Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre, St Mary's Portsmouth: what do users think?
David Ormerod: Very impressed with the prompt and professional care I received.
Judith Drury: Thank you from the receptionist to triarge nurse to senior nurse to radiology nurse to the paramedic in the minor injuries clinic, who sorted out my broken wrist on Friday 20th January around lunch time. Your kindness, professionalism, thoughtfulness and speed will never be forgotten. Beware of black ice. Many many thanks. Judy
Dave Clark: Had an op there last week very slick and friendly staff.
Claire Birks: Had an endoscopy here and as an anxious patient I was very much put at ease. The receptionists were friendly, the whole process was super efficient and quick. I was in and out in just over an hour! The nurses and doctors were very knowledgeable and friendly, and helped me relax during the procedure. Would recommend!
John-Roy Singleton: Mixes me with NHS patients. An NHS DR got killed and he was helping me and I got made out to be abusive due to the NHS system. The government need to be questioned by the House of Lords. Other than that when it is just private patients I feel so at peace and I am happy to wait, NHS makes me so angry. 😊
Jane Morgan: The Endoscopy staff were fantastic put me at ease straight away. Dr Patel was so nice and what I thought was going to be a horrible experience wasn't. Looked after all way through.
Mitch C: I originally had an endoscopy done here a couple of years ago but couldn’t finish the procedure. This time, I got an appointment within 5 days of them calling me, and knowing I was extremely anxious and bordering on having a panic attack, the nurses and doctor were absolutely brilliant at putting my mind at ease, explaining everything in a simple yet concise manner, explaining everything they did beforehand, the quality of care here was absolutely brilliant! Once I’d woken up a bit from the sedation the lady looking after me was so very kind, she didn’t rush me at all and she made sure I was safe to leave with my boyfriend taking me home. She held my hand at one point when I was struggling, I don’t remember the procedure too well due to sedation but I remember the warmth and empathy she showed towards me. Thank you so much for all you do.
Graham Biggerstaff: First class service from all involved , massive thank you to Debbie for persevering and keeping in contact with me regarding my appointment times & dates , also huge thanks to Dr Sami Sadek who performed my operation , I found him to be very calming which put me at my ease , thank you to the nurses Bee & Guy who looked after me .All in all thank you everyone.
Helen: I have used Portsmouth Diagnostics Imaging Department (St-Mary’s hospital) a few times. Always found the reception team and a doctor to be professional, helpful, polite and just great, they put you at your ease, and they explain everything that is going on on the screen. Highly recommend
Sergiu Spian: I had a severe back pain for 5 days. My GP gave me some painkillers, but had no effect on my pain. The last night before i went to Saint M. hospital my temperature was 39. I was feeling really bad, exhausted. At the hospital the nurse told me that we have to do an urine test. After that a “doctor” his name is Hassan Twins !!!! Offered a consultation and just from the beginning he was absolutely a very negative person. Arguing with me. I asked him to just give some help. And his answer was : A help ???? What you mean by word help ???I said that pls do not argue with me, just pls help, I really need some help. He said he will never do a urine test, but ok, i’ll do this time for you. He lifted his sorry a..s and did it. About the blood test he said they don’t do in the Saint Marys. He told me to go to QA Hospital, but he assured me that they will send me back home as well.He asked me what medicine i had and I explained that i stoped taking them because i had bad side effects ( nose bleeding, high blood pressure, headache, vomiting ) He said that’s normal !!! In the papers that he gave me for QA, he lied about some things. No respect for human life, No sympathy for human being . Very negative and unpleasant, unprofessional person. At the QA Hospital the staff are amazing. They gave me painkillers that helped me immediately. And the actual attitude its completely different. I think S.M. Hospital have to take actions about this “doctor” and investigate the case. And probably i’m not the only one that suffered because of this person.
faisal iqbal: My 3 year old son have fever and infection we wait to be checked more than 5 hours no one help my child is burning and haven’t eat anything very rude management donot like to inform and very bad management problem is G.P donot give appointments trying since last week end took same time have no option very worried and frustrated
Andrius Antanelis: Horrible waiting time been in pain for a while and been waiting for over two hours, and somehow there keep taking new peoples who just walk in. So unfair. Rude nurses and all staff members just terrible.
Martin Boyden: This is a minor injury unit that deals with minor injuries like pain and cuts it doesn't deal with chest pains, major internal problems and broken arms and legs, if it's serious injury go to Cosham Queen Alexandra Hospital PO6 3LY it's open 24-7
Sarah Baker: Had gastroscopy and colonscopy today. Dr Patel was excellent -keen to understand what had been going in with me. Then clearly explained treatment plan and options. The nursing staff are very caring..it is the hand holding and compassionate hand on the shoulder that make an unpleasant experience tolerable. This was my second gastroscopy and at both visits all staff have been warm, caring and efficient.
Richard Lewis: A big thank you to Mr Sadek and His team for the outstanding way they looked after Me during My hernia surgery.Everyone was so friendly and polite and looked after Me so well.Thank You all of You
DEBORAHBOX Box: Took my mother there today as she got knocked down by a taxi and is in pain with her back . As always absolutely useless all they did was take her blood pressure dud not even give her an examination. My mum is 79 years old and still in pain but what do the Doctors care its not their mother in pain . Going to report them to the medical council fir lack of care .
theh0vis: There is nothing like a sympathetic, caring and concerned nursing professional to consult when you are in chronic pain.Unfortunately the triage nurse at this practice is nothing like a sympathetic, caring and concerned professional.Instead her main focus (it would appear) is to deter those seeking treatment irrespective of condition.
ray evans: Would just like to thank all the nurses in the Colonoscopy department very friendly and doing an awesome job many thanks Ray Evans.
SYMMS JULIAN: Brilliant service, excellent care, wonderful staff and terrific outcome.
john major: c
Sean Durrant: I like the fact you can come here when you want and get seen for a variety of issues. Reception staff always come across as friendly and professional. Doctors and Nurses always helpful and supportive in my experience

North Harbour Medical Group: what do users think?
Simon Bowen: 136 calls and counting trying to get an appointment today - used to be easy now I'm more likely to win the lottery
Barrie Bradshaw: due to a blood test phobia ,i have had my HEART tablets refused and my repeat medicine s, THIS practise know i wont have a blood test, were is my RIGHTS as a person and HUMAN being
John-Roy Singleton: Line busy when I call (short of receptionist)Friendly doctor, playful with the imagination. Easy to use chairs.Scales and blood pressure machine available to use.I think that the doctor surgery is relocating to another place hence why there's no effort. Give it time and can turn the NHS funded health care around. We need to work with the professionalism.Private patients only
Jemma Powell: So so sooo impressed! Called and managed to speak to someone and book him in on the day. Was loosing faith in vets for a while after a bad experience, the receptionist was lovely and welcoming. My dog was comfortable and happy in the waiting area and the vet made him welcome while she checked his ears for a possible infection. He is having tests to insure it is an infection, which I am really happy about as antibiotics seems to given out for any little sign. Really lovely vet practice! Thank you, happy photo of my boy in the reception area!
Cristian Dobre: The program starts at 8:00 am . At 8:15 am all the emergency slots were taken . How many slots are available? 1 or 2 ? And I was calling for my sick child :(The GP should help and take care of their patients not to send them to the walk in centres which are already crowded.
Sue Haynes: Shambles no wonder A& E are so busy. Whish I could go to my Vet.PDSA much more effective and efficient.
CDW: Good luck even getting through to their reception. For reasons beyond me, they don't have a hold system for their phone lines. If they're busy then you can't even get through to wait, you just have to keep calling.Incredibly unfriendly and rude reception staff, and doctors who use Google to diagnose you.
RighteousBrother: I've been very lucky to have always been a ke to get consultations without any problems. Lose points for receptionist though, who really ought to brush up on their interpersonal skills.
CHARLS LEO ANTONY: This surgery is killing patients with their lack of GP appointments, terrible receptionists, and admin. After explaining everything about our sickness, the receptionists will decide our sickness is not critical and tell us that no appointments are available. finally got one telephonic appointment and the Dr. Prithipal chabda was not at all ready to listen and he was very rude, telling that other patients are waiting and disconnected the call in an unprofessional way. NO WONDER WHY PATIENTS ARE NOT GOING TO GP AND INSTEAD GOING STRAIGHT TO A & E.
James Green: Absolutely superb service by GPs, secretary's and phoneline can be a bit busy, but its worth it.
Megan anscomb: If I could rate 0 I would went for being suicidal a few years ago and self harm the visit to Dr made it worse instead of helping went for incurable conditiontold have fibre gel and I will be cured in a month I have a bad reaction to fibre and Dr didn't want to listen horrible sexist Dr (chowdry) I know many who have said the same about this doctor cant make appointments rude staff especially the receptionist wish I never changed to this doctor surgery also had phones hang up on me when I finally get through
Nicola Tomlinson: This is the worst doctors I have ever used and this is all based on one particular receptionist, she is the least helpful and most rude person I have ever spoken to.. I rarely go to the surgery and even if I was really ill I would hold off as long as I could just so I wouldn’t have to speak to that women! This view is expressed by every single person I speak to! How she still has a job after all this years is beyond me! It’s gone massively down hill since Dr Galloway left..
Darron Sidaway: A very poor service. Not able to speak to my doctor or,an other when needed . Have been a patient since first opened poor quality of service very unhappy . Will not using this practice again for anything.
Stella Enfield: Phone lines were engaged for ages and then got through and had to wait through a very long intro message. Finally got through to a person who was unfriendly and made me feel like I was putting her out. I was told my son's number was different from their records and scolded about it so after being put on hold a couple of times while she worked out arranging a doctor to call my son, I said best check my daughter's number. She put me on hold yet again with the phone being put down so hard other people in the room heard it. I was on hold for quite a while, I thought she had gone. Finally back on the call, she took the number and said good bye quite abruptly. So glad I left this doctor as their attitude and competence is why I moved to Cosham Park House (and was quickly diagnosed correctly at last).
alasnm “The Asian Connoisseur”: Practically impossible to get an appointment. I have called over 100 times and every time I do get through it sends me to an automated message that tells me do some random rubbish. No words will describe how infuriating this experience is.Not to mention most of the staff there are unpassionate and rude. The doctors there are fine but the reception is horrible! I once had tonsillitis and it was so bad to the point I couldn't even open my mouth otherwise it would hurt! Yet the receptionist being a smart a*se decides to tell me to speak up in a pi**y attitude as if I committed a crime!I think its time for a reform and replace every single receptionist past the age 40 in there because it seems those people are the most unhappy and rude staff there!
sean collins: I have had the best experience from here and am very grateful to the sectary who exceeded her duties and went above and beyond to help me. you should be very proud of her and hope she leads to set a good example on the reception staff.
Lynn Bryant: With exception yo the wonderful practice manager and the nurses, I am actually appalled at the drs response now . The reception staff would not give an emergency app to my severely asthmatic daughter when was struggling to breathe and now the dr has made my adult daughter who is a teacher cry . You should actually be ashamed .
l3b souf: Reception are rude and bitter
Margaret Hurst: Since joining the practice I have never had any problem getting an appointment with the doctor of my choice, even being offered one on the spot when I have enquired. I have no complaints at all, staff very friendly and helpful
Liz Valette: I've been a patient at this practice for many years and I can't fault it. Approaching the receptionists with a smile and being courteous brings rewards. They all do their best and my GP, Dr N, is lovely.
Tracey Mycroft: Very helpful and always get appointments

Queen Alexandra Hospital: what do users think?
Gurphylock: The Emergency Care Centre team have been amazing today. Thank you to everyone for taking such good care of my partner.Friendly, calm and professional 😇
Chris Law: I had a fall a couple of weeks ago (Fri May 26th) and went to A&E about 6pm with a suspected broken wrist. The Emergency Care Department staff were absolutely wonderful. Despite being very very busy and run off their feet,  everyone who looked after me - from reception to nurses to doctors and x-ray staff - all were absolutely fantastic.  A special shout out goes to nurses Kerry, Angie and Stacey. Although they were coming to the end of a very busy day, you wouldn't have known as each patient was treated in the same kind, caring, and professional way. They were a credit to our wonderful  NHS. Thank you to them and each and every one of their wonderful team.............I’ve now been referred to the Fracture Clinic and I've met some more fantastic staff who also deserve a shout-out.Firstly, there's there's Jan from the Plaster Room who took my my call just as the department was closing one evening but stayed on to listen to my concerns about my back plaster and gave me lots of very much appreciated reassurance which totally alleviated my worries. Then when I went for my first Fracture Clinic appointment, I met Karen in the Plaster Room who was doing a great job dealing with an already very, very heavy workload of patients. I don't know how she did it, but Karen managed to keep her sense of humour and calm approach even though several of the patients were unnecessarily rude to her and her team because they'd had a wait.Karen was ably assisted by a very competent, encouraging and smiley Emma to replace my back plaster with a full cast.A HUGE thank you goes to all of them. As a patient, it's so reassuring to be looked after by such capable, professional and friendly staff.
Alan Morgan: Its a large hospital.
Jessica DeLude: Not great-- no real following of practice rules for cleanliness for nurses, no one person washed their hands when examining me, only two wore gloves, no wipe down of shared equipment before/after my use, a cleaner used the same paper towel and sink water to wash down common areas. When I dislocated my knee I was made to walk to another area of the hospital alone with no support or aid at all, and evidently emergencies after 9pm were deemed not urgent and the lack of care was shocking. When I was brought in via ambulance and couldn't walk, a doctor made me walk to an exam room and questioned why I couldn't, and dismissed my explanation. Pain management equated to 3 ibuprofen under the guise of observation for effect, but no further interactions were made with me regarding it.The CQC lists this hospital as Green, but the things I've seen should place it well lower than that. The attitudes of most staff were pleasant, but this can't be pinned on understaffing of NHS, it's just a lack of care for basic practices of health and safety for patients.
zeenat jearally: Hi someone can help to fine a home in Queen alexandra hill road please...... thanks is my what's app number ok 👌 +23059092146
Paul Ellis: Some signage to certain wards confusing
Dee Alexis: Appalling A AND E DEPARTMENT. No training in mental health atall. A friend attempted suicide a few days ago, major over dose ambulance rushed her to the hostipal. Toxic overdose, she was in 7 hours no blood tests no treatment . Just seen by a doctor that said suicide is silly and told her to go home. Nurse was very rude to her also, she wasn’t checked upon and let to go home. My friend left and tried sucide straight away . You don’t even want to know the outcome now ! Absolutely disgusted the staff that dealt with her should be ashamed and sickened . She shouldn’t of left that hostipal , without seeing a mental health team. You deserve blood on your hands
Tara Bruno: Looked after my baby on nicu for 53 days and have been amazing! Can’t thank them all!
Brad Hughes: Absolutely appalling level of care, completely unorganised, staff levels are worse than ever, staff attitudes are very poor. It's time to get private health care insurance. The NHS has become a joke...
julio Da Silva: Long wait…however amazing people working here!Very surprised how good the staff are here!
Pj B: Breast services clinic staff and consultant (Dr Lorna) made an otherwise stressful experience very tolerable with obvious professionalism and gentle humour. A tough job at times, I am sure, but they were fabulous.
nicholachadwick1: An excellent hospital. Patients seen and treated in a very timely manner… A tricky delivery with my son was handled very well indeed and always felt extremely safe. After a family members surgery we were impressed with the cleanliness of the hospital and the attentiveness of the staff. Also impressed with the prompt and effective treatment. Thank you so much!
Clare Lyons-Baker: Excellent maternity servicesI transferred care from St Richards and found QA and the Havant community midwifery team, absolutely wonderful! Thank you for everything 💙
Leo Dinnage: staff are overworked and doing their best
Anthony Snook: Very good service
nick woods: Well dur how could you like a hospital
Pompey Smith: Excellent facilities but communication between departments is very poor
Lewis Doherty: Staff are so lovely and friendly thanks for all the help
Jessica Ball: Fabulous team that genuinely care. Thank you :)
Marion Cuthbert: Rather not
Vanessa Raynbird: I had an appointment to visit ENT at Queen Alexandra Hospital today and would like to thank them for an extremely efficient and friendly service. My appointment was for 10.20, I was in with the doctor at 10.30, a scan was carried out 5 mins later and all clear results within 5 mins and back in my car by 11.00. Thank you to all involved, you do a magnificent job.

Lake Road Health Centre: what do users think?
catherine batchelor: Very good
Carla cox: I had make doctor out of hours and he made me so uncomfortable wanted a lady doctor, Waste of time really travelling all there for nothing
Puiyee Chan: no reply
nazma begum: So bad I called in to get an appointment but they are always fully booked and the reception lady was not so friendly. You can never get an appointment in that place.
Gary Perryman: Can't belive I have been with these 50 years plus. It's not very often that I need them but 4 weeks ago I had surgery on my eye they put a gas bubble in so of course I had to go sick and the bubble still there and the hospital told me if I need another sick note then go to my doctors which I did last Monday then told to go away come back Wednesday which I did was told it will be done on Friday. Told its with the doctor its now Monday still nothing . When I go down there the places is empty..The Practice is getting worse It's a joke.
Stephen Doody: I was on a course antibiotics from the Q.A Hospital was told to see a Doctor here, to get more when I run out. I was told no you don`tneed them any more, 5 days later infection came back and lost my leg (Below knee amputation) when i tried to get compensation records where lost Don`t trust them even staff in reception think they are Doctors. and they lie
Peter Osa Amenawon: Health care center the govt for the people
Giovanni Sandrono: The Lady Doctor who called me back today ( if is a Doctor at all) around 13.30 is definitely in the wrong profession. Should have been a Veterinary since wasn't interested on listening a patients symptoms. Not impressed at all. Sadly isn't just this practice but is becoming a poor national standard.
Matthew M: Absolutely shocking doctors surgery. I was suicidal. So I went to the doctors surgery for help. The doctor said there was nothing he could do for me. Just try what had worked before even though I had explained to him I already had. Then because I was desperate I pushed fire alarm. Rather than ringing me to check in. The practise manager phoned me and informed me I no longer aloud at the doctor’s surgery. They were kicking me out. So how am I suppose to get medication now! I tried explaining to her the situation she wasn’t interested I explained I was suicidal she ok and hung the phone up. A really bad practise that cannot even get prescription to the chemist on time without you chasing them.
Esme Gibbs: Rude reception. Lovely everyone else.
Billy Davis: No help at all.
Angela Okeke-Ramos: Absolutely the worst experience here. Every time I come 30m to my appointment I'm only seen 30m later and to add onto this not given the right treatment, just told oh keep checking it. Doctors recommended I use DUCK TAPE to treat a finger wart I've had for 1 year. Ridiculous. Impossible to see a skin specialist. Check ups are not existent...nobody bothered to look at the finger wart, it is like they are guessing and giving you random diagnosis so they can go home. Rude members of staff at reception.
John Connolly: Kept getting hung up!, and when i got through its like she was a robot 😠
Lisa Howard: DO NOT JOIN HERE IF U ACTUALLY NEED HELP. AS LONG AS THERE WORK LOAD IS CONVENIENT OTHERWISE THEY DON'T CARE.
Carey: I know times are hard on the NHS, The reception is terrible to get through, but I have a great GP, I am grateful to have such a nice GP
Beatrice p: Best team!
Carol Adams: It is helpful, staff can answer most questions (non medical) and will assist if asked. Wheelchair friendly.
Susan Bridke: I've had a in growing toe nail for weeks now and still not got sorted I was told this surgery is really good but I think not I'm thinking of changing again as my toe is getting worse plus 2 lots of antibiotics I've had and still nothing
theh0vis: All is fine provided that you make an appointment to see a Doctor six weeks before you get ill because (if you leave it until the time you actually become sick) you surely will not be able to get a consultation.
Mr Kobaloi: Only place that does travel vacations willingly bee great through the pandemic reception staff always been helpful
Gavin Moulds: Absolutely Disgusting attitude and disregard for patients beyond belief. I now fully understand why Ambulance and Emergency depts are inappropriately used. Oh....hang on is it cos your surgery are like a chocolate fireguard.

Spire Portsmouth Hospital: what do users think?
Griogair S: Decided to go private as condition I have is quite debilitating and nhs wait times are long. after my initial consultation and ct scan I was told I would have to wait over a month before my next appointment to go over the results of the scan. That is frankly a pathetically long and embarrassing wait time for a private service and I feel personally mislead to think that I would be seen in a quicker fashion. Poor service.
Michael Gent: Just tried to book an appointment and told they can't see me until July. I am paying for private healthcare with AXA and I could do it quicker through the NHS. Spire, your service stinks.
Jen Connor: If I could zero , I would. Treated like an inconvenience from the start. Harper is very dissmissive and extremely judgemental bordering arrogant. Was taken into theatre for an injection into my joint and barely got a chance to dress , was told keep everything on and marched to the theatre where I was rushed through the proceedure and out of the door without any sling , no follow up, no pain relief, not even a cup of tea. Always talked to as if I were unintelligent or taking up time. Eye rolls, abrupt and ignorant communication, huffing, no concern whatsoever. The problem was never resolved but written as such. Its affected mobility long term. Inhumane experience. Wouldnt take my dog.Avoid!!!
Anne taylor: Booked in for a self funded procedure, everything from arrival through surgery and discharge was like clockwork , very attentive staff all paperwork and discharge medication was speedy and explained thoroughly . Taken off one star as the rooms are looking tired.
D M: Nowhere to park, reception staff slow and mired in endless paperwork, doctors running late, admin staff pushing for your credit card even if you’re fully insured. AVOID.
Olivia Davies: Please don’t go here. I had my nose job done here and I came out with a bodged nose wishing I had done more research. My nose looked better before. My experience wasn’t too bad in the hospital but I didn’t feel relaxed and didn’t feel comfortable. Not worth the money.
Adaobi Nwankwo: I wish I could give less than 1 star. Service is horrible, I wouldn’t recommend here atall.Let’s start with booking an appointment that was stressful because we booked an appointment to see a surgeon and we weren’t on the list despite the fact we had already paid for the consultation fee and confirmation of payment sent to me.Then on the surgery day we were told it was ok to come in at 9am, we got there on time and was made to sit at the reception till past 11 o’clock till we could be called up to the ward.I couldn’t go into the ward with my sister, why did I decide to go private and paid cash if I can’t enjoy the luxury of having 1 family around before my surgery. Their reason was that ohhh it’s a busy ward.It would have been better going to NHS that spending this money. All in all stay away it’s not worth spending so much to get this horrible service.
lee disdle: Disgusting service! The only best part was my partnersConsultation! Got sent a quote for my girlfriends surgery payed it in full to be told it was in fact the wrong quote had been given!! would be issued with a new quote thinking it wouldn’t be much different to be then sent a quote which was £2000 dearer!!! Asked for a refund they said 3/5 working days it’s now been 10 working days still no refund!!Wouldn’t recommend a local company!
shabaka kenyatta: We are covered by insurance. you cant get anyone to answer phone calls, they send you spurious bills as they cant get their admin right, cancelled appointments, turned up and the consultant wasn't even aware. I can understand if this was a free service but to pay for it and still have this level of service is a bit ridiculous.
rob tosh: Organisation wise a very poor outfit, probably under resourced.Departments do not seem to communicate. Dread to think how they perform in an emergency.
John Allen: Superb establishment
Chris Gerrard: So friendly, so many helpful staff. Plenty of free parking. Immaculately clean as you would expect. Well equipped private rooms, delicious menus.
William Brett-Atkin: Everyone I’ve spoken to or interacted with has been so kind and professional. Waiting times are always minimal from my experience.
Pamela Andrews (Pamela Jayne): Absolutely first class treatment by Mr Harvey when after trying for 3 weeks to get through to my GP surgery without success. Within the space of a week I had my consultation, MRI scan and diagnosis. You can't ask for more than that. Thank you very much Mr. Harvey
Sophie Laughton: Ok so first this review is based on purely reception staff ... My consultant was fantastic so I have no complaints about her. However reception staff are so rude, I would like to point out there is no sign to state no children are allowed, there is also a child waiting area! Which is not shut off. Ok I'm so angry because I am a mother, who's husband is currently away on deployment, I am unwell and of course at hospital so already anxious. For my follow up review I had to bring my 4 year old, it was short notice appointment and I have no childcare at short notice. He is not at school yet so had no choice, I also did mention on the phone I will get in the car now with my son and be on my way. No mention on telephone that children were not allowed. When I arrived I went to reception, not to be greeted with hello how are you yet "is there someone in your car outside" I replied no? She then said "oh can your child wait outside in the car" .. I was shocked I said no he's 4! She then said " children are not allowed so ideally we should rearrange your appointment" ... I was so angry, am I expected to leave my child outside on a leash then? ... I explained my husband was away so I had to bring him ... She kept on and on and on .. next time don't bring him children are not allowed etc.She was very rude and said to him go and sit down, as if to say you can't walk around as you are some nuisance or disease! How dare you instruct my child what to do.Again I want to make it clear no sign to say children are not allowed .. and child waiting area so you would assume children are allowed!Consultant was great though as I said this is purely on reception.
Simone Parenti: Very disappointed. Had my operation here which went great and I’m glad for that but the service and overall experience was terrible. They told me to come at 6AM that I’d be first but then they reversed the list without telling me so I waited 5 ours after waking up at 3AM coming from London before my operation. For how much you pay I was expecting a more modern room and better food to be honest. Finally, hidden charges are always there. Had to pay £170 for a follow up after my surgery with my own money, no one told me that the follow up to check for healing had to be paid. That’s insane.Go to another hospital.
Debbie Cole: I am very dissatisfied with my whole experienceI went in to my operation and came out with a head injury, ,when I questioned it there was an enquiry but nothing else was done and 6 months afterwards I still have a dent in my head. This happened whilst I was in their careI was also told with the care package I paid for that all follow up appointments were included and that isn’t the caseI would never use The Spire again
Jeremy Hilton: Excellent first class care.Thank you.Very well looked after by Marius & Sam.
Marie Dennis: I am very dissapointed with this hospital and unable to offer any recommendation at all. I was referred by by my GP and saw a consultant reasonably quickly concerning a hip replacement. He was very helpful and suggested an operation. When asked, he said about 3 months waiting list but contact my secretary for further information. During the past 3 months, we attempted to contact her but she was very vague and suggested that we write in for details and lead in times. That was at least a month ago and we have heard nothing. We have now organised the hip operation elsewhere.
luca T.: I don’t recommend this place. My wife was charged £250 for 25 mins without receiving a final answer or having any idea of what her issue was. The consultant referred to someone else.I can understand if the doctor is not able to tell you what your problem is, but why do you bill your patient? That’s not a service we should pay for.If I get solicitors advice I actually pay for an advise, not a referral to someone else.
Laurence Way: Absolutely fantastic, you get an amazing covid screening on the door, great reception and the doctors here are incredible. Well worth it if you want great peace of mind with fantastic service and delivery. The doctor was knowledgable and personal. I really left my appointment happy and please that someone intelligent was able to assess me and give me confidence for my issue. Great great practice.

Anthony West: Worst experince of my life
Denise Viviers: Enjoy the cricket club these days as hospital now closed
Roger Harvey: Just Fab ,brilliantly organised, signage terrific and staff fantastic.A big thank you to all involved.
Brett Rumfitt: Great place for volunteering
Sandy Atkins: Just had my booster jab. So well organised from directions to parking. Staff were all brilliant Thank you
TransportationOfTheUK: I had a wonderful experience at St James’ Hospital. The staff are very co-operative and organised, I received my COVID-19 vaccination without any complications.
John Fletcher: Well organised and all People very helpful
barry colwell: Hi just to say how organised it was for my booster jab the car parking and everything Else very well done and thank you.
Jumpy K: Just had my second dose of Covid vaccine here. Excellent both times, from beginning to end.
Charlie x Bale: Its for people in a mental crisis it has beautiful grounds
Alvin Wilby: Covid vaccination organisation is exemplary! Despite the huge numbers passing through, everyone was very friendly and made the effort to put you at ease. Thank you all so much!Update after second jab. After 3 months, thought they might have become a bit jaded - but same friendly, efficient experience - can't praise all involved highly enough - thank you!
John Haynes: It was so well organised for our COVID-19 vaccination
Ryan Hobbs: Went to St James for my initial COVID vaccination. It was very well organised and I was well informed throughout the process. There were plenty of people directing and the social distancing arrangements were as expected really good.
howlr747: Amazingly efficient organisation of Covid innoculations! Terrific organisation, super friendly treatment and lovely friendly staff. The best of British organisation.
Mr B: Just had AZ COVID-19 jab at St James. The whole experience went very smoothly. If you're driving, make sure you follow the yellow signs, not your Sat Nav. On arrival, I was directed to a parking area that could be a bit muddy in the rain. There were volunteers every step of the way, making sure I was where I was supposed to be. It's not vital but I suggest taking your NHS number as it makes things easier. After the jab, I was told to sit in the car for 15 mins... just in case. There are plenty of volunteers around should you need assistance. Some suggested takes: good shoes that can deal with mud and an umbrella as you may have to queue outside.Update 28 March: Car park has been gravelled over so no concern about mud. Still lots of very helpful people around. If your visit is for the 2nd jab, don't forget your vaccination card!
Martin Giddey: Formerly a psychiatric hospital, this building is no longer in use.
Colin Gibbs: Outstanding service
Kim Ford: My husband and I have just had our AZ vaccine. Excellent from start to finish. Very well organised. Plenty of helpful and friendly staff to show you were to go and what to expect. Went at 12.30pm Saturday as a walk in, no queues straight in.
rogbarf: I was a Charge Nurse at St James Hospital in the mid 1960s. I worked on the following Wards Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and F2/3 M6 M8 M3 Harry and Ellen Cook wards Brunel Villa. I worked very closely with Dr Rodney Bale as his Clinical Practice Nurse. I believe the Principle Nursing Officer was a Mr Adams.? and Colin Allison? It was a great Hospital super staff. I was the first male nurse to work on a Female Ward F2 with Sister Y Gall? Other Drs I worked with Dr Ian Christy. Dr D Brought Dr Brunning . I would love to hear from anyone that worked at St James. Thanks Roger Barfoot
roshima fair: Little progress within mental health, elderly mother put on 4 different psychiatric drugs ,despite family attending the meetings & pleading against such heavy, damaging treatment for a frail old lady ,already damaged by a previous prescribing of an antipsychotic by them

Derby Road Group Practice: what do users think?
Pat Stephenson: Cannot speak more highly of this gp practice that I have recently enrolled with. They were brilliant when my 86 year old MiL was very poorly and recently my husband and myself have required medical treatments which I can only say the carenavs and reception staff have been more than helpful. Perhaps a few other surgeries not too far away should take a leaf from Derby Roads practice.
Ann Mozdzer: It would be better if we werent greeted by empty waiting rooms, and then expected to wait twenty mins to be seen! You cant expect to believe surgeries are at full capacity when 9 out of 10 chairs are empty!
Ann Ann: Absolutely horrendous. I’ve been seeking treatment for about 5 months now regarding skin issues. At this point I can’t eat because I have food intolerance but can’t quite figure what. As of now I have wounds on my palms and feet and boils all over my body. I can’t walk properly or go to work. Anytime I go to the clinic they just take pictures and give me topical steroids(Clobetasol propionate). Whenever I raise an issue about the steroids bleaching me they say it’s not steroids am on but only a moisturiser. I sought treatment with minor skin condition but now it’s worse than it was. They won’t listen when I suggest the probable cause.
Katrina Adeyemi: Hi I brought my little boy to see Dr Moore as he was complaining of stomach pain bare in mind my son has severe autism and is non verbal the GP was very he sent my boy up the hospital but lucky enough it was not serious Dr Moore phoned me the next da to see how my son was and how he got on at the hospital it's not the first time where a doctor has phoned the next day to see how my son was whan an amazing practice and I would recommend them to anyone thank you all so much for the care and support you have shown my family
Rona Isascam: Derby road is great surgery! All the staff are friendly & helpful whenever I call!
Beverley Deacon: No problems at all with this clinic doctors and staff
Donella Ogilvie-Lees: Cannot fault this surgery, have helped everytime I have called. GPs are extremely friendly and reception staff are lovely.
Verity: After a long hassle of getting registered I can say the admin team are very helpful in person. However I have my doubts to go back. I (a weight lifter) was told I was overweight (according to BMI) so my medications would have to change. The medication in question wasn’t even the reason I got the appointment. As we all know, BMI means nothing if you body build, but I still now have body insecurities. Having been told I am overweight, no advice was given on how I can take my weight to a ‘healthier’ number.
sue mcsheaffrey: I can't fault this surgery. I don't often need medical help but after a post op infection they have been amazing. Stitch removal, wound care, swabs, antibiotics. In a time when GP's are getting unfairly blamed for the entire NHS crisis, they deserve a little thanks. So thankyou.
debbie brumpton: So hard to get an appointment.
Shirley Arnold: Was on the phone 2hrs and 15 mins before getting through to the surgery. I did manage to get a doctors call and see a doctor the same evening. The doctor helped and gave me the advice I needed.
Jason T: Appalling!Appalling treatment from GP's since 2010-cheap medication with alot of side effects provided by ticking a box that gives a diagnosis, which is mostly obesity related even if cancer causes obesity(even if tick 10 boxes for something else!).Only giving 1 star because they sometimes give prescription to chemist!GP's don't listen to patients!Don't expect any appointments whenever you ring, yet if in surgery,no phones ringing at that time! One receptionist been there too long is totally obnoxious and should be trained on customer service!Loads of good reviews made by staff that work there,so not 1 star overview!
Jasmine Elliott: This place is so unreliable. I’ve been on the phone for 40+ mins (still on hold as i speak) and I was apparently number 1 in the call queue. GP receptionists are the most undependable people for urgent matters.
Miklos Szonyi: How disgusting it is if I call the surgery 5 minutes before 8am which means the surgery is not even open yet but they saying is you are 15 in the call, and they keep saying sorry all the time !!
Chantelle Durnall: I've called the doctors surgery twice now explaining I've had two car crashes in a week and I'm in agony with my back. Still won't give me an appointment to be seen have only been offered a sick note. At this point I could have internal bleeding and no one would know. 😅
Irene Swan: Wanted to see a doctor. Phoned at 8am . Told to attend at 10.45am. Didn’t see a doctor, practice nurse, who the had to spend time on the phone to doctor to see what medication I could have. I would rather die than go through the present process. Discussing private matters with a receptionist is not for me
Angelo Tan: Terrible with phone calls especially when urgent.
Claire Bear and kiwi: You can never get through and by the time you do no appointments left took me a week to get an appointment . You alway get citt off when phoning that but you back in the queue please sort you phone system out it's ridiculous.
Auditing ByV: The surgery is a joke sits on phone and always gets cut off due to there terrible overloaded telephone system, then when you call back by the time you get through you cannot get through as get sorry your call cannot be taken.Seriously sort your phone lines out and your surgery as a whole or you will be being audited on your terrible service and published all over social media, take note this isn't a threat and will be carried through to raise awareness to the public.
Lynda Barrett: Waited for 90 mins to get thru to book appt then when I got to No 1 in the call queue they shut the surgery but didn’t mention it on the line & left me still hanging on .. disgraceful service
Michelle Hartley: After previous experiences of other surgeries, this is a breath of fresh air.

Portsdown Group Practice: what do users think?
Olga Olga: Literally impossible to book an appointment. Useless online service
Joshua Luke Best: Called to try and book an appointment and was directed to the app. Tried booking an appointment on the app, and even from the time I was told the appointments were refreshed for the next week, there weren't any available. Went there in person and was advised to try econsult on the website, from 6.30 on the next Monday. Went to try at 6.30 the next Monday, none of the links provided any information, and the message at the top said to try again the next day. It seems completely impossible to actually speak to a GP or even do an online consultation!I wouldn't normally leave a negative review, and I appreciate there are lots of budget and staffing issues at the moment. But surely some of these systems can be fixed? I dread to think how people with more serious conditions are coping. Only leaving this here in the hope some good will come of it.
Sebastian Smith: Terrible surgery impossible to get appointments
S Salam: Next to impossible to get a routine appointment. Tried for weeks to call when the appointment line is meant to open only for it to cut off saying they are closed. After trying repeatedly for 20mins finally get into a queue of 30 only to be told there are no appointment left, try e-consult. Tried repeatedly on e-consult, it's either not open on time or the options don't apply. Told to book on the online system at 7pm when new appointments become available...go online at 7pm, no appointments available!Taken around the houses multiple times, given a routine appointment with a pharmacist technician, who booking line assured twice would be able to issue the medication. Had the call... Told can't issue it, you need to routine appointment with a doctor.Had to call 111 three times to get emergency prescription!!! Pointless waste of time, energy and resources just for a 5min call with a doc!Made an email complaint explaining how we've done everything possible to get a routine appointment only to receive a disgraceful reply implying we're trying to somehow shortcut the system.... You need to follow procedure and make a routine appointment. Utter farce! I would rate them 0 of that was an option. I will be filing an official complaint with Ombudsman and strongly advise you go elsewhere.
Charlotte Parker Quaife: Do better
jack4919: Online consultation system is poor. They open at 18:30 until 21:30 (roughly) but will close it if they get too many.. I attempted to do one at 18:34.. 4 minutes after it opened and it already reached compacity. Really poor.
Cath Hall: Unfortunately can't leave a 0 star review. Receptionist decides whether your problem is an emergency or not, if told no, you have to phone at 10 for a routine appointment, phone at 10 and all appointments gone..This is not ok! I understand funding issues etc, but a Receptionist is NOT a doctor! Who are they to decide if your rapid decline in health is an emergency or not?!
John Fitzpatrick: They are the worst surgery i every been too when they dont help you when you need the help too sort your weight out
Stacey Davies: The phone lines open at 10am, you ring dead on 10am to be told 9 times you can't be put through please ring try again. Finally got through after 10th time at 10:06am to be then be 15th in queue when finally i get through and again they have no appointments. This has been happening since last Thursday and I still can't get a appointment. It's getting beyond a joke and I'm not just ringing for the sake of it I'm ringing because I'm genuinely ill and need some help.
Megan Hart: Rude when answer the phone .
Kevin Gilchrist: E consultation is rubbish..6.30 on the dot from link they sent me in a message.can't even get past the home page..rubbish.That was after 2 phone calls trying to book an appointment. This morning.
Hannah Hancock: Impossible to get an appointment. Always say to call back but then can never get through to speak to anyone. Was number 27 in the queue, when I finally got through to someone they told me to ring back on Monday. I’m sure it will be the same thing again on Monday!
Asha Croft: Worst group of Surgeries ever....often rude receptionists and incredibly very hard to get hold of any doctors or appointments !! It's far outstretched and overwhelmed but their management is very poor very poor. I wish i never had to change my surgery after relocating....I must say though that the nurses are very proffessional and a handful of doctors once you manage to get through to them past the "gate keepers"....the call handlers!!!
Pawan Bhatt: Waited 45 minutes on the phone only to be told all appointments full for the day...!! THEY WOULDN'T TAKE YOUR DETAILS AND AUTOMATICALLY PUT ON WAITING LIST FOR FOLLOWING DAY BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE TOO SENSIBLE!!!Hopeless surgery...
Kevin Stray: Been told by 2 doctors from 2 different walk in centre plus 111 to make a urgent doctors appointment after 4 hang ups finally got through only to be told sorry no appointment available.
India Harwood: I have had a great experience at the surgery. Although they are in extreme high demand, the staff are helpful and patient. I would recommend Kingston Crescent surgery as they are brilliant.
Asya Bulevarova: Zero star option not available and maybe minus five stars. More likely to meet Santa Claus than a GP doctor. Rude receptionists. In a word, uselessStay clear!
Effy Evans: I’m still waiting on an appointment for blood tests - 6 months later. Let’s hope there’s nothing wrong with me!
Rachel Sadler: I have just been waiting in a queue for 28 minutes and then once I was second in line, my call was ended. The Airmid UK app does not seem to refresh anymore and I cannot see appointments to book. I have logged into the app ready for 7pm and 7:30pm in case the time has maybe changed. (If anyone can shed any light on the times to use the app, I would be grateful)How are we supposed to get hold of you Portsdown Group Practice? We cannot stress enough that not being able to contact a doctor is one of the most stressful and helpless feelings. Please revise this service in any way that you can to improve our experience and that of the the staff, who I am sure get enough complaints once people do actually get through.
Roxie Cooper: Unable to get through without being constantly engaged. When you do get through they seem to make out your lying about your symptoms and clearly do not understand what constitutes an emergency. Mel was rude with no empathy whatsoever and simply said because I'm not suicidal it's not an emergency. Awful Reception service!
Johnny Bravo: There is no option to give 0 stars but that is exactly what the surgery deserves. Receptionist very rude and unhelpful. I thought people working at the surgery are supposed to help patients. It is impossible to see a doctor and the so called E- Consult Form is utter disgrace because it is not working. People that come to the surgery have some kind of health problems, they don’t just go there to have a chat. From what I see, most of the reviews are negative. 👎👎👎👎👎
