christine forster: This is the second time we have used Jonny having just done a google search for a local upholsterer and on both occasions he has done an outstanding job.Around 3 years ago he transformed our dining chairs from leather that had started cracking to fabric and still look wonderful.Secondly we popped in to see if he could make me a pair of matching high headboards, picked a material gave him a rough idea of style I was after and that was it. Pictures of chairs and headboard below, both compliment the makeovers I carried out on the rooms. Certainly a skilled craftsman and highly recommend him see for yourself .

stuart appleton: Took my motorcycle seat to JJH yesterday as I found it uncomfortable. The seat was dismantled and an extra 1” of comfort foam was added and the seat put back together. All done within a day and for only £25! It’s made the world of difference. Recommend to anyone

From start to finish, Jonny provided us with advice on the selection of fabrics, actually brought the work forward for us, collecting and delivering at exactly the times stated. The quality of the work is to a very high standard indeed, retaining all of the features, but bringing it up to date with a more modern look and feel and looking like new. Highly recommended to anyone who cannot find anything they like as much as the furniture they have !

Jennifer James: After a flood our sofa had gone mouldy and needed refurbishing; Sebastian has done a super job and it is now as good as new. He also reupholstered a chair and a footstool which again had seen better days but were basically sound - they now look like something you would see in the reading room at a 5-star hotel. To replace all three would have been environmentally unfriendly but also would have cost about twice the price. Very happy indeed with the service including helping us to choose appropriate fabrics, collecting the furniture and returning it after the transformation.

Jamie Ward: I can only comment on the store itself, not an online experience as I did not buy a sofa.I found it to be spacious and easy to look around..There's a sofa there for every budget.I was approached by a sales person on entrance that said " no hard sell here ".After this we were then approached 3 times by various people.I'm glad we had a look around, and they have some beautiful sofas, some really soft squidgy ones and some designer ones.Just wear some trainers so that you can leg it from the sales team quickly .......

Alex Pearson: Avoid at all costs. The staff in the store are so helpful. The customer services and depot are absolutely terrible. I got 2 delivered with the incorrect product. 2 failed deliveries and 3 mo the later I don't have either item I have paid for.I genuinely feel bad for the staff in the store. They must get hammered by customers as the level.of customer service, which is non-exsistant, from the head office is shocking. The depot in Rugby has been terrible.I would say go to dfs.. however dfs own sofology.The overall experience has been the worst I have ever experienced from any item I've ordered before. If you choose to order from here, best of luck because you'll need it.
Mike Mari: The service is unprofessional, l didn't buy on peterborough branch but online. One of my set was said not available after l waited for more than a month without communication. I asked what is they order it and they said the price will go up since l bought on sale. After that l got a delivery, the guys didn't finish assemble the sofa and l called and kept on transfered to so many departments and this has been going on for a week and half. I was told that an expect will come to your house and fix it in four weeks. I said can l.cancel every thing and return your sofas and l have less two week with sofas which are incompletely fitted and they said they don't accept returns. I am very disappointed with the service after paying such a big amount. My advice is don't be fooled with big shops, try other companies. Obviously, they will say send your message to complaint but hey poor response and service

Debra Tolley: Whilst the sofa arrived within the time frame, there have been some issues. Firstly one of the front legs is too short, secondly our oak floor was scratched by the delivery men and thirdly the footstool has indents in the leather where the straps were too tight. This was reported by the delivery team but no contact from sofology. So we emailed, no response, we called, waited in a queue for 45 mins then the wait time went back to 60mins put the phone down and emailed again. No response. So we called the finance company logging an official complaint. Now we got a response, however they had tge cheek to say we hadnt reported the issue within the time frame! We soon corrected his words.Today a technician came out, he only knew about the leg, tried to say he couldn't do anything today, despite us being assured he would fix it tiday, the sofa arm needs to settle he said! I insisted and he try, so he packed the leg to make it level. He's doing a report about the stool and the floor, I asked him to add our dissatisfaction, so this mean more waiting. The customer service is appalling no other word for it! What amazes me is, although I appreciate it isn't his fault not once did he say he's sorry we've had such a poor experience, wish we'd stuck with DFS, we've never had an issue with them and had 3 sofas over the years from them.
marie flatt: Had a great experience from start to finish.. The Sales team in store were friendly and helpful and not too pushy. They was really kind and considerate with all my questions after having a terrible experience at a different sofa company. Had a 12 week wait for sofa but it actually arrived earlier and only took 2 days from when it arrived in store to my home. One deliver the drivers were very friendly and helpful and I am pleased with the Condition and look of my sofa
Tyley Fletcher: unfortunately after a wonderful experience in store it has now been ruined over 3 weeks ago my sofa was due to be delivered however, on the day the driver called to advise he wasn't comfortable delivering it as he had noticed damage on it & would be returning to your depot for inspection & some one would be in touch. 4 days later I heard nothing so I called was told to try again in a couple days which I did an email was sent to the depot & someone would call me then still nothing then next guy told the form hadn't been filled out so he would do that & to call back the following Tuesday. & what a surprise nothing again from the depot. After another week of getting no where I finally spoke to someone who said they would get the furniture delivered & arrange for a tech to come out to inspect once delivery was arranged for Sunday (24th) Brilliant finally got somewhere. Until I had no correspondence to confirm so I called them on sunday morning & was told yes your delivery is booked in driver will be with around midday to then get a call from the driver to ask about my collection ( bearing in mind we still have no sofa & have been sitting on the floor for 3 weeks with a 2 & 4 year old) what collection your delivering my new sofa No we have no sofa for you we have you down for collection!!!!!!!! so another dozen calls of getting no where I have cancelled my order & asked for a refund as they refused to raise me a new order for a replacement as apparently they can't do this but sending out a damaged sofa to a customer before they have even had it is clearly acceptable.Edit (3rd may) still waiting refund after a week and despite chasing I have heard nothing

Ali Pakseresht: Avoid Sofology by all means, do not go near there shops. Worst customer service in the whole UK. Bought a sofa more than 20 weeks ago, on a 14 weeks delivery. I booked a delivery 4 weeks ago 2 days later the cancelled it. Booked it again for today, it had to arrive between 8:00-12:00, its 17:18 and nothing has happened. Called their awful customer service, the lady said it may arrive or it may not!!! I got rid of my old sofa and have guests for tonight!! I’m begging everyone to stay away from these thieves.

Nomad Channel: After sales is extremely unprofessional. After two weeks we had received the dining table and chairs, protective caps under the table legs fell off. They sent wrong size caps and when we mentioned that they were wrong customer service told us that we had to up load more pictures. For a few plastic caps they wanted extra evidences. Totally unacceptable!
Calum Walker: Customer service over the phone is shocking. No one has a clue. Got told nearly two months ago that my sofa will be arriving to the warehouse in the next couple of days and to expect a phone call so we sold ours. But nothing. Then we get told it would arrive end of Jan. nothing, no phone call or anything. I’ve had to chase this constantly. Been told that we have confirmation it will be arriving today 6th Feb and will get a phone call today. But nothing so I call and a different person said it was never coming today and it will be here possible next week but no promises. She was rude and wouldn’t let me speak to a manager and told me there wasn’t a complaints email. They are rude over the phone and all come up with different dates. Apparently managers aren’t responsible for the guys who we call for giving false information and dates so can’t speak to me. I can understand dates changing but when I call this morning and they’ve assured me it will arrive this morning I expect it at worst case tomorrow but to be told it will be middle of next week onwards is disgusting and no one you call wants to help out!

We were at this point approached by Graham Roberts who asked if we wanted any help, which was nice as we were not hassled whilst browsing. Graham was so friendly and very helpful explaining the different types of sofa fibre we could have, colours, fabric etc. we chose what we wanted and Graham then took us quickly and easily through our payment options. The whole process was quick and easy. Would definitely shop in furniture village again and seek out Graham. Thank you so much we have come away very happy. Karen

Peter Kovacs: Sold me a £2000 dining table and chairs. Discovered that one of the chairs was damaged a few weeks after delivery but they are refusing to replace due to elapsed time. However, the velvet/velour nature of the chairs mean that the damage was not easy to see. These guys don’t care about customer service. Don’t use them. I’ll be going through the small claims court.

A nice coffee and cookie to top it off. Selections were plenty with an excellent range right through the price range. We did order a mattress. The whole experience was very pleasant. However only 3 of 4 items were received and have not been contacted by the company - despite leaving a message requesting contact! The phoned me to cancel the delivery a couple of days before as the had no foam.I've been iback twice and phoned twice and still no luck, been promised twice they will get back to me, but they don't phone me back.DO NOT BUY FROM DFS AT THE MOMENT..... Went into Sofology and they don't have a foam shortage.Brilliant service.Not a lot of staff, which is great as they are not all over you when you walk in the door. But tricky when you need one, as they seem to be nowhere to be found, at least when we went in. But then again it was later in the afternoon.It's well laid out, and their prices suit all wallets.We bought from them about 20 years ago and only recently gave the last piece of that furniture away. Really good quality.

This has been very frustrating for my mum and myself. This has been going on for approx 3 weeks and has JUST been resolved today by the manager in the Leicester store. I left and went across the road to Sofology who couldn't have been more helpful, even got coffee and biscuits and ended up buying a lovely sofa with loads of advice from Jax. I won't be going back to DFS again
