Our younger patients are seen on level 12 by a small team generally including gynaecologisy consultants along with a paediatric consultant and one of our nurses.

This service is available for women who need a general anaesthetic for minor procedures like hysteroscopy and laparoscopy (keyhole surgery). Most of these procedures will be performed at Derriford hospital in the main theatre suite but some operations are performed at Tavistock hospital. You can also choose to have your hysteroscopy (look inside the womb with a small telescope) and some other minor procedures done in a special outpatient clinic at the Lancaster suite.

Most of our patients who need to spend the night in hospital generally stay on the Ocean suite on level 6. Our ward has been newly refurbished and has a team of dedicated gynaecology nurses to provide care and support to these women who need to be admitted to the hospital.
