Jason Belcher: Very willing to share all his coffee bean knowledge with a complete rookie to the game. Spoke at great length and answered all my questions. Picked up some of the home brew "Continental" beans and they are smooth as silk, exactly as described. Nothing kept on the premises past a month old and roasted on site!

matt waterfield: Excellent coffee and great staff. Have been going to this shop for over 20 years. It has changed ownership a number of times, but Tony has run it throughout. Tony roasts the coffee beans on site so you know they are always freshly roasted, none of this sealed in a bag and put on a shelf for months. They do a good range of coffee beans with something for everyone. They are so good that even though we moved up to North Yorkshire we still order monthly from them. Have only ever found one other supplier that comes close and they charge nearly double. I recommend Blenders (Cardew & Co) without reservation.Tony, keep up the good work
Sheila Kirwan: Excellent coffee and even better service. Always willing to advise about the best coffee for different machines and tastes. Tony has also got a nice little selection of tea and coffee storage tins which make wonderful presents when filled with freshly roasted beans.

Phil Williams: Recently saw that advert with Anthony Joshua saying 'support your local business'. Well, ran out of coffee (and to be honest I need coffee!) though no one in the family is currently permitted to go out. Called Tony and he personally ensured I got the coffee that day. Not only is this brilliant coffee, though I consider it really good value for money, WITH excellent customer service. So - give it a go and I really dont think you will go back to your Whittards, or Taylors.
Darren Sidney: I've always paid a high price for coffee from High Street brands but since lockdown I have bought a decent Sage coffee machine. Using supermarket beans was okay but once you try freshly roasted beans from this place you will never go back. I don't even bother with Costa or the others any more as the coffee from these beans is another level. if you like a strong tasting coffee the Italian roast is incredible. Tony is great and will recommend different beans depending on your taste. Great little store that more people need to buy from. I rarely used to visit town centre but now I make a special journey every couple of weeks to make sure I have the freshest beans available.

The Mighty One: Reasonably priced. Located on the ground floor of the grosvenor centre (the other side from boots). Was a bit skeptical at first because the little bubbles kind of look like frog spawn, but gave it a try with the kids.We chose the mango and lychee flavours, happily surprised when biting into the bubbles they have a flavour inside of them which was really entertaining for the kids.A little watch out, we got the less sugary one and it was still super sweet, so next time we are going for the no sugar option.Would totally treat them to it again.Vegetarian options: All are vegi I think and the bubbles are made of tapicoca not geletine.Kid-friendliness: Menu at kids eyes level and also have smaller cupsWheelchair accessibility: On the ground floor so easily accessable and they take credit card

Osma Khan: Very disappointed today we were looking looking forward to our crème brûlée drink there was a customer before us who had the same and her drink looked amazing but the girl who I think was American took our order and made those drinks it was awful she put the wrong lid on them and when we started to drink it the actual cream at the top was already melted throughout the whole drink there was a crunch to the sugar hardly no tapioca in both of the drinks clearly the girl didn’t put any effort in both of the drinks at all and we payed £13.44p for them this is my first complaint the crunch to the drinks put us both off we ended up binning them my daughter did want to go back but I didn’t want to create a scene perhaps you want to employ people what know what they are doing and not waste our money we had to repeat ourselves over and over to her to take our order🙄 she didn’t even ask us if we wanted ice in the drinks she just added the ice in🤷♀️

Julie Kendrick-Finn: Only found this cafe a couple of months ago. It's nice to get good old fashioned coffee that is actually hot! nice tasting as well and at a sensible price. Forget your well known High Street coffee shops (mentioning no names) Little gems like this are great finds. Yes it is tiny (only 3 tables inside) but there is also outside seating and the staff are friendly and hands-on helpful for anyone wishing to visit with wheels. They will grab their ramp and help you in anyway they can. They also carry a reasonable amount of vegan cakes great for vegans and people like me who have to avoid dairy. I could waffle on for ages about the cozy atmosphere etc... visit for yourself, by the end of your visit you will feel like you've been around to a friends house for coffee!

Jim Bob: I grew up near here, but moved away 20 years ago. So, on a recent visit back home I popped in with my uncle for bite to eat. We decided on a couple of all-day breakfasts and were not disappointed. Good food and the staff were lovely too. Tracy Spence: Popped in on the off-chance and was delighted with what we found.A small (intimate) place that was clean (they sanitised tables and chairs often) and tidy, and instantly welcoming.Ordered sandwiches and drinks for four people, which were reasonably priced, and served with a smile.The "vibe" was nice, with pleasant and not overbearing background music. The decor was "construction" based with tables made of scaffolding.The service excellent.The food tasty.Would go again.

Lisa Walsh: My preferred coffee is a Flat White because of its size and lack of foam.I paid £3.00 for a takeaway.When it was handed to me I presumed that the cup was well insulated because it didn't need an additional cup holder.The coffee tasted ok but there was at least a cm of foam and it was immediately drinkable, just over warm.I'm so annoyed at so called Baristas who make every coffee exactly the same.I won't be wasting any more money here.

Long Purple hair: I don’t know whether this place is still open. It is a hidden gem of Northampton. Step into a world of fantasy. It’s so cozy and the detail inside is absolutely delightful. Friendly staff. The food is beautiful. Love how the food was decorated and displayed. I bought cappuccino and had a mozzarella pesto sandwich, it came with salad and crisps. Good portions, very filling. The sandwich displayed in a basket like in red riding hood and an apple. The cafe interior is like escaping into one of Harry Potter books. Floating candles, jack and the beanstalk, Cinderella's shoe, careful you might end up in my novel sign. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Good value for money. I will definitely be coming here again. And there's parking outside. Don't forget to buy a ticket. I always find eating in a big city, can be intimidating and deciding where to go hard. If you love reading, this place is a great place to go and you'll fit in. It's retro and cool. Everyone please make sure you give the Magic Bean Emporium a chance. For someone like me who lives outside Northampton, this place is a real asset to Northampton. Keep up the great work!
Phil Halson: This coffee shop is downstairs at Northampton railway station (AKA Castle station). It was previously located on St Giles Street. At time of my visit it had only just opened in its new location, so expect things to get even better. The coffee is fantastic, and I suspect all the other drinks are too.

Noor Rhijnsburger: Overpriced, bland and soggy toasted sandwich (£5.95 including a bag of crisps we did not ask for). No toilet. We could use the toilet of the kind neighbors (Bread and Butter) and felt sad we didn't just go there for lunch, much better options and cosier.

Nothing bad, but disappointing given the hype.
