Mark Gordon: Stayed one night in a hotel nearby and great this little gem of an Indian restaurant was so close. Very friendly and attentive staff fast service and reasonable prices and what was truly amazing you can bring your own alcohol and they will provide the classes, first class all-round.I ordered a single rice portion as I was told it was enough for two and it was a special chicken tikka masala for my partner and my favourite chicken dhansak with a portion of stuffed keema paratha and of course the poppadoms. What was left over they portioned up as a takeaway far to good to leave.

Kash: Went here for some food on a Sunday evening with my girlfriend, feeling spontaneous! I ordered a lamb balti and my girlfriend a prawn balti one mushroom rice and a nann bread the food came out very quick (witch can only make me think it wasn't made freash) they bring the main dishes out on some little gass stove to give the impression of "fine dining" but it's far from it ! They man serving up heated the dishes all if 3/4 seconds.. so as you can imagine the food was still cold! I had about 5 very small pieces of lamb that was over cooked somehow even tho our food was heated for 4 seconds! My girlfriend had a good amount of prawns and she was happyThe bill was £45 I would say that's over priced for 2 cold mains one side, one nann and 2 drinks!Wouldn't recommend or feed to the family dog !!!

Saffron is my go to for a meal out or take away.When I have ordered for a delivery the order always comes piping hot before estimated delivery time and drivers are always polite too.I highly recommend Saffron for your Curry fix! Peter Heeley: The worst curry we have ever had, started with a very salty curry and they changed that for an even salter one than the original one , my wife couldn’t eat it it was unedible, so they changed for a tikkaMasala which was filled coconut and looked like a plate of tinnrd tomatoes. Ordered a chicken balti and got a butter chicken which they changed and gave me the right dish which was like my wife’s totally unedible, which they said it wasn’t salty taste it was tangy. After that we gave up and left the restaurant. I’ve been eating curries since I was a kid ( I’m 69) and never come across anything like this before. ( no I wasn’t after a discount I paid full price)
C B: Very disappointing. I've visited on many occasions over the years, and ordered different, but ended up with, very similar looking (and tasting) meals. Final nail was the "Butter" chicken, which again looked very similar to previous dishes, with the exception of a rectangular nob of butter thrown in, not disimmilar to those butter packs found at motorway service stations. Saffron used to be good, but they've got very lazy with their dishes, to the point of not even caring. I won't be returning.

The owner of the restaurant who delivers food was very kind during the lock down when he had very less customers. After the end of the lockdown- During my last order he called me saying that i wasted his 10 mins since he was waiting downstairs and my phone wasn't reachable(rudely) which was untrue. He also told me that he is having lot of orders and cannot re-deliver my food ,instead asked me to go to the restaurant to collect or he will get it after 45 mins( the time was already 22:00). He later called saying that he can deliver the food the next day 😡. Pathetic service. I didnt wanted to even give 1 star rating since they are not worthy of it. I have stopped ordering food from this restaurant and would suggest not to try his food. 😡😡😡😡

TheSimpleKitchen: Fresh food delivered on time. 10/10 for butter chicken and garlic naan. Dal Makhani is a decent home-style dal. Don't expect creamy, restaurant-style Dal Makhani as you get the bite of chunky garlic and whole spices(especially star anise) which is slightly annoying. I had ordered paneer Maratha which was perfectly spiced, but the paneer was too dry and chewy. even though the paneer was grated, but still you can tell it is a bit rubbery. Presumably, if you go for dine-in you might enjoy hot parathas. But by the time it reaches home it is cold and dry.Gulab Jamun is highly recommended. Overall it was a good feast.One suggestion is please review your prices, especially dosa, which seems to be highly expensive.

We needed dishes to be vegan and Amin was really helpful in sorting this for us. Sailesh Makwana: Came to this eatery based on the reviews and safe to say that this is a GEM of a place in Northampton.The service is outstanding with the staff and owner being so attentive and the venue is pleasant and clean.The food is AMAZING and certainly the best we have had in the town for Authentic Indian food. All starters were superb (Paneer Tikka, Veg Manchurian, Chilli Paneer, Chicken Seekh) and the Hyderbadi Fish starter is a MUST, never had anything like that before and you can see why its a best seller.We tried the Saag Chicken and Egg Biryani also which were both superbly spiced and made and generous portions too. The naans and rotis are super too.Look forward to going back again! yeet boi: Amazing experience, I ordered the Paneer Makhan Masala along with 3 garlic naans. The food portions were great and it seemed like we were getting value for our money unlike some other places. The Paneer Makhan Masala was creamy and melted in our mouth and the naan was soft. The only downside is during busy times there is a rush of people causing the food arriving times to be delayed ( 15-30 mins) but I would definitely say that the wait is worth it.Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: From what I’ve seen, they have vegeterian options are halal and allocate where there are nuts on the menu

P A: After looking at reviews & hygiene rating we were so disappointed. The Hyderabadi chicken biryani had 3 pieces of chicken, the lamb Tika Rogan contained normal pieces of lamb not tika and no peppers or onions in a bland sauce. The paneer makhan masala was hotter than a vindaloo but never stated it was going to be hot. Safe to say we wouldn’t recommend.

madhan kumar: One of the worst food I ever had in my life, I have ordered in delivero from this restaurant noodles and prawn masala. But they have provided with the noodles which had 1 litre of oil. Prawn masala I have never seen like this dish anywhere in the world, fully they added tomato sauce in the prawns. It was very horrible food in this place. I will not recommend this place to anyone and I will not give one star also.

Philip Thompson: We thought we would try this new restaurant with two friends, having been regular customers at the previous establishment.We were very impressed with the new decor, service and food.We all had a starter, two of us opting for the Prawn Puri, which I have to say is the best I've ever had.The main courses were just as good, we all had different meals, I opted for the Sobji Ghust Karai (lamb cooked with spinach and bhindi), which was absolutely delicious.I also tried the Chicken Tikka Sag, also first class.The Keema Naan we shared was equally as good as any we've ever had before.We definitely recommend this new restaurant and cannot wait until our next visit!

C B: Came here on the strength of the reviews and a menu with some traditional dishes not found in your typical Northampton Indian. Wasn't disappointed. Food was excellent. Good choice of beers, friendly staff and price as expected, will definitely visit again soon.

Also, some of us didn't receive what we asked for, and no apology from management very poor!!! Now our group is considering booking somewhere else in future!!!!

NessaBlume21: Seeing mixed reviews we were curious to check the restaurant out ourselvesFirst impression, atmosphere was extremely lacking, no decor, no music, place seems like it was a last minute set up type vibe - think it would vastly improve overall experience if they added some cultural decor and also just invested more in how they store cups etc. beyond the counter. Half the restaurant was also dark as the lights were turned off, definitely gave a derelict vibeService was slightly indifferent at the start, already felt quite awkward with the lack of people/atmosphere - but the younger server was extremely polite, smiling and improved overall experienceFood was generally okay, ordered the poppadoms (sauce plate which accompanies was lovely), chicken korma - sauce was split and lumpy, chicken madras - not hot enough, and chicken was tough and overcooked, paratha - good size but undercooked at the bottom due to thickness but seemed Homemade which is great and naan bread which was quite nice.Overall I'd try it, might suit some tastes which can't handle too much heat/spice.

Anthony Hollick: Service awful, Food was excellent when it finally arrived, booked a table for 18 for 2030 well in advance, didn't get seated until 2145, staff kept lying about how long we'd be waiting. Food was slow out and scattered. Some people had finished their mains before others even had starters. Mains arrived around 2230. Food was decent when it got there but not worth the hassle. No offer to knock any money off bill was shocking given the time waited and service.
