Yoga Loft: what do users think?
naomi jones: The first time I attended a yoga class at the yoga loft I was welcomed by the instructor (Jo) and all of the other participants were very welcoming and chatty too.I found Jos class to be very engaging and her tone of voice is soothing. Her practice and class was structured really well and the atmosphere is just perfect. I can see how much efforts are made in to each little detail of the studio and its surroundings. I can see how much time and effort goes into this studio. The second time I visited for a handstand class with Mike. He is very friendly and put me at ease straight away. He gave me lots of helpful tips to get to where I want to be and built the class around my needs. Again time and effort is the main focus I can see from attending the yoga loft.I can’t wait to return for my classes from both Jo & MikeThank you very much
Ashley James: Beautiful studio, great atmosphere and awesome teachers!
Claire Bear: Had a super reiki massage by Alix Temple. She was so welcoming and really thought about what I needed. It was a deeply restorative, relaxing and peaceful experience. Thank you so much!
Mark D: I gave the sound yoga a try yesterday was not sure what to expect. It was a almost mystical experience, I could literally feel the sound of the bowls moving though my body especially my head it felt as if the tone,s where massage my head.I woke feeling full of positive feelings. I would recommend to anyone who is in a low mood.
David Rees: I had a series of 3 wonderful sound therapy sessions with Jo.The first brought a deep sense of relaxation as my body was allowed to rest, so much so that I actually fell asleep! During the second some unresolved emotions and memories were given safe space to surface. The third closed the loop bringing resolution, a deeper connection and healing to my body.I found Jo to be someone I could trust and talk openly to afterwards which enabled me to relax and allow the process to unfold and for sound to do its’ magic!Thank you so much Jo.I highly recommend having sound therapy sessions with Jo and The Yoga Loft, it is a really beautiful space.
Rakhi Thakur: I have been going to yogaloft 6 months now with jo and she is amazing .
Sabrina Candido: In just 3 sound therapy sessions with Jo's my sleeping pattern went back to normal! I was really struggling to fall asleep, and not wake up in the middle of the night, and this was so helpful. The studio is beautiful and has a great vibe as well as Jo. At the end of each session I felt relaxed and painless. Definitely a go for it!
Klara Łucznik: I love this studio - a warm, welcoming space not crowded. Great teaching and atmosphere. Welcoming community. Experienced teachers. And a unique gem, Jo's Sound Therapy sessions - very gentle but profound work for tuning the body and nervous system, allowing deep relaxation and releasing the held tensions, especially old, long-lasting ones. Jo is a very attentive practitioner, adjusting the session to my needs and sensitivity, and that is not an easy job as I can be very reactive :) And it is just a beautiful work with all the sounds and various singing bowls and unexpected water music. I love that Jo is open to experimenting with them and allowing her clients to have a play too.
Helena Davies: Myself and my partner have been coming here for about 2 months now, and we absolutely love it. Jo and Mike are so welcoming and encouraging, and the studio is a beautiful and safe space. Mats, bolsters and blocks are provided so you don’t need to bring anything, and the classes themselves have such a lovely atmosphere. The acroyoga in particular has been really fun to try out, you can go to the class alone or with a partner, everyone is welcome. The yoga on a Friday with Eleanora is also brilliant, really good for stretching tight hamstrings. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!!
Amanda Phippen: I've been attending Yoga Loft classes for just over a month and I am so greatful to have found this studio. Jo's classes are insightful and personal, She clearly is dedicated to the yogic path. Mike is so much fun, he always structures his classes around the students and their goals. If you are experience or a beginner this studio will be perfect for you! Grateful 🙏
Thomas Roberts: Wonderful space, amazing teachers and a great sense of community. It's inspiring to see how Jo and Mike have transformed the building over lockdown and it has become my favourite place to spend time in Plymouth. It's a great place to meet people and try new things.I use the monthly membership and it's an amazing price, often going 3-4 times a week doing a great variation of activities. For anyone who's looking to start something new, look no further! Don't join a chain gym, support a local business and join a lovely community of likeminded people.
Amy: I have had three sound healing treatments with Jo now, in an effort to calm my nervous system after some heavy medical treatment. The sessions have left me feeling calmer and more relaxed, yet energised and clear at the same time. Jo holds space gently and professionally during the treatments, and I leave feeling truly nourished. I highly recommend trying a sound healing treatment at the Yoga Loft with Jo. I also attend this beautiful studio space for weekly yoga classes and it is something I truly look forward to each week, so a huge thank you to Jo for all the efforts she has put in to make this space so special and welcoming to all. What a gift it is to have the Yoga Loft in Stonehouse!
Megan Downing: I love going to classes at Yoga Loft - there is such an amazing community built around the classes, carefully cultivated by Jo - a real sense of comradery that is very empowering and nourishing.I can highly recommend Yoga Loft Plymouth for people of all levels of experience with yoga. I am teacher trained and have been practicing yoga for a number of years, but I love being in classes next to total beginners and find that no matter where someone is on the spectrum of experience, there is always lots to gain from a class. As students we are always encouraged to go at our own pace, but the opportunity to challenge yourself is always there.
Zoe Harris: I dropped into the community hatha class and really enjoyed it. Jo played crystal bowls during the relaxation at the end which was an unexpected treat. Lovely calming space to whisk you away from city life.
rubaroof: Fantastic Friday morning yoga with Jo today, very welcoming and proficient.
Eve Brightstar: Went back yesterday for my second class. Really cannot adequately articulate how rare they are from a teacher point of view. The flow and engagement in class couldn't be better and the experience they have shows so clearly. This is part of me living my dreams, and I have to say I always feel so empowered and positive after having got to work on training. So if you fancy starting, come along and check them out. Really can't recommend highly enough. The space is fabulous too.
Gary Blagdon: My wife and I started yoga about 6 weeks ago on a Friday morning. I was a little nervous and anxious at first having never done yoga before, however Jo is amazing and has made the whole experience great. We now look forward to our Friday morning yoga class each week with anticipation. Would thoroughly recommend to everyone.
Lucy Blagdon: I have been coming to Jo's Yoga class on a Friday morning for about 5 weeks now. The space is beautiful and Jo has a very calming and relaxing way, making each session so enjoyable. I thoroughly recommended Yoga Loft to everyone.
Kerry Brosnan: I love coming into this space. The ambience of the studio is warm, comforting and relaxing. Jo & Mike are incredibly encouraging and make you feel so welcome. No matter your ability these guys are considerate and will read the room & ajust. These people love what they do - and it that really shows!
Paddy Macgougan: Really nice place, really nice teachers. Great, chilled out atmosphere.
Stikmannn: Positive:Professionalism,QualityHandstand heros yo!

Yoga Blend: what do users think?
Gill Court: I am so glad that Yogablend is here or us all! An amazing space, offering a wide variety of classes suitable for all, irrespective of your yoga practice you can be sure of a great welcome and expert tuition. I thank Laura and the team for creating such a safe space and generous community. I recommend going to Yogablend for mental stability, physical health and general wellbeing.
Heather Longford: Laura has created a safe, supportive space for all ages and abilities to practice yoga. There are a wide variety of classes, workshops and retreats to choose from, creating a wonderful community atmosphere that welcomes both members and visiting yogis. This studio is an oasis of calm - highly recommended.
Clare Glazsher: In January I had never stepped foot inside a yoga studio and after a year of using a yoga app at home felt perhaps I ought to make sure I was doing it properly. I started with a beginners 5 week workshop, loved it so much I enrolled for a second time. Then with advice from the knowledgeable team started classes. As quite a nervous 53 year old beginner to a yoga class I have always felt welcomed and have learned so much already. Gem of a place right on my doorstep too.
Nuala Mcdermott: I’ve been coming since December and it’s been an absolute life saver! Given me back faith in my body. I love the hot classes but the gentler classes really deepen my practice as well. Friendly and skilful, lots of different teachers, definitely worth my membership.
Rosie Webb: Ridiculous locked door policy. Was running a couple of mins late due to finding parking and door locked when I arrived. Nobody answered when I knocked. Phoned and told I couldn’t join the class as unlocking the door would disrupt the class. Well the instructor wouldn’t have to stop to unlock the door if the door wasn’t locked! Have never experienced this in any other yoga studio. It is perfectly acceptable to join the back of the class quietly.
Vicky Brooks: Beautifully-held space by Laura. She speaks to - and from - the heart and has created a remarkably peaceful sanctuary with this studio. Opportunities for all levels and so many different yoga classes from hatha to super tough! A wonderful space
Jacqueline Grubb: This studio is the most warming, welcoming space. There is a class for you wherever you are in your yoga or spiritual journey.I just love the warm flow yoga and combining this with the Yin classes.Everyone is so friendly - a beautiful community.Health and wellness is is so important and this is the place where that is achieved.
Holly Stirling: Lovely studioCalm and friendly environmentLucky to find itThanks Laura
Phoebe Ellis: Positive:ProfessionalismAmazing environment, lovely staff. Couldn't rate it enough!
Laura Wilkinson: I'm so happy that I've found yoga blend! I immediately feel calm and welcomed on entering the studio. The online classes are great too. With so many classes and times to choose from there is always something to meet my needs. Really good value too (if you pick the right package). I've dabbled in yoga a bit over the years but this place has got me properly hooked. I very rarely give 5 star reviews, but these guys deserve it.
Jan Pryer: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityYoga blend has enhanced my life so much through the last 18 months and the lockdown. All of the instructors are such lovely people and make you feel part of a community even practising online. The range of classes is just the perfect mix. Thank you from my heart all at Yoga Blend!
Barn Owl: Practicing under the guiding hands of Yoga Blend’s dedicated staff is a privilege. The studio is immaculate, equipped and warming; their classes and Zoom sessions are welcoming, comprehensive and as challenging as you would like them to be. Whether you are old or young, visiting or local, beginner or seasoned yogi, Yoga Blend has something for everyone.
Laura Jayne: Positive:Professionalism,QualityFantastic yoga studio with really great classes - good variety from relaxing restorative to intense ashtanga. Very happy it's so close to my home!
Stefano Nepa: Very nice place, the teachers are very knowledgable and kind! The choice is very wide and give anyone the opportunity to practice. The price is a not the cheapest, but it is worth it.I would appreciate a bigger offer outside of the work times (not 9-17) and who knows maybe an ashtanga one.
Sue Ellis: Yoga blend Mutley plain are so friendly and welcoming.I was worried that it would be all young people but Yogablend welcome young and old. The staff are so friendly and informative. There are lots of classes to choose from. It has helped me and could help you too.
Emily Taylor - Williams: This place is amazing. Laura and her team are so great at making you feel welcome. I had always been too nervous to start my yoga journey before coming here but now I am hooked and cannot stay away! If your looking for great classes and a special atmosphere come and do yoga at yoga blend
Nineplus113 Nineplus: Initially joined for a trial period and was overwhelmed by how amazing the teachers and studio are . It is enlightening, enjoyable and really gives you confidence for whatever level you are at. The website, classes and booking service is really easy to use. 5⭐️
Liz Westlake: I love coming to this place. I've been to other yoga classes but this is by far the best in the area. Everyone (teachers and students) seem to be friendly and welcoming, the teachers are highly knowledgeable, there are a variety of classes to choose from and the studio is amazing.
Kerry: Yoga Blend is an oasis of calm in the middle of bustling Mutley Plain. Being completely new to yoga, all of the teachers have put me at ease and given me the confidence to keep going with my yoga journey. Yoga Blend is a welcome addition to the local area and going there is one of the best life decisions I've ever made. I cannot recommend it enough 🙏
sara ciara: That place 3 omg I 've been traveling a lot but that yoga place is the best!! The energy the vibes! It' s my favorite one! The best one I promise that! You can just try once and then you will remember me and you will always want to attend
Allice Hocking: Great studio - Laura makes everyone so welcome, whatever their level of experience and adjusts the class so everyone can enjoy their yoga journey. Have recommended the classes to friends, many who haven't practiced yoga for years, or at all and all really enjoying it now. Really good range of classes and something for everyone!

Laura Verbunt: Best yoga studio by far! The studio itself is very clean and zen. Jules is an excellent teacher, professional and experienced. Her classes are energising and fun, you can do everything on your own pace. She makes suggestion poses for the ones that are more experienced and like a challenge and vice versa. Personally, I love the meditation at the end of the class, it makes me always feel relaxed and centered. Highly recommended!
Emma: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityBrilliant yoga studio & offers many classes from beginners to intermediate classes for mind, body & soul. Jessica Sinclair: Space to Move is an amazing yoga studio that has a range of classes. Their approach is one of inclusivity and fostering self worth. Their yoga classes have really kept me going the past 18m, and I have improved and learnt so much! (even if I can’t go as regularly as I would like due to work commitments but there is no judgement for that either! )
ANDREW MAY: I have been going to Jules to practise yoga for many years, long before space to move opened.I cannot recommend Jules highly enough, she is a professional, safe, very experienced yoga teacher, who prepares a different yoga routine weekly. The music, ambience, standard of studio is beautiful, making it a fabulous space to move! Every attention to detail is taken into consideration, such as the quality of the mats, hygiene & the fragrance in the space. As a dedicated yogi who has practised for 16yrs I am incredibly grateful to have Jules as a yoga teacher & the studio in Plymouth.Jules offers far more than movement during her yoga practise, the real essence of what true yoga reflects, both physically & spiritually.Sheena May

Ashtanga Yoga Plymouth: what do users think?
Faraday Fearnside: I have been attending Karens' classes on Zoom, and I am so grateful to her and the classes she teaches each week. They have been my saving grace and made a huge difference to my body during my recovery from trauma related difficulties. My body has been under huge stress and 6 months ago I could hardly move and was in so much pain. My body is now getting stronger and is coping better with triggers and is more flexible, I have lost weight, and it is definitely beginning to balance out. I feel so much stonger more grounded and centred. After Karen's class I always feel better. I have days when I am in pain and drained and do not feel like doing it, but when I do the class it always helps and I feel much calmer. The last few months of attending Karen's classes and doing Ashtanga Yoga have been a huge part of my healing journey and recovery. I definitely would not be getting stronger if it wasn't for Karen's direction and dedication to her classes and practice. I let her know what was going on and she was very supportive. So a massive thank you to Karen, I am so grateful to her perseverance with Zoom and moving to online sessions. Yoga is recommended for support in recovery from PTSD and I absolutely agree, especially Ashtanga with Karen because she makes it inviting and comfortable to do. xxx
Charlotte Lily: I had some private lessons with Karen over the last few weeks. Although I've been practicing yoga for around 10 years, these sessions brought to light how much I've neglected certain aspects of the premise on which Ashtang yoga was built. I've been shown how to breathe properly through my flows in a way that optimises the benefits of the pose/stretch. Karen has also helped me improve my posture and taught me how the gaze when in a stretch or posture has such an impact on our ability to perform that part of the flow. She's been an absolute game changer, I'm just so grateful! And I've learned and laughed at the same time. So very highly recommended!
Ángela Freebird: I've been coming to Karen's class for 3 months now and it's been an amazing experience so far, even if I had never thought of yoga as something that could feel so good as part of my weekly routine! It was also the 1st time in my life that I practiced yoga, but even if it felt a bit overwhelmingly fast at the beginning, Karen's sessions allow you to find your own pace; she always insists in finding our own balance between effort and ease and start working from there. This approach is helping me a lot to get some self-confidence and to actually enjoy what I'm doing, instead of just taking it as something I "have to do" in order to stay healthy. If you give it a go, you will probably feel results very soon =) Looking forward to come back after the Christmas break!
Melanie Sharpe: Karen is an excellent teacher who makes challenging ashtanga postures accessible to all. She places a lot of emphasis on Bandha and helps her students locate and use this. I learn something every time I go and feel inspired to try new things. I can’t recommend her or her classes highly enough. She’s definitely one of the best teachers I’ve ever come across!
Ornella Del Cont Bernard: I love doing Ashtanga Yoga with Karen. She is lovely, the lessons are adapted for all levels, you feel comfortable since the first time despite the awkward positions and it is motivating. Ashtanga with Karen is a pleasure, it is dynamic and relaxing at the same time. I had benefits on my flexibility and strength. I’m suggesting Ashtanga Yoga to all my friends and I definitely recommend it.
Anna K: I have been coming now for few years now. On and off, depending on work. Loving the routine. Really getting more flexible now. Arms getting stronger. As Karen always says, just get rid of your chairs and practice the postures whilst watching TV etc... The class always helps me to relax and forget about work. Karen also does classes outside in the summer which is great! She also organises retreats. Have a look on FB. Highly recommended!
Ian Youlden: Can’t recommend Ashtanga Yoga with Karen highly enough.I’ve been going once a week for 10 months now, starting from a pretty low base line, as a 64 year old man having had major abdominal surgery, resulting in a colostomy and a stoma.Ashtanga Yoga with Karen has changed my life.No exaggeration. She has given me the confidence in my body as it is now, to embrace yoga. There’s no feeling of being judged, there’s no sense of competition, everyone is given the same attention and encouragement.Karen allows us to practice within our own limits, and encourages us as we grow and improve.I started Yoga to help me learn how to relax and unwind. Ashtanga teaches me how to do so by repetition of the positions and concentration on breathing, with Karen’s voice giving instruction and encouragement throughout. So, actual results? Without any additional exercise or any dieting, 2” off my waist, improved posture, improved muscle tone, improved appetite, much better sleeping, and the ability to control what Karen calls “the monkey mind”I’m a convert, Karen’s classes have made me so, it’s down to her that it’s her voice that I hear in my head if I practice sun salutations at home !!Try it, you won’t regret it.
Sarah Bedaton: I love Karen's classes. She is a very experienced instructor and will adjust your position if you need it. She runs lots of classes and some outside in summer months.
Katherine McKinnon: One of my favourite yoga classes to go to👍
J M: Karen is an exceptionally great teacher, personally I find her the best in Plymouth and recommend her to all my clients and friends. She is consistent with the care and energy she brings to all her classes and makes all levels from beginner to advanced very welcome!I highly recommend her.

Yoga Class Near You: what do users think?
Nea Maria S.: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Abby Mowana: What a great platform, class and teacher, quick and easy to book a class on the go. After years of suffering with back pain It was great to experience an instructor who put the fun back into exercise by showing me how to align and hold my core properly. What a refresher, I am looking forward to the next sessions!
Rachel Crowley: Really enjoyed the class, easy to book online. Highly Recommend!
kelly Ford: Excellent team easy to use easy to book online would definitely recommend
Mme Valmont: Great and easy way to find a good yoga class. I definitely recommend it.
AD: Fantastic way to find, book, and attend classes for yoga. I've used this service all over UK and never fails to impress of how easy it is.

Nuffield Health: what do users think?
Antonia Ridgeon: Joined in February and have been really enjoying this gym, staff are very friendly and happy to help.I mostly use the pool facilities and classes due to mobility issues and find that it can be quite overcrowded, especially as the decision has been made to remove the spa pool (jet pool) permanently.Husband uses the top floor free weights and machines and whilst variety and quality of equipment is very good he also often relays that these areas are also very crowded. For any improvement, I think that either an extension of the space and some moderation / limitation of members would be ideal. For instance as all members scan their card to enter there could also be an exit scan to provide accurate numbers in the premises (this would also be advantageous in any instances of fire / evacuation) which could then relay through the app to allow members to see how busy the gym is before arriving.
Rachel Dyer: Great friendly gym. Good equipment and facilities with a lovely atmosphere.
Ollie Richmond: Just walked out of the gym.. way too busy! More equipment is needed and better use of floor area
Macauley Waites: A great gym with fantastic facilities and helpful instructors. I'm 100% moving to this gym when my membership elsewhere runs out!
james Beedle: Sorry Nuffield, nothing personal. The facilities and staff are still great, but it’s no longer an enjoyable visit for me. For some reason you have an overcrowding issue. Way, way too many people are using the gym and pool from 1700 to about 1945 weekdays. No hope of getting on a piece of equipment or swimming, let alone relaxing in a stress free environment. This means cleanliness also suffers. Have you signed up too many new members recently?
Nicki: Pool was closed for weeks, then air con has been broken for months on end and unable to open the windows, now... spa is closed for all of autumn and winter!! and yet they never offer any membership discount, despitea always taking facilities away. Its really poor!!
Jasmine High: Been a member for over a year now and can't fault it. Always really clean considering the amount of members. Yes, at times the pool area is busy but its just one of those things. The classes are always good and the instructors are faultless. Really friendly staff on the front desk and willing to help. Even if you're on the waiting list I find you do tend to get a place.
Corey Bygrave: nuffield health is way too expensive for what it is, way to crowded. aircon is broken and wont be fixed untill winter. when i asked for a refund they laughed at me and said im never going to get one. staff are really rude. since moving to puregym ive been able to exercise alot better and have loads more room. avoid this gym!!
lukasz pilczuk: It's really good gym professional equipment.Nice and friendly stuff.Really recommending
Steven Knight: Made to feel very unwelcome in the Gym by the Fitness Manager because of my disability.
Jake Bradshaw: I have been a member for over a year now and thought I would share my thoughts. This gym is brilliant. Fantastic helpful staff and modern equipment which, crucially, is kept very clean. Very well done Nuffield Health team, see you shortly for a morning swim. 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️🏊
Ryan McQueen: This club has an overall great and better atmosphere than the devonshire seems to, you walk in and straight away you feel under no pressure and and you get left alone, nobody bothers you or takes offence for anything even for so much as walking in a certain way, I love it and will keep using, I love just opposite the devonshire which had a wonderful outdoor pool but this club appears to take the edge with its spa.facilities whilst the pool is smaller, if you choose your times and can accept a bit of hustle and bustle then this club works well, also the gym is excellent containing equipment that most gyms in this city dont have and you would normally travel far for. Keep up the good work and staff seem to be great there too.
Karen Wright-moseley: Visited to check out facilities, complimentary swim+ workout, didn t think it would meet my needs as l can only do vertical swimming exercises.Tried a few other pools, gyms.Reconsidered and requested another complimentary session ,granted without hesitation.l have now been a highly satisfied member for several months.Staff in all areas are enthusiastic, cheerful and always happy to help and advise. Can highly recommend it.
Rachel Brudenell: Critical:QualityAs a long term member I have sadly seen a decline in the clientele in this club. From certain members urinating in the jacuzzi and shower area around the pool to lots of people swimming in the pool not adhering to 4 persons per lane.
Karl Holman: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreat staff, came in for a fitness test and the staff member who did it was incredibly supportive and helpful. Really great place couldn't have had a better experience
Duncan Townsend: Excellent Gym, Great members of staff who are supportive, friendly and helpful.
SharkyD MisFortune: after cancelling my membership they continued to charge my account, kept sending me letters stating I owed them money, got a debt collector involved WHEN THEY KNEW THEY'D MESSED UP. Needless to say, I've been fighting for my money since October last year AND STILL HAVEN'T SEEN IT.Avoid like the plague.
John Jags Jagger: Excellent gym, friendly reception and pt's I met, lush jacuzzi and sauna, showers are nice and hot!only not a 5 star as the steam room could do with more steam, gym could do with some heavier kettlebells upto 30kg at least like most gyms and decent Reebok steps for doing exercises off instead of the cheap ones they have and most of all I got frustrated with playing the game "hunt for the 20kg plates" which took at least 5 mins off my workout as the plates in gym are such a mess both times I've been in to use the place. Would still choose this gym over budget gyms though.UPDATE:Having being diagnosed with an illness yrs ago which has had an detrimental effect on my hormones, I recently sought support and advice from the PT Alison Willis who has been amazing and so understanding and thorough with her lifestyle and nutritional advice being that she is a fully qualified nutritionist I have found her help invaluable and recommend her to anyone seeking to improve all aspects of their health and fitness
Bernadette Lynch: Great equipment and staff are always friendly and extremely helpful!!
sam clark: Avoid avoid avoid. I agree with all negative comments I've read. It's like working out in a sauna, equipment is poorly maintained, PT's are sleazy, gym classes minimal and management team, right to HQ, who do not respond to feedback. Despite constantly asking for your comments they just get defensive. in general the chain is fine but not this one!

House of Yoga: what do users think?
Philip Cook: The house of yoga is a warm friendly welcoming bespoke yoga group that caters to all levels from beginners to intermediate . I have had the personal fortune to attend these classes for 12 years now and it’s what gets me through todays ups and downs physically and mentally. I fully recommend you should at least try and bring this practice into your life and become charged spiritually mentally and physically, walk tall and feel the confidence it gives you X
Tony Davies: Positive:Professionalism
Philip Loft: I started doing yoga in preparation for my first marathon. I knew it would be to my advantage doing it but I was so nervous about joining somewhere because I was a complete beginner. I chose House Of Yoga because of the convenient location and when I called I was greeted with a very warm & positive welcome by Sibylla. I was very nervous at first thinking it may be too intense being in a room with a small number of people I've never met before however, when arriving all my fears and anxieties disappeared as Sibylla made me feel so welcome and I realised everyone else was a beginner at some point. It has been the best thing I've ever done and two years on I still enjoy going there and feel great for doing so. I've met so many different people not just from Plymouth but different countries too. The classes are of mixed age/gender but small enough to know that you are getting the right support from Sibylla. Sibylla doesn't seem to clock watch and there have been times where we have been doing the class for more than an hour and a half because when she's in the zone she really in the zone! Perfect!
Magda Knijff: The yoga weekend retreat was fantastic. Great yoga, scenic walks, relaxing evenings, delicious meals, sparkling conversation, sense of humour, beautiful house, rooms and personality." Under the inspiring guidance of Sibylla Chan.

The Climbing Hangar: what do users think?
Lucas Wall: I went climbing here multiple times! Great place with easy, and Olympic level climbs, very good place to learn bouldering! (Photos of me climbing and 1/2 of park)! They even have a small area for smaller children! Perfect for young climbers!
Robert Hinchley: Great routes, all updated regularly, very professional and friendly staff. Being able to borrow shoes included with your climb cost/membership is a real nice touch.Only niggles are: membership isn't cheap and some classes (e.g. circuits) aren't included. The cost of a single visit is prohibitive for most. Strangely late opening on Saturday and Sunday mornings (1000) compared to gyms, grotty showers with broken heads (and the car park is shot to pieces!)
Harmony Tang: A social place for beginners, novice and advance/pros, all whist gaining confidence in climbing.I first joined Plymouth Climbing Hangar, starting my new job in a whole new county. Being close to what I love doing brings me closer to those I go with and my personal goals and hobbies
Rachael Malthouse: Totally new to climbing. Took my 11 and 9 year old and had an awesome time. Great value trip. Thanks Emma for our induction, you were great!
Jonathan Downes: Great fun way to build up physical strength and fitness. I really like the varied challenges on offer. And the coffee is amazing too!
Francesca Foster: This was the first time for me doing anything like this, went with my family who live in New Zealand as they are back in England and enjoy climbing out there, so it was a family morning out! Staff were so friendly (Jazz sorted our induction, and she was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful). The food was also fantastic, lots of vegan and gluten free options for anyone with dietary preferences. There were five of us, I would add it did come out separately, but this really wasn't an issue as the food was a treat and not something we went for specifically, but we will definitely have food again. We will be back!
Harrison Clark: Great centre, favourite in cornwall
Jon Bishop: An amazing facility that is clean, modern and well equipped. There is ample free parking right out front. The route setting is excellent with an easy to use colour coded system. The Service was excellent and we were really well looked after. The cafe is excellent also. The day rate is not cheap, but the monthly membership is extremely good value. As with most things you get what you pay for !!
Lilly Nguyen: Nice place to climb, great atmosphere & community
Ali Andisheh: Really nice and friendly staff. Especially Gareth 👍
Marston Tim.: Great place to climb and hangout :-)
Mark Roberts: Excellent bouldering centre with amazingly talented and knowledgeable staff thanks guys see you very soon. 👍👌🤟
Anna Maria: Absolutely amazing! Took my son, and his friends, to celebrate his birthday in there. The staff at the reception was absolutely amazing - definitely knew how to deal with 'almost' teenagers (sorry, don't remember your name)! Atmosphere was great. There is plenty of space for everyone for any level of climbing. Watching the kiddies made me want to try it myself. Definitely will be back!!!
Brandon: Been climbing here for around 6 months now and couldn't be happier. Route setting is great and zones are changed regularly to keep things fresh. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Great facilities with a shop for all your gear needs, a café that serves delicious food, clean changing facilities, warm up/training areas, a separate room for the little ones and more. Overall just a fantastic climbing gym, highly recommended!
Josh Kopeček: A superb bouldering gym. Really outstanding route-setting, probably the best in the region - a really good range for all abilities. Plenty of space for all the routes, and a really wide range of slabs and overhangs. There really is something for everyone. The café is also superb, great coffee and cakes!Large warm up and training area with a great selection of equipment. Table tennis in the entrance hall as well! Highly recommended.
Matthew Staddon: Really friendly and helpful staff running a great indoor climbing centre. Amazing food and drink options in their cafe as well. Highly recommend for anyone from beginner like us to experienced climber wanting to get some practice in
Mark Squire: Great parkingStaff excellent. Bit out the way but once you do it once easy peasy
Darya: Cafe the best! Gym is awesome, loads of interesting boulders
bluen tan: Always wanted to have a go but wasn’t sure how much I could actually do. The staff make you feel very welcome, there’s no need to be apprehensive, there’s a nice cafe and nobody is judging you, just enjoying themselves. There’s lots and lots of climbing routes to chose from for all abilities so it’s all good.I’ve joined as a member now and so has my daughter and we try go 2 - 3 times a week for about 45mins and both have noticed a dramatic improvement. Way more fun than going to the gym, but you will ache all over the next day……or several days.
BANG AVERAGE CHEF: Love it here
Sarah Goldsmith: Great relaxed vibe (whether you are there to climb or watch). Kids and husband enjoyed climbing whilst daughter and I drank coffee and ate focaccia - omg that was amazing!!
