Wesley Woltman: Had an excellent experience while looking for sofa options for my mother. We had a very tricky requirement on sizes and Holly in the Plymouth showroom showed tremendous patience and a real knowledge of the range. She wasn't pushy at all and made us feel very comfortable and unhurried. A real asset to the company.

John Dolan: I ordered a sofas from here 13 weeks ago with a 6 week delivery time and now I'm being to in might not arrive before Christmas It was supposed to arrive in the 1st week of Nov my wife is heavily pregnant and we have had no sofa for the last 6 weeks because we ordered this at the time before we moved into our new home if your looking for a good sofa and good customer care go somewhere else
eric russell: Yet one more customer treated in a very UNETHICAL manner--I went into the Plymouth shop, looked at and ordered a sofa bed, and when it came it was not exactly as I ordered--I was given the choice of hard or soft cushions, and the mattress is way too narrow for the frame (by 6cm, which sticks out awkwardly, and every other site states their 2 seater mattress as 114cm, which is what my base is, though the mattress is only 108.). Having waited for nearly an hour on phone, they told me that my model did not HAVE 2 cushion options, and assured me they would consider the problem and phone back, with 48 hours, which they didn't When I then waited on hold in another call, they told me I should deal with the shop so off I went for the 1 hour drive, only to be told that, No they could not deal with me, as I had purchased it on-line (through a basket the shop sent me). Another phone call, and, Yes, I would have to pay 10% (over 150 pounds) to have it collected, even though the error was theirs, not mine. This is totally UNETHICAL business behaviour, and they should be ashamed of their atrocious Customer Service UPDATE: In response to this review, they sent their standard 'Oh, so sorry' reply with an email address to write our complaint to, promising to reply within 48 hours. That was 4 days ago and No Reply. Again: Atrocious & Unacceptable Customer Service.
Jazmin Smith: Terrible customer service. Sofa turned up damaged and when called to discuss spoke to a representative call zac that was very unhelpful. They said they would send someone out but was only in working hours when I couldn't get the time off work. When I asked to speak to the manager he refused to put me through saying this wasn't an issue they would want to know about and they only deal with big issues. After spending nearly £3500 I would expect to be treated as a priority. He said they wouldn't want to talk to me. After asking over and over to be put through i was placed on hold for 10 minutes. When Zac came back on the phone he said the manger didn't want to talk to me and told zac to deal with this himself. I asked for the managers name but Zac refused to give this to me. He then proceeded to say there was nothing that can be done and that he will put it in for a call out but he didn't know when this would be. So sad to be let down like this. You go to sofology thinking you will get a well made product and receive great customer service. This is definitely not the case with aftercare.

Emily Almond: Last Sunday I went in to sofology with my mum to try and find her a new sofa. However this quickly became an uncomfortable experience. We were approached by a employee ( I didn’t catch a name, but he was a large man in a white shirt), he asked us if we wanted any help with the sofas. We said we wanted to look at some more first. He then didn’t leave us, and started to make conversation with us. This quickly went from talking about the sofa to degrading comments about his Ex-Wife and unwanted flirtatious remarks mainly directed to my mum. As we weren’t really trying to engage with this man we got up and looked at some other sofas. He then came back up to us and tried it continue the “conversation” we had just tried to get away from, whilst making some very intense eye contact at our chests. We were so put off we promptly left and actually purchased a sofa at another store despite really likening on at sofology. We found his whole demeanour very off putting and ultimately just wanted to try and buy a sofa without being harassed.
Andi Hill: What an amazing service we had from this company. Honestly cannot express my gratitude enough to Ray and Holly at the store. Nothing was too much trouble and they were patient and kind throughout the whole experience. Even when we were running around taking cushions off of all the sofas to see what looked best.. as I said very excellent service. Both Ray and Holly are a credit to the sofology company. Thanks so much!

Carol Hammond: Saw a good deal on a sofa in February and paid in full. It needed to be re-wrapped and delivered.It was not delivered although I was told it was out for delivery. They then admitted it was lost. I assumed they would re order and deliver with an apology.Not so.Now mid August and no sofa. They offer a refund, a credit note or me to pay 50% of the cost to re order my sofa which they have lost!!! I am refusing these offers as I believe they are in contravention of the consumer protection laws which state they cannot retrospectively vary the terms of the contract ….and charge me more for their mistake.No call backs on many occasions when promised, bullying behaviour telephoning and saying it has been resolved and they are processing my refund which I have not requested or authorised…you get the picture. I will not give up although I expect their lawyers are more than I can afford to oppose.

Sam Wilkins: Shocking, absolutely terrible. Sofas were supposed to be delivered over a month ago. They rearranged for delivery tomorrow. I’ve had my current sofas picked up and disposed of, only to find out that our sofas have been delayed again for another week. I now have no sofas in my lounge, I have had to find care for my one year old son because of the swap around which was a waste of time and money. Staff on the phone are useless, they lied to my partner and said the sofas were off for a 3-day clean (which another employee told me doesn’t even exist) tried to make a complaint but they’ve made that near impossible. Wouldn’t recommend SCS to anyone, hopeless and incompetent. Don’t lie, speak the truth, it’s as simple as that. Plymouth branch for anyone who’s wondering.

Aurora “Aurora” Saunders: We visited several furniture places yesterday and chose to come back to ScS today to make our purchase of two 2 seater sofas. Staff were friendly and informative without being overbearing. We were able to take time making final decision and were given guidance about preffered fabrics and colour etc.There was a very good variety of sofas to choose from and everything was clearly marked with options and prices.First time I've made a major purchase without leaving the shop and feeling unsure ten minutes later! Very happy so far with the store and the staff. Will leave another review once the order has been completed and is in situ!
Nicholas Symons: Absolutely shocking from start to finish. Don’t even deserve 1 star. Was promised carpet would be laid before new sofa arrived which didn’t happen and then promised carpet to be fitted first thing, fitters didn’t turn up til late ( not there fault thou) SCS said we would be first job, one price from SCS for carpet to be fitted and a difference price from the fitters. I felt like once ScS had our custom and money, their customer service was none existent.

Dawn Lewis: *BEWARE* customer service from start to finish was shocking would not recommend, wrong carpet delivered, then had to wait another 5 weeks for delivery, oh mywhat a surprise carpet did not arrive on day given!! but advised us the fitter said he told scs he had too much work on so unable to complete but we the customer were NOT informed! Refund requested in the end, the manager was not bothered in the slightest about the customer.
Derry Grose: I would not recommend scs as they are quick enough to sell you stuff and take your money,But when it comes to receiving your goods they move the delivery date later so when you decide to go and pick your goods up from the store you need to tell them you want your delivery charge refunded but it toke 6 weeks of ringing them every day before they gave a refund and I'm still waiting for 2 more parts of my order to be sent which they just say it's in the warehouse but cant give me a delivery date, I rang customer service today and they told me I'm not the only one having the same problem with scs, so please think twice before going there.

Mark Tucker: Problem with broken furniture which was being replaced, delivery was delayed for months and when the delivery guys arrived one decided it was too heavy to get into the house so put it back on the truck and drove away. My wife visited the store to try and get an explanation as to why and had the security and police called for raising her voice 😳, delivery was eventually rearranged for the next day but not without a lot of hassle. So the next day it arrived eventually and the guys dismantled the sofa to get it into the house.

Peter Levy: I would strongly advise against using DFS Plymouth as they are unable to solve problems or return a call.We received a sofabed over a week ago, it had the wrong matress.There are two solutions to this very simple problem;1. The matress is replaced with the one ordered.2. The sofa is removed from our home and our money refunded.We have made numerous calls to the telephone helpline, the only thing they can do on the helpline is get someone from the store to call back. We were told that the salesperson wasn't in so we would receive a call back tomorrow, despite us informing them that we wouldn't be available. Why we have to speak to the exact salesperson is beyond me. The call came, we couldn't answer as we were out of reception.We called the helpline again. They called back on a Saturday, I advised the salesperson that I had bad reception and asked that they call back if we got cut off. We got as far as the lady saying "I was told you were under the impression that you ordered the deluxe mattress" before the line cut off. She tried calling back once more only to hang up. Then tumbleweeds.I spent a further half hour on the phone yesterday and still have not had a call back.It seems at odds with basic customer service to keep your customers calling time and time again instead of someone simply persisting until a problem is solved.
