Having almost been scammed by Fields Data Recovery (I didn’t send the hard drive in the end because I actually went to the fake London address that was a forwarding address), it took me about 5 years to finally build up the courage to send my hard drive in somewhere.
I ended up finding PC Image through reddit where Sean is an active member and gives advice. I even called and spoke to him and was reassured over the phone that this was a good place to try.
I sent my hard drive in and got all my pictures back for £354 (after VAT). Worth every penny!
Once the files were confirmed, I bought a USB stick on amazon and sent it. They sent it back to me with all my data.
Couldn’t have asked for better service and I now know where I would send any hard drive that breaks… except now I am smart enough to do frequent/automatic backups to the cloud
The guys at PC Image Data Recovery know their stuff.. Sean & Kevin in particular have assisted me on two occasions now. Both times they were able to recover all information from defective or seized hard drives in a timely manner.
This company’,s performance was no less than superb ! I never even imagined that I would ever get a specialist data recovery company to look at a failed old 500GB back up box, AND succeed in recovering 99% of what is for me, priceless pictures, text etc.
Service was friendly (none of the “superiority/elitist attitude), reliable and easily contactable. I could not ask form more. Again, SUPERB !

Two years of self composed and recorded music were the big losses.I had been backing up my Mac but deleted old backups not realising they were incremental back ups.
PC Image to the rescue! To start with, they could not commit to definitely getting a positive result, but thankfully after a few days they called to say a huge recovery had been made.
A huge thanks to all involved. I continue to find word docs and audio files I did not see initially. With the mac search facility I am still finding files that I thought were lost. Such a relief.

Lise Gothard: We have used May's Home for a few years now for beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture and always been extremely happy with products, price and service. We have just used them for new sofas too and all we can say is WOW! Having looked at all the big branded shops (in fact 5 of them) and not finding anything that caught our eye we were over the moon to find exactly what we were looking for in May's Home, comfortable and stylish. The added bonus was the price. We would strongly advise anyone looking for home furniture to pop and see for themselves. Their service and knowledge really is second to none.

Nomad Channel: After sales is extremely unprofessional. After two weeks we had received the dining table and chairs, protective caps under the table legs fell off. They sent wrong size caps and when we mentioned that they were wrong customer service told us that we had to up load more pictures. For a few plastic caps they wanted extra evidences. Totally unacceptable!
Calum Walker: Customer service over the phone is shocking. No one has a clue. Got told nearly two months ago that my sofa will be arriving to the warehouse in the next couple of days and to expect a phone call so we sold ours. But nothing. Then we get told it would arrive end of Jan. nothing, no phone call or anything. I’ve had to chase this constantly. Been told that we have confirmation it will be arriving today 6th Feb and will get a phone call today. But nothing so I call and a different person said it was never coming today and it will be here possible next week but no promises. She was rude and wouldn’t let me speak to a manager and told me there wasn’t a complaints email. They are rude over the phone and all come up with different dates. Apparently managers aren’t responsible for the guys who we call for giving false information and dates so can’t speak to me. I can understand dates changing but when I call this morning and they’ve assured me it will arrive this morning I expect it at worst case tomorrow but to be told it will be middle of next week onwards is disgusting and no one you call wants to help out!

We were at this point approached by Graham Roberts who asked if we wanted any help, which was nice as we were not hassled whilst browsing. Graham was so friendly and very helpful explaining the different types of sofa fibre we could have, colours, fabric etc. we chose what we wanted and Graham then took us quickly and easily through our payment options. Peter Kovacs: Sold me a £2000 dining table and chairs. Discovered that one of the chairs was damaged a few weeks after delivery but they are refusing to replace due to elapsed time. However, the velvet/velour nature of the chairs mean that the damage was not easy to see. These guys don’t care about customer service. Don’t use them. I’ll be going through the small claims court.

However didn’t realise this until unpacking the item. Due to the sink unit being assembled I was therefore unable to return the product. I have contacted ikea and they’re refusing to refund me £180 for the sink unit. Not to mention this has been going on for months as they’re incredibly poor at getting back at messages. So not only do I have no sink and no sink unit, I’m also £180 down. Disgusting, won’t shop at ikea again.STAY AWAY FROM IKEA.
