No6 Cinema: what do users think?
Peter McFarlane: Very good cinema with a great choice of movies. Lovely cafe bar too. Thoroughly recommend it.
Daniel Back: Fantastic cinema located in an historic building in the Navy base. You can feel the history when you walk in.
Daniel Hatfield: Lovely cinema with a well curated schedule and very reasonable ticket price
ANN-MARIE BOOTHROYD: More people need to go there, it's a hidden treasure
Jane Mcardle: Great cinema, but be warned lots of stairs and seats could be more comfortable. Selection of films fairly good.
James Donougher: Incredible hidden gem, tucked in the heart of the city’s working dockyard in Boathouse 6. This 275 seated auditorium boasting one of the largest cinema screens in the south coast of England is really worth making your local go-to cinema. Run by volunteers who all have a passion for films, this independent cinema is run by film enthusiasts which can only mean one thing, it shows the best films too! Check out the film showings and get yourself down there, discounted £5 cinema tickets throughout January too! They also have a cafe to have a drink before each showing; great place, friendly staff and incredible venue!
Luke Raynsford: Amazing venue. One of the best cinema screens I've been to
Kevin Cloud: Great place for a cinema but need to massively turn down the heating. Four of us with no more than usual clothing i.e.just shirts and no thick jumpers came out physically sweating. Bear in mind my wife normally says i am permanently cold. Surprised in these times they don’t want to turn down to save on energy bills too. Way too uncomfortably hot. Without this issue i would rate higher but just too uncomfortable.
Sharon Anderson: Wow! The best Indy cinema ever, with the biggest screen I've seen (except for IMAX), and a cute little bar area, for your pre-film drinks.
Andrew De Tastevin: Excellent thanks to all the staff it's my first time in no 6 cinema very clean &tidy many thanks
Brigid Buckley: Biggest screen in Portsmouth and a delightful bijou bar
Richard Goldfinch: Good atmosphere here in the dockyards. Small bar run by volunteers. Nice curved screen.
Elliott Diamond: Amazing
Nigel Gainford: Well worth a visit great location sit with a glass of wine and enjoy a film.
Dylan Pank: Love this place!
William Edmiston: As stated before, l love the cinema, interesting non-mainstream movie, but a hike to the back row.
Joan Hodson: A great addition to Portsmouth s entertainment. The cinema is comfortable, seating is spacious and tiered, a good view from all seats. The only minus is all them stairs, anyone (like me) that has difficulty ask in advance for the lift to be available. Cafe available for drinks and snacks. Only given 4 stars because of the stairs.
Les Ward: My first visit to No.6 Cinema tonight to see Portrait of a Lady on Fire. What an extraordinary experience! A cinema like no other, No.6 has a gargantuan screen with pin-sharp image, and to see such an intimate film shown so up-close-and-personal was almost overwhelming. Such an unusual and friendly venue, housed in a converted navy boat-house in the Royal Naval Dockyard. Lovely café area where I was able to grab a delicious local ale (at a very fair price) to take in to the auditorium, and chatted briefly to one of the team, who it turned out had personally selected the film (which I was gutted to have missed on the big screen on its 2019 release as it wasn't shown anywhere near me). Sadly I'm not local, otherwise I'd go to just about every film they put on, their programme includes many arthouse releases that the multiplexes always seem to overlook. I fell instantly in love with No.6 Cinema and would highly recommend it to any film enthusiast. My one and only criticism is that the seating could be more comfortable.
James Latter: Great cinema,Hugh screen and a great sound system mainly showing the older films but occasionally shows blockbusters keep an eye out on the web site. Highly recommended.
Troy Crowhurst: Great to have an Independent cinema in the city. (I remember the Hornpipe fondly)Location nice and like the decor too.Nice community feel with films available not viewable in multiplexes.Bar gives you pleasant option pre film.Only criticism is that viewing screen is far better high up in middle. Bit of a neckstrain fron extreme wings. XPs. Just watched 'Summer of Soul', ironically among an apparent 100% white middleclass audience.Compelling viewing, whatever.x
Clare Connolly: Great cinema!

Malcolm Smith: Went to see Little Mermaid ( New Film ) loved our visit, will go again

Derek Vidgen: all staff very friendly
Susan Fletcher: Very good and comfortable
Hayley Brember: Always friendly service, clean cinema screens and seats, good value for money on tickets, great range of food and drink options.
Helen Adams: Good place to see a film but with all the restaurants just next door go early eat first. Enjoy a meal followed by a good film
Grant Morgan: Nice and small theatres. Not to overcrowded. Plenty of space to stretch. Book online for cheaper tickets.
Connor L-C: Overall cinema experience was good, the seats were very comfy, sound was good, no interruptions, the food was fairly priced for a cinema because you got a lot for what you pay for. Male staff member at the counter seemed a little rude and definitely didn't want to be there, the female staff were very friendly though and even helped me when I was carrying food by opening the door for me.
Russell Clutterbuck: Fantastic
Aerial Adventures: Always a good experience, friendly, helpful staff.

Hazel Powlesland: Great watching Guardians
Glenn “Space Man” Taylor: Staff need to pay more attention to customers and spent less time having a group chat

Portsmouth Film Society CIC: what do users think?
Jacqui Munro: My daughter attended a private viewing today with her day services, she was so happy! Her carer said everyone was so welcoming , many thanks
Michael K: Absolutely smashing cinema home. Comfortable, lovely cakes and drinks, conscientious fellow watcher’s, a treat for cinema lover’s. Check out the daily releases, from classic cinema, to art house, contemporary and British cinema. PFS/CIC doubles as a cultural centre with regular, varied lessons/ demonstrations. Run by really friendly, helpful folk* Support this wonderful local endeavour:)
Dylan Pank: Lovely venue, showing lots of great films! Nice café too!
Gregory White: Fantastic outdoor film experience.
George Zippy: A Brilliant experience at a fantastic venue. I personally requested the showing of "The Last Bus" starring Timothy Spall which was screened last night at short notice. I even produced a poster to place in their window. I walked in the place 3 minutes before the start of the show expecting to be the only one in the venue. Remarkably, there was an almost full house and a special chair was provided. No red carpet though! It was just like the spoken end of the movie when the star of the movie Timothy Spall - uttered the words. "What are you all doing here" after he finally arrived at Lands End on a special mission after travelling all the way by local buses from John o' Groats to Lands End. The movie featured beautiful Scottish scenery, lots of buses and had many twists and turns. Well done Ayse for screening this superb heart warming movie.
Bill Cunningham: Went to opening night of Southsea Community Cinema last night. Dune part one was the screening. Great atmosphere. Really satisfying to get away from empty multiplexes Friendly people with home cooked cakes and biscuits. If you remember small cinemas and appreciate them give it a try
Nat: I had two screenings booked with them, and they cancelled them both at short notice. They refunded the ticket cost but they didn't refund the booking fee. This seems unfair when i had no control over the situation and i have received nothing from them in terms of a service. Didn't even bother to explain why they cancelled one of the screenings. Will not be booking with them again.
David Knowles: I work with Portsmouth City Council to prevent crime including knife crime and hate crime. I worked with Ayse at Portsmouth Film Society on a Home Office funded film project in May/June 2021 to produce a series of films which aim to engage young people on these serious issues. It was a pleasure to work with Ayse who was very professional but also extremely creative and appreciative of the serious nature of the subject, whilst providing opportunities for lightness within the films.Ayse was excellent to work with and I am very proud of the finished films which have been viewed by Government Ministers in Whitehall as well as by local teachers - all of whom are impressed by their professional finish but also the engaging nature of the work.Well done to Ayse and I highly recommend her work. This week I am using the finished films to deliver to 200+ Portsmouth teenagers... and with knife crime and hate crime rising fast, these films needed to be good.David Knowles,Community Coordinator, Crime Prevention,Portsmouth City Council
Billy Stevenson: Always showing a great selection of independent films and continually involved in projects that serve the community.
Sir Kal: Very good experience
Ricky Spavins: If your into films then this should really interest you.

New Theatre Royal: what do users think?
Steve Chorley: A truly beautiful, small, old theatre, full of character, great leg room and views. This is my first time visiting the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth, but it most definitely won't be my last. The style of the theatre fitted in beautifully with the Tiger Lilies ethos. Will be searching out the New Theatre Royal's website regularly to find any other suitable reasons to visit.
gost 9792: Went to see Laura (knee deep in life) who was amazing, my face hurt so much from laughing, we got the last tickets so were upstairs behind a post which was fine, disappointed the seats had no backs but it was fine, beautiful place, great staff, very friendly and helpful and plenty of them.
Pauline Baker: Staff didn't seem to know where we were sitting - after showing our tickets - or when we could go to our seats! So extra stairs for two seventyplus ladies!!! Not a good start for our first visit to New Theatre Royal!
Julie Allen: We bought tickets to see "Knee Deep in Life" but my friend fractured her spine in an accident the month before. We didn't think we could attend the event as the seats up the top were benches, so I called the premises and spoke with Karen to see if they could resell the tickets.Karen was an absolute star. Karen took my details stating she would move us if the appropriate seats became available nearer the time. A couple of days before the event Karen called to say she had moved us to better seating that would help our friend to be able to join us at the show...and an awesome show it was.Thank you Karen for what you did. Sorry if we embarrassed you with the thank you card and flowers but you deserved it. We can't thank you enough.Thank you also to the entire team. You were all so helpful. Xx.
Vie Portland: We've only been to the theatre a few times but, every time, it's been great. The seats we had yesterday had lots of leg room (Stalls, row F), which meant we were more comfortable than at some other theatres. The theatre is beautiful, with so many ornamental features to look at.And the staff are lovely! Not just polite but chatty, too, which I like.
Craig Bryant: Lovely theatre
Travel Queen: Small gorgeous little venue. Really friendly staff. We need to look to after our theatres and I will be returning.
Simon Reed: Lovely small theatre, friendly staff and nearby parking !
Stuart Gross: The venue is tired but the show was good...Simon & Garfunkel Story
Sandra Crawford: Lovely, comfy and plenty of leg room. Never sat in a bad place for seeing stage. Only thing I find difficult is lack of space on bottom bar and entrance.
Deborah Foster: Seats could do with renewing as I found them uncomfortable
Sharon Roberts: Been three time recently. Loved all the shows.
David Holland: Like going back in time. A good experience
Susan Harriss: Saw Royal Marines Band of Collingwood! BRILLIANT Staff very friendly n helpful n seats comfortable 👍
Mark Lane: Great venue super intimate setting, loved it.
Adam Frost: Great little theatre.
Michelle Stevens: Beautiful theatre, super staff, loved our visit
Paul Murray: Great little theatre, drinks available, friendly, helpful staff.
Jed4ManCity: Lovely little theatre with lots of food/ drink options before your show inside and out. Needs some TLC in parts. My daughter lived Twirlywoos!
Ray Keyte: Brilliant atmosphere
Denise Dobbie: A very nice place and friendly staff and show.

Reel Cinema Fareham: what do users think?
Sylvia Kennedy: Amazing live stream. Loved it
Styleinteriors58 Tyler: Saw the new mermaid film with my granddaughter she loved it and got the early film discount
kevin yates: Great 👍
Sabna Ahmed: Nice small one, liked the popcorn, friendly staff, not crowded 🙂
michael richardson: A real mess, toilets not working and rubbish everywhere.
Andrea Hughes: Reasonably priced cinema, always seems so quiet
Sam Quin: Definitely feeling a bit tired and they forgot to dim the lights in the theatre. Tickets were cheap though (Tuesday night), especially with the Meerkat 2-4-1 deal.
Pam: Enough rise of rows (I am not tall and often have a head obscuring my vision but not here). Nice helpful staff!! I love this place
Carl Kemish: Lovely staff and watched John Wick great film 😄
Aerial Adventures: Seats were minging from previous performance. Saturday 6th May 23, 2010 performance, screen 5. Cans & Maltesas all over the seats, empty sweet packets on the floor and seats. I wish I could add photos! Not acceptable!
Stephanie Xo: Decent prices but it was filthy today. Tables and chairs looked like they hadn't been cleaned for ages. Toilets were filthy. Rubbish everywhere and loads of empty toilet rolls.
John Cullen: Very fair price for show. Nice atmosphere. Parking a car close only problem. Parking a problem in Fareham. If can get to by taxi then great. Highly recommended.
Emma McCartney: Good points:friendly staff & good price.Bad points: Seats were absolutely filthy (screen 1) we looked at alternative seats and picked the least dirty ones bit everything looked and felt grubby.Pic & Mix tasted stale too🤢I also think they may have an issue with sound as it sometimes hits an unbearably high level (no I'm not old and moaning as my kids think the same too).Sadly I don't think we will return even though its half the price of other cinemas.
Tara Epps: Clean quiet great film
Amy B: Been here many times. Good popcorn and good value tickets!
Nathan Groce: Clean, good prices and comfortable.
Jonathon Hurley: Amazing time
Sharon Lewry: Love going here. A lovely cinema at reasonable prices
littledave988: One staff member on the till, took ages to get served. Only to find that they have no pizza, hotdogs or cheese for the nachos. Bit of a joke.
Charlotte Pettit: Great place...Had to wait outside for door to be unlocked. Some of the seats were dirty.Otherwise good
Matt Blossom: Good cinema
