All sorts on the menu,we chose breakfast and it was really well presented recommend the porridge with berries, children's menu available, the service was first class, there are two levels to this building so plenty of tables. The toilets are very clean. You can take a seat and order from your table simple by using the QR code . The building itself is very quirky, it's an historic building and is set in the Barbican quarter of the City of Plymouth. There is a small car park next to the BTP but it is always busy. There is a couple of EV points on this car park.
Intheiranath Subramaniam: Comfort foodRecommended dishes Eggs Royale …More
stephanie wakeford: Nice place, really friendly guy on the till when I ordered. Had a sour dough toastie and chips, toastie was lovely, chips just freezer chips. Loved the sink with glasses to help yourself to water and that you could order via an app although I had to order at the till because you can't make changes on the app- my son is fussy with fillings.Nice options for Vegans which is why we went there as two of group were.Is pretty expensive for what you get but then I suppose that is eating out nowadays. Was a nice, relaxed atmosphere

The Soapbox Children's Theatre: what do users think?
Lydia Paiva: Professional theatre for young audiences. My 4.5yr old has enjoyed them since she was 6 months old.
Katy Marlin: If I could sum up soapbox theatre in two words it would have to be wonderfully magical!I have a 6 year old daughter who gets so nervous and anxious in new surroundings that she often ends up overwhelmed and leaving, but soap box is so lovely and enjoyable that it’s one of very few places my daughter is comfortable and confident enough to enjoy completely. Everyone who run the events and productions are lovely and the guests that attend there are always a wonderful creating a beautiful enjoyable atmosphere. We look forward to coming back soon
Patty Jane: I've been several times with my young daughter. If you haven't been, you must! The shows are great. From 0-100, it's great for everyone. The under 5/family performances are so relaxed. Fantastically put together, immersive and just brilliant. A gorgeous little shop and cafe too. The story stomp is fabulous too! Highly recommend. Nearby is Devonport Park with lovely picnic spots too!
Heather Dighton: A perfect little hidden gem, we've been to the Halloween show, the sensory show the Dino-saw and are booked into Christmas showThese guys are absolutely amazing, they are so interactive, me son is amazed every time we comeYou guys are amazing!
Jessica Robson: Great Viking show, kids were enthralled by the great story telling, amazing props, humour and audience participation. Can't recommend this place enough!
Matt Julian: Lovely afternoon, staff were friendly and fun. The two events I've been to were great for kids and adults alike. Brilliant for their imagination. Highly recommend
Alannah H: This is a place of utter sunshine x so talented and inventive and the location is in a beautiful park
Jonathan Betts: Great place for kids and the staff running it are super friendly and brilliant with the little ones. Highly recommend
Adam Glover: Visited to see the Snow Cat at Yuletide with our children 8 and 5. Performance was in a nice big top/marquee adjacent to the theatre. Was chilly but had wrapped up warm and brought a blanket as advised so were nice and comfortable. Performance was magical, engaging and perfect for the children. Both absolutely loved it and can't wait to head back.
Emma Barron Malone: Such a great performance our son found it so funny as did we. Can't wait to come back to see another show thank you 😊
Colin Lovegrove: Lovingly put together and performed story for children.A Christmas treat
Charlotte McGuinness: We had the most amazing day at the Wild Tribe Festival. A relaxing, magical, creative, safe family event with so many interesting things to see and do. There was a ceilidh, a pirate band, exotic animals, nature themed art and crafts, a campfire, vikings, and circus arts. Just the right balance of activity and relaxation for both adults and children. We couldn't have asked for more and we look forward to the next event!
Claire Weston: Excellent children's theatre in the park. Went last year to see Three Little Pigs (we still sing one of the songs at home) and this year for Red Riding Hood. Absolutely perfect for small people - stories are true to themselves but with the grim bits removed so they're suitable for our precious little people.
Nicky Blewitt: We attended a performance of Little Red Riding Hood at the outdoor theatre at Soapbox whilst on holiday in Plymouth last week. My 3 year old absolutely loved the show and we did too, such a lovely adaptation of the original story, taking out the gruesome parts!! Have already recommended to local family and will look out for future performances next time we’re down.
Charlotte Dooley: As always a great show, my 5yo and 2yo love coming to see the shows.....and I do too!!
Geraldine Lane: Lovely atmosphere; the grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the whole show and, as someone with mobility issues, I was very well catered for.
Nadeem Ali: A fantastic show. Funny, great songs, great acting and great story. Loved joining Little Red Riding Hood on her adventure.
Allyson West: I took my nearly 2 yr old granddaughter to see Red Riding Hood on Saturday 30th July 2022 and she absolutely loved it , tbf so did I . I'm going to be bringing her again nearer Christmas with my little grandson- I'm sure he will love it as much as Tallulah and I did . Thank you Soapbox Children's Theatre...you're all absolutely amazing !! Tallulah particularly like the frog lol . See you all again soon .Kind RegardsAllyson West & Tallulah - Grace
Megan Sheridan: We recently watched Red Riding Hood and it was fantastic! We all loved it. We love the Soapbox and have been attending their shows for years now. The shows are typically small and intimate and Jacqueline and Iain are wonderful. Definitely worth a visit.
Iuliana Cosma: Absolutely lovely! since our first theatre in Soapbox last year, we cannot get enough of it! both me and my little one cannot wait for the next ones!
Mark Yates: This was surprisingly good. Our two grandchildren from Florida enjoyed every moment.
