The Tournerbury Woods Estate: what do users think?
Dave Farmer: Visited here today for a wedding reception. Grounds are beautiful and overall venue is excellent. Friendly staff and all required amenities. Well lit car park after dark.
Rebecca Pemberton: Attended a wedding here recently. The venue was beautiful, lots of greenery and great for wildlife on the outskirts by the marina. We were stranded as our taxis failed to turn up, but thankfully Chris and Ella went the extra mile and came to our rescue to drive 10 of us back to our house on the island.Thank you so much 🙏🏼
Chloe Caldwell - Chloe Caldwell Photography: Chloe Caldwell Photography - As a Hampshire-based wedding photographer, I love capturing celebrations at the Tournerbury Woods Estate ! The outdoor ceremony space under the statement dome is a beautiful setting to exchange vows. Adorn the aisle with fitting florals and it feels like you're in a meadow! The seaside and woodland surroundings at Tournerbury are beautiful and make for beautiful photo spots. I can't wait to return soon. - Chloe Caldwell Photography
Mark Ponsford: What a sham(e)…This venue is wonderful, we had an amazing wedding…BUT…No thanks to Chris or Lucy who, although courteous were purely interested in our money, not our wellbeing for our special day!!!No transparency in charges, everything was extra and extortionate; Chris strongly implied many things were included in his quote - they took advantage of a “captive audience”!!!We refused to pay nearly £200 for disposal of half a dozen bin bags of rubbish, let alone over £100 for the use of an on-site fridge for the day!!!Also as we later discovered, they didn’t even have planning permission to hold such events?!Dispute being sadly mislead, thanks to friends and family we had the most incredible day!
Mathilda Brown: We had a bad experience with this venue from start to finish. It resulted in a court case to get our money back after covid. We have heard several horror stories from other couples. Beware of all the additional costs on top of the venue rental fee.
Elle Rowe: We cannot recommend Tournerbury highly enough! The fact that we could tailor our wedding to pick and choose the suppliers we wanted really appealed to us rather than having a package booking. Chris & Lucy were so helpful with the planning leading up to the wedding, answering any questions we had, as well as communicating the T&Cs up front. Lucy's attention to detail was perfect on the day, helping everything run smoothly without us having to worry about anything, she really added a personal touch and was very supportive of some sensitive situations. Ella was a great help in the evening to put all our things together ready for us to collect the next day. The day itself was magical, being able to walk around the beautiful grounds for photos and utilise all the space that was exclusively ours for the day was amazing. We knew we wanted a relaxed wedding atmosphere and that’s exactly what Tournerbury delivered, in a wonderful setting. So many of our guests have told us what a great time they had because it was fun! We are so grateful to the staff at Tournerbury for making our dream day a reality.Mr & Mrs Rowe - September 2022
Amy Minshull: From the first time we viewed Tournerbury we knew it was special, and we ended up having the most amazing wedding reception there! The setting is absolutely stunning with the mix of forest, lawn and sea, and feels secluded and private. It is very much a ‘blank slate’ venue, and we were a little worried at times about how the marquee would look with our decorations, but it looked beautiful on the day with minimal effort! Chris and Lucy were fantastic at guiding us through the whole process – their expertise and support were such a help, particularly on the day itself. If you are looking for a naturally beautiful and totally unique wedding venue, we highly recommend Tournerbury. Mr and Mrs Mitchell, June 2022.
Hannah Alden: Had our wedding their last month and was really disappointed with how the venue was run. We stayed in the cottage turn up in the morning and it was dirty and no toilet roll.Due to the hot weather they had be using sprinklers but dint check the area. When walking down the Isle. we had to walk in a massive puddle. This did get pointed out but nothing was done. Also had some of our suppliers say how they found Lucy rude. This was upsetting to hear. We also got left with no one from the venue on site in the evening due to Lucy going home ill. A family members just got given the number to ring if we needed them. For how much you pay for the venue we were disappointed we how things went. And I won't be recommending them. The venue itself is stunning and our guest were blowed way with the place. Just wish we dint have family and closes friends coved up issues that was happening.
June Pask: Great wedding venue
Helbrainy: Beautiful venue, so stunning and magical. Just the best place to get married 💓💓💓
Derrick Ryan: Best place I was ever at a wedding ,location was beautiful. Glad I travelled from Ireland to attend a wedding
Deborah Hutchinson: Absolutely beautiful
Vera Sugar: What a wonderful venue for a wedding! Surrounded by gorgeous woodland and sea, full of wildlife and in April, when we were lucky enough to have our wedding, absolutely covered in bluebells! The team is amazing to work with, super friendly and think of everything - huge thank you for making our special day perfect!
hayley North: Our wedding was booked in the midst of covid in 2020 so was unfortunately cancelled due to covid.I was offered an alternative date but only a weekday in April. My original wedding was booked in august in the 6 week holiday so to me this was an unreasonable alternative but I wasn’t given any other option so I accepted. My rescheduled wedding was fast approaching and yet again we went into lockdown so again I was unable to get married. I was then refused an alternative date and also refused a refund and ghosted by everyone! All my emails, phone calls and messages were ignored. Luckily I had wedding insurance that have reluctantly payed out but the last 2 years have been a nightmare fighting for money that belonged to me.
JxePearce: An absolutely phenomenal Venue that we were lucky enough to use for our wedding last august.Chris, Lucy and the rest of the staff were so helpful from our first meeting to the day itself and really took a lot of the stress away, especially planning a wedding through Covid. All of our guests loved the venue and its location, especially as they had space to get out of the way and not be crowded with Covid still being a big thing. With Tournerbury being a venue instead of a wedding package supplier meant that we could really have a completely personalised wedding with our own pick of suppliers. The grounds of the venue gave us some incredible pictures and some memories we will never forget, so Thank you!I would recommend this venue for anyone wanting to plan a really personalised wedding in a really scenic area of the south coast.
Dawn Cowley: Has to be seen. Gorgeous venue and facilities.
Carl Hutchins: Beautiful location available for exclusive hire for all type of events. Family run and lovely people happy to help with all requests and needs.Camping available if hire the venue. Not the easiest in manual wheelchairs but powered chairs should have no problems getting around the venue.Nice and secluded for the perfect do .
Zoe Lister: I can't recommend this venue enough. We had an absolutely incredible day in beautiful surroundings, supported by very kind and attentive staff. The venue itself is huge - the marquee will house 250 guests, but you can also make use of a large veranda behind the marquee and the lawns and nearby open spaces. Perfect for a summer wedding!Lucy Barwick coordinated our wedding leading up to the day and on the day itself. She was always so knowledgeable and calm, she made it really easy for us to understand all that we needed to do. The few minor hitches that happened on the day she addressed promptly and I didn't feel stressed at all!Definitely go along to view and meet the team and have a look around. You won't regret it!
Kevin Wright: Wow such beautiful venue, its stunning.
Lianne Cowley: Absolutely beautiful estate. The groundskeeper/owner Chris is a lovely informative man and made us feel welcome and answered all questions we had about this venue. Wheelchair accessible.
Caroline Ghammache: Venue was amazing for a wedding. Setting just stunning however I do think that £24 for a camp site is steep when they're are no toilet facilities open for the morning and you have to be off site by 10 am. Little guidance when arriving as to where you can park. Somewhat or a free for all. I wouldn't recommend as a camping venue but for a wedding or an event, beautiful (if you have the weather!)

Number Four Boutique Hotel: what do users think?
Norrie Macdonald: Fabulous friendly place - rooms were spotless and modern - ideal for what we were looking for....
Wendy Peters: Clean and friendly good size roomsv
Harry Harry: gluten free breakfast 😊
Averil Stevenson: Lovely hotel
Jacqueline Kinnersley: Had a lovely stay here with my sister. Compact but beautifully laid out. Staff were wonderful and food was excellent too
Fabian Prince: We loved it. Perfect for a couples weekend break. Each room has its own quaint themes. Bed was comfy. Our room had the smallest bathroom in history, however shower was hot and strong!Staff were friendly and helpful.
James Hoad: Gorgeous hotel, just a short walk from the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate, and the breakfast was great!
janette sked: Was amazing when stayed before daughter got married service was very good and room was warm, comfortable clean and tidy
Kelly Peddel: Lovely hotel, our room was nicely decorated and comfy bed. Only thing that lets this hotel down is parking (Only space for 3 cars) there is on street parking but spaces were all full when we arrived and also once we came back in evening. Good location within walking distance of local attractions (if you can get parked).
Liz Hebden: We stayed here for one night before heading off very early next morning for the Ferry.Breakfast is served from 8am so we missed out on a cooked breakfast. We were advised that there would be no one there before 8am to do breakfasts. We were not given any alternative so I asked if we could have a few things left out for breakfast at 6.30 am. The gentleman on reception arranged this for us but I felt that if I had not asked it wouldn't have been offered. We had cereal but no spoons so used the tea spoons in our room. There were no dressing gowns or slippers in our king size room. There is no one on reception from midnight but there was a notice saying you could call 0 on your room phone if assistance needed. There was rubbish in the bedside cabinet. On the plus side the room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable and shower good. There is parking in front of this building for 4 cars and street parking at no charge.I would stay here again but for longer than 1 night then we could enjoy Portsmouth and get to know it better.
Immanuel Vinke: Ridiculous price vs room. My father had the smallest room I have ever seen. You could barely walk next to the bed and still the price was high. Plus after checkout, the bill was wrong and they insisted on the price being communicated like this beforehand. Not correct. After some arguments it was settled
Julie Mallam: Very quirky& lovely place. Staff excellent. Facilities very good. Good location. A really nice relaxing stay.

En om dan je schoenen uit te doen is het veel te warm voor.Misschien een tip om misschien hoesje voor om de schoenen.

The bathroom was also very spacious with a walk in shower and the most stunning bath.Walkability: A short walk to the floating bridge to take you to West CowsFood & drinks: The drawing room was stunning, especially as the sun shone through the windows. Beautifully decorated with super comfy armchairs and sofas.Noteworthy details: It is clear the friendly staff really want you to have a relaxing stay at Albert Cottage and I really felt at home is the bar, restaurant, dining room and the lounge.
Neil McDonald: We attended the Festive Xmas dinner on the 18th December. Due to the General Managers wedding the day before, running late into the night and not enough staff to prepare for the lunch it was held in freezing conditions in an unheated marquee. There was nothing Festive about it at all.One member of staff stated that it was disgusting the way guests had been treated that day. However the disgusting part is that the owner has been emailed twice and general enquiries three times. In 5 weeks I have only had one reply to say that the first email sent to GE had been forwarded to the owner and she will reply in due course.I appreciate things can go wrong, but at that point you put your hands up and say sorry. If that had happened I may still be a customer but not now.

No Man's Fort: what do users think?
Matt Powell: Stayed here with my beautiful wife for her 30th birthday. What an experience. Our room was huuuuge!Bath right next to the bed.24hrs on there wasn’t enough!
ria mitchell: This place has the worst customer service IHave ever seen. I have asked the manger to call me back 3 times and sent numerous messages and emails. I have not had one single reply ! This company is a complete joke. They gave my friend tickets for a competition. She couldn’t makeIt so asked if she could change the tickets into my name. The fort agreed and even sent me confirmation of the new ticket names. Then last night they decided to go back on there word. We have proof they agreed but yet they have suddenly decided the prize can not be transferred. It’s so wrong as me and my partner were really excited and even booked a baby sitter and dog sitter for the two nights. It’s wrong of them to go against there word !
Jacques Blom: Unique and friendly
Peter Curnow-Ford: Will go back next year - service perfect, location beyond perfect
Jane Short: Only ok but interesting to visit.
Freda Shipsey: They never get back to you when they say they will .tried several times to call them and left messages and also emails still no response .bought my son this experience on the price is wight.Obviously they don't need the custom .thinking of asking for my money back
Duncan Allery: , good afternoon dinner was great
terry bunting: Relax and enjoy, fun place to explore.
Joachim Hornig: Nobody ever calls or emails back. Had this on two occasions now. Total waste of time to leave a message or send an email. They promise to get back shortly ( automated message) but never do. Clearly they don’t need anyone’s custom....
