Niki C: Excellent!
Jann Hofmann: A really good college, the staff is very friendly, enjoyable, and qualified. The teachers are also really cool especially many thanks to Lee.
xSimplyElm: although I’d cancelled on the ielts exam a refund appeared an impossible task, the management refunded me kindly unlike most schools who steal students money .
Dave Bryant: Great teachers and management. Highly recommend.
Nina Lav: very genuine and helpful
Luka Jerinic: I attended an IELTS preparation course at this school in May 2016 and got 8.0. It is definitely a great place to take your English to the next level. The host family was great as well. Highly recommended!
nie cud: I was supposed to have my IELTS test in Mayflower College but there was no contact with them at all: they didn't answer my e-mails and didn't pick up the phone so I couldn't re-book the test when my rota changed and I couldn't attend. I made numerous complaint to them and to British Council and Mayflower College once says that they didn't received any e-mails from me, once says that they received and they even replied what is just a lie. I would like to warn everybody from that College and advise to look for IELTS provider somewhere else.
Yathorshan Shanthakumaran: I had an exam here so this was my exam centre. The staff are really friendly and are very polite. If you have a question, they are always happy to help.

City College Plymouth: what do users think?
Mel Steadman: I enjoy the course and the staff are amazing
Bradleigh Muttram: 6on
adnan ismail: Worst place to study. I applied for welding course level 2 and waited nearly two months for the class to start then I attended to my first class they said I wasn't on the list and the lady who is in charge said I'm very sorry I haven't seen your email. Now I have to wait a year for the next welding course
Jayjay Seetan: Clean, good café and very efficient in the interview my son attended here
Mostafa Ghanbari: Horrible!! I am a writer but they judged me by my appearance and didn't listen to me properly. They said the City College did not have anything to do with literature!!!! They sent me sway!
Ha C: Unfriendly people, who annoy me sometimes, I need to stop it now
Mitchell Weeks: I joined in 2020 to do diploma in performing arts which was a 2 year course. Before i started i was told by a member of staff that its free because it was my first ever level 3 but then during the second year i had the admin telling me that i had to pay for the second year of the course when we were already half way through the year. At the end it was a good course but a few things let this college down. The first is the admin hub as they are not quick or efficient enough to get the right documents done. The second is some of the staff members, in the second year we put on a panto and a musical for our last 2 shows. We did a audition process but little did we know that before the audition the lectures already had a cast list for who they wanted to play each part. I think some of them are a bit biest and pick there favourites without seeing anyone else peform the part.
Shaun: I was hopeful when I joined city plymouth college, but was utterly disappointed with the college infustructure from the top down. I attended September 2022. I waited 6 months to do a plumbing NVQ Lvl 2 only to be kicked out by the safe guarding team for previous conviction of PWITS in 2016 which would be spent this year April. You would think colleges support change through education? Well sadly this is not true with this college and instead of encouraging positive change they threw me to the streets with no support or plan B. If I wasn't strong willed I could have folded back to my selling days but I didn't because God is with me. Shame on the college and staff for not only embarrassing me but wasting a year of my life and ensuring that I missed other opportunities while they dragged their feet leading me to believe I was going to aspire to achieve. In my opinion if you got any issues this is not the college to attend. It's bias, fear mongering and lacks structure and inclusion for vulnerable people. Sack the lot of em and start again. But that just my advice who am I but a humble servant of the realm
Callum: I did a "games development" course at this college from 2020-2022 and it was horrible. In the first year, the majority of staff where lazy and would sit back and put on YouTube tutorials instead of actually teaching. Because of this no one really learnt anything. The second year was even worse, we basically had one overworked teacher who had to teach multiple classes at the same time. For obvious reasons this was bad as no one in our class had much guidance because the teacher was constantly in and out of the class.Because of all of this I didn't get the correct grades to go to Uni, so its a lucky that I got an Unconditional Offer.Don't bother going here if you want to learn anything to do with computing/games dev :)
James Peters: I did a level 3 game development course here from 2020 to 2022 and it was rubbish. The course was really unorganized due to a lack of staff. It seemed the course was always a lower priority than the higher-level courses for game development (the same staff taught the higher level as well). While I think the higher levels should obviously have higher priority than the level I took I think it shouldn't have been to the degree it was. I think they should have had a lot more staff to accommodate all the courses they ran. Also, I found this course was not what I was expecting at all. Basically, all of the course was based on research with not much actual teaching. I would say maybe 15% of my learning came from the lecturers, which I think is wrong. I have learnt more from my lecturers in my uni course within the first term about game development than from my time spent here from lecturers. I think the way the course was graded is wrong as well, you were graded on the written work you produced and not the practical work you did. So for example you could have focused on producing a great game but that wouldn't matter because you were not graded on it. Overall from my experience if you are looking to do game development maybe look elsewhere.
blake kemp: very poor bullying management from staff, not a nice environment for lgbtq+ pupils. something needs to be fixed by staff, would not recommend coming here.
Molly Titchmarsh: Very poor student behaviour to other pupils.Do not recommend.
TerryTheMoose: This college is awful. I went there from Leeds, paying hundreds for accomodation. The lectureres on the journalism course bullied me out, so I was left with an accomadation bill, that I shouldn't have had to pay as I was going back up North. They didn't teach us anything useful. I was left with no education, trauma from teachers bullying and a huge bill. Avoid this college like the plague especially the journalism/media course (which isn't)and it's nasty lecturers.
Rebecca Anyanwu: It is a very comfortable place and the lectures are nice and always willing to help, not only the lecturers but the staffs too.
Ben Caunter: Great tutors excellent place for learning
Kevin O'Neill: Been attending self help group. Found the college very clean, spacious, flooded with natural light, and well signposted. Classrooms are well set out and not overcrowded with equipment or student table and chairs. Very impressed.
--: City College Plymouth provided me with an excellent quality of education, supporting my personal aspirations to reach my desired goal. Having studied at the college twice in the past decade, I have had the pleasure of witnessing the college evolve. As time and technology have grown, so has the college. The college is well resourced and equipped to tackle any subject, offering top level, professional industry equipment to students. In my experience and time here as a student, the lecturers have provided support, pastoral care, knowledge and professionalism to support students as subject specialists, challenging my understandings and beliefs by supporting me throughout my learning journey, encouraging students to achieve. The lecturers all have relevant industry experience they are able to pass down to students, whether these are studying level 1 or level 6 qualifications. The college's location is accessible, just out of the City Centre, either by train or the free number 36 bus from the City Centre and sits beside a wonderful public park, Devonport Park. There is no better alternative for Further Education in Plymouth. City College Plymouth is an excellent centre for any level of study.
alex d: Great place to learn anything you want, friendly staff and welcoming environment
Bernadette Lynch: Lovely walk around, staff were really nice and helpful.
Princess Danladi: It is a great place, I have been enjoying college.
B B: I'm convinced there is a scandal going on in this college. Deliberately assessing people to be at a lower academic level than what people actually are, so people pay for the lower courses as well as the courses above the lower ones. I'm 100% sure it's going on. So not only is it scamming money out of people, it's wasting a lot of people's time. Shameful!
