Simon: Well maintained hotel with nice spa facilities and breakfast buffet for a good price.Rooms: Cheapest of the rooms comes with TV and kettle, hair dryer and iron. Bathroom while small has a very strong shower which I liked. Large window helps it feel it had greater space.Food & drinks: A buffet style breakfast was on offer which has the usual bread/toast bacon egg sausage beans and hash browns for the hot meal side of things, whilst there was also fruit slices, cereal and yogurt with cold drinks on tap. As the food is layed out for lengthy amounts of time it won't beat a freshly cooked meal but that isn't the point as it's a quick and easy breakfast and it wasn't at all busy in the morning.
Canine Sassoon: Amazing

Gienah Ghurab: The rooms in this three-star hotel were not well-maintained and appeared unclean. Additionally, the staff seemed unapproachable and didn't seem to take my complaints seriously. Worst hotel I have stayed in my trip.
Lee Macdonald: Oh my god!! Only stay here if you really cannot afford literally anywhere else in Peterborough or you’re not prepared to sleep in your car! Generally the place as a whole isn’t bad… but the simple fact that they are prepared to rent rooms to people with the most uncomfortable beds with disgusting linen and the worst pillows I’ve ever seen warrants my harsh words. It’s a shame, because they have obviously invested some money in the rooms at some stage to try and resemble something like a premier inn, but to then fail miserably in the very basics that a hotel should provide… a comfortable bed, with fresh clean linen and supportive pillows, also with fresh clean covers… I have informed my company to NEVER book me a room here again!!! Please watch the video…Update in response to your reply to my review… let’s be honest, if you paid close attention to what I wrote and to the video and photo I posted, you would have simply apologised and promised to review your policy on bed linen and pillows. That fact that they were even on the bed in the first place made me feel like I would have been wasting my time complaining! I knew it was only for the week, so I bought my own pillows from tesco and made the best of a bad situation! What was on the bed should never have been used. You know it and you should seriously do something about it.But as I’ve seen older reviews stating the same things and you’ve continued using disgusting linen… why bother complaining? I thought I would just warn other potential customers about what to expect when staying at your hotel.
The network: The hotel is in a good location, its clean. Breakfast was OK. But the one thing that needs to be addressed is the pillows, please address this. It really is not acceptable what your passing off as a pillow.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Faissal Bashir: Booked while returning from Canada . In pictures looks ok plus says 3star but it’s not even near 3 star . Filthy place over all as soon you leave reception area there is smell everywhere . I have booked the room for 9 nights upon check in Being told that room service will be after three days .as soon I entered in room felt like I will go crazy with the smell . Stain everywhere , dust on walls you can see from the door. Hair in shower and as soon tried sitting on mattress felt like I will be on floor as bed and mattress both already passed their expiry years ago . Rushed to reception somehow sorted things out paid them £109 for two nights and took rest of the money back hand over the keys back to them and didn’t even bother staying there for 20 minutes . And those 20 minutes of stay cost me £109 as well as £15 taxi to near by hotel . Avoid big time And I’m going to complaint about this hotel . One star is for the lady at reception that’s the only positive

David Morris: We have stayed in this hotel a few times and we like it. Good location, lots of parking, clean and tidy, decent breakfast and evening meals.Plus points are the friendly reception staff who are welcoming and have a good sense of humour. Charlie and Julia deserve a special mention.Negative marks for the bar though. On every visit the bar is slow. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to serve a large white wine because you can't find a glass. It's also nice if you order a tinned or bottled beer to have it poured for you, not put on the counter to pour yourself, especially at hotel prices. We have mentioned bar problems previously but nothings changed.Overall good, but please improve improve the bar staff service and quality.
Suzette Farrelly: Clean, friendly, and good service. Central for the city near to a beautiful park
Ansir Abbas: Good

Mark Russell: Very impressed with the set up here. I was training for two days so stayed here for the night as well. Reception were very professional on arrival. The team kept all the food and drink coming all day during the training. The room was very comfortable and quiet which meant I got a good nights sleep.Very excellent experience I will be back when in the area again.
Phillip Topping: Well what can I say other than FANTASTIC, from check in to check out the service from all of the staff at the hotel was faultless. We were hosting a Planner event at the hotel and nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they catered to our every need, even the maintenance guy provided me with some screws I'd left at home. The Buckingham suite was great for the event with everything (except a PA system) you could need and the staff were always on hand to help.My partner and I had a lovely spacious family room that was clean and comfy and the robes and slippers were a nice touch andcame in handy for the evening 🤣.The hotel breakfast was plentiful and there was something for everyone and they had several milk alternatives which was great, especially for my partner who is lactose intolerant, I really enjoyed the smoothies and pancake machine and haven't seen these at hotel before.Special mention to Lilley on reception who seemed to be there pretty much 24/7, she was always smiling, welcoming and happy to help and is a credit to the hotel.
MICHAELA Rudd: Overall enjoyed our stay, but we had our breakfast delib9to our room and it was coldRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More

Teige Osborne: Great stay at the Park Inn Raddisson, Peterborough Hotel. Comfy bed and clean room, all staff friendly and approachable, the restaurant onsite has something to suit most tastes. All this is good but what really impressed me was the Manager. Long story short I was rushing for a train and couldn't get a taxi, she said no worries I will take you! she got a colleague to cover reception and dropped me to the train station herself, talk about going over and beyond. Excellent service!
Marc Perris: The conference rooms was clean, tidy and the tea and coffee was well stocked and dinner was very nice and friendly staff too.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

We met this week in one of the meeting rooms and we’re well looked after. The catering was all good quality whether breakfast or lunch options. The room was light and easy to see the screens etc.
Tori Sykes: Stayed here twice the first time was good the second was bad, second stay had a fire, got woken up at 12am because there was a small fire, staff was amazing at there job under pressure. Didn’t sleep well and no discount to anyone that paid for a full night sleep which was ruined, but everyone was staffRooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Amelia Price: my favorite hotel is only here from time to time
Charlotte Tomlin: Great location, 10 mins walk to the station or middle of the city.Rooms were clean and comfy. Shower needs a bit of TLC as the handle to switch it off is very loose. Breakfast....wasn't worth the money and I'm really disappointed. Everything was either over cooked or looked too runny so that really put us off.I would stay here again but definitely not have the breakfast in the morning.
Luke Drewer: I was sitting into the lounge with a superior hang over, getting far too old to be challenging an ex marine to a vodka drink off when I couldn't but over hear the conversation next too me. The lady from the hotel was comforting a guest who was clearly going through a distressing time and had obviously had to deal with some things that no child or young adult should have to deal with or experience. Anyway, the member of staff and the stranger who clearly felt the compassion to help made me feel like these are the people we need in this world, kind and compassionate and she really was a credit to the hotel with how she handled the situation. Plus we were late for breakfast but the staff still made sure we had something to eat, which frankly I needed! Rooms were really nice and staff were so nice, I would stay here anytime I come up to Peterborough. Thank you.
Mo G: Good rooms, quality breakfast and great service from the staff. Hotel is also very clean
Andy Parsons: Stayed here for one night why attending Peterborough Cathedral. We were there for two nights (the second being a pre arranged function) the room was lovely comfortable and warm. The staff were very helpful and professional through our stay. Pub Reviewer-UK: We stopped here as mid way point on our way to Edinburgh, which turns out not to be happening as Covid has hit one of the people we are visiting. It was a great find, the staff were super friendly and welcoming even though we arrived at 12 at night. They let us get a drink just before the bar closed for the night, they had a fairly decent selection considering it’s a holiday inn, or maybe that just a misconception of mine. I had a Goose Island IPA, great little after driving beer. The room was cozy and functional, we had a twin room as it was slightly cheaper, and there was plenty of room for our massive dog bed for Jasper. The charge for having a dog was £25 and they gave us a dog welcome pack, which was a sweet touch. The room was slightly cold but heated up quickly once we put our key card in.The bathroom was again functional and the shower was great, it’s only a little detail but won’t appeal to all, but the loo door doubled up as the bathroom door, slightly hard to explain, but basically you could use the bathroom whilst someone was in the toilet, or you could close the bathroom door to the bedroom and the toilet became part of the bathroom. The beds were comfy, the pillows were a bit hard to my liking but pillows are so individual I find so I can’t find fault with them, ones I don’t like others would love and visa versa. The breakfast which makes up the majority of my photos was amazing, it was a great spread, I though we were only going to get a Bap, instead I had, muffins, a sausage and bacon sandwich and I could have had so much more, my wife had the croissants and said they were very good to. It wasn’t the most amazing butchers sausages but far better than I had expected. The morning staff were as friendly as the night staff, so all in all this was a fantastic experience and if I ever found myself passing and needed to stay somewhere this would be very high on my list of places to put my head down.
Robyn Allwright: Very friendly staff, clean comfortable room. Breakfast was a surprise bonus.

The Master: This hotel, like many “Best Westerns” is an absolute disgrace. Run down, lack of staff and general sense of grot. Avoid at all costs, although you won’t be able to stay here any time soon as it’s yet another from the chain being used by Serco..Be careful if using the nearby Waitrose, the current residents of this hotel have decided that’s also free to them!
Lisa Bland: Lovely hotel close to amenities, only let down was too many stairs
Ward Simpson: Tv didn’t work in the room. They said they would fix it so I went out to meet friends. When I came back mid evening it still didn’t work. I was given a different room. Guess what? Elaine Grogan: DO NOT VISIT THIS HOTEL. The corridors smell of old cigarette smoke and rooms are grubby but that's not the worst. Firstly the car park is ticketed in and out. There is no daily rate for guests so, although the rate for 24hrs is £15 for Mon- Fri and £5 for Sat - Sun, you pay every time you go out so you end up paying much more. We paid £5 for overnight then £1 an hour when we came back in the afternoon then overnight on Sun -Mon we got charged £17. Again, that's not the worst. On arrival, we were told breakfast was from 8am till 10am. On Saturday, we went down and were treated to the most awful, overcooked, dried up full English we have ever encountered. It looked and tasted like it had been cooked the night before and left in an oven. On Sunday, we came down to be told they'd run out of milk so only black tea and coffee was available and cereal would have to be dry. There is a Waitrose 30 seconds walk away from the hotel! I tried waffles that day- they were sugar waffles from a packet. On Monday, we went down at 9.10am to find the place closed. I asked about breakfast and was told it was 7am till 9am on weekdays. When I said we weren't told that, the receptionist said sorry, you should have been. No offer to get us so much as a bowl of cereal. I didn't argue about it because the breakfasts we'd already had weren't worth the effort. This hotel makes Fawlty Towers look 5 star- at least it was clean! This hotel could be so much more with a central location right next to shops and the train station, but lazy disinterested staff and shambolic mismanagement make it an expensive joke of an establishment. We used Tesco Clubcard points to pay for the hotel so didn't pay any physical money - even then, we were overcharged. This hotel doesn't deserve even one star. There really should be a zero star option.

Gillian: The rooms are rather spacious for king size room. It's fairly handy being right across the rd from the train station and also a 2 second walk to Waitrose. 5 minute walk to town centre, which is good. Also next door us the police station.Safety: The stair railing is weak at the bottom of the stairs case, no staff actually mentioned it but it could cause an accident !Noteworthy details: The main entrance is quite cramped with fairly quick revolving doors...be careful !
Maria Leel: I'd love to give this hotel a better review. Sadly I had two badly disturbed nights. The first due to a drunken argument outside my window and the second due to a couple very publicly splitting up at 2am in the corridor outside my room. The key cards sporadically stop working which locked me out of my room twice and the actual hotel once. Also, the bathroom sink blocked on my final morning. However, the staff are lovely and the hotel itself is retains its historic railway charm.
Kimberley: They are so understaffed it's ridiculous, one staff memeber for bookong, working the bar etc, our room wasn't set up and they hadn't put the travel cot up for our toddler and got told they wouldn't be able to put one up till 10pm it wasn't put up till half 10 we travelled two hours to get here and he wanted to sleep. The breakfast was good but a lot of it wasn't available no waffles not vegetarian Sausages for the veggie breakfast. The light in the bathroom was hanging off the beds were extremely uncomfortable. I definitely won't be staying again. The room was pretty but so many faults for the rest of the hotel.
JDM chaz: If I could give this place a negative zero rating I would, absolutely disgraceful place, keep your money and spend it at the local Travelodge or Premier Inn instead, that would feel like the Ritz compared to this place. I paid good money for a room for the night which was dirty and rundown and not worth the £80ish pounds paid, long wait at breakfast for food and then the bread was stale for my apparently freshly made sandwich, this was run by a man who I then discovered was the manager.Thankfully for us there were good food places to eat across the road, so for lunch and evening meals we chose to eat at the city centre. The car park and grounds are absolutely full of rats, they are not at all scared of humans and will just come right up to you. These are not small rats either! At night it is like being in a horror film they are absolutely everywhere outside the hotel in the grounds and car parks and right outside the doors. The outside area is very unkempt and due to being dirty with glasses and old food left out, is even more an attraction for the homeless and the rats. There seems to be very poor management here, I think this once beautiful hotel could do with a whole new refresh of management and staff. Embarassment to the Best Western brand.

Pearl Hotel: what do users think?
Prianka Mistry: Check in was very easy and quick and receptionist was very friendly. The room was very small but still have good facilities with the water bottle, nice shower(but water was not that hot), breakfast in bed and other things. The walls were very thin and everything could be heard from the other rooms and if people are walking past, which is not very nice. But on check out I had requested in advance that I wanted to check out later and they did not inform me on a charge and said that it was fine. I then received a call at around 11:30 saying that check out is at 11 and I told her that I requested a late check and the lady was very rude. I told her that we have an email saying that last check out was fine and she started laughing and very rudely ended the call. She also wanted proof of the email and said that no one responds to the emails and basically called me a liar and when I went down to give the keys back, she did not ask anything and was still very rude. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone, especially with that kind of rudeness however all the other staff were great and very helpful.
Stuart Kempster: Comfortable rooms, friendly service, interesting idea of breakfast in bed but the knocking on the rooms starting at 06:00 is very disturbing if you’re hoping to stay asleep until later.
Magdalena Meg Garczynska: Haven't been in the hotel but restaurant next to it is great really amazing turkish and moroccan dishes great service and great for meal out
European Cycling Tours: For some reason thought I was checking into a 4**** hotel (seen online)... This is not a 4**** hotel!I would not even class this as a hotel - more a restaurant with rooms, although the restaurant is actually a separate business. No breakfast room so breakfast is delivered to your room - works for some, not for me.Rooms are okay but far too much laminate flooring through the building (rooms/corridors). Large old building so noise travels through the floors. The owners should remove any/all references to 4**** and luxury as it is misleading. 3*** at best.
Stella Hammond: A room was booked, payment was taken the next day when i was assured it wouldn't be taken till day of booking in!!!Due too unforseen circumstances the booking had to be cancelled 5 days prior and i am still waiting for a refund!!!!! Been in touch several times to request my refund and speak to the Manager. Very unhelpful staff and still waiting for my refund and to speak to the Manager. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, absolutely disgusting customer services!!!!!!!!!!
MR MUDHAFAR YACOUB AL-HIWIDI: This is one of the best places I have seen so far in the UK. It is indeed a pearl. I was lucky this time round to land in this place. The room was so big with a sitting corner sofa, a king sized bed with large bathroom/toilet with all the necessary toiletries available. The shower cubicle was twice the larger than average and the reception staff were so helpful and professional. The big bonus is the high quality food presented at the restaurant with two chefs a Turkish and a Moroccan ones. Room service is top quality. Highly recommended no doubt.
Vera Ioniță: Great Hotel, with a normal price,I love it

Khawar Hashmi: When I phoned to book, was told that all rooms looked like the pics on the website. The roo. Was small for 2 people, although the ensuite was great. Breakfast was very limited, although we did not get any cause, we missed the small print which said, that we had to order the toast and egg, before 10pm the night before.Overall, not somewhere I'd book again.
David Wilkinson: Ideally situated for all amenities, 10 minute walk from Train Station.Amazing spacius room, helpful staff, restaurant next door has wonderful food.Walkability: 5 minutes from New Theatre, 10 minutes to Train station and Town centre
MrOkMahn: The cleaning guy wearing white/gray/black stripped sweater came into my room when I went down to collect my breakfast. My wife was changing in the room and she was horrified to see a stranger open the door. When I came back, she told me of this and I walked up to the cleaner and asked him why he had done that. He said “I just put my head through the door I didn’t go in”. I said it doesn’t matter if you didn’t go in you still put your head through the door when I wasn’t around and my wife was changing, she is very upset that you have done that. He said “I saw you go down so I thought let me check your room”. I told him the checkout time is at 11am it is still 10am, I am clearly not carrying any bags with me and I am not dressed up so I wasn’t checking out so why did you peep into my room?!!!”. He said sorry. I called the reception and reported the matter. The receptionist wasn’t receptive and rather responded in a non-emptathic way. We are never going back to Pearl Hotel again!
