Peter Osgood: They had a competition on the go when we visited the Millers Cafe - turned out to be a good watch. They're always out there training. Parking is a bit of a squeeze, and the road in and out is single file traffic. But a nice setup.

kirsty rutherford: Went for my first private lesson today after a 9 year break from Horses. Nice friendly and clean yard that looked well geared up for adults and children . The horses look happy and well cared for. Lovely touch with the cafe so my hubby could get a coffee while he watched. My instructor, Betty, was absolutely lovely and very encouraging. She asked about my experience, and what I wanted to achieve. I was given a lovely cob to ride and throughly enjoyed my lesson- by the end I was cantering around the school!From my own experience today , I look forward to returning and would definitely recommend to others.

Holly Hartley: Really enjoyed East Lodge, I took my 19 month old and 6 year old for Halloween. We ventured a bit further afield as all of our local farms have increased their prices massively!It's a small farm which at least meant we got to see all the animals 👍🏻The play areas are lovely and it was so refreshing that it wasn't overrun so we actually had space to ourselves ..the Halloween activities were included in entry which is brilliant. The event signage was a bit worse for wear due to the rain but I'm sure they're improving things all the time..We'll definitely be back, great place to meet up with family, good value for money and perfect for little ones! 🚜

JWC: My 8 year old went horse riding for about a year. Most instructors are good, a few not so. I appreciate they are busy, but everything is so rushed. A lesson will finish at 10:30 for example and the next one will start at the same time, so no time in between to swap over. Your swapping over time eats into the last/next lesson if that makes sense.Also no consistency when it comes to what instructor you will get, and in the event that you get an instructor you haven't had before, she'll be asking you what ability level the child is at - could the instructor not have notes on the app from last time? But that would take time of course which they don't have.Lessons are also hard to get, they are 'released' at a certain time, some people know how to play it and the lessons get snapped up in an instant. And if you have a problem of any sort and you phone up, you'll never get an answer and there's never anybody there to talk to, everybody is so busy doing lessons and nobody doing any managing as far as we could ever see.

Krisha Adams: So today we came to lodge farm for a private hack in our group we're myself and my son who are both experienced riders and two friends one a beginner and the other a novice just like to say how well kept the yard was and how nice the horses are all clean and clipped and proper fitting tack 👌I rode puzzle a piebald cob my lad had a young horse called Winston and then Alfie and zorro all were very sweet and very well behaved and also all the staff were very friendly so thank you for a nice afternoon it's always nice to ride different horses in new places. 😊 Good boy puzzle.

Great staff.The lessons can sometimes go over so sometimes a little waiting time and not always the same instructor. Though they are fantastic with little children.Easy parking which is good on a busy yard.

Diane OHARA: Had a lesson here today. Arrived early as I was told had some paperwork to complete. Admittedly I walked in the wrong way and ended up in the stables instead of reception. No paperwork to complete. A few staff about but no one spoke to me, said hello or asked if I was ok. Instructor told me to go and get a hat which I found in the reception but no one to fit it. Left my car keys in reception. Lesson ok horses very well cared for and an excellent ride. Was not asked if I wanted to book again,. Went to get my car keys,, no one in reception but luckily door open and I could see my car keys on the filing cabinet lucky it was me who took them! Won,'t be coming backWas contacted by the Manager who apologised and offered me a complimentary lesson. I had my lesson on16th Dec with a different instructor. Rode the same horse totally different experience very enjoyable , instructor was very engaging and informative and gave me advice about what I needed to improve will be happy to return thank you Julie.

Mia Kaveri: Hi. I go here and it’s the best place EVER. First the amazing friends you get to have and meet here are incredible. The trainers a lovely and help you out with any thing. The staff are really nice and my you laugh but also very wise. I love the food they sell. The horses are so well trained and are in good quality. I hope you go to this stable to make amazing friendships and to bond with horses.

Sabine Martin: The NEW ROUTES Project is based at Holcot Riding School. It helps children from age 13-18 years who struggle with education. It teaches all about horse care and includes riding lessons. Staff are very professional and caring. It offers a little classroom of the yard and plenty of practise sessions. Horses help children with anxiety to relax. We are very happy getting the opportunity to take part in this project. Thank you!

I have learnt to ride there for 4 years and they taught me to jump and ride different ponies.They're is an appaloosa around 15.1hh called amelia, a bay about the same size called tequila, a small chubbh gray called lucy and another called george and called tiny, a slightly larger bay mare called skippy. They have a big gray gelding called dylan, a black one called cloud and lots more!A great place toride they have lots of activities

I’ve been for a lesson with Rachel today who was extremely patient with me and my rusty riding! Put my nerves at ease right away. I rode a beautiful Appaloosa called Amelia. The facilities are great and the Covid protocols in place are spot on. Really looking forward to my next lesson.

This was a birthday present for my wife who has never ridden before and by all accounts had not even been on a carousel before. Thank you thank you thank you. The only issue now is that I think she will want lessons as she has fallen in love with Marmalade.

Gray saber: Nice place to be and the people who work there are very polite and kind, I really enjoyed seeing the horses also they look really looked after. There's about no downsides of this place, it's great and it's just a all out good place.

Mia Kaveri: So I went there for a year and it was hell. First you pay £35 for half hours lesson and doing there chores or a test.They don’t teach you anything. Their horses and pony’s are amazing but that kick and bite ( which they warned us about) and they do nothing if you get hurt. Then the trainer is really bad has no idea what she talks about, but it’s not true what they say. The people over there are really mean and have no common sense.horses are poor kept for. If you want to go to a stable that has amazing people and have QUALIFIED trainer. And where horses don’t harm you. You should go to Brampton stables.
Ben Deboer: I have been riding here for over a year. I have had lots of good lessons and my favourite trainer is scarlet.

Parking for horse lorrys and trailers was all taken by cars, had to park the trailer in the small hgv park, only just big enough in spaces for a small rally, no staff to be seen....Made our way to the warm up, no staff present... A rider had a fall, no first aid or staff, when staff did appear they were clearly inexperienced and allowed too many riders in the warm up area, all in a badly organised show!
