Plymouth Pavilions: what do users think?
Pauline Beale: Good all around view in the theatre, the seats were very uncomfortable ,but didn't put us off the music of Rumours Fleetwood Mac, brilliant.
Paul Mint: Unable to use cash in the venues bars, so didn't get a drink....the security even searched the baby's changing bag to make sure we didn't bring our own.We got a takeaway later that evening with the money we saved :)
Nicola Relf: Beware: you cannot take in a bottle of water. Security checks take a long time, allow 30 minutes extra. £2 cloakroom charge for prohibited items: water, hairspray, perfume
Sue Nodder: Great night out, watched boyzlife and supporting acts 😊
Lesley Wraight: The show was amazing the staff were very helpful
Gill Silva: Really nice place. Loved it.
Mark Woolacott: Went to see Strictly, the Professionals. The Pavilions staff were fantastic, the place was well organised for such events. We had a great evening.
Christine Allen: Enjoyed the show . Air conditioning was on too much , felt cold.
Steve Parker: Concert was amazing. Venue less so. Positives were the staff and how quickly they got you into the venue, and how speedy the service at the bar was. Negatives were the seating and bar prices. Omg (to both). Never have I ever sat on such uncomfortable seats in my life. The upholstery was threadbare with it having worn completely through in places. Also our section didn't seem to be fixed down properly as everytime one of us got up, the section was rocking back and forwards and not in time with the music! However this couldn't detract from what was an amazing concert to see Mike & The Mechanics!
Sharon Gilbert: Great venue, fabulous staff
Phil Dray: Good venue. Use the priority upgrade for a more relaxed experience. Just don't try and stand up - they tell you off!
Stephen Peak: Good venue
Rob Truscott: Went to see Mike and the Mechanics brilliant show hence 5 stars however Pavillions looking tired and the sound system is poor. However they have replaced all the floor level seating which is a small improvement.
Mark Dare: Great concert
chris tew: Excellent venue loved it
Ralph Harvey: Amazing place
Charmaine Welland: Fab show, but most of all staff were so helpful and friendly
Steve Butler: Very good venue but parking difficult when we went (9th may2023) as carpark was building site
Stephen: Shabby venue is a relic from the past with staff who don't do enough to control drunk, feral audience members who ruin the experience for everyone else.

The Duke of Cornwall Hotel: what do users think?
Max Miles: Great hotel great staff lovely experienceRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
Patricia Ogden: Stayed at the hotel 1/5 May inclusive with a U3A group of approximately 30 people from Taunton and the Reading area. The room was spotless, the food excellent and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. All this despite the fact the Grade 2 building is in the middle of major renovations. As we boarded the coach homeward bound our group organiser drew our attention to the sound of a pneumatic drill in the background. The hotel had agreed not to use it during our stay. What wonderful service during what must be a trying time for everyone. I would 100% recommend The Duke of Cornwall Hotel. Thank you one and all for making our stay so memorable.
Lloyd Owen: Food & drinks: Absolute touch having a 24hr bar and sandwiches on our return from a gig. Nice people, breakfast was great. All round nice find 👍Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
kareem Al husari: Do not be deceived by the photos poor customer satisfaction check in is at 3pm check out is 11am £25 charge to extend check out. Meanwhile there are other hotels than accommodate my needs and much cheaper and are rated 4 starsAlso no ACwindows do not open in all roomsAlso very poor showersThe whole building needs refurbishmentReally Poor natural and artificial lightingI paid less at better hotels in third world countries
Anthony Healy: Lovely hotel but old and therefore floorboards creak all night. Staff and food excellentRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Collette Post: Stayed a night there with my mother visiting a friend and see the shops and a shame where it's located is difficult without a car with luggage..The steps are steep for older people and with heavy bags etc. The desk is ok but wasn't told the WiFi code until I went down to ask. Didn't know if the restaurant was open wasn't told.Tea was ok and the nice shortcake biscuits. The bath nice but wish it had a rail and the shower needs a shelf to put the gel on heavy bottle and my mum slipped a bit In the shower it also needs a rail too. Comfortable beds and nice shame about the nightclub but I went to sleep ok. Glad the 34 bus came that we could catch not far up the road. Hotel is handy for the ferries.Walkability: Not very walkable the hotel is difficult for the older/infirm.Noteworthy details: Handy 34 bus running outside to town and back.
Amanda Lucas: Great visit to this hotel, convenient for the ferry. Large rooms, lovely staff. The food in the restaurant was first class., especially the breakfast, the best we've had.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Romantic …More

Jim Barlow: What an excellent place. The staff were so lovely and helpful, especially Louise who was on the front desk the night we checked in. A very grand building, in a fantastic location and steeped in history. The food and service was also excellent. I will be back again next time I’m in Plymouth.Thank you to all the staff for their attention during my all too brief stay.
Patricia Phillips: Just returned from a stay at the Duke of Cornwall.Initially shocked by exterior scaffolding. However, had a wonderful stay there. The staff are extremely courteous , the rooms clean and the food was extremely tasty, varied, and produced at the time expected.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More

The Orangery Garden Cafe & Exclusive Wedding Venue: what do users think?
Vicky Gould-Boam: Lovely venue
Gloria Jelf: Far too expensive one scoop of ice cream did not even cover top of cone three pounds I had honey comb one lump in scoop was served the drags of the containers no wonder they tell you stand other side so you cant see what they are giving you would never return to this shop.
Peter Ranscombe: Great cream tea. Food was good and lovely staff
Pete Longley: Great place, delicious food, friendly staff. Suggest you book a table as it's always busy. Fantastic. 5 star 🌟Another fantastic meal. A special thank you to Zoe , who served us.
Simon Neville: Really relaxing part of the world. You can grab a take away coffee and a nibbly something and take them to the nearby pebbly beach, or you can sit in the beautiful fountain Garden just outside.Prices are reasonable.Quality is good.We are very much looking forward to future visits.Edit July 1st 2023Ida and Kerry were super, even within a marvellous team, these two stood out as being simply marvellous.
Alan Pennie: An enchanting place.
Jason Polson: An amazing venue for a wedding or other celebration. Really helpful and friendly staff.
Dawn G: Only had tea, but food looked lovely. Staff were efficient n friendly. Sitting outside in a beautiful setting was the thing that made it.
Steve Childe: Nice bright airy cafe.
Rob Crocker: The food is great at good prices, every food venue prices have risen recently despite that yesterday we left feeling really happy as the all day breakfast was so good, everything on the plate was fresh and served hot the staff were lovely, and compared to other recent experiences we felt we had really good value. It is still an excellent venue to hire for a private function. At this time of year Mount Edgecome is being prepared for the summer and it is interesting seeing the effort that goes into maintaining this beautiful estate with something for everyone to see or do complete with stunning views over our amazing ocean city.
Where in the world is Wakesea: By far, the very best cream tea in Cornwall !Outstanding x I totally love this placeStaff Outstanding ! Food lush , beautiful settings, and gardens will come back time and time again , Paul
jane g (Jg): It was OK, lovely youngish man served us, very polite, but a rude older woman spoke to him in a horrible way in front of us. Embarrassing and not needed. Food and drink OK, normal cafe food, a bit expensive but not ridiculous. Not a lot of choice and very little atmosphere. Dogs wandering loose as well inside cafe.
Dan Hodgkins: Really good breakfast, highly recommended.
phil dawson: Friendly staff & decent food.
Ben Holtam: Great venue, the staff are amazing and the food is great. Burger was slightly over done but can't fault the rest.
Athena Robinson: Stunning, beautiful, original.Whether you stop for a coffee before your walk or a delicious clotted cream ice cream, or Devon cream tea after exploring the fabulous formal gardens of Mount Edgcumbe you won't be disappointed. You'll be offered great service, food and style, in a film star setting.
Robert Harvey: We visited the Orangery on Sunday 12th March for the Roast Dinner. We have over the years had many Sunday lunches but this was in a class of its own, it was delicious and well presented a credit to the chef.On commenting about the meal, the chef later appeared and informed us about the ingredients and how they were prepared. How about that! The serving staff were friendly and of a high standard. Nothing was too much trouble for them.Well done team
Mike Tozer: Popped over to Mount Egecumbe, one of Plymouth's and Cornwall's best kept walking secrets. Glorious walk to Maker and back. Finished up at the Orangery for a 'light lunch'.Staff delightful, food delicious. Well worth a visit. As 'times are tight' check their website menu for prices. I would put them in the budget range of mid to high. Hence the 4 star rating.
AC Aqua: Disappointed service as the waitress was rude to us. Just an advice to her: learn some good manners and some hospitality skills. They are essential to keep you in the business.
Ian Smitten: Good quality food but lady who served us didn't seem happy! Also acoustics are awful and there is a lot of background noise.
Eskimo JP: Lovely ambience and good gluten free options. However we were queuing up to order food outside for over 15 minutes - the staff were very disorganised and this led to lots of delay unfortunately.
