Max Hill: Garden is beautiful. Great for drinks in summer. Food is average, standard pub grub and not unreasonable pricing. Just wish the decor had a revamp, they put on more entertainment, played music in the garden and advertised a bit more. The place has so much potential, just doesn’t seem the management really want to pull in the custom. Could be wonderful, just seems like not much effort goes into it. Bit of a revamp, maybe get sky sports and some tv’s in the bar area/ garden so the football/sport can be shown, music playing in garden, make use of the bbq area they have outside but never seem to open and the place could be thriving. Could be the perfect local establishment for the residents of the westone/headlands area but just needs a small amount of money investing and a bit of effort putting into the place
Angela Condon: Went to ABBA tribute DEC 4TH 2021 What a joke pay different price for tickets for table of 8 to get there to find it a free for all for tables got no right to charge different prices when everyone is getting the same thing and then also apparently 200 people in attendance having to share 2 unclean toilet 🚻 WILL NOT BE DOiNG ANOTHER TRIBUTE NIGHT 🤔
Caz Walters: Was looking forward to the roast dinner, which I had, but was not at it was before lockdown. The portion size hadn't changed but the meal has as it was like having an "Aunty Bessie" meal out. Previously the roast dinner was thoroughly enjoyable with the Yorkshire pudding being an individual large size and the roast potatoes crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle.The service wasn't great either. I don't think they were staffed up enough for the amount of custom they were receiving. It's a shame as it used to be somewhere we looked forward to going. Hopefully they can turn things around soon.

Jo Luck: Dinner was OK but dessert of chocolate fudge cake very dry. No cream or ice cream offerred. Didn't like that they scraped the plates at the table! Also same drinks but different prices each time. Entertainment good but the room not suitable. Not enough tables and chairs or lighting.

After returning for the 1st time since lockdown, on arrival we were told that we couldn't use the room we have used for the past 12 years as it was set up for another user during the day and tables and chairs couldn't be moved or the whole room would require a deep clean! Our instructor was given no notice of this change of a room which he pays to hire!!

Blue Bull: Every single time I've phoned up this surgery, it's always ended in pointless arguments with the rude receptionist that works there. The receptionist never lets you speak, rants and then just hangs up on you. I've tried multiple approaches to be polite and get the receptionist to book a triage appointment and none of them have worked.

For a simple repeat prescription and then you fight to get an appointment same day at a decent hour of the day - I’m 58yrs and walk there and back financial restraints! Recently needed meds for PTSD told to ring back tomorrow morning and try again! System is messed up totally by ruddy red tape! Online system down and can’t even get a 5 min call from a dr to do telephone review!

I am desperate for an appointment due to constant and severe pain which is limiting my activities. Also I need my medication exemption certificate renewing…… HELP
immy sterling: I’d give it less than 1 if I could. When I was around 16 I went to the doctors in excruciating pain and explained how I’m unable to do any activities or even sleep because the pain was so bad. I was adamant that it was sciatica due to a fall that had happened. Despite showing all the symptoms the male doctor laughed in my face, I literally mean laugh. He told me I’m “too young to have sciatica” and told me to go and lift weights at the gym. Me being young and naive I listened, yep you guessed it my back went in the gym leaving me bed bound for a few days. I had to keep pushing to eventually get referred to physio. My question is, how can you just throw medication at someone and refer them to physio without any type of scan? Surely that is dangerous and could potentially aggravate the problem more. Which it did, physio would leave me bed bound for a couple days after.This experience has put me off ever going to the doctors. It’s not the first time this doctor has shamed me, I have a few health problems and I dismiss them now due to this joke of a place. Not to mention I found my own mother dead a few months ago because no one listens at this s**t excuse of a doctors surgery. All of you that have had good experiences are very lucky, it’s a miracle how anyone has anything good to say about this joke of a place.Don’t even get me stared on the reception, maybe start with hiring people who actually have empathy. As someone who works in healthcare this place needs a whole new system, it’s absolutely appalling.
andy cassidy: It has taken me over 2 weeks to get an appointment and only if I take a day off work and wait for a ‘maybe’ if you ring on the day. They used to be much easier to see before bloody Covid and lockdown. However the staff and service are excellent.

Receptionist called clare kept repeating that I had missed a call and spoke to me as if I had committed a crime. Vert bad towards patients and rude receptionists . Tren Ace: Has to be the worst surgery every, it is almost impossible to book an appointment with them and reception staff are just rude, they often just hung up on you.. I was trying to get an appointment since coronavirus, they refused every time. I had to go private and spend several thousands, doctor said that with my condition I would need blood tests once or twice a year, and tried to contact my GP to advise this, so they can book it in, receptionists just hung up on the doctor. Doctor then wrote a letter to my GP, they ignored it. I am trying to make an appointment to speak to a GP to see if blood tests can be arranged. They never book me in, saying that this is not urgent and they will not book me in, as they only have "same day appointments", but there is no way for me to speak to a GP because they wont book you in advance, only have same day appointments and apparently routine visits etc.. are not part of it. Absolutely bizzare

If your in the building already and need to query something . They asked me to stand in the rain amd call them from outside so im still in a que. Goodluck waiting for any letter. Goodluck getting to speak to a doctor who knows what they're doing. I feel sorry for vulnerable people and people who are ill and dont know their rights. They need a safeguarding. In fact I think it’s been very good for me actually only one receptionist that it hard to get past the rest are very helpful Once again had a problem today July 12th doctors and staff excellent thank you Leicester terrace health care centre glad to know you are there when needed David Manning 👍👏🏻Had a doctor came to see me yesterday 5th September 2022 a doctor Ayesha Suleman she was very nice and helpful and very pleasant very efficient please come again Dr Suleman 👍
granny0v: Iv been on the phone nearly an hour, it says im 20 in the qu and goes down to 17 and back to 20 , personally i think this gp would benefit from asking their patients how effevtive the gp is , i think this gp needs to make some changes and open reviews , opinions could help them find out whats working and what isnt , most of the gps now are walk ins and this gp is still stuck in old ways . This gp nerds to learn to make changes , to benefit the flow ,

John Bolt: The barmaid was excellent and helped out as much as she could no fault in anything she did.Now for why the 1 star, the food turned up and when tasting it there was very luke warm veg the Yorkshire was cold and the meat was not great for instance my little girls meat was stone cold this was totally unexseptable they did replace it as they should, but we had five meals in total and nearly all the food was cold and my wife did not even eat hers as it was no were near eatable.The manager came over twice, and there were no real appolgies from him and not even an attempt to reconsile anything such as free desert or money back so badly. I would not recommend eating here at all.

Julie Kendrick-Finn: Popped in to The Elephant for a glass of something! After several hours doing some early Christmas shopping. The pub is nicely set out and has a warm cozy feel about it even though it is spacious, which is ideal for anyone with wheels. The bar staff are welcoming and friendly and it was a nice touch to see they had Mulled Wine on the go, it warmed us up a treat. Although we were not dining on this visit I did browse the menu and was pleasantly surprised at the good variety of vegetarian and vegan options, good to know as I have many friends and family that this will suit and I'm not adverse to meat free meals in my attempt to eat healthier. The prices were very reasonable and as I live quite local I'll be trying this out quite soon. If you are into sports then this is most definitely a good place to chill with friends. There are more than enough screens for everyone, so no matter where you are seated, you'll have a good view. There is a nice covered patio garden that I have whiled away several hours in this year with friends. And the toilets are amazingly clean for such a busy popular pub. All in all it is a lovely venue, especially on a cold wet afternoon after the trauma of shopping!!

Julie Kendrick-Finn: Only found this cafe a couple of months ago. It's nice to get good old fashioned coffee that is actually hot! nice tasting as well and at a sensible price. Forget your well known High Street coffee shops (mentioning no names) Little gems like this are great finds. Yes it is tiny (only 3 tables inside) but there is also outside seating and the staff are friendly and hands-on helpful for anyone wishing to visit with wheels. They will grab their ramp and help you in anyway they can. They also carry a reasonable amount of vegan cakes great for vegans and people like me who have to avoid dairy. I could waffle on for ages about the cozy atmosphere etc... visit for yourself, by the end of your visit you will feel like you've been around to a friends house for coffee!

olivia bayliss: i’ve been here a few times now and it was delicious like always. the starters are always so yummy. the only thing that was not as good was that my brother didn’t get his drink for a long time and therefore didn’t have a drink to wash down his meal. there is an outstanding quantity of rice that comes with the platters and we couldn’t finish it all, however the meat is succulent, flavourful and juicy to make up for it.

I'm sorry but I was very disappointed 😞 From the waitresses that were wearing very tight, revealing leggings, with crop tops, to the mediocre food. It was all a massive let down. They say they bring salad and bread for free. There was a small platter of salad for 5 people to share. All the Turkish restaurants I've been to-and there are plenty- they give you a big platter of salad with complementary hummus and tzatziki. Most of our party was OK with the portion sizes but me and my husband had the pescatarian option with monkfish-which was overcooked and chewy- and prawns with a baby cotn, 2 asparagus, one mangetout and overcooked brocoli. Chips were decent, but tasted some rice from my friend- which had nothing to do with Turkish cuisine. Then the toilets- the coat hanger had loose screws and was wonky,the ceiling painted messy, toilet wouldn't flush, sink was wobbly. Oh and the tables are so close! We had a bigger group next to us with screaming kids. Not coming back ever again.Overpriced and complete let down.
Lawrence James: Most delicious Turkish food I’ve had in Northampton. My partner and I tried this place for the first time a few weeks for date night and were so impressed that tonight we ordered take away from there. The food is absolutely stunning. Nice clean flavours, beautifully tender meat and generous portions. The fact they give you complimentary bread and dips, as well as salad is a nice touch. Highly recommend 👌

Karina Homa: Terrible service, so rude. The Turkish girl who was the waitress with long fake lashes was sarcastic since we opened the door of the restaurant. She did roll her eyes when I said I have reservation like she wouldn't believe. We weren't asked for drinks for 20 minutes, what a shame, I invited my mother for a dinner and had to leave. The girls were completely ignorant when I said I was waiting 20 min to order and still didn't come tot ake the order. Not sure if this was rasist move as it seemed other guests were served on time.
The Mighty One: Came here on a Sunday to see what all the hype was about from the Northampton Chronicle. It was pretty empty so got seated quickly. Inital reaction to the place was ok - seems to be in a bit of a transition (wondered if it was a chinese restaurant in the past) didn't see many ottoman related wall decorations. Found the christmas lights a little guady (and it's March mind you).The food was great, some of the best turksih food we have had in northampton and in Istanbul (my partner is Turkish) so thumbs up there. They also had high chairs available.So in all food 5/5! Would definately come back - big portions or the price. The price is comparable to the other Turkish restaurants in the area.The Ambience 3/5 - pretty average nothing screams Turkey when you enter. Lots of oppotunity to capitalise on that, even some ottman music would help (in the background).Cleaniness of the facilities - 2/5 - restrooms were pretty dire. Understand that there was only one person doing the waiting, gretting etc, but more attention probably needs to be spent on these factors. A little concerned that the kitchen has no air block to the toilets and they are right next to each other. Maybe some sort of plastic screen or something over the counter would work.In all would visit again.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available.Parking: Parking is cheaper than town centre, and plenty free parking on the side streets which is a plusWheelchair accessibility: Not any steps that i could see, easy to access, and the host has visability of the front door to assistDietary restrictions: Available and says so as you entre the building

Ruud: When a simple egg fried rice is really good you know it's a good Chinese. Friendly service, reasonable prices and a good menu.Wheelchair accessibility: There is one large step to get in and a tight hallway to navigate. According to one of the employees they didn't have a ramp.
Alistair Cochran: This was a firm favourite before we moved to Scotland - the food was lovely and teh staff friendly and attentive - a pity we can't get a delivery from them!
J J Wiggins: Go to Chinese takeaway for us. Never greasy, always perfectly prepared with bite of the vegetables and delicious sauces. Service is prompt and often ready before expected, never late. Absolutely lovely vegetarian set menu for two with delicious vegan chicken, this is a go to option for us for vegan Chinese. A must.Vegetarian options: Go for the vegetarian set menu. You can opt to swop dishes for a £1 charge.
