Queen Alexandra Hospital Emergency Department: what do users think?
Stu C: This hospital needs to be pulled down rebuilt and totally re-staffed the hospital is a joke, the staff are grumpy moody a holes and the security are even worse none comply with SIA regulations and wear badges and to think this is a government funded service.
Gordon Hopwood: The treatment my Wife received from all the Doctors & Nurses indeed all the staff was beyond excellent.
Kanda Samy: Jhn
Cristian: Gone in the afternoon to the hospital's cantine and asked kindly to have a smoothie which I always have in the afternoon to be tell by the staff at the counter that they don't need to do the smoothie and that won't do it...Worst cantine ever could find in a hospital with poor food choice and sometimes rude staff. And this only because they do not have no competition...
Caroline Willoughby: A&E Is brilliant. They are underfunded and we are overpopulated in our local area so A&E can barely cope. simply put the two don't mix. However, the staff work incredibly hard, under immense pressure. I can't thank them enough for what they do - incredible workforce that's undervalued by out government and yet so loved by everyone who needs them A*****
Nicki Wood: What an absolutely dreadful experience. I really hope I never have to come back here again… because I wouldn’t rate my chances!! The staff did not seem to care at all, the wait time was ridiculous.. we got to two am and then got sent home because the Doctors were going home!! This is supposed to be a 24/7 A&E. What a joke! Good luck to anyone who has the misfortune of going here!
Nikki Morris: Taken to the a and e dept with facial drop and paralysis. Paramedics were here within a few minutes to run checks for potential stroke. Was taken to an and e and into side b. Again seen very quickly. Different nurses but all cheerful and upbeat. It turned out to be Bell’s palsy thankfully. Released to get bag full of medicine from pharmacy and on my way home all within 3 hrs. Can’t thank the staff and medics enough for their help.
Jim Bow: Sitting in Accident and emergency with my daughter who fainted in the street and fell over and cut her face. We have been here 9 hours and still not seen a doctor. Another patient has been waiting 15 hours. The great in Britain has truly disappeared!Update 13 hours later we finally get to see a Doctor who gives us a casual sorry for the long wait.
Michael Jones: Queen Alexandra A&E review Dec 2022.My partner is a Cancer patient receiving Chemotherapy which can induce nausua, we telephoned the Oncology dept helpline as my partner had severe nausua with blood in, we were told to attend A&E, ASAP, they would inform A&E of our arrival. We arrived A&E Portsmouth 30 minutes later, this at 9pm after a 10mile drive, duly displayed the "emergency treatment card" supplied to Chemotherapy patients and were shown to a reception side room for isolation.2hrs later a nurse arrived to ask why we were attending A&E, another 15 minutes a different nurse arrived and asked why we thought we had Covid.Again after another 10 minutes, both nurses returned to show us to A&E ward "A" where we were placed in a cold "reception bay" side room with 2 plastic chairs to await an "A&E Doctors attention".To cut a long story short we then spent 7 HRS in that cold side room (minus 4*C outside) where upon the charge nurse became so concerned as to my partners condition and "No Doctor" she telephoned the case A&E doctor, then returned to relate the "Doctors" conversation,"I have far more ill patients than your patient and she will have to wait".A "CANCER" patient receiving Chemotherapy with severe nausua containing blood was not considered ill enough to be treated by a Q&A "doctor" in A&E after waiting 9 HOURS.The disgusted nurses offered my partner her discharge papers and we left walking out past A&E wards and through the A&E waiting room, "No waiting patients or ambulaces" were seen inside or out, this at 6am the next morning. Infact the only people seen were nurses and "doctors" standing in the corridors drinking coffee and talking whilst awaiting the immenent end to their night shift. In our 4 month experience of the Q&A without most of the nurses and their compassion the place would fall apart, this as high percentage of "Doctors" at entry, registrar and consultant level need a refresher course in patient respect, good manners, work ethic, admin and timekeeping.
Bigbot Hoee: Nurse is an absolute cow in a and e hope she gets COVID bit of advice if you don't like your job quit and stop the attitude. I won't put a name up
Victoria L: Service was very quick for my symptoms. (Breathing difficulties) The 1st triage nurse was lovely asking questions and performing swabs, but the 2nd had zero care or bedside manner making me feel like a time waster. She advised me through questions no exam that I probably had a mild chest infection and that it wasn’t asthma. I felt shamed into leaving. (Despite breathing difficulties) so didn’t wait to be seen by the doctor who she advised would be a very long wait. She didn’t seem to care if I stayed or went.A few hours later I got a call to say I had influenza A and no wonder I was feeling so bad!! This is my 2nd poor experience of visiting this A&E both through 111 or a doctor- I’ll go the extra miles in the future if needed to Southampton or Winchester.
Tamara Kirkby: 3 hours later and I'm comforting an unhappy 4 year old who still hasn't been seen. This is so unfair to everyone.
Ramin Houssaini: One of the rubbish Hospitals ever
Gail Lambert: 20/6/2022 My elderly.Dad was taken to hospital, to Resus, on Monday morning but he was very poorly and died later peacefully. Everybody from 111 to the ambulance paramedics, the doctors in Resus, Brian and Rob I think, to the nurses, the health care assistants, those in charge of the X rays and CT scanning, the porters, Jackie the consultant and the team in majors, the lady from pallative care were all marvellous. Reception were helpful too. I was very impressed and very grateful..
Lou Hooper: 111 sent me to QA ED and all the staff were so kind, professional and cheerful, from the man who took my details at the door to the triage nurses and the doctor who treated me. Harry, you diagnosed within minutes what my surgery hadn't managed to diagnose in 6 months. You are an absolute star!
Peter Dale: I went in with a really painful condition and now I'm out having been treated by the most professional and caring group of people you could hope to be looked after by. NHS at its best I reckon.
English Madcow: Detached retina surgery, great, fantastic staff kept me laughing even when I couldn't. Emergency surgery on weekend saved my sight. Eye clinic n D8 are all wonderful, friendly and always at hand to listen. Don't complain you had a long wait etc. If you or a loved one needed urgent surgery you would be grateful and not concerned about others who are left waiting longer. It's on a needs first basis ie most medically in need are pushed to front of list. You don't know what is going on behind the scenes so have respect, gratitude and patience. Ps clinic staff ALWAYS stay until last patient is seen ie if list is running late, often without overtime pay! Respect and manners cost nothing. Think before you speak.
Blue Fox: Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. They treat you with respect and are doing everything to help you. The waiting times are reasonable (if you're coming in with a cold then don't complain you have to wait 5+ hours to be seen). The ED is slowly falling apart, but fortunately we're gonna have a new ED soon
Dorin: I’ve arrive at the emergency department in escrutiating pain and they wanted me to fill in a form and then wait 30 minutes for a call in order to know if I am in the right place. They did not care at all. They left me stay outside on the floor in pain, while they were not busy at all. Taking among each other just to show they weren’t doing anything. That’s 2022 A&E in The UK for you. NHS, you’re welcome for our tax money. Why if Public health needs to be kept more accountable? What if your protocols are doing the people a disservice?
Sandi: My dad tried to attend QA A&E at 2:00 am in agony with glass stuck in his foot that he had been trying to get out for over 24 hours, what prompted him to attend was that the pain had started to spread up his leg. He was TURNED away because he didn’t have an appointment. He wasn’t rude or upset he just asked what he needed to do to get an appointment, they advised him to call 111. He did so and they (111) advised him to return to A&E at 06:30, which he did and he was turned away a SECOND time and advised “we don’t deal with minor injuries here”. My dad would never write this review himself but he told me that the nurse he spoke to was very rude to him and said something along the lines of “oh.. and I’m not looking at it either”. He said he felt that the nurse was furious with him for attending without an appointment, despite being advised to do exactly that. I am absolutely appalled at how he was treated and that he was left in pain and without sleep all night because of the incompetence and frankly disinterest of the staff at QA A&E and 111. Having an appointment only A&E service is regressive and exclusive and surely that is the one place you want people to feel ABLE to go in their time of need. I am a nurse myself and I couldn’t be more disappointed in how somebody spoke to my father as he deserves much much much better care.
london 2: Been with my wife who needed help with mental health. Receptionist asked us to fill the form on the tablet. Then we got message that nurse will call us on mobile phone. You are in emergency department and you are being told that someone call your mobile thoug few nurses at not busy at all and not willing speaking to you. Come back home with nothing, not even advice what to do next. My wife loosing concious start speaking with herself.

Anthony West: Worst experince of my life
Denise Viviers: Enjoy the cricket club these days as hospital now closed
Roger Harvey: Just Fab ,brilliantly organised, signage terrific and staff fantastic.A big thank you to all involved.
Brett Rumfitt: Great place for volunteering
Sandy Atkins: Just had my booster jab. So well organised from directions to parking. Staff were all brilliant Thank you
TransportationOfTheUK: I had a wonderful experience at St James’ Hospital. The staff are very co-operative and organised, I received my COVID-19 vaccination without any complications.
John Fletcher: Well organised and all People very helpful
barry colwell: Hi just to say how organised it was for my booster jab the car parking and everything Else very well done and thank you.
Jumpy K: Just had my second dose of Covid vaccine here. Excellent both times, from beginning to end.
Charlie x Bale: Its for people in a mental crisis it has beautiful grounds
Alvin Wilby: Covid vaccination organisation is exemplary! Despite the huge numbers passing through, everyone was very friendly and made the effort to put you at ease. Thank you all so much!Update after second jab. After 3 months, thought they might have become a bit jaded - but same friendly, efficient experience - can't praise all involved highly enough - thank you!
John Haynes: It was so well organised for our COVID-19 vaccination
Ryan Hobbs: Went to St James for my initial COVID vaccination. It was very well organised and I was well informed throughout the process. There were plenty of people directing and the social distancing arrangements were as expected really good.
howlr747: Amazingly efficient organisation of Covid innoculations! Terrific organisation, super friendly treatment and lovely friendly staff. The best of British organisation.
Mr B: Just had AZ COVID-19 jab at St James. The whole experience went very smoothly. If you're driving, make sure you follow the yellow signs, not your Sat Nav. On arrival, I was directed to a parking area that could be a bit muddy in the rain. There were volunteers every step of the way, making sure I was where I was supposed to be. It's not vital but I suggest taking your NHS number as it makes things easier. After the jab, I was told to sit in the car for 15 mins... just in case. There are plenty of volunteers around should you need assistance. Some suggested takes: good shoes that can deal with mud and an umbrella as you may have to queue outside.Update 28 March: Car park has been gravelled over so no concern about mud. Still lots of very helpful people around. If your visit is for the 2nd jab, don't forget your vaccination card!
Martin Giddey: Formerly a psychiatric hospital, this building is no longer in use.
Colin Gibbs: Outstanding service
Kim Ford: My husband and I have just had our AZ vaccine. Excellent from start to finish. Very well organised. Plenty of helpful and friendly staff to show you were to go and what to expect. Went at 12.30pm Saturday as a walk in, no queues straight in.
rogbarf: I was a Charge Nurse at St James Hospital in the mid 1960s. I worked on the following Wards Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and F2/3 M6 M8 M3 Harry and Ellen Cook wards Brunel Villa. I worked very closely with Dr Rodney Bale as his Clinical Practice Nurse. I believe the Principle Nursing Officer was a Mr Adams.? and Colin Allison? It was a great Hospital super staff. I was the first male nurse to work on a Female Ward F2 with Sister Y Gall? Other Drs I worked with Dr Ian Christy. Dr D Brought Dr Brunning . I would love to hear from anyone that worked at St James. Thanks Roger Barfoot
roshima fair: Little progress within mental health, elderly mother put on 4 different psychiatric drugs ,despite family attending the meetings & pleading against such heavy, damaging treatment for a frail old lady ,already damaged by a previous prescribing of an antipsychotic by them

Portsmouth Emergency Dentist: what do users think?
Paul Cox: I had the pleasure of meeting the team and receiving first class treatment on my way to a 4-week retirement holiday in Spain and Portugal. We’d just arrived in Portsmouth to catch the early morning ferry to Bilbao (the next day) when a niggling tooth became a full-on crisis (certainly for me!). I had first stage root canal treatment done in a flash with minimal discomfort and such a relief. My thanks to this wonderful dental practice. I’m incredibly grateful!
Arturis Kleins: Is this dentist free
SHOMONTANA TV: Wasn't really impressed with the service, felt there was a lack of care from the practicing dentist
James Clay: I cannot recommend this dentist enough. They are extremely professional, the work is of absolute highest quality and the dental practice is absolutely spotless and you can tell that a lot of hard work goes into making the place maintained. But probably the best part about Medika Dental are the owners Nas & Majid who quite frankly are two of the nicest people you could meet. They really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and are so friendly. This really follows through with their staff too. If you need a dentist in Portsmouth look no further.
Alison Clay: Have been very impressed with the dental practice. I was a little nervous at first but Nas really made me feel comfortable. The staff are incredibly friendly and I highly recommend them. Their advise that they give is extremely helpful and you really feel looked after as they genuinely care passionately about customer service.
Gill H: I was a patient for many years but not impressed now. The receptionist had no sympathy when I went there with a raging toothache. All the original staff seem to have left including the hygenist. So glad I and all 10 members of my family are fortunate to have found another practice with staff who actually care. It's a shame the dentists aren't on the reception as they seem very nice.
Lee Walker: I would advise people not to bother ringing the out of hours mobile number they provide on there answering machine as they do not answer,
Judith Holdforth: I have been with this practice since I was 5 years of age (which is a very long time), and after being a patient with Mr. Callaghan till his retirement, so it was with trepidation that I went to my first appointment with Naz. Since then i have also seen Madjid and they have both been kind and understanding. I have particular health problems which they have addressed with professionalism and thoughtfulness. I would also like to mention the very helpful staff from front desk to dental nurses and hygienist.Thankyou
Sigita Duoplyte-Duguid: Went twice. Explained problems and they danced around problem without fixing it. Felt I had been taken for a ride like a bad mechanic.

Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre, St Mary's Portsmouth: what do users think?
David Ormerod: Very impressed with the prompt and professional care I received.
Judith Drury: Thank you from the receptionist to triarge nurse to senior nurse to radiology nurse to the paramedic in the minor injuries clinic, who sorted out my broken wrist on Friday 20th January around lunch time. Your kindness, professionalism, thoughtfulness and speed will never be forgotten. Beware of black ice. Many many thanks. Judy
Dave Clark: Had an op there last week very slick and friendly staff.
Claire Birks: Had an endoscopy here and as an anxious patient I was very much put at ease. The receptionists were friendly, the whole process was super efficient and quick. I was in and out in just over an hour! The nurses and doctors were very knowledgeable and friendly, and helped me relax during the procedure. Would recommend!
John-Roy Singleton: Mixes me with NHS patients. An NHS DR got killed and he was helping me and I got made out to be abusive due to the NHS system. The government need to be questioned by the House of Lords. Other than that when it is just private patients I feel so at peace and I am happy to wait, NHS makes me so angry. 😊
Jane Morgan: The Endoscopy staff were fantastic put me at ease straight away. Dr Patel was so nice and what I thought was going to be a horrible experience wasn't. Looked after all way through.
Mitch C: I originally had an endoscopy done here a couple of years ago but couldn’t finish the procedure. This time, I got an appointment within 5 days of them calling me, and knowing I was extremely anxious and bordering on having a panic attack, the nurses and doctor were absolutely brilliant at putting my mind at ease, explaining everything in a simple yet concise manner, explaining everything they did beforehand, the quality of care here was absolutely brilliant! Once I’d woken up a bit from the sedation the lady looking after me was so very kind, she didn’t rush me at all and she made sure I was safe to leave with my boyfriend taking me home. She held my hand at one point when I was struggling, I don’t remember the procedure too well due to sedation but I remember the warmth and empathy she showed towards me. Thank you so much for all you do.
Graham Biggerstaff: First class service from all involved , massive thank you to Debbie for persevering and keeping in contact with me regarding my appointment times & dates , also huge thanks to Dr Sami Sadek who performed my operation , I found him to be very calming which put me at my ease , thank you to the nurses Bee & Guy who looked after me .All in all thank you everyone.
Helen: I have used Portsmouth Diagnostics Imaging Department (St-Mary’s hospital) a few times. Always found the reception team and a doctor to be professional, helpful, polite and just great, they put you at your ease, and they explain everything that is going on on the screen. Highly recommend
Sergiu Spian: I had a severe back pain for 5 days. My GP gave me some painkillers, but had no effect on my pain. The last night before i went to Saint M. hospital my temperature was 39. I was feeling really bad, exhausted. At the hospital the nurse told me that we have to do an urine test. After that a “doctor” his name is Hassan Twins !!!! Offered a consultation and just from the beginning he was absolutely a very negative person. Arguing with me. I asked him to just give some help. And his answer was : A help ???? What you mean by word help ???I said that pls do not argue with me, just pls help, I really need some help. He said he will never do a urine test, but ok, i’ll do this time for you. He lifted his sorry a..s and did it. About the blood test he said they don’t do in the Saint Marys. He told me to go to QA Hospital, but he assured me that they will send me back home as well.He asked me what medicine i had and I explained that i stoped taking them because i had bad side effects ( nose bleeding, high blood pressure, headache, vomiting ) He said that’s normal !!! In the papers that he gave me for QA, he lied about some things. No respect for human life, No sympathy for human being . Very negative and unpleasant, unprofessional person. At the QA Hospital the staff are amazing. They gave me painkillers that helped me immediately. And the actual attitude its completely different. I think S.M. Hospital have to take actions about this “doctor” and investigate the case. And probably i’m not the only one that suffered because of this person.
faisal iqbal: My 3 year old son have fever and infection we wait to be checked more than 5 hours no one help my child is burning and haven’t eat anything very rude management donot like to inform and very bad management problem is G.P donot give appointments trying since last week end took same time have no option very worried and frustrated
Andrius Antanelis: Horrible waiting time been in pain for a while and been waiting for over two hours, and somehow there keep taking new peoples who just walk in. So unfair. Rude nurses and all staff members just terrible.
Martin Boyden: This is a minor injury unit that deals with minor injuries like pain and cuts it doesn't deal with chest pains, major internal problems and broken arms and legs, if it's serious injury go to Cosham Queen Alexandra Hospital PO6 3LY it's open 24-7
Sarah Baker: Had gastroscopy and colonscopy today. Dr Patel was excellent -keen to understand what had been going in with me. Then clearly explained treatment plan and options. The nursing staff are very caring..it is the hand holding and compassionate hand on the shoulder that make an unpleasant experience tolerable. This was my second gastroscopy and at both visits all staff have been warm, caring and efficient.
Richard Lewis: A big thank you to Mr Sadek and His team for the outstanding way they looked after Me during My hernia surgery.Everyone was so friendly and polite and looked after Me so well.Thank You all of You
DEBORAHBOX Box: Took my mother there today as she got knocked down by a taxi and is in pain with her back . As always absolutely useless all they did was take her blood pressure dud not even give her an examination. My mum is 79 years old and still in pain but what do the Doctors care its not their mother in pain . Going to report them to the medical council fir lack of care .
theh0vis: There is nothing like a sympathetic, caring and concerned nursing professional to consult when you are in chronic pain.Unfortunately the triage nurse at this practice is nothing like a sympathetic, caring and concerned professional.Instead her main focus (it would appear) is to deter those seeking treatment irrespective of condition.
ray evans: Would just like to thank all the nurses in the Colonoscopy department very friendly and doing an awesome job many thanks Ray Evans.
SYMMS JULIAN: Brilliant service, excellent care, wonderful staff and terrific outcome.
john major: c
Sean Durrant: I like the fact you can come here when you want and get seen for a variety of issues. Reception staff always come across as friendly and professional. Doctors and Nurses always helpful and supportive in my experience

Saint Mary's Community Health Campus: what do users think?
Charlotte Brown: Maternity unit and team absolutely incredible, was so well looked after Anelise and Sharon and the rest of the team! They really go above and beyond.
Sarah Henley: The hospital itself I cannot fault, but every single water machine is out of order due to COVID restrictions, and the restaurant would not serve free tap water and instead said we have to buy bottled water. This is illegal and I pointed this out to them but they didn't seem interested in the legal side of it. I'm just glad I had enough change in my bag so my friend could take her medication.
Carla cox: Not too bad nice and clean
Martin Ryan: I had the best fish and freshly cooked chips and curry sauce I can’t wait until next Friday today served by a professional lady. Thanks to the Chef who cooked my meal go there and eat what I and many other customers /staff had, thank you Martin.

X2erNaL: I was born here
Lucille Bate: I was born there in 1963
neil jackson: Great staff
Tammy Gisby: Recently self referred to the MSK Physio Dept at St Mary’, post initial Assessment appointment and subsequent remote telephone appointment I sincerely feel impressed with this service on many fronts, a truly ‘stand out’ service. My appointments were with, Oliver, I found him to be very professional, knowledgeable and thorough in his appraisal of my problem.I was pleasantly shocked for all the right reasons which when feeling pained and generally unwell is very reassuring.A massive thank you to one and all in this team.
Mohammad Usama Imran: Was seen yesterday after I burnt my arm. Didn't have to wait that long, was taken in after about 10 minutes. Very professional and efficient treatment by Connie, was great chatting to her. Thank you

Spire Portsmouth Hospital: what do users think?
Griogair S: Decided to go private as condition I have is quite debilitating and nhs wait times are long. after my initial consultation and ct scan I was told I would have to wait over a month before my next appointment to go over the results of the scan. That is frankly a pathetically long and embarrassing wait time for a private service and I feel personally mislead to think that I would be seen in a quicker fashion. Poor service.
Michael Gent: Just tried to book an appointment and told they can't see me until July. I am paying for private healthcare with AXA and I could do it quicker through the NHS. Spire, your service stinks.
Jen Connor: If I could zero , I would. Treated like an inconvenience from the start. Harper is very dissmissive and extremely judgemental bordering arrogant. Was taken into theatre for an injection into my joint and barely got a chance to dress , was told keep everything on and marched to the theatre where I was rushed through the proceedure and out of the door without any sling , no follow up, no pain relief, not even a cup of tea. Always talked to as if I were unintelligent or taking up time. Eye rolls, abrupt and ignorant communication, huffing, no concern whatsoever. The problem was never resolved but written as such. Its affected mobility long term. Inhumane experience. Wouldnt take my dog.Avoid!!!
Anne taylor: Booked in for a self funded procedure, everything from arrival through surgery and discharge was like clockwork , very attentive staff all paperwork and discharge medication was speedy and explained thoroughly . Taken off one star as the rooms are looking tired.
D M: Nowhere to park, reception staff slow and mired in endless paperwork, doctors running late, admin staff pushing for your credit card even if you’re fully insured. AVOID.
Olivia Davies: Please don’t go here. I had my nose job done here and I came out with a bodged nose wishing I had done more research. My nose looked better before. My experience wasn’t too bad in the hospital but I didn’t feel relaxed and didn’t feel comfortable. Not worth the money.
Adaobi Nwankwo: I wish I could give less than 1 star. Service is horrible, I wouldn’t recommend here atall.Let’s start with booking an appointment that was stressful because we booked an appointment to see a surgeon and we weren’t on the list despite the fact we had already paid for the consultation fee and confirmation of payment sent to me.Then on the surgery day we were told it was ok to come in at 9am, we got there on time and was made to sit at the reception till past 11 o’clock till we could be called up to the ward.I couldn’t go into the ward with my sister, why did I decide to go private and paid cash if I can’t enjoy the luxury of having 1 family around before my surgery. Their reason was that ohhh it’s a busy ward.It would have been better going to NHS that spending this money. All in all stay away it’s not worth spending so much to get this horrible service.
lee disdle: Disgusting service! The only best part was my partnersConsultation! Got sent a quote for my girlfriends surgery payed it in full to be told it was in fact the wrong quote had been given!! would be issued with a new quote thinking it wouldn’t be much different to be then sent a quote which was £2000 dearer!!! Asked for a refund they said 3/5 working days it’s now been 10 working days still no refund!!Wouldn’t recommend a local company!
shabaka kenyatta: We are covered by insurance. you cant get anyone to answer phone calls, they send you spurious bills as they cant get their admin right, cancelled appointments, turned up and the consultant wasn't even aware. I can understand if this was a free service but to pay for it and still have this level of service is a bit ridiculous.
rob tosh: Organisation wise a very poor outfit, probably under resourced.Departments do not seem to communicate. Dread to think how they perform in an emergency.
John Allen: Superb establishment
Chris Gerrard: So friendly, so many helpful staff. Plenty of free parking. Immaculately clean as you would expect. Well equipped private rooms, delicious menus.
William Brett-Atkin: Everyone I’ve spoken to or interacted with has been so kind and professional. Waiting times are always minimal from my experience.
Pamela Andrews (Pamela Jayne): Absolutely first class treatment by Mr Harvey when after trying for 3 weeks to get through to my GP surgery without success. Within the space of a week I had my consultation, MRI scan and diagnosis. You can't ask for more than that. Thank you very much Mr. Harvey
Sophie Laughton: Ok so first this review is based on purely reception staff ... My consultant was fantastic so I have no complaints about her. However reception staff are so rude, I would like to point out there is no sign to state no children are allowed, there is also a child waiting area! Which is not shut off. Ok I'm so angry because I am a mother, who's husband is currently away on deployment, I am unwell and of course at hospital so already anxious. For my follow up review I had to bring my 4 year old, it was short notice appointment and I have no childcare at short notice. He is not at school yet so had no choice, I also did mention on the phone I will get in the car now with my son and be on my way. No mention on telephone that children were not allowed. When I arrived I went to reception, not to be greeted with hello how are you yet "is there someone in your car outside" I replied no? She then said "oh can your child wait outside in the car" .. I was shocked I said no he's 4! She then said " children are not allowed so ideally we should rearrange your appointment" ... I was so angry, am I expected to leave my child outside on a leash then? ... I explained my husband was away so I had to bring him ... She kept on and on and on .. next time don't bring him children are not allowed etc.She was very rude and said to him go and sit down, as if to say you can't walk around as you are some nuisance or disease! How dare you instruct my child what to do.Again I want to make it clear no sign to say children are not allowed .. and child waiting area so you would assume children are allowed!Consultant was great though as I said this is purely on reception.
Simone Parenti: Very disappointed. Had my operation here which went great and I’m glad for that but the service and overall experience was terrible. They told me to come at 6AM that I’d be first but then they reversed the list without telling me so I waited 5 ours after waking up at 3AM coming from London before my operation. For how much you pay I was expecting a more modern room and better food to be honest. Finally, hidden charges are always there. Had to pay £170 for a follow up after my surgery with my own money, no one told me that the follow up to check for healing had to be paid. That’s insane.Go to another hospital.
Debbie Cole: I am very dissatisfied with my whole experienceI went in to my operation and came out with a head injury, ,when I questioned it there was an enquiry but nothing else was done and 6 months afterwards I still have a dent in my head. This happened whilst I was in their careI was also told with the care package I paid for that all follow up appointments were included and that isn’t the caseI would never use The Spire again
Jeremy Hilton: Excellent first class care.Thank you.Very well looked after by Marius & Sam.
Marie Dennis: I am very dissapointed with this hospital and unable to offer any recommendation at all. I was referred by by my GP and saw a consultant reasonably quickly concerning a hip replacement. He was very helpful and suggested an operation. When asked, he said about 3 months waiting list but contact my secretary for further information. During the past 3 months, we attempted to contact her but she was very vague and suggested that we write in for details and lead in times. That was at least a month ago and we have heard nothing. We have now organised the hip operation elsewhere.
luca T.: I don’t recommend this place. My wife was charged £250 for 25 mins without receiving a final answer or having any idea of what her issue was. The consultant referred to someone else.I can understand if the doctor is not able to tell you what your problem is, but why do you bill your patient? That’s not a service we should pay for.If I get solicitors advice I actually pay for an advise, not a referral to someone else.
Laurence Way: Absolutely fantastic, you get an amazing covid screening on the door, great reception and the doctors here are incredible. Well worth it if you want great peace of mind with fantastic service and delivery. The doctor was knowledgable and personal. I really left my appointment happy and please that someone intelligent was able to assess me and give me confidence for my issue. Great great practice.

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, North Harbour Resource Centre: what do users think?
Sue Valentine: Amazing team of calm, efficient and friendly people. Can't fault them! Just ask yourself, "could I do that job?" Just be thankful and grateful that they do!!
Paul G: Brilliant and hard working professionals. Who sadly have to work under unnecessary pressure and stress.
Pa B: Apparently being suicidal is not a life threatening emergency, left person feeling even worse, worthless and more suicidal.depression like any other long term illness is not a choice and they have got to stop discriminating against those with mental health illness.
pbrainsurgeon: it`s been almost 8 hours since i phoned for an ambulance for my wife, who collapsed and had head and hand tremors, still waiting.
Jed Exodus: Terrible. Raised a complaint over a month ago after unprofessional treatment by one of their staff members. Nobody contacted me with an explanation. Called last week to follow up. Forwarded to voicemail where I left details. Despite voicemail saying two days I'm still waiting for a response.

Ann Parker: Thank you to the two paramedics(one was a student) & nurse who took my husband, who had cellulitis, to St Richards, Chichester last Friday. They were very professional and caring, I went in the ambulance with him as we are both in our 70's and were exhausted trying to cope with his recovery at home.

elaine pouliot: Having been suffering with an allergic reaction to something swollen face and burning hot arms legs neck face back and chest I called 111 at 0200 in the morning they sent an amb the crew were Zoe and Rob and I have to congratulate them both for their professionalism empathy and reassurance and making me feel relaxed as I am 59 and never been in an ambulance before and as I see them as life and death I did not class me in that category I want to say a big thank you to both and Zoe for popping head in and checking up on me when she brought in another patient in this day and age when emergency services are stretched they were still smiling thank you.
Jeremy Dunn: After an allergic reaction I was visited at home by Rufus and Rob. Their professionalism was second to none and should be recognised at the highest level. The general public is incredibly lucky to have paramedics such as these standing by to look after us.
Ayelech Arthur-Kifle: On 24 October around 9 pm due to my husband's poor condition I called 999 . I found my husband on chair hinging his head down and drriblling saliva from his mouth and non responsive. After I pulled my husband on the floor in recovery position I called 999 and while I was on the phone talking to the oprerator with in 5 min the medic crew was buzzing the door bell of 17 Lombard Court old Portsmouth po1 2hu.I was relieved to see them and they did an excellent job. Even though my husband was a doctor they made my husband at ease by talking to him and later they called ambulance to take him to QAH where my husband received excellent care as well and later around 3 am he was discharged. I remember one of the medic was called Mercedise and one of the ambulance service staff called James. Please pass our unconditional gratitude to the crew who came to help my husband. Please keep the excellent job you do and remember to bring the young ones to fill the shoes of retired staffs.ThankfullyAyelech
