Robert Miller: AKP has been a learner with Achievement Training throughout 2021 and was a learner with Employment and Progression as an adult learner, she was determined to achieve as well as she could with her English. Being from Rwanda, English was not her first language, in fact her 3rd or 4th language, so it seemed a challenge. AKP after initial assessment was identified as working towards Entry Level 3 English and attended regularly and worked methodically with the supplied revision material and gained in good time the Entry Level 3 English and then progressed to the Level 1 aim and again worked well and attended on a regular basis and followed all advice and guidance and soon achieved the Level1 aim and in September commenced working towards the Level 2 aim which she achieved at the end of 2021, so effectively within a year had progressed her English from entry level to a Functional Skill English at Level 2 and she is considering working towards the Maths aims. Having achieved her English qualifications AKP commented to her tutor I really had an amazing time there. Was always looking forward to coming in for my course. Further comments made are: You have been a great tutor to me, and I was always looking forward to coming in to learn under your supervision and I wanted to tell you this face to face and Emma and the lady who always talked to me, they are all nice and kind.

I couldn't have really asked for more from her she has always replied to me quickly and always marks my work within a few days. She always sends me examples of the assignments and makes sure to fully describe the task at hand. She has really helped me get to where I am with the apprenticeship in a very fast time.

They are very good at teaching different ways; each teacher has their own way of teaching but they are more than willing to help you in your learning style. I have just completed my level 3! I have learnt so much while completing this course and I’m so happy to have enrolled. Jackie my course tutor is amazing, she's helped me so much especially during the start of my course. I was very anxious and have tics and she was so understanding and helped me let my class know. I'm incredibly thankful to be on this course and I'm proud of how much I've achieved so far. The college environment is friendly and inviting, they have different people to talk to and you can make friends more easily which I was happy to find out as I really struggle to talk to new people and grow into my confidence.
