worse than ever, staff attitudes are very poor. It's time to get private health care insurance. The NHS has become a joke...
julio Da Silva: Long wait…however amazing people working here!Very surprised how good the staff are here!
Pj B: Breast services clinic staff and consultant (Dr Lorna) made an otherwise stressful experience very tolerable with obvious professionalism and gentle humour. A tough job at times, I am sure, but they were fabulous.
nicholachadwick1: An excellent hospital. Patients seen and treated in a very timely manner… A tricky delivery with my son was handled very well indeed and always felt extremely safe. After a family members surgery we were impressed with the cleanliness of the hospital and the attentiveness of the staff. Also impressed with the prompt and effective treatment. Thank you so much!
Clare Lyons-Baker: Excellent maternity servicesI transferred care from St Richards and found QA and the Havant community midwifery team, absolutely wonderful! Thank you for everything 💙
Leo Dinnage: staff are overworked and doing their best
Anthony Snook: Very good service
nick woods: Well dur how could you like a hospital
Pompey Smith: Excellent facilities but communication between departments is very poor
Lewis Doherty: Staff are so lovely and friendly thanks for all the help
Jessica Ball: Fabulous team that genuinely care. Thank you :)
Marion Cuthbert: Rather not
Vanessa Raynbird: I had an appointment to visit ENT at Queen Alexandra Hospital today and would like to thank them for an extremely efficient and friendly service. My appointment was for 10.20, I was in with the doctor at 10.30, a scan was carried out 5 mins later and all clear results within 5 mins and back in my car by 11.00. Thank you to all involved, you do a magnificent job.

Spire Portsmouth Hospital: what do users think?
Griogair S: Decided to go private as condition I have is quite debilitating and nhs wait times are long. after my initial consultation and ct scan I was told I would have to wait over a month before my next appointment to go over the results of the scan. That is frankly a pathetically long and embarrassing wait time for a private service and I feel personally mislead to think that I would be seen in a quicker fashion. Poor service.
Michael Gent: Just tried to book an appointment and told they can't see me until July. I am paying for private healthcare with AXA and I could do it quicker through the NHS. Spire, your service stinks.
Jen Connor: If I could zero , I would. Treated like an inconvenience from the start. Harper is very dissmissive and extremely judgemental bordering arrogant. Was taken into theatre for an injection into my joint and barely got a chance to dress , was told keep everything on and marched to the theatre where I was rushed through the proceedure and out of the door without any sling , no follow up, no pain relief, not even a cup of tea. Always talked to as if I were unintelligent or taking up time. Eye rolls, abrupt and ignorant communication, huffing, no concern whatsoever. The problem was never resolved but written as such. Its affected mobility long term. Inhumane experience. Wouldnt take my dog.Avoid!!!
Anne taylor: Booked in for a self funded procedure, everything from arrival through surgery and discharge was like clockwork , very attentive staff all paperwork and discharge medication was speedy and explained thoroughly . Taken off one star as the rooms are looking tired.
D M: Nowhere to park, reception staff slow and mired in endless paperwork, doctors running late, admin staff pushing for your credit card even if you’re fully insured. AVOID.
Olivia Davies: Please don’t go here. I had my nose job done here and I came out with a bodged nose wishing I had done more research. My nose looked better before. My experience wasn’t too bad in the hospital but I didn’t feel relaxed and didn’t feel comfortable. Not worth the money.
Adaobi Nwankwo: I wish I could give less than 1 star. Service is horrible, I wouldn’t recommend here atall.Let’s start with booking an appointment that was stressful because we booked an appointment to see a surgeon and we weren’t on the list despite the fact we had already paid for the consultation fee and confirmation of payment sent to me.Then on the surgery day we were told it was ok to come in at 9am, we got there on time and was made to sit at the reception till past 11 o’clock till we could be called up to the ward.I couldn’t go into the ward with my sister, why did I decide to go private and paid cash if I can’t enjoy the luxury of having 1 family around before my surgery. Their reason was that ohhh it’s a busy ward.It would have been better going to NHS that spending this money. All in all stay away it’s not worth spending so much to get this horrible service.
lee disdle: Disgusting service! The only best part was my partnersConsultation! Got sent a quote for my girlfriends surgery payed it in full to be told it was in fact the wrong quote had been given!! would be issued with a new quote thinking it wouldn’t be much different to be then sent a quote which was £2000 dearer!!! Asked for a refund they said 3/5 working days it’s now been 10 working days still no refund!!Wouldn’t recommend a local company!
shabaka kenyatta: We are covered by insurance. you cant get anyone to answer phone calls, they send you spurious bills as they cant get their admin right, cancelled appointments, turned up and the consultant wasn't even aware. I can understand if this was a free service but to pay for it and still have this level of service is a bit ridiculous.
rob tosh: Organisation wise a very poor outfit, probably under resourced.Departments do not seem to communicate. Dread to think how they perform in an emergency.
John Allen: Superb establishment
Chris Gerrard: So friendly, so many helpful staff. Plenty of free parking. Immaculately clean as you would expect. Well equipped private rooms, delicious menus.
William Brett-Atkin: Everyone I’ve spoken to or interacted with has been so kind and professional. Waiting times are always minimal from my experience.
Pamela Andrews (Pamela Jayne): Absolutely first class treatment by Mr Harvey when after trying for 3 weeks to get through to my GP surgery without success. Within the space of a week I had my consultation, MRI scan and diagnosis. You can't ask for more than that. Thank you very much Mr. Harvey
Sophie Laughton: Ok so first this review is based on purely reception staff ... My consultant was fantastic so I have no complaints about her. However reception staff are so rude, I would like to point out there is no sign to state no children are allowed, there is also a child waiting area! Which is not shut off. Ok I'm so angry because I am a mother, who's husband is currently away on deployment, I am unwell and of course at hospital so already anxious. For my follow up review I had to bring my 4 year old, it was short notice appointment and I have no childcare at short notice. He is not at school yet so had no choice, I also did mention on the phone I will get in the car now with my son and be on my way. No mention on telephone that children were not allowed. When I arrived I went to reception, not to be greeted with hello how are you yet "is there someone in your car outside" I replied no? She then said "oh can your child wait outside in the car" .. I was shocked I said no he's 4! She then said " children are not allowed so ideally we should rearrange your appointment" ... I was so angry, am I expected to leave my child outside on a leash then? ... I explained my husband was away so I had to bring him ... She kept on and on and on .. next time don't bring him children are not allowed etc.She was very rude and said to him go and sit down, as if to say you can't walk around as you are some nuisance or disease! How dare you instruct my child what to do.Again I want to make it clear no sign to say children are not allowed .. and child waiting area so you would assume children are allowed!Consultant was great though as I said this is purely on reception.
Simone Parenti: Very disappointed. Had my operation here which went great and I’m glad for that but the service and overall experience was terrible. They told me to come at 6AM that I’d be first but then they reversed the list without telling me so I waited 5 ours after waking up at 3AM coming from London before my operation. For how much you pay I was expecting a more modern room and better food to be honest. Finally, hidden charges are always there. Had to pay £170 for a follow up after my surgery with my own money, no one told me that the follow up to check for healing had to be paid. That’s insane.Go to another hospital.
Debbie Cole: I am very dissatisfied with my whole experienceI went in to my operation and came out with a head injury, ,when I questioned it there was an enquiry but nothing else was done and 6 months afterwards I still have a dent in my head. This happened whilst I was in their careI was also told with the care package I paid for that all follow up appointments were included and that isn’t the caseI would never use The Spire again
Jeremy Hilton: Excellent first class care.Thank you.Very well looked after by Marius & Sam.
Marie Dennis: I am very dissapointed with this hospital and unable to offer any recommendation at all. I was referred by by my GP and saw a consultant reasonably quickly concerning a hip replacement. He was very helpful and suggested an operation. When asked, he said about 3 months waiting list but contact my secretary for further information. During the past 3 months, we attempted to contact her but she was very vague and suggested that we write in for details and lead in times. That was at least a month ago and we have heard nothing. We have now organised the hip operation elsewhere.
luca T.: I don’t recommend this place. My wife was charged £250 for 25 mins without receiving a final answer or having any idea of what her issue was. The consultant referred to someone else.I can understand if the doctor is not able to tell you what your problem is, but why do you bill your patient? That’s not a service we should pay for.If I get solicitors advice I actually pay for an advise, not a referral to someone else.
Laurence Way: Absolutely fantastic, you get an amazing covid screening on the door, great reception and the doctors here are incredible. Well worth it if you want great peace of mind with fantastic service and delivery. The doctor was knowledgable and personal. I really left my appointment happy and please that someone intelligent was able to assess me and give me confidence for my issue. Great great practice.

Lighthouse Dental Practice Ltd: what do users think?
mandy lynch: leanne, the hygienist, took all the pain out of an experience i totally dread. she is excellent! i will absolutely recommend her to my family and friends.
Nicola Mittens: I can't recommend Lighthouse Dentist enough, amazing dentist! The reception staff are very helpful and extremely cheerful, Sophie the hygienist does an amazing job too. Mo the Principal dentist is absolutely fantastic. I am a very nervous patient, he is ALWAYS empathetic and reassuring. Thank you so much to all the Team :-)
peter gray: Saw the hygienist, excellent.
Anastasiya Ostapenko: We can't thank enough to Dr. Andreas, exceptional dentist, huge thank you from my mum too, he saved her from her tooth ache!!!He also speak many languages and has managed to communicate to my mum in her native language so no interpreter needed. 💙💛
R: I went for a second opinion at this dentist. I paid £70. I found the tone and language of the dentist I saw, very blunt when I asked her about my 2 teeth in question. I mentioned I came to find out my treatment options and the pros and cons and particularly least invasive options. The first thing she said after glancing at the XRAY was “they are both doomed. Your going to lose both” to which I was taken a bit aback and stated that I am looking for options on how to best save my teeth and was looking at pros and cons of different options to which she continued with cons of every option, saying there was no least invasive option, even after I clearly stated that she was making me stressed. A horrible experience; a blunt and negative approach. It’s what creates anxiety in people about going to the dentist and puts them off going, which is not helpful and just not a very nice interaction to have.6 June 2023Edited in response to reply:Just to clarify; I asked for an opinion on ‘treatment options’, not on whether i would be ‘losing my teeth or not’. My actual dentist had recommended extraction of a wisdom tooth to repair the tooth in front and I wanted another opinion to see if there were other treatment options, to avoid an extraction or whether this would be the best option for the situation.Opinion is also not fact and therefore people should be careful ‘how’ they deliver their opinion and also consider what opinion is been asked for before delivering whatever they want, the way they want. I do not expect the first thing a dentist says to be “they are both doomed, you will lose both”. Surely you would not expect this either? I do not appreciate this style of communication.Yes, that is what I expected; that someone explains both advantages and disadvantages of each option and explain reasons for recommendations and that is what I paid for. Unfortunately, as mentioned, this was not my experience.
Elaine B: I would highly recommend Lighthouse Dental Practice. My dentist, Mo, Dental Hygienist Helen and the Reception team are really friendly, efficient and make you feel welcome and relaxed. It's the first Dental Practice I have been a patient at where you actually get seen at the time your appointment was scheduled for, and don't have to wait around for ages, which is also a bonus.
Jayne Jazz: From start to finish I received an excellent and kind service.
joe South: Very polite reception staff and hygienist was excellent
Mark Bawden: Had a tooth extraction today and Eddy and his assistant made sure that I was comfortable throughout the procedure.
Ann Glass: After a few years away from a dentist practice I was very pleased with all the Staff and service received.
Rachel Colvin: Can't thank Mo and team enough for the work they have done on my implant. It was fitted back in 2019 and I was over the moon with it - looked and felt just like a real tooth. However, this year the crown snapped and I was left with a gap. Mo checked it and confirmed it was a 'rogue' post holding the crown and has just completed a refit of a new crown at no cost to me. I'm so pleased and will be using lighthouse again for a composite filling and tooth whitening. Prices are competitive as I've checked elsewhere but I will stick with lighthouse. It's rare to find such excellent customer service these days. Thank you so much, everyone. Smiling widely again! 😀
Toby Simmonds: had a six monthly hygienist visit, Leeann was very professional and explained my faults and gave very good advice about long term care, she then dealt with my teeth!joking aside she was very good and I could not fault her.
dark_ glass: Great treatment from Sophie, Mira and all staff at Lighthouse today. As a nervous patient who hasn't attended since lockdown I was really anxious but I was put at ease and left feeling calm and so happy with my teeth, also less worried about my next appointment. Thank you, everyone, I can't recommend Lighthouse enough, especially if you are a nervous patient.
Moaner Innit: Very clean and friendly staff.
Graham Wallace-Stock: Very friendly and professional. I always feel like I have been treated honestly.
Kerry Georges: Great caring service as always
John Smith: As always an excellent and very professional service. A1 in all aspects of patient dental care. Thank you.
Chris Cox: Excellent professional service, from the hygienist to check up with the dentist.Thank you.
Gergana Dimitrova: My kid was really thankful and happy to her dentist Mira Krumova.
Gemma Willett: A absolutely lovely dentist, the staff are so loving and caring, honestly the best practice I have ever been too. Mr Kortesiis Is a brilliant dentist, I even have a laugh while I'm there and I don't think I've ever had that with any dentist before, it's lovely for me cause I used to have such bad anxiety. I definitely recommend it. The dental nurses are truly lovely too. There's not one comment I could give cause it's a great all round. Thank you also mr koresiis for my beautiful new teeth. Xx
Taine Carpenter: Excellent job very pleased with results had a lovely lady

St Mary's Hospital: what do users think?
fiona hilton: The care and consideration I have just received, from the doctor in UTC to the staff on S Deck then upstairs to Alverstone ward, down for surgery next morning and back to ward. I am blown away by the care I received. 5 star and beyond.Simply amazing
Rex Barker: Wait for a while
Khusro Shamim: Good
Stuart Wood: Whoever was on the desk overnight 4/5 March with the power of the buzzer letting people in to the hospital, her attitude is absolutely disgusting, wouldn’t even let ambulance drivers in to go to the toilet, you have to go in through a/e, she must really think she is important.
gary inman: Staff very helpful. A/E waiting was very hot.
EnglanE: Wonderful, lovely, truly caring nurses and doctors, who made my time in A&E as comfortable and quick as possible - you are all stars - amazing receptionist, too.Thank you all so much. ♥️
Emergency Alert Content: Where's mary?
Mary Markham: I attended the A&E department while on holiday. The care and attention was amazing. Special thanks to Kim who had me transferred to urgent medical care and because I was struggling she got a wheel chair and took me to the correct area. The attention and care exceeded all my expectations.
Neil Prangnell: Appointment was on time ENT , I am generally happy with how I have been treated
Nick Emery: I came in on Monday morning, around 8am, and was seen quickly, and treated very well by doctors, nurses, and supporting staff. By far the best NHS experience I have had, and I have had many!
John Bateman: 4 hours on a trolley in heart area, and no information when asked half hourly for ANY update, decided they were wasting time, or coffee/tea breaks, finally discharged myself after 4 and half hours. Disgraceful behaviour. Will probably be told more training will be given etc. etc. You can't train people for common courtesy and telling the truth.
jane hill: One particular accusing me of shouting but apart from her we all had a freat
Birute: Thanks so much to A&E Pediatrics team, especially nurse Claire who helped us to sort medication for our daughter in Emergency situation. You saved our holidays! Grateful for such a positive experience with this hospital especially when far away from home. Keep an amazing job!
peter london: I would like to thank and commend Kirsty who works in the MRI department. She went out of her way to help me sort out a difficult situation and took the trouble to ring me back.Thank you
Mystical Mayhem Clothing: Is the NHS Failing? My 87 year old nan was suffering from abdominal pain and so after a long fight with the doctor was advised by paramedics to go to hospital. After running some tests they found an issue with her appendix and started a treatment of antibiotics. After a few days they said the levels were going down (normal range is 0-5, hers was still at 200) but she should go home. My nan has had 3 strokes and is not as able as she once was so she needed help to go to the toilet and dress herself and was still feeling far from well, suffering from a lot of pain. While seeking home care help from the appropriate services due to being discharged while still ill it came to light that on the hospital discharge papers they had lied and said that my nan was able to look after herself and was now fine to go home, this includes using the toilet on her own, dressing herself etc. Both of which she could not do and was required to call for help each time do to complete lack of strength and acute tiredness due to illness. To add insult to injury my nan was back in hospital a few days later as the hospital had messed up putting the cannula in her hand and an infection had taken place, which was found to be spreading up her arm. She was in hospital for a few hours and then wheeled outside the building and ready and waiting for collection, no pain medication offered and nothing else done other than being told to go home. When my Aunt collected my nan there was no doctor to explain what had been found, no one was forthcoming with information about the infection and in fact the nurse bascially just handed nan over with nothing more to say.Is this how we look after old people in this day and age?So in answer to my first question, Is the NHS Failing? I think the answer is a clear and resounding yes. When we treat the vulnerable in society as a nuisance instead of the respect they deserve we are failing as a society. As a side note during her stay she was only allowed one person to visit her for one whole hour a day, is this not a place for healing? Prisons allow for greater visiting times. Having a person kept away from friends and family for 23 hours a day is not healthy, it's a proven fact that people heal quicker with human contact (especially loved ones) as the mind has to remain healthy to promote healing.
Sian Busby: My baby had an appointment at childrens outpatients, I couldn’t find a parking space for 20 minutes in either car park and was told as I was late I had to reschedule. Luckily the doctor could do the appointment on the phone whilst I was double parked. I would arrive a lot earlier than your appointment time to get a parking space.
Allison Reynard: Took a friend to the day surgery unit and she said she was treated like a queen, well done Rachel and crew
Jess Fareham: 13 year son fractured wrist, every member of staff we met were really lovely and dealt with us with so much care. I think we are very lucky to have such a wonderful hopsital and lovely staff in the childrens dept.. thank you
Sharon Taylor: I attended Motterstone Ward on Friday 25th March 2022 for major surgery. Miss Allahdin was my surgeon and I cannot praise her enough. She is highly experienced in what she does and I have nothing but respect for her and gratitude. I was very worried about my surgery and she was quick to reassure me. The staff of St. Mary's work very hard and treat you with respect and dignity, not to mention compassion. Thank you to everyone who looked after me.
Tammy Zhang: My son was in hospital while we are on holiday here. The service was amazing!! which really made this stressful situation much much better! The staffs are so friendly. The rooms are very well equipped. They have a lovely children’s playroom, and even outdoor play area. The nurse looked after my son is called Charley. She is so nice and friendly and helpful, my son absolutely loved her! There is another nurse with two plaits whom I didn’t manage to get her name - she looked after us the day before and she was just amazing too!Overall everyone we met there are nice and professional, and many of them beyond that, making us want to move to this island just because of those friendly people!
Lyn Corney: Big shout out to Dr Aladdin in the emergency treatment room who went the extra mile and couldn't have been more helpful to my husband this evening. Thank you so much.

Royal South Hants Hospital: what do users think?
Abbie Paddington: Not happy with walk in centre went in Tuesday as I was so unwell, I lost my hearing and felt like I had an infection as I was coughing up greeny yellow stuff and also through my nose, I was there for 4 hours and get told there was nothing wrong till I finally went to see my own doctor and told me I have a really bad infection and given antibiotics. Walk in centre needs to stop putting people lives at risk. Not happy
Nessie Chappell: Arrived early with a stick was told that I could not enter x-ray as staff were having lunch but to come back later, I had no money as paid taxi and was to use buss pass to go home, so in the heat I sat on the wall til my appt, ended up a very thirsty person, x-ray was quick. Unlike myself.
linda briers: My husband was worried he had damaged his prosthetic hip, GP surgery sent him to the walk in centre, he sat for ages and then got told they don’t X-ray hips. My daughter twisted her ankle badly and her foot was very swollen, she could barely walk, after paying for a taxi and waiting a long time at the RSH, got told they had finished X-rays for the day and come back the next day , she spent £20 in taxis, my other daughter took her little 11 month old son there, sat for hours only to be told they don’t see children under 1, even though 111 told them to go there. Maybe the RSH should share a list of what they do and don’t do with the rest of the world, including 111 and GP surgeries. No wonder so many go to ED.
John Lyness: Quite honestly the treatment I received by the orthopaedic department has changed my life, for the better. I was suffering badly with an arthritic hip joint for a long time.I was referred to RSH and underwent a hip replacement. I was assured by everyone that I would be without pain, and I was after two weeks friends neighbours remark how I am walking upright and a smile on my face.Thank you ALL I could not have received better treatment anywhere.PS To the young man who brought me the tea and toast the lady who made me scrambled eggs that could not have tasted better. Can absolutely recommend RSH
Margaret Collins: I went to the walk in centre on Sunday and I just want to thank the doctor and nurse that saw me and sent by ambulance to the general, if it wasn't for their outstanding care I wouldn't have found out that I had Bells Pulsy and was treated again with care by the nurses and doctors there so enabled me to go home with the right care which is ongoing. I want to thank the lovely ambulance girls who made my journey easy they do an amazing job. Thank NHS 😊
rob haynes: Visited today, queue looked long but if you take into account every patient has one or two people with them, then not so bad. Staff are A1 received excellent care and treatment. These people are angels..
Phil Davidson: They fixed my poor kidney. much love and respect. i do have terminal now
Kat Woodford: Both times I've had to visit up here the staff have been wonderful, so kind and helpful. Yes there can be long waits up there depending on what you go in for but both times I've been seen to I've been out within an hour. Excellent service and grateful for the treatment I've received especially when today the gp surgery wasn't helpful/rude over the phone So I ended up at the walk in.
dave brogan: Great hospital as hospitals go
ranger rover: Excellent service Had a tick removed by trearge nurse. No problem.
Sam H: I have visited on a number of occasions over the last few months and on each of my visits I have been dealt with efficiently, professionally and compassionately.
Adam Zielinski: she kicked me out of the office without medical because I asked about the waiting time, she put my life and health at risk. breathing problem. strong heartache. this is fascist action! !!!! I recorded this visit available Youtube ! They are paid with our money. !!!!this is how the patient is sentenced to torture and the death penalty!!
Uttam C P: I feel bad that 3 stars was the best that I could give.I got in to the Urgent treatment Center (UTC) with a dislocated and fractured shoulder. The triage took about 30 minutes. I came in at 12:52pm so by 13:30 I was in triage. Since it was a dislocation, the region was swollen very badly and I could only rest myself in one particular position. I was in a lot of pain and was feeling light headed. I made this very clear to the receptionist. The waiting area had no place to sit and despite seeing my condition, and that I was in a lot of pain and without a sling, no one, I repeat, not a single “heathy” person gave space for me to sit down (healthy people in the UTC waiting area were those who accompanied patients or those who had to act as translators). That was absolutely appalling. I think they should make it clear that patients are the priority.Anyway, after 13:30 triage, my next call back was at 16;00 for the X-Ray. I sat for 2.5h in an awkward position because of the dislocation and (at that time, potential fracture) biting through my pain when I saw people, who came in after me, who were healthy enough to stand, chat away happily on the phone, go inside for treatment before me. That was quite painful to watch. So much so that a patient who did her registration at 15:30, had triage at 15:45 and X-Ray just before me. I was very distressed. I asked the initial examination practitioner to give me some pain relief (I mean, shouldn’t he recommend this to me when he did the triage and saw me biting through the pain?).Anyway, X ray was done, they decided to fix the dislocation and then did a few more XRays and told me it was a fracture. The follow up from fixing the dislocation at around 16:30 to telling me it was a fracture at 17:15, things went by a little more smoothly. Dr. Ward did a fine job of helping me.Overall, my feedback would be a better initial examiner who could potentially send in emergency cases first (it was not just me as most of you reading might be thinking that I’m biased towards myself but I spoke to a woman and her child who had a head injury and they were waiting for triage for SO long. There were three more such cases who looked visibility in distress and required urgent treatment but were sidelined for a later time).Secondly great job on the treatment. I was taken care of very well once the initial fiasco was over. Thirdly, a better system for patients to sit down and those who aren’t patients to wait outside.
Richard Heywood: Went for an initial consultation for NHS hip replacement surgery. Extremely efficient process, appointment on time and we were looked after by a lovely Nursing Assistant, Rose.Thank you, one and all.
Richard Mills: Had a procedure in the Endoscopy unit, the staff were simply outstanding. Upon arrival I was made to feel immensely comfortable, the staff actually cared about what came out of my mouth as opposed to visits at other hospitals in the past. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at RSHH
Stephanie: Really friendly and genuinely caring staff. I went in with a sprained ankle. I was triaged within 30 mins and within an hour or so I'd had an x-ray and was able to go home with some good advice from the lovely nurse. I am so so grateful for the NHS and it's wonderful staff. Those that moan should think about how much something like this would have cost in America for example. Overall a really good experience (aside from the sprain of course)
martin treacy: Bit of a wait, but that's hospitals these days
Giuseppe Laghezza: I wasn't in the hospital for leisure, that's why I gave a three stars rating, apart from that, it was okay I guess. I had a hearing test.
Abdo Ali: جيد جدا
Garry Maher (Gaz): Great service, brilliant doctor
Michelle Carey: Information staff are very rude. They spoke to myself abruptly and then proceeded to hang up.

Spire Southampton Hospital: what do users think?
Becky: Absolutely amazing, I genuinely owe Dr Patel my life. Extremely knowledgable, calm and reassuring approach. I felt the hospital to be sincerely invested to follow up my progress and provide me the support I needed. The facilities were faultless.
Francis Whiffen: Went in a week ago today for a triple bypass Mr Barlow is a brilliant surgeon and filled me with confidence and also did a marvellous job I can’t believe how pain free I am on paracetamol only since day 1 The nursing staff in every department are caring and both professional and super friendly helpful The food is hotel quality and the food staff lovely Thank you all so much for all your help in my speedy recovery If I could give a million stars I would
Dani Watt: From my initial contact right throughout my journey dr horlock has gone above and beyond to achieve my dreams!. A true dr who cares for their patients more than money! And this is hugely reflected on Dr horlocks work!! A massive thank you. Danielle kiely
Dawn Zabojskyj: Very dismissive Consultant. Nurse was lovely. MRI department difficult to contact and abrupt attitude. Off hand receptionists. Yet to see what happens at future appointments but so far not impressed in the slightest. Constantly asked if I am a private or NHS patient. I am NHS. Does this explain how I am being treated ???
Mario MN: Never step foot in this place.UNRELIABLE AND END UP PAYING FOR NOTHING NEVER STEP FOOT IN THERE AGAIN.I have experiencing bowel problems for couple of years and decided to go private as I thought they would be quicker in helping me.I saw DR CUMMINGS and he advised me to do a blood and stool test, which I did and paid 500£ including the consultation. Before I left the hospital they told me the results will come really quickly and they will send me an email. 2 weeks later I call the hospital and ask for my blood and stool test results. The reception and other workers in the hospital told me that the only person that could give me the results is the secretary called TINA MCENANEY. After calling her for 1 month straight and sending her a ton of emails because she was ignoring me or she was passing me to someone else 2 months down the line I am still waiting for my results. TINA MCENANEY is making excuses because the first time I called her she told me that she will tell me my results when the stool results come back and 1 week ago she said that my consultant will phone me on 30-03-23 which he never did. SO YES THANK YOU SPIRE HOSPITAL FOR MAKING ME PAY FOR NOTHING.
Jamie Goater: It’s my only experience of private healthcare and it’s been awful!!
jessica Hart: I am a frequent patient of the Spire Southampton having attended numerous appointments there over the past year or so. Unfortunately I was recently sent a large hospital bill for multiple charges I was not informed about at the time, despite asking at reception and being given false information. After extensive emails and phone calls I’m being told that because I signed a form saying I agreed to pay hospital charges that I am being forced to pay them, even though amounts were never actually conveyed to me. By this logic they can ask you to sign that form and then demand you pay them £10,000 and say ‘well you signed the form so you have to pay it’. I won’t be using this hospital again unfortunately as I’m very disappointed.
Barnaby Wilson: Seems to be impossible to contact them to book an imaging appointment. They don't answer the phone, even if they do they say they need to call back and then don't, and leaving a message doesn't get a response either. Worse than the NHS who at least bother to answer the phone
chris brennan: Just had a day at the Spire, which included a Shpjlder Operation. Arrived wre at 7.30am, and from then on have been treated like royalty. 100% praise for all the staff for looking after me. From the receptionists, porters, anaesthetists, physiotherapist, food staff, and of course Doctors. Brilliant. Everything explained to me from the start. Everybody so nice. Its been a pleasure being here. Thankyou. Christopher Brennan ( Room 47) x
Amanda Moore: Diagnostics and consultant appointment carried out, all same day with results as self-funded patient. Would have taken much longer with NHS wait lists, worth the reduction in anxiety. Pleasant atmosphere and professional attitude from all staff.
Dave Lown: Had a Septoplasty Op performed by Mr Harries. Can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience, everything went smoothly and my nose is feeling incredible, I can actually breathe now and it’s done wonders for my mental and physical health!Special mention to Helen and Lynne who made sure I was comfortable and reassured me throughout the day! Thanks to the team at Spire Southampton!
mustafa sheddar: I wanted to go for general check ups to this hosptial …… any recommendations?! Like head to toe general check up ?! Any good this hosptial ?! I can either go to Turkey or Thailand for same check ups but never tried uk wondering if I should give it a go ?! Kindly recommend anyone has experienced general checkups here …. Thanks
Sho P: Thank you to all the nurses and Dr Byrne for everything! Cannot recommend this hospital enough!! Keep up the excellent work!!
Misako Minshull: I had an email from a woman called Lucy for the job I applied for something like 10 years ago. I replied and told her that I did apply for bank position in Berkshire but heard nothing back , so she must be mistaken. She apologised and asked if she could pass on my information to appropriate people at Spire in Berkshire, so I said yes but she never bothered to reply. Not impressed.Spire Hospitals in Berkshire were just as bad.
Nicky Beal: I am still at the hospital but have been so pleased with my care I thought I would write now before I forget. I have been for a one night stay in an private room and under the care of Mr F Gardener for my operation. The room itself is immaculate and comfortable with a large tv to watch from the bed and own private en-suite with shampoo, body wash, dressing gown etc provided. The buzzer has separate buttons for the nurses or the catering staff which is brilliant so you don’t feel like you’re pestering the wrong people. My care has been fantastic and everyone has been so nice. I think the longest I ever had to wait for a nurse once buzzed was about two minutes and they could not do enough for you, never making you feel a nuisance for asking for basic help. The food has been delicious and was accessible whenever I needed. It has felt like being at a hotel and just coming for surgery. I could not have asked for better care and if I have to have any further treatment I wouldn’t hesitate in coming back.
Mike Anson: Cannot fault the care from start to finish, initial consultation was rapid with the consultant taking the time to listen to all my concerns. Investigations, MRi, performed within days, physio prescribed within days, plan put together and treatment initiated quickly. Day case surgery performed within weeks as needed. Hospital admission, fast, efficient, kept informed , cared for my friendly, attentive staff. If only the NHS was this way too.
kevin freemantle: Extremely friendly and professional staff that exceeded all expectations and made things run smoothly. Well done team and thank you.
Raïda bahsoun: Great hospital, we saw Dr Burgess who is a wonderful doctor, great listener, patient, non judgemental and gave us some great advice for our daughter. Definitely recommend Dr Burgess! Thank you
sarah fox: On Thursday 18th august, I had a gastric sleeve at spire Southampton. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel so welcome. I was taken to my room and met the nurses, consultant and anaesthetist. All were just outstanding. The hospital is extremely clean. The nurses were incredible during my stay and nothing was to much trouble. I highly recommend spire Southampton
Paula Ann Mizon: 5 stars for 5 star service i was on Ward 1every member of the Nursing team were exceptional in the Care they gave me ..100% recommend
richard binns: Just had hip replacement here and I want to say a big thankyou to all the staff so caring polite and they do a brilliant job .all on ward 2

Innovate Dental Studio: what do users think?
Brian Wheeler: Anyone brave enough to peer into my mouth could not fail to perceive that I am no stranger to the dentist’s chair. From constant trips to my school dentist in the fifties and sixties to 34 years of Naval service most of my teeth are now filled or crowned. Until recently I was convinced that Naval tooth wrights outshone the best. Our move to Lee introduced me to Innovate Dental Studio. From the friendly and efficient reception staff through Beryl (ex RN) hygienist to my outstanding and great fun dentist, Lisa, they are all consummate professionals and my 70 plus years of experience rates them as undoubtedly the very best I have ever seen. I never thought I would say this about a dental surgery but my visits to them have always been a pleasure and I can not recommend them highly enough.
Jennifer Christie: Beryl the hygienist at innovate is absolutely brilliant, had not been to dentist for 12 years but she put me at ease and now have no worries about going to see her she is a 10 star plus in my opinion.Would also like to say Andrew is brilliant I can say I have a lot of work done with him after not seeing a dentist for 12 years he is kind and gentle.Would also like to say a big thankyou to all staff very friendly and helpful.Jennifer Christie
Mark Lyden: Lisa (the dentist) was totally professional, reassuring and caring at all times both before and during my extraction. Her bubbly personality helped me to relax and make light of the situation. Two quick injections later and a few minutes wait my molar was extracted in seconds, no pain whatsoever. Lisa then took me through the after care process, which was very thorough and professional. May I thank the team at Innovate, in particular Lisa (and the dental nurse) for their professional and timely service. Many thanks Mark
Steve Marshall: I have been with Innovate dentist for 3 years now and have always received a highly professional, friendly and effective service, be it with the hygienist or for dental work. I recently had some new veneers fitted and the result was excellent. Highly recommended.
Christine Coles: Recently had implants, sinus lift,Bone Graft by Dr Andrew He is an excellent caring Dentist. I am Extremely happy with the results.Very caring and kind team Thankyou
Jessica Stubington: I have had excellent care at innovate .. I’ve had various treatments including extraction, crowns and implants ..They are very professional and caring right from reception to Dentist and hygienist . I would gladly recommend them .
Ben Robinson: I’ve never been a fan of going to the dentist but I was extremely happy with the service here. Had a filling and they were kind, caring and did a great job!
Jon Harrison: The team at Innovate are superb. Over a journey we took together, Andrew and team provided the best guidance, advice and recommendations that produced an end result that was better than I could have imagined, plus restored my self confidence. It was the little things that made a difference- can’t recommend enough!!!
David King: I have been a patient at Innovate for many years and I travel to Lee-on-Solent from the Isle of Wight. I have always had excellent treatment and service from Dr Andrew and his team and am particularly pleased with a veneer which has restored my model like appearance and smile. I recommend Innovate without reservation.
Rosie Harfield: Innovate has been my dentist for as long as i can remember and has always provided me with the greatest care and top quality treatment. The innovate team are wonderful and hard working. if you ever need dental treatment this is the place to go. Andrew Smales is an advancing dentist increasing his skill in other areas of treatment and cosmetics. I wouldn't want any other dentist to look at my teeth! Always feeling good after a visit.
Stephanie B: I joined this practice at the beginning of 2022 and was initially impressed with what I saw. I had a dental plan put in place that included a breakdown of each treatment that needed to be done. All was going well until I had a filling on a back tooth in August 2022 by December of 2022 it had come out while brushing my teeth so I called the practice and asked if there was any guarantee as 4 months was a very short period of time for an expensive filling. I was told that there would be no charge as they usually come with about 12 months guarantee, with this information I booked an appointment for January 2023 to get it fixed. I arrived for my appointment and the filling was done again, I discussed with the dentist what would happen should the filling come out again and it was suggested that either a crown or a silver filling should be done as it would last longer (if this is the case then why has he put a white filling in for the second time!). When leaving the practice, reception asked if I was there for a replacement filling for one that came out recently so I said yes and reaffirmed that I was told there was no charge, she said that something had flagged on the computer so she would check and let me know. I returned home and got a text message to say that there would be a £138 charge but as a gesture of good will they would reduce it to £69. I called the practice the next day and told reception I was not happy that they were charging me for this, I made the payment and cancelled my next appointment and she said she would speak to the dentist regarding my concerns. I got a call next day to say the dentist was not removing the charge as he had said previously that the filling might not last, this was totally untrue as the only conversation that took place regarding this was when the filling was re-done 2 days ago and if this was true you would never put a white filling in for a second time. Had I of been informed that a silver filling was more likely to last I would of had that done given it was a back tooth and not noticeable but this was never mentioned until after it was re-done. My belief is that if someone is good at the work they do then they would be quite happy to guarantee it, if not then it's shoddy workmanship and they are more interested in taking the money. I will also go back to an NHS dentist as private practices are clearly no better.
Steff S: Just want to thank you all for your hard work today. Had my implants placed and could not be happier.
baran kaplan: I had a root canal treatment and paid 700 pounds for it. After 7 months, the filling I had on it broke. When I went back to fix it, they said I had to pay the check-up fee and the procedure fee again. I am not satisfied at all.
Nigel budd: Friendly staff put you at your ease. Very Covid safe. Excellent service.
Trisha Louise: Can’t rate these guys highly enough. Been with them for a few years but never needed anything more than a check up until today. My daughter needed a tooth removed and she was so nervous… but they were amazing with her! Thank you so so much for your care and patience. My daughter will not be going to anyone else now!
alex groves: What a great service from start to finish. 3 Crowns, 3 Implants and a Vineer. As someone who doesn't like the dentist Andrew and his team have made me feel calm and confortable throughout the 6 months process of getting me from a mouthful of mess to a full set of fully functioning teeth. Highly recommended
Keith Brooks: This is the best dental practice I have ever come across and certainly the best in this area.Yesterday, Andrew, Roy, Diane and the rest of the team spent the entire morning working on my teeth and I can honestly say that I am 100% happy with the work that they have done.I would recommend them to anybody who needs any dental work.
Sooz: The team at Innovate are so friendly , kind and understanding. I had a lifelong phobia of dentists, Lisa and Beryl have been amazingly understanding and gentle! I now look forward to my visits for routine checkups - I NEVER thought I would be in this position, I cannot recommend Innovate highly enough!
Steve Thomas: I have been attending Innovate Dental Studio for many years. I cannot endorse enough, the sheer professionalism of the entire team and practice. Dr Smales is caring, an excellent dentist and, above all, his aftercare is exemplary. His team are friendly and warm with patients. What more could you want? I have recommended a number of friends to him and EVERY one has had nothing but praise for the service and attention they received.
Lisa Laycock: Andrew and his team have given me excellent service over a number of years. I’ve had my teeth straightened and it was a painless experience the results were amazing. I’ve also had Botox at the practice and the results are the best I get anywhere. 100% would recommend this place. Staff are friendly & caring.
Mark Child: I have used Innovate for my dental needs post-Covid and all treatment has been provided in a safe, first-class manner and and totally professionally with practically zero discomfort. Not the most important factor but, every appointment has started exactly on time. Very happy patient!

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital: what do users think?
Charlotte Lloyd: This hospital is wonderful in comparison to any other I have been to, the staff are very friendly, helpful and supportive. My consultant is very nice and understands everything I have to say. From what I saw on my last visit, they have gone to far lengths to be covid free, and appear to be successful. However when the surgeon gets something wrong or makes a mistake and even admits that, suddenly if you are NHS you become personna non Grata, and follow up appointment doesn't happen, so if you have money then go to Harley Street London if not, the Queen Alexandra is good.
Kev Egerton: I had a full right hip replacement on Monday thank you Mr wakeling and the amazing team from the nurses physio's and catering staff and everyone else. I wish you all a Merry Xmas and a happy new year
Mark Chadwick: Friendly staff and a very fast service ... No waiting around like at NHS hospitals. An excellent place to be treated.
chris anderson: Amazing experience.Arrived at 2 pm ….procedure at 3 pm …out the door by 4:30 pmQuick , efficient and friendly.
Gillian Shadbolt: very friendly and efficient. attentive and informative. felt relaxed and treated so well. cant fault it.
Lisa Underwood: Fantastic service from Mr Lam for my elderly Fathers eye surgery. Would highly recommend Mr Lam and this hospital.
Emma Reed: Very welcoming and fabulous customer care from the minute I walked into reception until I walked out the door !Ann-Marie (nurse who looked after me on the ward) was lovely and very supportive throughout. Thank you
Simon Hester: This is an excellent hospital - you are made to feel at ease throughout your stay by the skilled, happy and caring team. If you have to go to a hospital and have a choice, choose the Nuffield Chichester!
Debbie Keane: Admitted to Nuffield early morning of the 24th of Feb to have my gallbladder removed following months of severe pain… on arrival taken to my room by a Nurse called Carol. Carol talked me thru the entire process / took me down to Theatre and took me back to the ward. Post Op I was in what felt like unbearable pain. Btwn Christina from Theatre who did everything possible to Carol taking me back to my room calling Dr Joshua, to the surgeon coming back to see me .. the help was amazing. Carol handed me over to the safe hands of Claire, it was decided as I was still struggling with pain that I wasn’t medically fit to go home and therefore kept in overnight. Claire was amazing, both nurses showed so much care,Kindness and compassion to their job. Nothing seemed too much trouble and I felt in such safe hands. Claire then handed me for the night shift over the lovely nurse from Kerala, (where we shared amazing stories) again care amazing … wouldn’t let me have my drugs until I would eat at least one biscuit ! So sweet ….. Penny the pharmacist equally as brilliant ! Today they were all back in again … full of life and showing such kindness to me …. From pre to post care absolutely amazing … I throughly recommend the Nuffield ! The staff are amazing … from the Surgeon, to all the Nursing staff … (even the electrician that came to fix the door lock ! Don’t ask obviously very talented man)… Big big thank you xxx
Andrew Bower: Fantastic experience the staff were great
Kim Malson: Went to the pain clinic on the 14th. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and rheumatoid arthritis. I am on loads of medication. Staff were good, but when I went in to the specialist it was insinuated that basically I was lazy and exaggerated and should stop my medication and go back to work, even though, after his little physical test had the audacity to deem me fine. He could see how bad I was! He made me feel so bad that I cried all the way home! Nice to see that fibromyalgia is still taken so seriously!!!!!
Bill Lambert: I had a NHS funded total hip replacement operation here. Now 4 weeks on I am making a good recovery, so I highly recommend this hospital.
Alan Phillips: On behalf Christine: Saw consultant, had MRI scan on back, follow up consultation. Recommended epidural. Gave him full list of my medication. Date agreed for procedure, had an interview with nurse 3 days prior to agreed date. Again full list of meds given. Attended hospital on agreed date, got gowned up and ready for injection. Anysthatist came round, looked at my medication list and said he could not proceed because I was on epixaban! The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing! Poor service!
Jeffries Marka: Medical staff are fine, reception and appointments though are awful. We use this hospital at least once a year and quite often getting trying to get through to make an appointment or ask a question is impossible, including non return of call back requests.
Marius Albu: Lovely place, amazing people.
Denise Viviers: Friendly clean and professional
Peter Parsons: Ok
Sara Blend: Really poor service. I was called back three times to get a scan reviewed due to bad admin. Then although I was awaiting treatment, they discharges me. One star is too much
Joe Isaac: Both NHS and private appointments here. The NHS bought space in private hospitals due to Covid. Very well organised.
Michaela Terry: From the moment I walked in I was treated with respect and care. The sandwich and pot of tea after the op were delicious. The people in the operating theatre were all respectful but fun and put my mind at ease. Because I have other disabilities I couldn't lie down how they usually do with this op. It was not a problem to them they made sure I was a comfortable as was possible. I cant fault any of the staff at this hospital. Back on Wednesday to check the dressing. Thank you all so much. X
Sue Nunn: The hospital is brilliant. With amazing staff. But I do have one complaint.I had to visit the hospital for a pre op assessment. After which I was told I could not use a toilet. The journey there took over half an hour and the pre op maybe another hour.On leaving the hospital busting, there was no where to stop on the way home and I had an accident.I have another visit soon for another short procedure. Will this happen again? There has to be a toilet for patients to use. It's ridiculous.
