Rhian Smith: Hotel was fab. We did ask to move rooms due to being next to the air con unit which was quite loud and we were travelling with a baby. However, staff moved us without any issue and were really nice about it. Both rooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. Fab price for what we needed. Breakfast was good, everything was tasty. Would recommend.

Leon Hutton: Nice hotel with large rooms that can fit 4 adults. The breakfast tasted great (one of the better hotel breakfasts that I've had) and the staff were great too. Very friendly and nice, particularly the man that checked us in (didn't get his name) on Friday 26th at about 11pm I think, and the younger female cleaner doing the rooms by us on our floor (we were room 110 if I remember correctly). Would definitely stay again!Food & drinks: Great buffet breakfast
Maurice: The hotel and the staff are great. I have stayed here over a period of years for visits to Plymouth. The problem is the ongoing lack of staff numbers to man the bar and the kitchen. The bar requires an extra person to look after the dining guests and leave the one staff member to run the bar. The kitchen needs more chefs.
Nilo dG: Great value, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, ample parking, what more can i say!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Lynne Endacott: Lovely hotel. Big rooms. However, very slow service at the bar and restaurant which let's the place down and food mediocre (depending on what you order). Staff friendly though.Rooms: Large. Clean but that is a given.Food & drinks: As I've said, service for both is slow. Need more staff pethaps?
Kerrie Ann: I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful this hotel is. The staff were helpful and courteous and we had a wonderful stay. Will definitely stay again! Thank you.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …More

Crowne Plaza Plymouth, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
A K: Stayed here twice. Both times for business. It was a pleasant stay both times, the staff was warm and welcoming. Always ready to help with any issues or queries.Clean rooms, and the most comfortable beds. And the cherry on top, the views from the breakfast bar.
Sofia Persico: My partner and I were so excited for this one night stay away from the city for a very special occasion for us.Our experience started with being checked-in in an occupied room, which was extremely unpleasant and a dangerous lack of security. The receptionist Gabriela, which was excellent, gave us complementary access to the lounge as apology saying that we would have had snack and pastries 24h, however there were almost no snacks left at 7pm and no pastries at all. I rang the reception-concierge-restaurant (all of them) to ask some information that were not provided in regards to swimming pool opening times, where the breakfast was located and so on, however absolutely no one was picking up the phone. After 10 minutes of wait I had to go myself downstairs to talk to one of the members of the staff. We also went to the swimming pool at 8pm, when sauna and steaming room were closed (the staff told us it would have been opened until 10pm), which we discovered by ourselves, after asking to one of the members of the staff, which was pretty annoyed by our question. Nobody was at the swimming pool's reception, therefore I had to cross the desk to get some towels myself. The next day during the breakfast, one of the waiters came to our table with two pancakes that we did not order, which were for a kid next to us. We then went again to the lounge and there was barely water, no pastries and no snacks at all.I am very disappointed with our experience, this is not a 4-star property; we felt left on our own, with no instructions about venues that we had to discover ourselves and not safe at all. Everything related to our stay went wrong or had an issue, the only nice thing was the room itself, apart from the wardrobe mirror, which was broken.
Daniel Underhill: Brilliant staff. Room dated considering I paid extra to upgrade 🤔Rooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Frank Edwards: Great location, while the view from our room wasn't much to write about. There are fantastic views from the restaurant. The room was comfortable and spacious and the staff were friendly and could not have been more accommodatingRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
keith styles: Having not stayed at the Plaza I can not comment on the service that you provide, however the reception are and ground floor bar I've used waiting to go to Marco Pierre White's restaurant and found it to be very nice. As a local in Plymouth I think the location for the hotel is perfect. A good friend of mine as stayed there a couple of time and commented that it's a lovely hotel.
Jose Conde: I was in March at hotel. Reception lady tried charging me twice the price for two nights. After several complaints she managed to fix it. THen two weeks later I got a fine for parking at outside hotel parking place although I paid at hotel for that. I have been trying to contact the hotel several times (email, phone) but this never gets solved and get no answer
xiaolueng: Noteworthy details: Pools are only available till 8pm if you have kids. This isn't written anywhere so we didn't know about this until we asked. Staff seem uninformed about details like this.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Kevin Mawson: Best hotel so far on this tripRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Philip Sawyer: We use this hotel for the Plymouth Half Marathon as it is yards from the start line making it ideal. It has all the amenities expected from a 4 star hotel. On this occasion we stayed in room 203. There were a few minor issues. A standing lamp didn't work. The door handle to get into the room needs attention. The room is very close to the lifts and gym so don't expect this to be a quiet room. The TV emits a very bright blue LED clock which is rather annoying and finally the gap at the bottom of the door let's in light from the corridor. All that said, our visit was only for one night and the convenience of location outweighs the minor niggles which others may not be bothered by. Overall experience is good though. The restaurant staff were even kind enough to let us in early for the missus to have some toast before they opened prior to the start of the race. A small but welcome gesture. I returned later for the mandatory full English, toast and coffee. Views from the Marco Pierre White restaurant are brill, however, only 1 of the 3 lifts were operating so there was a wait to get to the top floor.
Jonathan Bartlett: The hotel has a great location with a helpful reception team.May 11th...the Breakfast was fantastic. Great selection of food. I travel a lot and this was the best breakfast I have had this yearRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Julie beach: Staff very friendly and helpful: Rooms and beds superb: breakfast excellent with loads of choice: would go again.Rooms: Very clean and comfortable beds: Good size bath and shower over: tea coffee making facilities excellent and replaced daily

Patricia Ogden: Stayed at the hotel 1/5 May inclusive with a U3A group of approximately 30 people from Taunton and the Reading area. The room was spotless, the food excellent and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. All this despite the fact the Grade 2 building is in the middle of major renovations. As we boarded the coach homeward bound our group organiser drew our attention to the sound of a pneumatic drill in the background. The hotel had agreed not to use it during our stay. What wonderful service during what must be a trying time for everyone. I would 100% recommend The Duke of Cornwall Hotel. Thank you one and all for making our stay so memorable.
Lloyd Owen: Food & drinks: Absolute touch having a 24hr bar and sandwiches on our return from a gig. Nice people, breakfast was great. All round nice find 👍Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
kareem Al husari: Do not be deceived by the photos poor customer satisfaction check in is at 3pm check out is 11am £25 charge to extend check out. Meanwhile there are other hotels than accommodate my needs and much cheaper and are rated 4 starsAlso no ACwindows do not open in all roomsAlso very poor showersThe whole building needs refurbishmentReally Poor natural and artificial lightingI paid less at better hotels in third world countries
Anthony Healy: Lovely hotel but old and therefore floorboards creak all night. Staff and food excellentRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Collette Post: Stayed a night there with my mother visiting a friend and see the shops and a shame where it's located is difficult without a car with luggage..The steps are steep for older people and with heavy bags etc. The desk is ok but wasn't told the WiFi code until I went down to ask. Didn't know if the restaurant was open wasn't told.Tea was ok and the nice shortcake biscuits. The bath nice but wish it had a rail and the shower needs a shelf to put the gel on heavy bottle and my mum slipped a bit In the shower it also needs a rail too. Comfortable beds and nice shame about the nightclub but I went to sleep ok. Glad the 34 bus came that we could catch not far up the road. Hotel is handy for the ferries.Walkability: Not very walkable the hotel is difficult for the older/infirm.Noteworthy details: Handy 34 bus running outside to town and back.
Amanda Lucas: Great visit to this hotel, convenient for the ferry. Large rooms, lovely staff. The food in the restaurant was first class., especially the breakfast, the best we've had.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Romantic …More

A very grand building, in a fantastic location and steeped in history. The food and service was also excellent. I will be back again next time I’m in Plymouth.Thank you to all the staff for their attention during my all too brief stay.
