Dr J B Pope - Moulton Surgery: what do users think?
Faye Dillon
Faye Dillon: Amazing! I rang in a complete state and within 2 hrs I had a call putting me at absolute ease and advice I needed and even rang back later to check on me!!! Wow
HaZeY
HaZeY: Been struggeling to get an appointment for over 5 weeks now, Had to see a nurse my first time who didn't have a clue what was going on. She even said I needed to see a doctor & that I had to phone back up and book another appointment. So I rang again and attempted to book another appointment. The only appointment they would give me is over the phone with a doctor the next day. I was told he would call me at some point.............. He rang at 1730 the following day & the call was over in minutes. Tablets where given which have done nothing after a week of taking ( tablets now finished) . I've called back again today & now i'm being told they have nothing until next week. I'm struggeling with my chest & have been for 5 weeks now & nothing is getting done. Avoid this place.
Liz Murray-Knibb
Liz Murray-Knibb: Worst doctors surgery in the UK!! Can't get an appointment when you need one! No emergency appointments ever, apparently!
Shaun Finbarr Swann
Shaun Finbarr Swann: Don't understand the bad reviews. Nice welcoming doctors and easy to make appointments.
Stan Walker
Stan Walker: Cannot get anywhere to re order prescriptions

The Pines Surgery: what do users think?
Sam Davies
Sam Davies: Rude, unhelpful, patronising, the absolute worst, when you actually see a doctor in the flesh they’re ok, but apart from that shocking
Rosalyn Shane
Rosalyn Shane: I can’t believe that we still have to jump through hoops to see a GP. Everything is done via receptionist who are doing a difficult job very well relaying info on why you want an appointment sending photos if applicable and still no contact with a doctor just prescriptions sent to pharmacist, and then sending a prescription I have been allergic to for over 60 years 🤷🏻‍♀️
Dreaddlock
Dreaddlock: The pines where Angela the receptionist ends calls, after telling somebody struggling with mental health problem “there’s no need to be like that” after being told they feel suicidal and she’s making them anxious.. Having a partner who’s a nurse and knowing how caring she is it’s quite a step down to where this persons care for patients is….Angela - the only Angela apparently..Many thanks for care and understanding of mental health problems, you’re a real pro ‘the only Angela’ 👌🏻
adnan “gani” Kolgjini
adnan “gani” Kolgjini: Worst GP surgery ever came across,Have got some serious symptoms with my face tongue and lips being numbed all day I called them and said can we see you Monday and not even advising me to go to A&E as this is not normal,They never help or hardly call back 😒 been with them 2 years and once or twice I called to be seen just making excuses for not to see you ,Pure joke.
Vince Bloyce
Vince Bloyce: I have been a patient at this surgery since moving to the area about 10 years ago. I'm quite fortunate in the sense that I haven't had to make many visits but every time I have they've been spot on. My little one is nearly 5 and has visited a few times and they have always been incredible when he's been concerned. Just before Christmas we thought he had an ear infection, within 1 hour of a phone call we had antibiotics in hand. That level of service is just outstanding. On my most recent visit I spent some time observing the receptionist because she is just amazing. So efficient and helpful. A real credit to the surgery! I'm not sure if I'm just incredibly lucky or if some of the negative reviews are a result of people's expectations but I think this is a wonderful surgery. Always clean and tidy too which is really impressive considering the age of the building.
Alice M
Alice M: My one year old developed some worrying symptoms at 6.00pm the evening before Christmas Eve. Called the surgery on the off chance they were still open. Not only did they manage to squeeze us in for a face-to-face appointment, whilst we were in the appointment they checked with the pharmacy to make sure the type of antibiotics they were prescribing were in stock, and made sure we got them before they closed for Christmas. Both the doctor and receptionist went above and beyond, and their approach meant we didn’t spend Christmas in hospital. So appreciative of this doctor’s surgery!
David Perrin
David Perrin: Have been a patient here for about 30 years with no real problems. Doctors, nurses and staff always helpful and friendly. Sometimes the phones are very busy but surely you can't be surprised by that!.
Caroline De Frates
Caroline De Frates: I have only positive things to say about this surgery. They have seen me quite a few times quickly and are always extremely helpful. The staff are friendly and kind, and have always been extremely patient when my children have attended appointments there as well.
Gary Tucker
Gary Tucker: This surgery is a joke. Still playing the covid and staff shortage excuses. Its time this surgery starts to live with covid and get their doctor's backsides behind desks again and do the job they are paid ro do. Absolute disgrace and thir name is getting worse by the day.
Curtis UK
Curtis UK: Absolutely useless! If I could possibly change doctors surgery I would, as would all my family. You can NEVER get an appointment. They are still hiding behind COVID restrictions. Rely on video appointments which are USELESS. Staff are disinterested and demotivated. I could go on and on. Do not register here.
PETER ROBINSON
PETER ROBINSON: I am surprised this surgery receives 2 stars.Medical problems meant that we were unable to go on a recent trip to the Netherlands. I made enquiries over a week ago to get a doctor's note.No acknowledgement! No reply! I am still waiting.I have read the numerous negative reviews received by this surgery.Shame on the Pines!Shame I have to give you 1 star.Shame that your patients can't come to the surgery which I belong to.
Karen Smith
Karen Smith: So far rubbishLeft my old surgery as I've been refused to see a doctor for nearly 2 years. I have a number of quite serious health issues. And I went into the surgery today to make an appointment. Receptionist took Mt name D.O.B and said doctor would ring me. Within 2 min a nurse rang me asked why I wanted to see a doctor. I gave her some of my symptoms.and said I felt really ill.but she just asked if that was all? I explained again that I felt very ill and worried. And she didn't seem at all compassionate or bothered that I was stressed and worried. All she said was the doctor will ring me?The thing is how many people is this happening to? And how many people are dying or have serious ollnesses
Shannon Egerton
Shannon Egerton: Worst service i have ever received in my life. Ive been fighting for a doctor to take me seriously since November 2020 with extreme back ache! And only reason it's getting anywhere is because I've pushed for MRIs etc no help what so ever by the doctors. Between snotty receptionist staff and poor health care provided I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Absolutely disgusting practice.
Andrew Thomson
Andrew Thomson: 3 jabs mask and plexiglass and thay are still scared to do there job
Alice Morgan
Alice Morgan: Fantastic surgery, all the staff are so kind and understanding. I feel that my opinion and instinct is taken seriously in both my own and my toddlers care. Yes, you may have to wait in a queue on the phone at times, you may not be able to get an appointment with a particular doctor immediately, but that just is not the world we live in any more. The team at The Pines offer a fantastic service despite the pressures all surgeries are under
David Norman
David Norman: Lucky they even got 1 star. My little boy is very unwell with a suspected chest infection. Conjunctivitis and had blood come from his nose. The surgery said they would call back. My partner hadto then call back 3 hrs later. They put it down to short staff. I'm sorry but u don't ignore a small child. Surely priority. This isn't the 1st time the staff at that place have been useless. They have messed up my partners prescriptions. Forgot to call her back with info they promised to pass on. Prescribed her the wrong medication. Security forgot to make notes of a phone call My partner made. I could go on. That lot belong in a circus. A danger to the public also
Michael Bennett
Michael Bennett: A pleasant surprise after being dumped without warning from St Lukes because I had moved home,The Pines receptionist was very helpful and sorted my problem calmly and immediately.
Cindy Cave
Cindy Cave: not to bad at all thanks again!
Laura Hopkins
Laura Hopkins: I have been a patient for 4 weeks. Cannot access online services after multiple forms being filled out and I've missed medications as they won't be dispensed to me. Needed some advice today and was able to get a telephone call back...I rang at 09.30 and was assured due to what I needed help for I was to be called back within an hour. Its now 17.15 and over 340 attempts to call the surgery. No updates nothing. Cannot get through. Absolute disgrace.
Ioana Marin
Ioana Marin: I have been calling and waiting to be attended on thr line for the last hour - no one is answering
Mrs A
Mrs A: Terrible doctors surgery!! They never answer there phone myself and my husband have been a patient for two months and we are going to leave. We had a very rude receptionist answer the phone she started shouting her name began with P. She was shouting at my husband this is terrible customer service!!!!!!!

The Mounts Medical Centre: what do users think?
Sergios Akhileus
Sergios Akhileus: they work very badly... you call them, go in person and in the end you get the wrong things anyway...
Carole Briggs
Carole Briggs: Helpful staff and caring Doctors
leeluchan
leeluchan: First receptionist cut me off, I called back and the receptionist was rude/abrupt. Everyone can have a bad day but no one is calling a doctor’s surgery for fun. Compassion seems to be dead
Vicky Byrne
Vicky Byrne: Can never get a face to face appointment, was booking a few appointments at the same time one for me and one each for my children ( all different reasons) but the receptionist ended only booking two, so I turned up to the appointment and there wasn't one, then to book and was booked on a day I couldn't make due to work.
jackoutube
jackoutube: Rude! Took me 67 calls then 37mins on hold to get through. Asked to make an appointment and was told I’d get a call from a doctor. Queried why I couldn’t get an appointment to come in and was told we only make over the phone appointments. Receptionist then said ok and hung up on me. Disgusting service! Some serious customer service training required! No wonder I’ve put off trying to get an appointment for 5 weeks when that’s what we have to deal with.Despite it being 2 weeks and sending my complaint twice, not so much as a response.Conveniently, after updating my review yesterday, I got a response via email this morning although apparently, in their opinion, the receptionist was not rude 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ No wonder they only average 1.6 stars. Thanks for finally replying on here after 7 months but clearly didn’t read my review properly otherwise you’d see that I had sent an email, hence getting a reply.Jemma Robins, the practice manager was dismissive of all of my claims and only seemed interested in telling me that my version of events were wrong.
Mindaugas Joga
Mindaugas Joga: Before covid was really good here. Now they do everything slowly.... It's very hard to get appoitment. They start 8 o'clock but phones turn on around 8:30 - 9 am
nezar Barber
nezar Barber: Reception is very very Rude with people
Deirdre Tipping
Deirdre Tipping: Cannot get through to reception without spending a fortune on calls
Poppy Christopher
Poppy Christopher: Not sure what's gone wrong but twice I have made an appointment in the morning for a phone call that day to receive no call. Both times I rang to be told no appointment had been booked for me. Both times I have had get them to listen to the call to prove I wasn't lying. Who's to blame for this happening? Why is this happening? Something seriously needs to be done about this problem. So avoid!
H Ab
H Ab: Worst practice ever. The nurses are very friendly and helpful, but the receptionists are beyond rude and disrespectful.Long waiting times on the phone ( up to hours), and they never have appointments available.Got at some point a Telefon appointment, and of course, this was the cancelled a day before and then texting me I should call them again.-1 star if it was possible
Júlia L
Júlia L: Impossible to book an appointment, it happened before that I was calling for three days at 8am and after a long wait in line I was told there were no more appointments for the day and I can't book for other days. Had to be checked by employer's Occupational Health instead, went to NGH another time, and recently started using Livi to avoid this. Whenever I asked for anything from reception (e.g. swab test and blood test Livi doctor requested), I was told they don't do it here and e.g for the swab I wasn't given any further instructions where to turn. The one occasion I actually managed to get through to be seen by a nurse I had a nightmare of an experience and I dont even know who my gp is due to the lack of communication from the surgery. I am currently in the process of changing surgeries after a few years spent with this one.
Pawel Prus
Pawel Prus: Very professional and quick service. You just need to be patient.
saibhanu prakash
saibhanu prakash: One of the waste medical centre in town. They never want to serve the patient.
Bradley Goode
Bradley Goode: Called and was told couldn't get into see anyone till tomorrow or call 111Sister called and got me an appointment at 5:40 so clearly they don't talk to each other.Seen the nurse can see my face is swelling due to medication I am taking, so she went to talk to a doctor that said keep using the medication, nurse them said best option call 111 and actually see a doctor. The whole practise is bloody useless everything is slow and the staff are beyond rude.
Ejiro Ukale
Ejiro Ukale: Needs to improve in their customer service with relation to the patients and emergency cases
suzanne pegg
suzanne pegg: Looks dirty and dated, staff lovely though....as always...IMHO
Justin K
Justin K: I was on hold for an hour and twenty minutes to be told there was no appointments and I couldn’t book one for the following day. You’ve got more chance of having tea with the king than getting an appointment with the local doctors. This is why people are going straight to A&E.
Barry Freebury
Barry Freebury: takes ages to get them by phone no parking maybe 2 on the desk if your luck
Sue Glentworth
Sue Glentworth: Never able to see doctor
Kathleen Phillips
Kathleen Phillips: Receptionists always friendly and helpful. My doctor is excellent.
Mohammad Rashid
Mohammad Rashid: Always difficult to get through to someone by phone and get an appointment. Always busy.

Northampton General Hospital: what do users think?
Renato Silva
Renato Silva: Nothing related with medical staff from the hospital but with security from the hospital. My kid was very dizzy couldn't walk and I drop my wife and kid near the A&E and some idiot came runing and shouting you can't stop here look look you gona get a fine. First of all if I stopped not parked for less than a minute to drop them is because I didn't have another option normally the people are not going to the hospital when they are in good mood! Second if is a private company who makes the control from car park and roads around the hospital why this rude person came runing and talking in a threatening way! We are already down because the baby is more than 1 week down mood. Unfortunately someone gave him a jacket saying security and he came showing off is a boss! Not a smile not a "good afternoon sir look there is a camera you should move your car" is nothing to do with us but the camera can catch you, nothing!!! Well this is the type of people we have no education no manners and big bosses... What I can say!
Dermot O'Regan
Dermot O'Regan: 22 hrs in a Waiting area whit a Swelling on the Brian this is after being sent home the day b4 being told by the doctor that he would bet his job on Nothing going on in the brain ??? My daughter is still waiting to see a doctor apparently a swelling of the Brian is not a emergency 🙄 this is happening now may the 18th 15.40
Anthony Dsouza
Anthony Dsouza: Great hospital however the staff here is to only to take their salaries from tax payers. They know nothing and is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. Rudeness to the core. Need a reality check on where they get their salary
luis AURRECOECHEA H.
luis AURRECOECHEA H.: Excelente soy un paciente del hospital, tiene un personal de primera muy agradable una atención impecable yo amo este hospital doy gracias a todo su personal por su dedicación son personas con una calidad humana de primera
Rex Lowin
Rex Lowin: Had to attend AandEExcellent speedy service
Dave Manning
Dave Manning: Where do I begin? Uncomfortable uncaring unsociable unhappy always some sort of problem lack of information unhelpful especially a / e always problems with that department terrible.
Mr. Lambo
Mr. Lambo: If you can, try go to other hospital. I am literally shocked, general doctors at a&e has lack of knowledge, i was given paracetamol and suggested to google the symptoms. I have no idea how they getting graduated at medical school.Arrived to hospital at 9pm1 doctor at a&e only6 patients were in the queueAverage waiting time 2h
beth crocker
beth crocker: Appalling hospital, if you can get to Kettering, go there! The treatment, judgement and discrimination I have received over many years is disgusting. I know the treatment you will receive depends on who you see, and sometimes its better than others. However there is a reoccurring theme with NGH of lack of awareness for mental health issues. When staff sit on the nurses station bad mouthing a patient who has attempted on their life, it makes a person there with mental health issue themselves, not want to stay. Badly organised, inattentive and horrible. The best people in that hospital are the volunteers and the HCAs, they are the ones that are the most caring and empathetic on the whole. If you can go to Kettering over Northampton please do.
Gillian Twiselton
Gillian Twiselton: Good but parking was awful
Arrgh Bee
Arrgh Bee: Fantastic staff and great facilities. High level of care.
Lynn Flecknor
Lynn Flecknor: The 1 star is for the nurses only, as for my treatment by a Gynaecologist and co with their procedures done on me without pain relief was disgraceful and I never want to ever go there again.
Linda Blow
Linda Blow: My husband has been going to see Mr Tomlinson for about 5 years in Neurology department Mr Tomlinson is very professional friendly always takes time with my husband in his busy clinic on Tuesdays we want to say thankyou to him
David Prowse
David Prowse: My 10 Yr old daughter recently had an MRI at NGH and the staff were excellent. The process was well explained and the team provided reassurance during a process that sppk adults. Many thanks DP.
George Christofi
George Christofi: The hospital itself is great and the staff excellent. The biggest issue is parking. All wards visiting is at the same block of 2 hours so the limited amount of space is highlighted dramatically. I won't complain about the cost because it is comparable to council run car parks. It's just too small!!
John Meakins
John Meakins: The staff are great, but the service is appalling. There is an extreme wait time for literally everything and as nice as the staff are you don't feel like your health is in good hands due to the lack of resources. I wish I could say this was only a one off, but it's happened a handful of times in the past few years including the birth of my child. If you can, go private or to another hospital.
Steve W
Steve W: I couldn't criticise the place based on my most recent visit.
sahana battiwala
sahana battiwala: Pathetic paediatric emergency service including staff in it. We waited until morning to be seen by ENT, and nurses were just happy to not to call ENT to come and see my child. Very rude and stubborn staff. Absolute lack of sympathy and empathy. I hope I don't need to go there. Terrible, horrendous and useless.
Venczel Andra
Venczel Andra: The most horrible hospital that I was in my life. From the luck of space l, to the incompetence of a lot of the doctor's and nurses. Plus the long hours that you have to stay until someone is actually looking at you.Shame on NHS!!! And you are asking for a raise of salary???
tom george
tom george: Worst hospital I have ever tooAll the staff were very rudeEspecially the emergency department
Andrew Potts
Andrew Potts: Amazing staff let down by lack of beds
bailey brown
bailey brown: brilliant care, amazing doctors and nurses , were extremely helpful and attentive

Earls Barton Medical Centre: what do users think?
Peter Nobbs
Peter Nobbs: Absolute joke of a surgery. No one has a clue what they are doing. Seriously needs new ownership or competent staff
Rosalind Garside
Rosalind Garside: Arrived for a pre booked appointment today, only to be told had been cancelled as have applied to register elsewhere. A message would have been helpful, save a waste of time. Have been wondering if doing the right thinbut now 1⁰% certain I am.
Paul S
Paul S: Amended review - I have upped my review from 1 start to 4 as things have improved greatly in the last month or so. The phone system now works, (or so I have found in the last couple of weeks,) and staff are far more polite now and I feel like I am being listened too.
Nick Muscat
Nick Muscat: I wish that I could give 0 Stars!!! I wish that I’ve read the Google Reviews first. Before rushing foolheartedly into joining this sham of a Doctor’s Surgery!!! 🤬🤬🤬 More Fool Me. & what that other guy mentioned about it been the worst doc’s surgery in Northampton. Am with ya brother. At least Abbey Medical Practice answer there Phones. & also Response back to there Patients Reviews… So Many Congrats but you’ve lost yet another Customer… even though you most probably don’t even give an Toss about it?! & So Good Riddance 2 Bad Rubbish & all that!!! 0/10 👎👎👎
Diane Westall
Diane Westall: Really good service today, got through to reception quickly, two phone calls from two different Doctors as promised, would still prefer face to face appointments but happy I was dealt with professionally by everyone there
Kelly Mace
Kelly Mace: Getting an appointment isn't the easiest but that's the same with all NHS surgeries. I have been able to, most of the time. I've also been invited in when necessary. I'm quite happy to discuss matters on the phone if possible. Getting a call back is tricky when you are at work though. I wish they could give a more accurate time for this.
Lina Butler
Lina Butler: Should be shut down altogether. Got phone appointment for skin problem that could be related to my chronic illness. Was asked to take a photo of it and think about my lifestyle instead of offering any actual help. Tried to get blood work done, nurse didn’t know what she was doing, then said “I’ll just go for it” and hit a nerve in my arm. I was in excruciating pain but she still wanted to continue. I ran out of the clinic as soon as I could without looking back. I couldn’t use my arm properly for 2 weeks. 6 months later nobody contacted me about the photo I sent them. No follow up, nothing. I still have the skin issue and other pretty serious health concerns. It’s just insulting.
Lucy Chinnery-Hinks
Lucy Chinnery-Hinks: I've been a patient here most of my life and have unfortunately had to use them a lot. They have had their problems, and still do. But... they always provide me with the care and attention that I need. They always manage to get me an appointment when I really need one and the doctors and nurses are lovely. Yes, it isn't easy or quick to get through to talk to someone on the phone, but tell me a doctors surgery at the moment that is! I always try to be kind to them, even when things are slow, but they do always get things done. They are in desperate need of more staff, hopefully that will happen soon.
Shaun
Shaun: The whole surgery needs to be struck off, can't ever get through, after all the bad media on this place they have made no attempt to improve even answering the phone
Isabella Leighton
Isabella Leighton: absolutely useless, i have never know a doctors to be so terrible
John Nielsen
John Nielsen: Lovely staff and patient Doctor's and Nurses
V L Y
V L Y: Absolutely despicable! Don't even bother trying to call for an appointment. You have to personally go there to get one. Not very convenient for those who have to go work and no time to go. What are your phones for?!! My husband has been waiting for a call from the doctor for long time! Probably can't blame the doctors, it's the incompetent receptionists (especially the elderly one) surprised she hasn't been sacked yet! She was extremely rude to my husband. She lacks patient care and just fobs you off saying they are busy with only 2 people working. Excuse me, 2 people is sufficient enough to work at reception. We are registering for another medical centre. It is a good thing we are not in serious condition that needs to be seen immediately but however our family has a condition that makes our day to day life uncomfortable, and not able to get a appointment is just prolonging the condition.
Mansoor Latif
Mansoor Latif: Referred to doctors by 111 as my 3 year old has a fever and rashes forming, after taking ages to get through to the doctor's the receptionist speak to you in such a rude and abrupt way, like why are you calling. They arrange for a call and ring on a different number to the one given. After returning the call straightaway the doctor isn't available. This is one of the worst surgeries I have ever been involved with. Even when you request the surgery manager to ring back to record a complaint he or she doesn't. I don't understand how they feel they think this is acceptable. I would not recommend anyone to join this surgery clearly it has a past history of issues and the rot is still in the wood.
Sandra Anderson
Sandra Anderson: Shut it down 😤😤😤Again rang to see a doctor due to problems with my breathingI was told the doctor would call me and then go from there I sad I want a appointment am not well am struggling with my breathingThe doctor's will communicate with you over the phone tears fell from my eyes am at my wit's end with my breathing I hurtThe doctor called and sad I'll put a pump for your breathing to the chemist without seeing me no listening to my chest nothing your so wrong in every way to treat a patient this way who's been in hospital with pneumoniaWill also send you today for a x-rayNo further antibiotics prescribed no testing of breathing unknown to why I had antibiotics I had to tell himNo review of your patients historyNow awaiting x-rayResults then I'll leave here I don't think i would want to be seen by any of you you sound truly incompetent .you let people downYou won't see anyone it's truly disgusting and disgraceful how you treat people
Elliot Chinnery Hinks
Elliot Chinnery Hinks: Updated review: tried to give them the benefit of the doubt with my last review but after waiting days for a fit note for my wife (i rang everyday) only to be told eventually she needs a meds review before a fitnote can be given, there lack of professionalism and organisational structure is clear. For me the receptionists are actually ok, its the doctors that are useless with administration and the receptionists end up dealing with their mistakes. This might be why many reviews on here refer to poor reception etiquette.Sonething needs to be done this is a poor GP in a beautiful village.
Louise Hopper
Louise Hopper: I can never get into this doctors, I have a child to get ready for school am and by the time I call which is 9:30am they never have any appointments left! call back tomorrow! my issue cant ait until tomorrow so now I have to call 111... stupid system!
John Smith
John Smith: Great service again today from agate way medical centre. Thanks to doctor SAID for my cortisone injection in and out no messing about 👍 great to see the practice performing first class again
Anja Sibbes
Anja Sibbes: You won't be seen for an appointment unless you're about to pop your clogs.
Lorraine Soulsby
Lorraine Soulsby: I thought they'd improve after being in the papers, I can only say they were better before. They prescribed me medication without talking to me that is on medical file saying I'm allergic. They will send you to a paediatric hub for children now however they don't process their prescriptions as they're electronic. The response I got was well you can buy it over the counter elsewhere. They are awful at managing calls you will sit waiting listening to awful music for 30+ minutes. Everytime I order a script there seems to be a different issue.
Tricia Hopkins
Tricia Hopkins: Mother in law passed away on 6th Jan and 7 days later we are still waiting for the doctors to issue a medical certificate so we can register her death. We keep being fobbed off with constant excuses by the staff as to why it still hasn't been done. It's already an upsetting time for my Husband and his father and this has made it even more difficult for something that is routine after death and is delaying booking the funeral. They have continued to fail her in death just like they did arranging her end of life care. I'd recommended you choose a different medical practice if you expect to receive medical assistance because you won't get it from here!
Ozzy
Ozzy: do they just likewatch the phone ring or something

Abington Medical Centre: what do users think?
Játvarðr
Játvarðr: Utterly abysmal. I'm ex NHS, and my family are mostly NHS too. All old school, all trained properly when the trust meant something. This surgery typifies the new order. The young millennial receptionists lack knowledge in general but don't have a clue how to communicate, everything seems to upset them, even questions lead to them threatening to hang up. I'm very assertive and I will not tolerate that which should not be tolerated. But I'm not difficult and I'm an advanced communicator with 20 years of advocacy and support work with vulnerable people behind me, but these little twits managed to rile me. I suffer heavy depression and anxiety, so unfortunately all communication with this surgery goes a similar way as they are so insolent, proud and conversely really delicate.Behind the inane is the dangerous, this surgery have never completed a successfully modality treatment with me, or concluded an episode, they never listen and frequently make mistakes, frequently my hotes do not reflect my reality, in one instance they lead me to belive I had emphysema for 4 months, this is justone instance out of several deeply incompetent scenarios, once or twice a DR apologised privately but the problem is with the deplorable staff. Today they crossed the line, I relocated to another surgery rather than talk to them again and I'm leaving disgruntled and with a list of unanswered questions. These people do not care about vulnerable patients and are antagonistic to the point of leaving people without support... massive fair for a institution with a duty of care... but these millennials are ruinedinauthentic people who should not be given responsibility over vulnerable people, because they will use it to persecute.
John Johnstone
John Johnstone: Just registered here having recently relocated from London. So far the processes for registration and getting an appointment seem pretty effective and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.Online service is excellent.Lovely doctors - considerate and kind, thorough and professional.
Sally Hillery
Sally Hillery: This has been my doctors all my life... are the receptionist now qualified doctors as you can never get in to see anyone !!!! Absolutely appalling... management need the sack !!!
margaret inman
margaret inman: Lovely Doctors and Nurses and very helpful Recption staff
Tina Blundell
Tina Blundell: See Dr Silva today and she's absolutely marvellous. Listens to you and explains things thoroughly.
Jane Robinson
Jane Robinson: Completed online questionnaire for a current problem. I was called back within 5 minutes problem discussed and appropriate medication prescribed and sent to my nominated pharmacy for collection. Very impressed with speed of response and action taken. Brilliant!!
Jane Atkinson
Jane Atkinson: Been with this surgery for over 40 years. Rang this morning at 8.20, No. 39 in the queue, after 15 mins moved to No. 38, on that basis my wait could have been 9.5 hours. I hung on and on and on and on...... finally got to No. 1 at 11. 20, three hours on the phone. Receptionist spent the first few minutes telling me I could not get a Dr's appointment today, when I was finally allowed to speak, I explained that it was a blood test that was needed...... too late for today, finally managed to explain the situation and got a call back to see a Dr.What a dreadful service, it's no wonder that A & E is overwhelmed.
mattsymonds32
mattsymonds32: I called around 10am yesterday and was number 30 in the que. It was about a very serious health condition 2 days after my surgery so I thought it was best to wait. I finally got answered just before 12 to be spoken to by a very rude lady saying I need to call before 11. I explained the situation on when I called and the waiting list and this was met by a rude attitude saying to try and go on the app tomorrow. Considering the Job is speaking to people who aren’t well, customer service should be the top of the their priority. This lady was in the wrong job and clearly wasn’t happy doing what she was doing. I had a repeat message throughout the 2 hour wait and not once did it say any request for a doctor after 11am won’t be dealt with. Awful service. The only good thing about this surgery is Dr.Thompson.
Vebeus 1
Vebeus 1: A nightmare of a system where you are encouraged to book online but half the features don’t work. Or choose to wait in a phone queue of 30+ and still not be able to just see a doctor face to face on the day. Nice staff but awful system that is enough to make you ill!
SH1T KID
SH1T KID: Hope you Don't wish to see or even speak to a Dr, as they will push you off to the pharmacy or A&E. At most they may have you email them a picture. If you keep harassing them, i mean calling to report symptoms, they will give you pills or sick notes.
Louise Coventry
Louise Coventry: I’ve been with this surgery for over 25 years. Mostly I have had positive experiences. I do agree that the backward and forwarding of phone calls between you the receptionist and the GP is annoying and time consuming, particularly if you work and can’t always get to your phone but now I have discovered the online questionnaire it appears to cut a lot of that out!I have seen and spoken to some lovely staff who are very helpful and compassionate.Health care services are generally all overwhelmed, under funded and doing the best they can. Maybe some of these complaints should be aimed at the government? We are a nation that like to complain, which is fair enough because if we don’t standards can’t improve but there is also so much positive to report.Give the surgery and staff a break and let them know they are valued when something good happens.
peter price-francis
peter price-francis: Very good pharmacy, eith knowledgeable stsfg
Anthony Dixon
Anthony Dixon: Friendly staff very helpful
Andy Robinson
Andy Robinson: I only have praise for this surgery, and how it has supported me for the past 14 years.
Dale Swanston
Dale Swanston: I've been with them for 30 years, I should have changed years ago, absurdity worst medical experience I've ever had, clueless bunch ove muppet that care more about money than there human life!!!!!Find some we're better, paul steele
Chloé Catalina
Chloé Catalina: First off. The phone calls. Oh my lord. I sadly call frequently because i have epilepsy and many other issues and same with my daughter but hers isn’t as controlled as mine so when i have to call in to go over her specialists letter to talk about medication change, every single time its “your 34” or more or slightly less in the que. i call up first thing in the morning, when it firsts open and im already 18 or something in a queue. The amount of times ive done an online application and they haven’t received it is sickening and upsetting. BUT, even though through the years i have met horrible doctors and one which said my daughter had a uti when infact she had appendicitis and because of my feeling i rushed her to a&e two days after they said that that’s when i was told she had to have urgent surgery. BUT i have met two new doctors for two different reasons and these doctors ive never seen before and they were absolutely amazing!!! There is soooo much that needs to change and i just wished the amazing doctors who helped me, they were all like them because the ones that have seem to be there longest are absolutely horrible and judging. So sad. Ive been with these doctors my whole 30 years of life and my mum before my birth and she is just as upset with me how down hill they are being.
Roger Hemmings
Roger Hemmings: If you are not happy with this service then why dont you go elsewhere? These people have huge patience and do their absolute best to help. Most things can be applied for or submitted online to save wasting time on the phone.
Karolina P
Karolina P: After long time waiting on phone call exactly 1 h 35 min to book an appointment for my child at 11.34 the receptionist lady said she is unable to book an appointment and end up call sending me to use a living app which also said "we are fully booked". Unbelievable.
Fazal Baqri
Fazal Baqri: Unprofessional and arrogant staff most of them. In covid times even worse. Looks like they want you on their book to get fundings but don't want to help you at all.
S C
S C: I called up at 10:25am in hoping to get an appointment. I finally go through at 11:55! The women at reception was completely useless. She said I can’t have an appointment as the cut off time was 11am. I said I’ve been on the phone for 1.5hrs waiting to get through. She told me to sign up for the online service. As the conversation took longer than 5 mins I never got to have a doctors appointment because the online service cuts off at 12! I’ve tried for 2 weeks to get an appointment. Awful service!
Paul Wright
Paul Wright: 1hr 55mins just to get through to an albeit polite and helpful receptionist. There has got to be a better system! How many physically or mentally ill people aren't getting the help they need because they are unable to stay on hold for 2hrs! Dreadful.Edit- Can the GPs actually come out of hiding and do the job they are paid for? Every member of the NHS has face to face interaction with patients except GPs! How many people are dying because of their disgusting cowardice!

Higham Ferrers Surgery: what do users think?
gem cole
gem cole: Absolutely shocking practice. Receptionists are rude and doctors are a total waste of time. Doesn’t even warrant 1 star
Anselmo Anselmo
Anselmo Anselmo: Well after trying to defend the surgery I now had to admit defeat, shocking doctors never want to see anyone no tablets review after 2 years plus just not on this is peoples health we are talking about time to look elsewhere.
David Tripkovic
David Tripkovic: Wish I had never registered at this practicealthough receptionist staff and nurses are all good ..Sad to say .you cnt say the same for the doctors
Colin Nixon
Colin Nixon: Incredible hard to get an appointment. 4 hours wait on the phone. No option of online booking system which works absolutely fine elsewhere. Waste of time!!
Jordan Florez
Jordan Florez: Been number 1 in the call queue for 45 minutes now and still no answer. Waste of time this place needs new staff asap
Mark Childs
Mark Childs: Unfortunately you cannot give half a star but to be honest the place isn't even worth half a star. Unless you are able bodied it is impossible to get an appointment with them You have to queue up outside And if you are not fit enough to get down there you cannot get an appointment. So they are actually discriminating against the infirm. I have been trying to get to see a doctor for about 6 months now and still haven't managed. And how they got a good rating is beyond me.
Zielik fighter
Zielik fighter: Highly not recommending! You'll have no chances to get an appointment as the reception never answer the phone at 8am which is the only the time to do the booking. If you are in a call waiting queue, the number goes down 1 per approx 25mins. Operation of this place is an absolutelly joke!!!
Rebecca James
Rebecca James: my nan is currently registered with this surgery I'm disgusted she has terminal cancer and they felt a nurse once every 3 weeks was suitable to go see her yet they didnt sort any palliative care out for her I had to call a ambulance out to her a week ago to get her help shes unable to care for herself yet they didnt refer her to McMillan cancer care but thankfully thanks to the kind ambulance man he got my nan the help she needed at home she wont go into hospice she wants to stay at home and now she has help she needs to do that thankfully I just wanna say this surgery needs investigating or closed down shame on you
Katarina Mackie
Katarina Mackie: Incredible hard to get an appointment. No option of online booking or econsult (which works absolutely fine elsewhere). You will have to call at 8am and stay on the line for at least 40 min and if you are lucky enough you get throuh (staff tend to hang up when the call volum is high) you will be 'triaged' by non clinical staff without any consultation from a clinical member who will decide if you will get an appointment or not. No option of appointments other than on the day, which works fine for patients who are not required to take time of work and unfortunately not everyone is unable to take a 40 min phone call at 8am. It's a rather stressful process that doesn't help patient already under stress due to any health related issues. I would say that the surgery is not fat from patient neglect and is only adding more stress to anyone who is only after an appointment for reassurance.
James Wright
James Wright: I called at 0800 when opened to get an appointment to see a Doc but after 5 mins of the call being cancelled I finally got onto the hold queue. 2.5 hours later i am still at No. 4 in the queue. After 3 hours on the phone i finally get through to a lady who advises me there are no more appointments and will have to try again tomorrow. I am unable to book in a future appointment. Do they not understand everyone works and are unable to be on the phone for 3 hours every morning? What am i supposed to do? Call 111? Thats the same problem, i called these and was informed i would get a call back later that day. Did a call come? I think you can answer that.Higham Ferrers Surgery are just like every other NHS surgery, on its knees. NHS reform.
Nicola Brackley
Nicola Brackley: My husband was called last Thursday to be told the Dr wants to speak with him following blood tests and he should make an appointment ..ok so let's make an appointment NO you must ring us at 8am or come up to surgery and make an appointment WHY So today at 8 he rings to make an appointment and is still in the queue it's now 9.15. . I'm sorry this is totally unacceptable it's no wonder A&E are overwhelmed !!Who is running this surgery. It's completely broken .. I deal with Oundle and Kimbolton Surgeries they answer your call immediately. Higham ferrers i hope you are going to improve your admin skills! My partner is writing to Peter Bone today to register tjis issue .
Barbara Kobielusz
Barbara Kobielusz: Honestly I have no words...
nigel bastick
nigel bastick: Not good.
Pant0Cow
Pant0Cow: First class service at a walk in flu jab clinc today. We forget to praise when things go well but are quick to complain
Jessi Huckbody
Jessi Huckbody: had an appointment with GP last year to discuss numerous long term physical health symptoms, was spoken to with no respect to the point of my mental health diagnosis being bought up which subsequently made me feel worse post my telephone call with the doctor. he even said, and i quote, "there's no point us doing any referrals or tests because you could still end up not finding any answers" and he also asked me the ignorant, rhetorical question of "if we do the tests, and nothing shows, then what?" as if an "as should be" test result would somehow mean my issues were rendered non existent.the irony of a healthcare professional adding to the stigma of mental illness does not go a miss here considering my physical health difficulties are not correlated with my MH diagnosis. it's just as absurd as someone with a knee injury having it blamed on their asthma, for example.on a more general note, it'd be nice to say that at least over this time frame the attitude and quality of care shown by the receptionist department has improved alas there is no change. only a continuing sense of having to be your own advocate and make sure you're being the admin of your own healthcare.
John Stuart-smith
John Stuart-smith: I need a document that only my GP can complete for me and the charge is £49 as it isn’t NHS work.I dropped the document in but at the time no one knew the fee amount but took the document from me to be completed and signed by the GP and advised they would call in 48hrs to update me on time scale and fee. No call received. I left it 2 weeks and went in on a day I had booked off as they are not open at all on weekends and I work from7am-6pm mid week.Reception did apologies that I hadn’t heard anything and said she would chase. I received a call another 2 weeks later saying the fee was £49 and the document was now ready to collect….cash only?????Today as this was the only time I could go after taking a day off again and 12 days after the call I received saying it was ready I went to collect….shock, it isn’t ready and I left standing around while someone figures out why. Bless the poor nurse who is sent out to apologise again and then tells me it can take 6 weeks, no one ever said this and regardless you rang me and said it was ready?????I ask to complain, no one can see me though. Can’t give me 5 mins but can waste 3 days of mine for a paid for service.I suggest wave the fee as I’m not reviving any level of service at all at this stage and it’s my personal data which I am entitled to. The funny thing is no one as even asked me for ID to check the info release is going to the right person. It hasn’t even been mention and this so personal sensitive data.I also agreed with other reviewers about getting an appointment, my wife and daughter both changed surgery 2 years ago because of their service, I use to just assume as you read and hear everywhere that they are stretched but my patients on that line is worn out. Never felt compelled to complain as I as really I’ll to that degree.I have now gone online to complain directly as advised by them and the document to raise a complaint has been removed.Going to have to now go back and ask how I can affectively raise a complaint.Truly shocking.
David G
David G: UpdateWell what a few days and what a predictable waste of time. On the call Q from 0800 ( No 14) to 0944 no appts left. Advice walk up Monday Morning at 0800. We are only offering Tel Appts at the moment and yet yesterday we went down the can you bring your relative in ( No I can't relative cant walk) route then advised to phone up at 0800 this morning. Poor service but inconsistent answers being the worst.PreviousSome time back told them that it was no good calling me and saying contact surgery if you don't leave a name as when you call back you are just chasing your arse round the surgery. Thought they took that on Board -Maybe!Anyway latest press blah if you want ..blah between the hours of blah.. so waited until that time-rang out and back to receptionist. Oh she doesn't start until ...so wasted time! Also advised that she will be very busy when you do phone back-Excuses in early!
david rawlings
david rawlings: Room for improvements still waiting for my sons medical information no email address to contact them.Sort it out please 🙏
john hopper
john hopper: Rang between 11 and 3 for result of pre diabetes blood test. All I was told was I was due another one in October. Complete waste of time.
mick percival
mick percival: Total waste of time. If you work you cannot get an appointment. Told to phone 1st thing in the morning ! ( I cant im at work ! ) Told doctors are doing online consultations only and have to book an appointment for this on the day, and will decide if I need to see a doctor on the day when they phone me back ! No wonder A&E are overwhelmed with ridiculous policies like this set by the Doctors at this surgery. Receptionist could do with some training rather than just trying to get you off the phone and repeatingly saying " Doctors policy" to everything you ask. Avoid if you value your health !! Seems all this surgery is good for is repeat prescriptions and fobbing patients off. 3rd time in 10 years I've had to use the doctors and can't even make an appointment.
susie sines
susie sines: This place needs either shutting down altogether or taking over by people who can run it efficiently! I have spent 45 minutes on hold from 8am on the dot only to be told there are no telephone appointments left 🤬. Quite a few (not all) of reception staff need to learn some telephone manors as well!
