freya houston: A late review, however more accurate in retrospect. I was undiagnosed and unknown to have ADHD at that time and Sarah was brilliant teaching me to learn Spanish in various unconventional ways, knowing that the way at school clearly wasn't working for me. I went from low end grades to finishing my GCSE with a B (which was amazing for me). Thank you Sarah :)
Poppy Lile: Sarah is a fantastic teacher who is very patient, fun and engaging. Her lessons are always effective and greatly entertaining! They make me excited to go to the next lesson. She has made me much more confident in speaking French and she helped me through all my mock exams. I have made so much progress with Sarah and can't recommend her enough.
Tom Glenn: I had a lesson weekly with Sarah for a year and without the lessons I would've really struggled to get a good grade in Spanish. Sarah helped me fix my problems and develop things I didn't previously understand to ensure I was comfortable with what I needed to do to be successful. Sarah has been hard-working enthusiastic and supportive throughout the year and I can't recommend her highly enough. Sarah helped me be ready for my mock exams and after the cancellation of my real exam this has been even more important to me as it's meant I could still achieve the grade I want and I wouldn't have been able to do it without Sarah.

Sarah is a lovely bubbly tutor who is always positive; there's no need to nervous as Sarah makes you feel right at home. Luc Murphy: Sarah gave me German lessons for 8 months leading up to my A Level exam. I plan to study German at University and needed to improve my verbal skills and confidence to ensure a good grade.I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough. From the start, her lessons were well planned and engaging. She always went to great lengths to ensure I had understood each lesson and provided additional work for me to practise at home. She is very good at communicating complex grammar structures and simplifying them in a way that is easy to understand and put into practise. Within a few months, my confidence and ability had greatly improved to the point where I felt very comfortable walking into my exam.Sarah has given me the skills I now need to take German forward to University. If you need a German teacher, Sarah should be your first choice.

She has helped me to develop my skills and performance to an extent where I’m now predicted to achieve A grades, which definitely without question could not have happened without Sarah’s help. The amount of extra work and support she gives is extraordinary and she will do whatever it takes to help you and teach you in the best way possible. david stanton: hi , im a mature student that has been learning german with sarah for the past 9 years , I've gone from counting up to 10 to reading german broadsheets, writing essays and conversation german on many many subjects, my level of knowledge of the german language is often complimented on when i visit germany , yes I've put the hard yards in ,BUT the level of patience ,understanding and teaching from sarah is outstanding .we have covered so many subjects to enhance my german language skills they are too many to mention , if you're thinking of private tuition look no further ,sarah is the real deal .
Elizabeth Eyre: I am one of the students Sarah taught throughout my GCSEs last year. In the first year of my GCSEs I really didn't like german, only getting C's and B's on my controlled assessments, but after starting to go to Sarah's in the second year I started to improve; first with an A on my speaking and then an A* on my writing! Although german has never been a strong passion of mine and I still didn't really like it in lessons, I did enjoy going to my private sessions with Sarah once a week. She made the language easier to understand, she was enthusiastic and she would also play fun games :D .If your son or daughter doesn't enjoy doing a language or really struggles with it I would highly recommend Sarah as a tutor.

Will Hinde: Sarah has taught my 15 year old son weekly for the last half term. Sarah teaches him using techniques that make French interesting and pertinent to him. Sarah's enthusiasm and energy are infectious and my son genuinely looks forward to his French lessons. In the last half term he has gone from a C to a B we are so pleased with his progress, fantastic!
Fiona Horne: Sarah visited us in July to deliver training to myself, a secondary specialist, and 4 primary colleagues. The purpose of the training was to bridge the gap between KS2 and transition to KS3. There was no question that Sarah was the person to do the job, as she had delivered 4 amazing training session to myself and other secondary specialists through the academic year. This sessions did not disappoint! Her training has helped to totally change the way I teach and I know that this is the same for my colleagues, both primary and secondary. Her sessions always invigorate my enthusiasm for my job. I can't recommend her training enough!

Nick Morton: My 12 year old daughter attends extra tuition with Sarah once a week for an hour. She was finding it hard to settle into Languages at her new school so we asked around and Sarah came highly recommended. From the start it immediately boosted her confidence in French and she now says how much fun it is compared to her secondary school teacher!Sarah is patient and plays lots of language games to with her to keep her engaged but makes them be their best. She also gives awards to motivate, and my daughter was over the moon when she got Student of the Week!If your child needs a bit of extra help my daughter says she's awesome. Can't get better than that!

Hayley musson: I started my course in September and had to have some time after due to a very bad mental health conditjen tutor was not helpful when back for one class and explained what happened then I was off sick and she's now withdrawn me from the course.

Bill Pearson: A group of us were there for a Xmas lunch (9/12/21) cooked and supplied by the catering students (but overseen by watchful staff). Generally the food was excellent as was the service by the students. A few grumbles about vegetables being luke warm and main courses not served at the same time and having to watch other guests eat. The price for the quality of food and its presentation was exceptional value. Many commercial restaurants we have been to would not score 8/10 as the marks we gave here
roblox fan: bad moving on corse, ( was bullied and the class mates where rude and inappropriate. the staff never knew what was going on half the time and ended up leaving I do not recommend this corse. yet alone ambers taxi contract that they have/had.
Richard Keenan: We went to the open day and what we experienced so far is that all the staff we met were very polite and friendly. Everything we asked about they answered and gave use more information that we didn't know. My daughter was very impressed and I think she has made her mind up about where she will be going in September
Craig Mckirdy: Cancelled my sons football course the Friday before he was due to start on the Monday. He was attending pre course training and was told then. No official communication from the college. We had to contact them. Hundreds of pounds spent on kit etc. Thanks for the stress.

krishanna robinson: This is for the adult English GCSE course. My tutor was fantastic! Which of course made the whole thing thoroughly enjoyable. Building was a nice big, clean building and staff were always helpful and polite. A wonderful experience in all and I cant wait to return to do my GCSE maths.

Hayley Bright: Hi, I am midway through my course in Film, Media and Television studies and I'm regretting it a lot. They treat you nicely in the first year but right after that they seem cold and uncaring towards you.I've been struggling to attend due to the train strikes and I've received no support or sympathy from them for it. There was one instance I was not informed via any communication that my lecturer was attending a strike so I travelled over just to find out from someone else it is cancelled. They don't consider people who can't afford accommodation and have to travel.The workload is insane and I feel like I'm being drained dry of mental capacity. This has been killing any passion I had left for this subject and I realise I would've been better off going straight to work after compulsory education. I'm now going to be in thousands of debt for an experience I would never take again.Really hope it gets better from here but I feel like it would be better to rely on yourself to get the job you want someday rather than have a uni put you through this. It's a shame.

Pinky Pie: I would not recommend this university to my worst enemy. They are disorganised, communication is very poor and there is no accountability. We graduated late compared to other universities and 2 months after finishing our course we are still waiting for our Pins. The University has committed a string of mistakes, has not once taken proper responsibility, does not inform students of what is going on and we, students, have to find out by third parties. Go elsewhere and protect your mental health.
Rameez Ali Syed: Very unprofessional, International students are not welcome here, they will treat like you are from a very lower background, Called 3 times to get some information the girl which refuse to give me the name with a Chinese accent, Rudely said go to the website and everything is there and hang up my call and she did that 3 times, called to the complaints department she is not ready to listen all she claims you dialled the wrong department and I asked her okay give me the right department number and the call went straight to the same lady, so they all gang up promoting the wrong culture inside the uni and unfortunately no one is there to say wrong to wrong doing, if the management is like this then I can imagine what kind of education is been provided there.

Erzsébet Simon: This school is realy good if you want your children to learn but most of the teachers are really strict and only care about 'Representing the school well' But it is still a good school so i would give it 3.5 stars but i cant so im giving it 3 stars.

Nikola Bartus: this school is horrible, most of the students are badly behaved idk how it's apparently one of the best schools in Northampton, half of the time it's just jokes and the substitute teacher miss duke gives you moves and removes for no reason. also you get a detention for not tucking ur shirt in when it's not even that deep? and I don't get why we can't wear trainers instead when loads of other schools that allow them. the teachers are rude and they don't actually care about ur education but they do care about the uniform which doesn't even make sense. and then the learning managers don't do anything when u tell them ur in beef w someone and that it's getting worse. they give u way too much homework and ie for only 5 moves which is quite easy to get as most teachers are quite unfair when giving them.

Rebecca Tate: I’m really happy with the way northampton academy has supported my son through a difficult period of anxiety. The return to school after lock down and pressure from exams caused so much anxiety, it presented in making him physically Ill and he missed school.I felt that the staff I spoke to about this were genuinely concerned, both he and I were listened to and he was helped to deal with his issues in a positive way.

NO support at all if you struggling.Like a prison.Ofsted really need to check on them really close.

Michelle Hartley: My niece wanted to go to Northampton academy as it was the closest school as she would have to walk, but because she lived 0.2 miles out of the catchment area she has been refused entry. She was however accepted to a school nearly 2 miles further away.

Jane Chesters: My niece has just left this school and we have been very impressed. She has just been accepted into a really good university and says it is because of the teachers there. They made her believe she could do it and helped her. I don't understand the comments about the headteacher. She is quite strict with them but is also very good making sure they work hard and no excuses. All of my nieces friends are going to university too and say the teachers helped them massively and the headteacher has made a big difference.Thank you to all the teachers at the school.
Peter Keightley: Had to visit the school site the other morning to drop something off for my son and now the school has turned in to a prison, only thing it requires now is a slight name change to HMP Northampton Academy.Had to buzz and wait 5 minutes to get on to the site and then buzz to get in the door to reception, then on exit had to buzz several times and wait 10 minutes to leave site. Good job it was sunny because if it was raining i would have sent the dry cleaning bill to the school and see if the warden would pay it.
