Jill Dacombe: Great place for young children. Big play barn if the weather changes. Lots of Easter themed activities, very good value for money. We'll worth a visit.

Elodie Maréchal: Great farm with café and kids playground

MrJsquires86: Good venue and great place to spend an afternoon with the kids. Walking the gardens, doing the maze or feeding the animals. Across the road is a nive place for a walk, picnic or fishing. Only gripe was that we were not told that car parking was free today and ended up paying. Will return and do recommend.

Dean Hortin: Fond memories here as a kid

Stefano Erriu: and have fun with the kids. There are also some playground for kidsThe farm is next to the park and you can have lunch there. In the park there us a beautiful pond with different type of birds. Nice place for a walk after the farm day.Car park near the park closes at 4.30.

Nick Garland: Excellent, nice place , children love it, play for hours. Animals all very interesting

Butser Ancient Farm: what do users think?

Shin shin: Stepping back in time, marvelling at the ingenuity of our ancestors . The place is lovelyAnd the houses were impressive. Our children got stuck into the activities and volunteers were sharing their passion ! Special thanks to the Roman guide and wool spinning H. Thank you Butser. We can’t wait to be back.

M. Comelli: We had a lovely day.

Sophie Lovejoy: Fantastic venue for inclusion. Mum has a visual impairment, and everyone there took the time to chat with her, and find things for her explore through touch and smell. We heard about medicines, dying and weaving. Top marks in particular to Matilda, who couldn't have been more welcoming.Visited on Public holiday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

The staff were so friendly and helpful, the demonstrations fascinating, fun and educational and altogether I had an amazing visit, researching for my latest book. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff and volunteers who make this place possible. A brilliant day out.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …

Rachel Bradbury: A small but beautifully located educational place for kids and adults. Dog allowed. The volunteers did brilliant craft activities with my 5 and 12 year old and really spent time to make them feel special. There are different houses constructed using traditional methods that representing different times and the way people lived, neolithic, Roman, Saxon etc..There were a few sheep but I believe they also have pigs and goats at different times of the year. There are lots of events during the year like Beltane and star gazing but they sell out very quickly!

Samantha Faulkner (SeaSick Sam): It’s a good bit of history which is nice

Mike Parker: Fascinating step back into history. Well worth a visit, helpful, friendly informative people and very educational.

Suzy Kew-Moss: A truly wonderful place, history really comes to life in the environment they've created - very much a 'living and working museum'. It feels very real and not a manufactured or glossy look at the past that some other places seem to adopt - I loved that there were fires going in most of the houses so it felt welcoming to sit round the smokey fire and soak up the atmosphere. The friendly staff really make the place, it feels like a community - from storytellers at the fire to treewrights making beams, gardeners laying wool membranes to woodsmen building herb beds - all getting on with their work while chatting easily to visitors sharing their wealth of historical knowledge in a really informal way - with kids and adults alike. Great that the kids activities veer away from being commercialised and are instead about teaching the old skills of making cordage and spinning wool. One of my childred has a complex support needs - he loves to get involved in meaningful activities and both times we've visited the staff were truly exceptional at making him feel welcome - he helped them load wheelbarrows of logs to go to the bonfire pile, with feeding the animals and collecting brambles. So easy to spend time here - whatever the weather - a very special place for us. Only small negative is the shop could be much more interestingly stocked to reflect the place and the food offering better, wider, healthier - but we're happy to bring a picnic so no issue really.

The Old Dairy Farm: what do users think?

Julie Smith: Emsworth and Bosham are well worth a visit.Rooms: Spotless rooms. Kettle and hot drinks provided.Lovely shower room with shower gel etc provided.Noteworthy details: Debbie is a fantastic host

Matt B: I stayed here in the main B&B a while back on a few business trips. The hosts were lovely, the breakfasts where delicious and plentiful, and the rooms were spotless and very comfy. I would highly recommend here and indeed my family have stayed since and agree.

Philip J: Fantastic place to stay. I have never stayed in a B&B that is as modern and exceptionally clean as this. My room was large and bright, very comfortable bed and great bathroom. Such great attention to details such as an ironing board and iron, cotton buds in the bathroom, coffee, tea and biscuits in the room which all make a huge difference. The hosts are lovely, contacted me about the simple check in process and asked me what time I would prefer breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, I went for a full English but there was a good range of choices, I would definitely recommend the poached eggs. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Thank you and I look forward to staying again if I am working in the area this autumn. 5 stars!

Katherine Mamaril: . She found The Old Dairy Farm and we decided to just confirm the booking and go.We went to the beach Saturday afternoon and arrived at The Old Dairy Farm just after 5pm. We were greeted, welcomed and shown straight to our B&B room. The decor is incredible, very modern but classic. Our rooms were so clean and Debbie had left us a note welcoming us accompanied by homemade chocolate brownies! We had complimentary water, glasses, tea, coffee and fresh milk in the breakfast room if required. Everything had been thought of and it makes such a difference. We asked to have breakfast at 9am and were not disappointed - food arrived quickly

East Afton Farmhouse: what do users think?

Sandra Meek: If you are ever in any doubt about where to have your wedding on the Isle of Wight, this is the place. I cannot fault a single moment of the planning, communication and patience, nothing was too much trouble. Our daughter had the most amazing day, the venue had a beautiful, Mel took all the worries away, being at least 3 steps ahead at all times!! Truly fabulous.

Amy Walker: . The Farmhouse was decorated for Christmas too which just added to the magic ✨This venue is adaptable to weddings of different styles, sizes, and budgets. We loved having the entire place to ourselves from Thursday to Monday. A single wedding day flies by so quickly, so stretching it over a weekend was perfect. Plenty of time to set up and pack down and spend time with our guests. There are also fantastic activities available at Tapnell Farm, their sister company, located a 2 minute drive down the road. All of the staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful and an absolute credit to the venue. Special shout-outs to Jack and Vania who were amazing on the day ☺️Chloe and Mel, the dynamic duo, coordinated everything. Chloe was happy to respond to my many emails in the months leading up to the wedding, and was super efficient with it too! She made sure every single question was answered clearly. Mel was by our side over the course of the wedding weekend, and nothing was too much trouble. She had everything under calm control and the day felt relaxed and smooth. These two work so well together, and are expert at what they do. Even as a chronic worrier I felt 100% confident that they had everything in hand. They are both so friendly and fun to work with too!Thank you for hosting the perfect day for us ♥️

S Q: Amazing house and grounds, we absolutely loved our stay here. Handy location, with Tapnell Farm, Freshwater Bay and a Tesco only a few minutes drive.

Duncan Higgs: Lovely place for a Wedding.A very helpful team to work with.

Odelll: Lovely venue, perfect for wedding after parties. Loses a point for charging £2 for a 1/2 pint of coke poured from a £1.99 bottle.

Echo: Excellent wedding venue perfect staff couldn't have asked for more Chloe the wedding planner went above and beyond for us and Mel the wedding coordinator was brilliant beyond measure anticipated any and all needs before they were actually needed the beautiful venue with the excellence of the staff is second to none would highly recommend

Katie Palmer: . Our caterers said the kitchen is the best they’ve ever cooked from. The middle barn is the perfect breakout room for those who want to sit and chat away from the music, while the outside decking looked so atmospheric under the fairy lights and was full of gentle chatter all night. We also had the option to have a fire pit, which would be amazing on cooler evenings… But we were very lucky with the weather so didn't need it!The farmhouse itself is the best place to gather your nearest and dearest in the days surrounding a wedding. With several large living spaces you can be all together or take yourself off whenever you like. Every room has a bathroom, so no panic on the morning of your wedding! My only regret is not using the amazing cinema room, which I’m already plotting a return holiday for…Of course, Freshwater Bay is just the loveliest place. We book-ended our wedding with pizza on the beach from Wightwood Pizza on the Friday night, then a walk up Tennyson Down followed by Burgers at The Cow on the Sunday. Being able to invite everyone to these additional activities made it a whole wedding weekend, not just a day! Absolutely amazing.Overall, I could not recommend it more. Having got quite a few quotes from other venues in and around London, the price doesn’t even compare. Great value in our opinion, which made it possible for us to have the special day we dreamed off.Thank you a million times, EA team! 😁

Jack Fisher: Was there for a wedding last weekend and it was absolutely stunning location and a wonderful place to get marrjed

elizabeth varghese: I couldn't find East Afton Piglets in Google maps. It's close to Tapnell farmhouse. We had stayed for one night at Piglets at Afton farmhouse. I am very happy and impressed with the property. We were the only people in Piglets farm. But it's really cute and nice quiet place in middle of the farm. They have pretty big bathroom plus toilet, each piglet has separate toilets. Nice ambience especially at sunset and night you can see amazing sky with sparkling stars. I am really happy with the stay would definitely recommend this place if looking for unique and different stay , something different from the usual hotels.

S s: Awesome venue and your staff are a absolute credit. So friendly and helpful worked thier socks off all day and never looked fed up.

George Jones: Stunning venue and very well run. The staff always willing to help!

Peter Huskinson: Attended a wedding here recently, and I was super impressed. Perfect location, super attentive staff. It's absolutely brilliant. It's just a shame that the ferry crossing to and from the mainland is so very expensive.

Augusta Sneddon: We had our wedding here and we can hand on heart say it was the best wedding decision we made.Chloe, Mel and the team were brilliant with all the details and planning and although we booked the dry hire option they were only to happy to give us advice work out timelines and give us recommendations of suppliers and gave us lots of ideas and useful planning tools for timelines etc.Set up - they were accommodating and helpful and the house for us to stay in was to die for. We wished we could have moved in. The house was very well equipped and all the rooms and facilities were really high spec and well maintained. The cinema is perfect for keeping children entertained. We had it over New Year and it was also beautifully decorated. We would definitely come to stay again for a group holiday. On the Day we had Mel and a team running the show and they were fantastic. Mel in particular anticipated all our needs down to making sure our dog was comfy behind the bar and checking in on all the details. She really made the day so easy as we just didn't have to think about anything. The bar staff and serving team were wonderful, they never looked tired or like they were flagging and were just positive, happy to be a work and really quick and speedy getting everyone served.Huge thanks to everyone we had the best time and it wouldn't have all gone to plan without the help of you all.

Portsmouth Marriott Hotel: what do users think?

Robyn Offord: Absolutely 5 star! We mentioned to the hotel and restaurant that we were staying for our daughter’s birthday treat and they went absolutely above and beyond in every way! A birthday card and balloons with chocolates and a sparkling apple juice in her room to a personalisedDessert for her birthday dinner with extra balloons. No ask was too big, the staff were super helpful and friendly! 100% a Mariott convert and will be staying with them from now on! Great team and great place! Thank you for everything x

David Napier: Always find Marriott hotels underwhelming.

Sue Bailey: Having stayed in the hotel for the night. I found the employees extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. Having been in the cleaning industry myself for over 20 years, I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the whole hotel. I spoke to Karen in housekeeping and I was impressed with the work and she left the room immaculate. I can’t praise housekeeping enough for the job they do.The food is expensive but worth it. Great place to stayRooms: The room was very clean and tidy. It was quietFood & drinks: Food is expensive but worth the price

Cia: Has always been a good choice when i am in Portsmouth. Friendly Service, good breakfast with good Café, large rooms with possibility for tea and Coffee, small fridge in the room as well, comfortable mattress, very clean. The gym is huge and provides everything that is needed. The Restaurant is also good. You further have the possibility to go to Tesco supermarket just around the corner.I reduce it to 4 **** because i am missing Skyr at breakfast, it is recommended to take Filter coffee into the room, not from the maschine anymore and they had also a good Wellness area with swimmingpool and Sauna a few years ago which is unfortunately closed now.
